David makes his through the Great Hall, clearly stunned by the enormously huge walls, high ceiling and then sets his eyes on Ravenclaw table. He's mildly nervous, hoping he'll make some new friends this term. He walks timidly, though for some reason not knowing why.

As David approaches his new table, he begins to feel the pit of stomach open up again. "Oh no, what if they don't like me," David thinks in the back of his mind.

"Please make friends, please make friends, please make friends."

Jule feels strange now. She looks up to see a boy walking towards the table. He looks really nervous to her. "oi! Come sit with us. What's your name?" she asks. Once she gets a close look at him, she sees he's not that bad looking. Maybe Vicky had rubbed off on her.

Kel chuckled, looking down at the food on the table. "Well...maybe not a million." he said, grinning again. "But I know a lot. Most of the people I've met are Ravenclaws." he explained, glancing over at Satine and waving at her when she said something to him.

He kinda hoped she was right, too. He usually had some trouble making friends, and now that he was at Hogwarts for the next five years, he'd better hope he got some good friends.

And he probably would. If he just let go of some of his...hostility, he was sure that he'd have friends in no time - well...maybe he could start gradually. There was no need for any drastic changes in the future, start out small and then become the person you really are; the person you are when you're parents aren't around. he told himself.

Coming back to the present, he nodded to the girl Mariel introduced him to. Pleasure to meet you, Lasca." he said, nodding his head again, this time as sort of a mini-bow. He laughed quietly and shortly at her welcome. Yeah, Ravenclaws were biased. But he could see why...this wasn't a bad house, and he'd only gotten to the table!

Satine made a bee-line back to the Ravenclaw table after saying hello to her Slytherin friends. She was so excited that everyone had been sorted into the houses they wanted. She noticed that more first years had taken seats around her other new friends.

"Howzit! I'm Satine! It's great to meet you all! I can't believe how great the food is! I think I could eat seven of me in one night of all of this food!" She looked around at the new faces trying to get everyone's names memorized...

"Wow, there sure are a lot of us newbies this year! So everyone share a little bit about yourself. We might as well start getting to know each other now!" She said with a whip of her wand to pull her long deep purple hair up into a twist.

"Thanks! I was named after some Muggle movie that my mom fell in love with. Yes, I know the list said that we could only have a cat or an owl, but I've had Gemma for years and I couldn't leave her at home, so my mom sent an owl to make sure it was okay. We never heard back, so we assumed no news was good news." Satine finished by grabbing some pineapple and feeding it to Gemma in her bag.

"Hey ya! I'm Ivy, come on and have a seat," Ivy said cheerfully, hardly believing that she could possibly be so outgoing. "You just have to try this food, it is incredible!"

Walking quickly towards the doors of the Great Hall, Rachel smoothed down her robes and patted down her wild hair in attempt to look more presentable. Apparently it's not such a good idea to meet your uncle down by the station only to get a few hairpins then miss the wagons and be forced to fly up to the school gates with said uncle. Not to mention the long walk uphill from the gates to the actual school which had officially soaked up the last bit of her energy.

As she reached the doors, Rachel stopped herself and spent another two minutes arranging her hair into a loose french braid using her last efforts to make it look as if she had simply taken a while to walk over from the carriages. Uh huh... You're deranged if you think people will believe that! Sighing, she squared her shoulders and crossed the threshold into the Hall, her gleaming blue-and-bronze Prefect's Badge pinned proudly on her chest as she made her way over to the Ravenclaw table.

She scanned the Staff table and saw that Headmaster Bontecou had not arrived yet - which meant that the speech hadn't been delivered year. Oh good. She smiled in relief then turned her head towards her House table and searched for a seat that wasn't completely surrounded by babbling, over excited first years. Sure, if they had questions they could always come over and ask her - but there was no way she was going to sit herself in the middle of all that literally brain numbing chatter.

Spotting a lone seat further down the table that wasn't occupied by 11-year-olds, she quickly made her way over and dunked herself down onto it before turning to see who she had sat down next to. "Keltan! You're a Ravvie!" she exclaimed happily as she recognized the young boy next to her. Perfect!

"well I'm half and half. T dad was a slytherin and my mum's a muggle. As you already know I'm one of those M people." she laughed

Natka looked down the Ravenclaw table, searching for someone she knew. she'd split up with her Gryffindor friends once they reached the Great Hall and made their way to their House tables.

However, she quickly spotted Lasca'a head over the crowd, and decided to head over to the girl. She'd only just met her, but the fellow third-year Claw seemed very friendly back in the compartment.

"Hi, Lasca! Mind if I join you?" Natka asked, smiling, and indicating a seat opposite the girl.

"I am happy now that we are here" she smiled at Thomas and Jules. She starts to eat a steak and kidney pie.

"I'm so excited to. And we are in the greatest house with the smartest and best looking! What could be better?!?!?" Satine said with a smile.

"Well, I'm half and half also. My mom was in Ravenclaw. After college, she traveled the world and fell in the love with my dad. He was very supportive of her being a wizard. And I guess the rest is history...I've gotten to grow up in both the Wizard and Muggle world." She smiled thinking about all of the differences between the worlds and everything she liked about each of them.

"I am a muggleborn, great grandma was a witch" she smiled at the new girl "I am Victoria by the way".

"Great to meet you Victoria! Where you planning on being in Ravenclaw?"

"Yes, my great grandma was in ravenclaw and she was a chaser on the quidditch team". She smiled thinking of how proud her great grandma would be of her."

Laura walked into the Great Hall with her head bowed. Looking up as she heard a voice she recognised, she gaped in awe. It was even more incredible than her sister had said! The voice she had recognised was Victorias, and she hastened over to the Ravenclaw table.

"Hi," she said a little breathlessly. "Room for one more?"

"That's awesome. My mom was a chaser when she went here, too! I can't wait to send an owl home to tell her I'm in Ravvie!" She could imagine her mom's face when the owl arrived.

"Howzit! I'm Satine! There's always room for another first year! We just keep getting to be a bigger and bigger class. How exciting!" Satine said with a smile.

Barry had been all alone on the train. He now realised that he didn`t have that many freinds in Ravenclaw or in any other house except for the few that liked him. Which just proved Barry needed to get out more, really. Sitting down on the table he saw new faces and said "Welcome to hogwarts!" with a forced smile trying to forget his worries for all the little first years

"cool. I grew up in the wizarding world. Mom was okay with it until I began doing magical things."

"Hi Satine!" Laura said. "I'm Laura! I can't believe how many Ravenclaw firsties there are, and I know that at least two more have to come," she added, thinking of her friends Isabella and Shaunee. "Are there as many in the other houses?" If there are, Laura thought, it's no wonder the Great Hall is so big!

Looking around, Laura saw that one of the older students had sat down with them. Hearing his welcome, she smiled back and stuck out her hand. "Thanks," she said, "I'm Laura by the way!"

"My Mum was a Ravenclaw, her sister too. My dad is American, he's some kind of Ambassador or something for the Yank's Ministry of Magic." She burped softly and covered it with a giggle, hoping no one noticed.

Laura smiled at Ivy. "American, eh?" she said. "That's cool, you got family over there?!"

"I am going to try out for the team next year, I have to send an owl to my parents tomorrow. I have a tawny owl called Merlin" she paused to take a breath.

"Wow, Vicky! Already decide, huh?" Laura smiled at her friend. "Although," she continued, "I'd love to be a chaser or seeker!" Laura laughed and pulled a platter of roast potatoes towards her.

Barry nodded to Laura she looked like a nice girl, but still she was a first year. And first years should be welcomed and treated as nicely as possible. He shook Laura`s hand and nodded, "its nice to meet you Laura, its Barry, so you like hogwarts?"

"hmm I dunno if I should try out next year. I love flying but I'm such a cluts." said Jule and got sad.

"It's amazing!" Laura said to Barry. "Well, what I've seen of it! What's the rest of this place like? If this is the size of the Great Hall, I'm sure I'll get lost around the rest of the Castle!"

Turning to Jule she said, "Don't be daft, Jule! No one is as much of a clutz as me, and if I managed to go 4 years doing gymnastics without landing on someone or breaking something, I'm sure you'll be able to fly brilliantly!" She grinned at Jule, hoping to cheer her up, she looked quite upset.
