"Aw, I thought you were great," Mariel, happy to be getting her way, beamed at Sarah. "Especially for your first time at playing the game." Finishing the very last of her pumpkin juice and contemplating refilling - oh! now was a good time to practice that refilling charm - Mariel glanced up at Sarah and gave her a shrug. She had never heard of any weight training program at school, but wasn't someone telling her about some sort of room that had anything you required just by thinking of it? Oh, right! It was Sarah that had told her about it, although they never actually visited it.
Tapping the side of her goblet with her wand and commanding, "Repleo," she watched as her goblet only filled up halfway with pumpkin juice. "Still need to work on that one," she murmured to herself. Shrugging lightly, the third year glanced up at Sarah. "What was that room you were telling me about last year? The Room of Requirement? Maybe you could find something in there to help you out."
Listening intently to Sarah's next words, Mariel gave her a reassuring smile. "Well, if it helps any, everyone embarassess themselves at some point on the pitch - even me. So I'm sure you will too, but just laugh it off cuz everyone else will do it too." Cringing slightly at the memory, she remembered a particularly embarassing spiral she had gone into while everyone else went after the quaffle. And that was during practice after she had made the team, but it seemed so long ago now.
Quickly taking a sip of pumpkin juice to hide the blush growing in her cheeks thanks to Sarah's compliment, Mariel said, "Well... thanks... I really hope so, anyway." She didn't even want to think about not making the team.
Mariel's grin could not get any wider at the sound of Jenn yelling her name, although she did giggle slightly as her fellow third year jumped and dropped the roll in her hand. She couldn't be happier to see the friend that she had drifted apart from last year. "I'm good, you?" she called back. "Come join us!" Mariel added, motioning her over with her hand. She knew Sarah, sitting next to Mariel, would be just as glad to see Jenn for she was pretty sure she hadn't seen much of her last year either. And from the sound of it, Jenn knew Keltan as well which made it even more fun for conversation, since they were all sitting next to each other. Quote:

Room? Oh yes,now she remembered what Mariel was talking about. "You may have a point there.You're supposed to be able to get it filled with anything,as long as you concentrate on it hard enough.I'll have to search it out,though.I've plain gone and forgotten where I heard it was!"
Yeah it was a forgone conclusion that she would embarrass herself.At least she was safe in the knowledge that even the best..ie Mariel...had trouble at times. "Well that's good to hear...." oooh that could sound bad. "Not good to hear you have trouble sometimes,but uhhh....you know...that I wouldn't be alone...you know what I mean!" Sarah smacked herself in the forehead and laughed.She really needed to think through things in her head before she said them.Luckily Mariel was her best friend and wouldn't take it the wrong way.....

Looking up and down the table, Satine begins to notice that there are lots of students that obviously have full bellies and are not getting ready for the dismissal from the great feast. Many of the conversations around the table have started to die down.
She begins wondering to herself, "So what happens now? Do we get our class schedules tomorrow?" These thoughts were making her mind spin round and round and she hoped she wasn't the only one feeling this way.
She knew her face had to be red with the frustration of not knowing what comes next.

Smiling at Sarah as they conversed a little more about Quidditch, Mariel mirrored her actions and rested her own elbows on the table. The long day full of excitement at being back at school and seeing her friends again was finally catching up to the young girl and she let out a long yawn before quickly covering her mouth with her right hand. Suddenly feeling ready to head up to the dorms and collapse on the first bed she saw, Mariel glanced up at the Staff Table. The Headmaster still hadn't made his speech - in fact, he wasn't even present yet. Not that she was all that surprised really given his personality.
Shrugging softly, the third year helped herself to some pudding while she continued chatting with her friends. Grinning at Sarah's apparent foot in her mouth, she chuckled lightly before saying, "Yeah, I know what you mean. It's not so bad to embarass yourself when others are doing it too." She glanced quickly to the doors of the Great Hall to see if anyone else was arriving. Nope, still no Professor Bontecou. "I'm really getting tired," Mariel mumbled to herself as she looked around and noticed several others seemed to share her sentiment.
However, Mariel tried to look a little more awake as Jenn joined them. She grinned as Sarah greeted her with excitement and proceeded to tell her a little of their shared summer adventure. Nodding her agreement, she said, "Yeah it was really a lot of fun... and Sarah was not bad at Quidditch. I'm trying to talk her into going out for the team." Mariel gave her Hufflepuff friend a playful nudge.
Oh, they mentioned Lasca... but did Jenn know her? "Do you know Lasca, Jenn?" she asked as she gestured to the girl on Sarah's other side, and who now appeared to be in deep conversation with Nate.

Where in Merlin's lost pinky toe could the Headmaster be?"she asked, scooting her plate forward then laying her head on the table, yawning again. She had never seen a Headmaster be so late in her life, and other's were starting to get rowdy and other's tired as they waited. It had to be atleast almost midnight. It felt like it.
Her eyes widened. "Really? You should do that Sarah! Then I can cheer for both you and Mariel! It would be fun!"she said, nodding excitedly. "I really mean it. You should try out. Maybe if you do, then I'll give it a shot. I always get nervous though in a big crowd."
Jenn thought for a moment, then nodded slowly. "I think I met her breifly. We talked if I remember, but that was it."she shrugged.

I'm really looking forward to Tranfiguration, and DADA. I'm not sure about muggle studies though; you see, I grew up in the muggle world, even though I'm a half-blood, so I already know a lot about it!"

Laylee took a seat and looked around the room. She was going to miss everything and everyone so much. This was her last first feast of the year. She frowned. Laylee looked over all the faces trying to find Maura at her table. When she didn't see her she scanned over the Gryffindor table for Chandan. Again, couldn't find him. She huffed slightly and grabed a roll. Then, Laylee reminded herself that she needed to make the most of her last year here. She grinned to herself and looked to the ceiling. So many stars. It made her happy.

Jule looked at Laura. She was feeling just as impatient as her. She wished divad was around. She laid her head on the table and began playing with a fork. Jule then turned to Thomas. "fair enough I guess. I'll let her know. But maybe you should talk to her."

I mean, I'm trying to learn how to be an animagas, but it's really hard. I'll probably get it when I graduate and are married or something like that. It's really fun to turn cups and other things into animals, or animals into cups and etc. You'll love DADA. The teacher's great! Last year we learned how to get ride of boggarts, and some students learn how to do potronuses. I was sick, so didn't learn that."she sighed saddly. She looked at Laura and smiled. "Really? Thomas took a s;ice of cherry pie and one cup full of water. Thomas looked around the table looking for something else which was interesting to eat. He looked to his left his right and in front of him. Suddenly some thing caught Thomas' eye, it was a piece of chicken or a duck and it was covered with dough. He took the smallest piece on the plate. When he took his first bite he felt that he ate the most hottest but tastiest thing he ate in his whole life. It was delicious.
