"Aha, I see," Natka nodded at hearing about Laura's sister. "No, no teachers you have to watch out for, I don't think... although last year was pretty crazy here," she revealed, thinking about the lessons when their teachers seemed to have gone completely crazy and had acted like children. For instance, Professors Bunbury (Herbology) and Ashby (Charms) sticking themselves to the wall - that had been a rather entertaining, if not slightly worrying, lesson.

"Stuff seems to happen here every year, it's never boring," she added with a smile, and wondered to herself what Hogwarts castle had planned for its students and teachers that year.

" Anyway, you're English, right? Judging by your accent..." Natka asked, curious about Laura's background. "I've lived in England most of my life, but I'm of Russian descent," she added.

"his name is divad. Sorry I'm just so happy."

She waited for Thomas's reply, she turns to the girls and says "I hope he likes me back".

"I'm pretty sure he does."

Laura was really happen to know that each year was different and exciting at Hogwarts, and her smile widened. "Thats good," she said.

"Yes, I've live in England all of my life. My dads a wizard and my mums a muggle, they met when my dad was on a business trip. I grew up in my mums hometown." Laura smiled at the memorys.
"I wasn't really allowed to do anything magical, you know, like fly and stuff, because it's so muggle inhabited! Part of my family are Italian, but I'm really English." She laughed.
"I'd've love to have been descent from somewhere like Russia!"

Laura smiled at Jule, pleased to see her delight. "I'm glad you're happy," she said.

"Don't worry," Laura said, looking at Vicky's anxious face. "Who doesn't like you, your so happy and full of life!" Laura knew that Vicky meant in a different way, so she hurridly added, "And anyway, I've seen him blush when he looks at you..."

She felt really relieved talking to her friend again. "We have a lot of first years so it's kind of hard to keep up with everyone. Every time I turn around there's another one sitting down. And I guess you were right about the sorting hat. At first I was afraid he was going to suck my brain a little, but he just barely sat on mine before he knew where I was going!" She replayed the scene in her head quickly.

"Well, I wonder when we find out what classes we're in. I sure hope we have some together!"

"I hope we are, too!" Aaron looked around at some other Ravenclaws who were giving him weird looks because he was a Slytherin. "I better go back to our table. I'll probably see you tomorrow! And if not, then after classes, okay?" He gave her a hug goodbye, "I can't believe we're finally here!" Aaron walked back to the Slytherin table thinking.

Wow, some of the other first year girls were talking about relationships over there. They can't possibly have a relationship at their age. I mean they are only 11. Or could they? Could they have a relationship?

"thanks." Jule then turned to Vicky. "he does blush around you and when you talk."

Natka grinned hering about Laura's half and half heritage.

" You don't say! I have pretty much the sme thing going on - except my Mum's the witch in my family, she works at St. Mungo's. My Dad was never a great fan of magic, but when I got my letter, he had to accept who I am..." she smiled at Laura.

"Oh, you'll learn to fly here soon enough, and then there's always Quidditch. Although I'm not the best person here to discuss that game, I'm not on the team or anywhere near as enthusiastic about it as some of my friends," Natka said. "Still, it's loads of fun to watch, you'll see."

"I know, I can't wait for it! Just supporting our team!" Laura grinned, but all of a sudden the smile slipped off her face. "No-one's ever actually been seriously hurt, playing, I mean, have they?" She felt really worried. She'd heard stories about Quidditch players being hurt in the game, and if the really goood fliers got hurt, then what about her; the clumbsiest person ever, who'd never even rode a broom before?!

Marisa walked into the Great Hall, unable to believe she was there. She let out a small sigh as she made her way to the Ravenclaw table, after looking around she found a desserted area, perfect she thought to herself as she took a seat.

Kevin limped over to the Ravenclaw table looking for Mariel or any of his other ravenclaw friends when he saw an older girl looking lonely he went over to her and said "Mind if i join you?"

As Aaron, looked up and down the table listening to the conversations going on, she was pretty sure he had the same idea that she did about relationships already.

Satine sadly watched her Slytherin friend walk back to the table. She was really ready for classes to start. She knew her sadness had made her hair turn to a dull blue, so she shook her head to make it purple again.

She looked back around the table and tried to get involved with a conversation with some of the Ravvies around her.

Jule was getting a bit bored. She was Just listening to the other conversations.

Marisa was setting quietly by herself when she heard someone close speak. Looking up she seen a boy who looked to be a little younger then her standing there. Waving a head at the seat across the table Marisa spoke, "Sure go ahead. But I must warn you I might not be very good company."

Mariel nodded slowly as Elizabeth talked about her upcoming exams. Truthfully the third year had no idea what NEWTs would be like so she could understand why the seventh year would be a little nervous about it and her own words probably made little difference. And it was aaages away for Mariel yet so she decided not to give it another thought - at least not for a few years.

Listening intently as the older girl then discussed her plans after graduating, Mariel offered her another smile. "That sounds really fun, actually. I love to read. It would be really cool to read a book that you've written." That was kind of an obvious statement. What Ravenclaw didn't love to read. But at any rate, the third year thought that would be an exciting profession.

Then she noticed Elizabeth glance in the same direction she had just moments ago - Professor V and Willow in conversation. And she was sure the older girl was thinking the same thing she was - Quidditch season about to start. A thought that was confirmed when she spoke briefly about her previous positions. Nodding her agreement, she said, "Yeah, I'm willing to play whatever Willow thinks I'm suited for too. She had pretty good judgement last year." And of course she did, seeing as how they won the cup. Looking up as Elizabeth got up to leave and talk to some of her friends, Mariel smiled again and offered her a wave. "Sure, I'll be there. Bye Elizabeth."

"Oh, glad to hear it, Livvy," Mariel told the older girl as she returned her smile. "My summer was good. I had a really fun visit to America with some of my friends."

The third year then grinned at the older girl's apparent excitement for Quidditch season. Mariel couldn't be happier than to see someone else excited for Quidditch, especially an awesome player like Livvy, and that enthusiasm was always contagious. "Great! Me too," she agreed, then stifled a laugh as she saw Livvy also look in the direction of their Head of House and Quidditch captain. She couldn't wait to get back out on the pitch and fight for that quaffle. And if someone got bitten in the process... speaking of, where was Nia?

And yay! Now everyone around her was talking about Quidditch! What an influence she must be on her friends... teehee. "But, of course," Mariel answered Lasca with a grin. "And you'll be trying out as well.... right?" she asked slowly. And why wouldn't she? It was the best game ever! Everyone would surely want to play. She knew from playing with her over the summer that Lasca was an exceptional flyer and a decent Quidditch player. Ravenclaw could certainly use someone like her on the team.

Turning to Sarah as she also mentioned the game, Mariel gave her a firm nod. "Of course you should try out." She was certainly getting better on her broom and she even got a little game practice in as well that she might be a good player for Hufflepuff. "You know if you play Beater," she added, "You get to hit the Bludgers... so then you don't get hit by them." Well, the logic made sense to Mariel anyway.

Kevin sat down beside the girl and said "That's fine, I am Kevin by the way and you are?" Kevin hoped he would be friends with this girl"

Satine noticed the new comer from the Slytherin table and the new girl housemate. Looking over her shoulder to the other first years and their conversations, she decided she was too lost to understand what they were talking about and decided to start up a conversation with the girl and boy.

"Do ya'll mind if I join in? I have no clue, or even interest, in what the others are talking about." She said smiling.

Laura looked around her for someone to speak to. Satine was there, sitting in silence so she said, "Who was that?" nodding her head to the boy who was retreating from the table.

Shaunee laughed, "You aren't talking about lacrosse are you? I hated Lacrosse but like you I had to play it at school in Cambridgeshire."


"That's cool, my family are all muggles. So they don't really understand about houses and all that. My big sister's cool about it though, well more than my parents. They dont understand how I can leave the family past time of moving country every year." Shaunee rolled her eyes at the thought of her weirdo parents.

Marisa shot the boy a kind smile as he seat down. "My name is Risa or MJ. Which ever you think fits best." She glanced down at the table and then back up to the boy, "Its nice to meet you Kevin."

Marisa looked over at the girl speaking and then back to Kevin. Marisa had never been very sociable and now it seems everyone was talking with her. "Umm sure," she said after finally deciding on the answer.

Laura heard Shaunees voice again. "Shaunee!" she cried. "It's horrible," she said shuddering at the thought of lacross. "I once got hit in the mouth!" she shook her head.
"You used to move country every year?!" She exclaimed. "That'd be amazing, you'd be able to see so much of the world! I might do the grand tour when I finish here, but I've got another seven years to make that descision!"

Sarah nodded along as Mariel talked about tryouts.Beater huh? That's a good point,maybe she should do that.
"You know that makes sense," she started in response, "I may need to do some weights,though,to hold those bats!" Laughing,Sarah put her arms out either side of her and made a pumping action as if she was holding dumbels.
"I quite like the idea of aiming the bludgers at people...." A devious grin slowly formed over her features,"You watch out my dear," she cackled to Mariel,before dissolving into more laughter."I probably won't even make the team!"

Kevin smiled at Risa and said "It's a pleasure to meet you Risa" Kevin was surprised when another girl wanted to join them and said "Sure if Risa says it's fine then it's cool with me"

Natka looked at Laura carefully, trying to guess her thoughts.

"No, not as far as I know of. Remember, the teachers are present at all the games, they are there to help us if anything happens. Quidditch at Hogwarts is a... risky game, but it's as safe here as it gets," Natka assured her.

"And don't worry if you've never flown before - not many first years here have. You'll get the hang of it quickly enough, we have flying lessons, after all," Natka assure her. "As long as you're not scared of heights, I'm sure you'll do great," she grinned reassuringly.

"Did you do any Muggle sports, then?" Natka asked after a moment's pause, curiously.
