Copernicus grinned. "Yes, I suppose I am rather proper at times. It sounds as if my father and your father would get along famously, although it might be dreadfully dull for the two of us."

He would have to take her thoughts on Miss Mckenna as fact, although they were complete supposition. There would most certainly be a conversation with her soon. "I'm glad you feel comfortable with me. It makes having to live in the same house so much easier than if you found me reprehensible."

Lo got to the table with the particular purpose of letting everyone see that she could dress her feet properly with two of the same pair of shoes on each foot. She wanted Peter, if anyone, to see this most...but seeing as he wasn't around. She found two people sitting together at the table and decided that two witnesses of her normalcy was as good as it would get. And besides...they were both from her house so why not make some friends.
"Hello," she said as she sat down next to the two Ravenclaws. I don't think I've seen either of you around Hogwarts...which is funny since we're all in the same house," she added, pondering this strange fact for a moment. "I'm Lo. Lo Bennett," she said, smiling.

It was not unusual to find Sabrina's mind wandering off when it really should be paying attention. And so nobody would be surprised to see that the girl looked like she was staring at nothing when really, her mind was buzzing over the book she'd just finished reading.

Preoccupied as she was, Sabrina failed to realise that she had already taken a seat on the Ravenclaw table next to Willow and the surprise was that she had not tripped or fallen on the way. It was when she smelt the food around her and wrinkled her nose that she was brought back into reality.

The wrinkling of her nose was a standard reaction when the blonde approached food, unless it was dessert time, because she found the smell of non-vegetarian food revolting. Looking around to see if there was anything she would like to eat, Sabrina finally realised she was sitting next to Willow, her friend since ... well ... third year? Or was it second? She couldn't remember all that well. Besides, she didn't get a chance to talk to Willow for a long time.

"Haaaiiii!" She chirped, "What's up?"

Hmm. Cookies. Now that was more like the food she loved. Reaching out, she grabbed one and took a small bite.

Tammy felt a pang of relief fly through her and she grinned. "Thats okay. Im not hungry." Truth is she hadnt been hungry in a LOOOONG time, but she was eating. Little snacks randomly.

So the good things that had came out of sitting here, she had realised Willow Kovac was not a Hufflepuff girl eater and she was quite nice.

"If he likes books -your father, that is- then I'm sure they would get along just fine. We own a bookstore, so he's pretty into them." Willow tried very hard to not make a face a this - and she managed, somehow, to succeed.

About was Willow to comment on the houses thing, and how it really was problem to live with people you didn't like, when they were joined by someone else. A fellow Ravenclaw girl. "Likewise," commented Willow lightly, "And it's nice to meet you, Lo. I'm Willow. And this is Copernicus," she gestured at the Ravenclaw boy, "And Tamzin." And now, her hand gestured at the Hufflepuff girl who's last name she'd already forgotten. "Sabrina!" Willow's tone was almost shocked; she'd not seen Sabrina in a long time, and had occasionally wondered if the blonde had fallen off the face of earth. "I mean - how are you?"

Tammy was suhrounded by Ravenclaws and all of a sudden she felt utterly minute and tiny. She felt her eyes burn into the table and through her legs as more people came and spoke to the two people she was sitting with. AAAND now she was being introduced to people she didnt knowww the name of.

Ahhh man, but atleast none of them had eaten her yet. She looked up at teh person Willow had just intorduced her too and gave her a light smile.

Lo followed Willow's hand around the table to all the new people. Copernicus...Tamzin...Sabrina she repreated to herself as she met them all. Well it's very nice to meet all of you!" she said excitedly. So many students she didn't even know of, let alone Ravenclaws. It made her almost sad to think of all the wonderful people she was missing out on.

Then she focused her attention back to the new group of students she had met and looked back at Willow. "You're very pretty," she said bluntly. Lo had a tendency to be uncomfortably forward at times, but she rarely noticed. That was always just the way her family was.

Lo turned to the Hufflepuff girl that had smiled at her and smiled back. "How are you enjoying our common room? I quite like having you all, though I'm sure you miss your own," she commented with a smile.

Tamzin smiled and replied to teh girl whos name she hadnt caught, just through plain idioticness. "You too." She smiled and chuckled really quietly so no-one could hear when the girl said Willow was pretty. of course she was, Tammy wasnt not going to not agre, she just wouldnt say it out loud and as blunt as she had.

The girl was speaking to her now and Tammy had no utter idea what she was talking about until she mentioned missing something. The common room. "Oh, your common rooms very lovely. And some of the people are nice." Those some were the few she was talking to as nobody else really had spoken to her. "But I do miss the yellow and black." She sighed inwardly.

Lo nodded in agreement. She couldn't imagine not having her Ravenclaw themed common room to come back to when she felt like it. "Oh yes, we try to be as welcoming as we can! And it's quite nice to have my best friend, Peter, to talk with in the common rooms now. Perhaps you know him? Peter Botwin? He's in your house. I was trying to look for him when I came down here...and I'm rambling," she said finally and stopped talking.

She looked around, half-searching for Peter and half-embarrassed by her rambling.

Tammy chuckled softly. "No... I dont know him sorry." She apologised but stopped realising what could she be apologising for. The girl hadnt asked her any questions, like that she could feel bad about. Tamzin once more smiled at the girl. "What year is he in?" Maybe that would help.

"Oh he's a fifth year, like me." she replied with a big smile. "He's sorta tall...blonde hair...he'd like you. You're very nice," she stated in a matter-of-fact tone.

Tammy smiled, quite proud of herself, she was being called nice. The loner weirdo that liked sheep was being called nice by a nice girl. "Thanks." Tamzin smiled at her. "Lucky you. 2 years left, afetr summer." She chuckled.

Lo smiled brightly. "Yes, I absolutely love it here! I'm going to miss it. But I'm excited to move on to careers. I'd love to be a healer. What about you?" she asked the girl with a smile.

Tamzin was very nice...she reminded Lo of herself...only a year older...and unique.

"Im not too sure really.. I havent given it much thought. Although i know I shouldve." She admitted biting her lip HARD.

"Oh don't worry!" she exclaimed, worried that the poor girl would bite so hard she'd make her lip bleed. "You have time to figure that all out! In fact, Peter's dad changed careers twice before realizing that he really wanted to take care of dragons," she explained.

She wished her parents were magical, but summers with Peter's family made up for it. And in two years, she would be able to live full-time in the wizarding world. She would,of course, visit her parents, but she'd get to live in a house where using your wand would be helpful and normal instead of revealing to the muggle world.

Tammy looked even more dumbfounded at the girl then. "Thats the best friend right?" Had she missed something before? Oh god, she probably semed really really ignorant and she didnt mean to at all.

She laughed. "Yes that's him," she answered. "You're funny," she said, laughing again that the girl looked as though she was so worried she had missed something.

She then started looking around for Peter. All this talk of him reminded her that he was who she had initially been looking for. The boy was impossible to locate though.

Tammy blushed. Was she funnny? No she wasnt intentially. She liked to be serious, it always got you somehwere in life. Or so she thought. "So who else do you know in Hufflepuff?" She asked the girl quite politely.

"Hmmm...well I know you know, right?" she said enthusiastically before frowning. It was strange. She was sure she knew a couple more...or at least one...yet all the madness with common rooms and whatnot gave her a sort of confusion of who was who.

"I'm not quite sure that I do know anyone else," she said finally, staring off at nothing in particular as she continued to search hard for a better sorting of the people she knew.

Peter walked into the Great Hall, searching along the Ravenclaw table for....THERE! He could spot her wavy brown hair from a mile away. He shook his head at her and how difficult it was to find her in this school. Almost like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

"I've been looking all over for you," he said finally as he ruffled her hair and sat next to her. He noticed she seemed to be in the middle of a conversation with another Hufflepuff. He turned to face the girl. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to interrupt. I'm Peter, nice to meet you," he said with a warm smile and extended a hand.

"Its okay. I dont know aloot of Ravenclaws. I sorta keep myself to myself..." She paused. That was the problem. She had to be a bit more open and speak more. Silly Tammy.

She looked up to see a boy. Peter, ahhh. That fitted okay. "Tammy" She returned his smile and beckoned for him to sit down.

Peter nodded as the girl introduced herself. "So...you've been keeping my dear friend company while I search all over the school for her," he said, looking scoldingly at Lo for the last part, but turning back to Tammy with a smile.

"Ahhh...a fellow Hufflepuff! I like you already," he said chuckling and grabbing a roll from Lo's plate.

Tammy chuckled. "Yeah, sorry about that. She was looking for you. I just didnt want to let her go." Tammy laughed and took a cocktail sausage over the trifle already been pushed infront of her by Copernicus.

Tamzin laughed. "We hufflepuffs. Have to stick together ey?"

Copernicus opened his mouth to respond to Tammy, or to Willow, or to the sudden influx of people who were speaking in his immediate vicinity, but found himself drowned out. It was like the whole common room thing all over again.

"Nice to meet you lot," he blinked at the new additions before looking to Willow to gauge her reaction. Calmer than he would have anticipated, and his shoulders unhunched in response.

Lo smiled at Tammy, but she was still bothered by the fact she couldn't seem to classify which house her friends were all in...or was that a good thing?

Then she heard Peter and turned around with a smile on her face, shrugging away from him as her ruffled her hair. "Hey!" she giggled. She was about to introduce him to Tammy but he had done it himself...adding a small scolding at the end. "Hey! You are just as difficult to find when needed!" she said in her own defense.

She smiled then at Tammy's comment. "Yes, and I didn't want to leave her either! She's too much fun to talk to," she added, rolling her eyes at Peter as he took her bread roll.
