Taking another sip of pumpkin juice, Mariel glanced up from the table, noticing a boy limp over from the Slytherin table. Was that Kevin? And why was he limpiing like that? Watching the boy for a moment, she realized that it was indeed Kevin but he sat himself down at the other end of the table and immersed himself inconversation with some other Ravenclaws. Not wanting to interrupt, Mariel gave him a cheerful wave when he appeared to look in her direction. They could talk later - and she definitely wanted to ask him about his leg. Hopefully nothing was seriously wrong... especially as that might affect his Quidditch try outs.

Chuckling at Sarah's pantomime, Mariel nodded. "The bats aren't all that heavy," she said, remembering when she had once played Beater. "The weights might do you some good in hitting those Bludgers hard though, but good aim is what's really important."

Laughing a bit harder as Sarah made her threat, she gave her a smile and playful nudge. "Aw, come on. You never know until you try. You need to have more confidence than that." What Sarah needed was a confidence boost, much like Nancy did last year... which gave her an idea. "How about when Hufflepuff has tryouts, I'll cheer you on from the stands?"

Mariel's mouth opened in feigned shock as she leaned past Sarah to look at Lasca. "You haven't decided yet?!" What was there to decided about? Lasca enjoyed the sport, why wouldn't she want to play? That just did not make sense at all to the Quidditch-obsessed third year.

"After all the fun we had over the summer?" Mariel shook her head playfully in mock disappointment. "You know how much fun we'll have if we're on the same team," she added and said the same thing she told Sarah. "You'll never know what'll happen unless you try out." And really, what's the worst that could happen? Even Mariel had embarassed herself on the pitch on more than one occassion and had plenty of injuries as well, thanks to the aggressiveness of her team. She subconciously rubbed her shin in the memory of one particularly painful kick from Nia. But that was all an acceptable part of the game - and worth it considering the amount of fun it was.

Kevin nodded and said "Yeah Risa you never know unless you don't try" Kevin gave a cheerful wave back to Mariel when he noticed that she was waving to him

Emiliano's smile turned wider when Piper accepted to stay. "Thanks..." He assured to tell her so, he just felt that way about her, thankful at the moment for letting her understand it was a bit of a confusing moment for him.

He let go of her hand, then cleared his throat. "Ready for classes tomorrow?" Em asked her, obviously facing her.

Isabella found her friends at last. but she saw them chatting and thought not to disturb them. so she sat far end of the table.

Giving out a huff of breath Marisa know that Kevin was right, but she would never admit that. "Ummm humm," she said glancing around the room before looking back to Kevin. "So do Slytherins and Ravenclaws have classes together," she wondered out loud.

Kevin nodded at Risa and said "Yeah i think they do but i am not that sure but i do think that both of our houses have classes together"

Hmm, so she definitely would be going to his class and paying attention. Well she would have to for her N.E.W.T's anyway.

"Professor Lawson," she repeated smiling.

She frowned slightly when the professor excused himself. Hmph. Oh well.

"I see. Do you have a favorite subject," she asked looking back over the room.

isabella suddenly realised that Jule wasnt well on the train.she had said that she was fine before Isabella fell asleep.
"how selfish i am," she thought, "i should go and ask her if she is fine," she thought and got up from her place and walked where her 1st year Ravenclaw friends were sitting.

Kevin smiled and said "My favourite subject is Potions"

Lasca smiled again at Mariels passionate argument. She loved when she started talking about it like that. "Alright, alright. I will try out." She gave her best friend a wink as her stomach flip-flopped at the very idea. It was a couple days off which gave her time to possibly practice. They had played a bunch over the summer which might help in the long run.

Shaking her head, she glanced down the table, where Mariel had waved and recognized Kevin. A wide smile came to her lips and she waved. He had also been with them over the summer holiday and she wondered how he was doing. He seemed emmersed in conversation with a few other Ravenclaws which was good. Her brow furrowed slightly as she studied him. Something seemed off but she couldn't pin point what it was.

Making a mental note to ask him later, she turned back to her two best friends. "That means Sarah had to try out too. I'll cheer for you if you cheer for me." Gently proding her in the side with her elbow, she gave Sarah a wink. This was certainly going to be an interesting experience.

"hey jule," said Bella standing behind her after waiting for the right moment to start the conversation
"how are you feeling now?" she asked

"Oh really. I have been reading and I think Potions sounds good. I think it might also become me favorite," Marisa said looking at Kevin as she spoke.

"Oh. You went to America did you? How was it? I've always wanted to go to the States. I heard they are quite lovely," Livvy said, smiling with interest. Oh... there were soooo many places that she had wanted to go to. TOO many.

She heard a small noise come from Mariel and Livvy turned to look away from the Head of House and Quidditch Captain. "What was that, Mariel? Are you okay?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. There couldn't be anything wrong with Mariel... that'd be bbaaaadddd. Ah... .Quidditch. Livvy was so excited and couldn't wait to whack that bludger at someone's head.

Kevin smiled and said "Cool Risa so any other subjects you looking forward to"

"Hey isabella. I'm feeling alot better thanks." she smiled.

"How cool the flute!" Satine had never really seen a Muggle flute so she thought that was a cool hobby to have.

Feeling like Thomas had shot down her cool butterfly idea, she frowned. "I am horrible at growing things..." laughing she continued, "I think I could kill a fake plant."

Waving to the new girl, "Howzit! I'm Satine" she said as the new girl walked towards the Ravvie table.

"Hey Satine, I've been wondering where you were."

"Hmm," Marisa hummed placing her elbow on the table and her chin in her hand. "I think I will be good at Muggle studies," she said with a sly smile. "But I am looking forward to Transfiguration."

"hey i am Isabella Macmillan. you are a first year too?" she asked as she had noticed Shaunee and Satine talk some time ago. she remembered Shaunee from her train compartment.

Kevin nodded and said "Cool Risa i am sure you will enjoy those subjects as well"

"Hey girl! I'm here, I've just been wondering around trying to meet everyone!"

"That's good. Though im kinda bored. once you meet new people, there's like nothing else to do beause haven't gotten our timetables yet."

"so Jule where's Laura? havent seen her around," said Isabella looking here and there to see where Laura is.

Piper's face lit up as she saw Emiliano's smile grow wider as she accepted his invitation to stay. "You are welcome." She said as she nodded. She understood he was confused at the moment, and she knew he needed time. If they were meant to be, well then they would happen. If not.. Piper didn't want to think about that. But at least, she would know right?

Her smiled turned briefly into a frown as he let go of her hand, and she could feel a sudden feeling of emptiness coming over her. She was unselfconsciously rubbing the hand he had held, trying to gain some of the warmth and safety he had lent her back. She smiled at his question. " Well, I'm not to sure really, I think I have gotten to used to summer, and now.. the school year seems to be upon us, and I'm not sure I'm ready for it."

Piper missed the summer, and Em's letters and being with her family and her brothers and sisters. She was back at Hogwarts, a place that held no good memories for her. And she wasn't sure she wanted to be back here just yet. "What about you? Are you ready?" She asked softly.
