Yep, that sounded good. "So what position do want to play this year?" She remembered that Elizabeth was Chaser last year, but was pretty sure she was Beater the year before. Yeah, that sounded right. "I really enjoyed playing Keeper last year. I'm hoping for that again, but, you know, wherever Willow sees fit..."

Elizabeth smiled as Mariel spoke confidently about how she'd do well with her NEWTs. The third year's confidence was interesting, since it wasn't like she had to owrry about the exams quite yet. "Yeah. I mean, conceptually you're right. But then, who knows what all we're going to have to prove on the exams," she pointed out, before getting a little more animated as she was asked about after she graduated. "I want to write. Not sure what, since I could either go into journalism or writing books, but something like that." Working on the Ravenclaw paper would help, but that was only going to be a small part of everything she was planning for this term.

She laughed as Mariel then got excited over the topic of Quidditch, glancing at Wilow for a moment as she saw Professor Vindictus give her something in her peripheral vision, and then going back to the younger girl. "Well, First term I played I was beater, then last term I was chaser. So I don't know if I have a preference. I think I'll just stick with wherever Willow places me, especially since I hadn't expected chaser last term," she answered honestly, before noticing a few new arrivals at the table. Robert. And Mari. Time to figure out who she wanted to talk to first. Picking up her goblet, she looked at Mariel with an apologetic expression. "I'm gonna go talk to some more of my friends, but I'm sure we'll see each other again. Like at tryouts," she said, grinning a little at the end of her statement, then stood up to move further down the table.

It actually was a quick decision, since she had wanted to talk to her surrogate brother more. Since she had seen Mari on the train and everything. And she could talk to her any time, in the dorms for example. Her curiosity about Robert's mood was stronger. So, with a glance at Mari, nodding to indicate she had noticed her and making a note of her friend's vaguely disgruntled appearance, she hoped her best friend would understand. And then she walked up behind Robert.

Smiling a little to herself as she realized her standing position actually made her a little bit taller than him, since he was sitting, she leaned over to wrap her arms around his neck, craning her neck to look at him. "Awww, what's with the scowl?," she asked, before shifting so she was next to him and letting her arms go from around his neck before sitting down. "I missed seeing you on the train. And I think Bella did too."

It wasn't hard to spot the Ravenclaw. "Liz!" Rose exclaimed sitting next to her. "How were your-" She stopped short seeing Robert next to her, "Ohh..hi?" The atmosphere didn't seem to equate her bubbly over the top smile. "Aww." She slumped into the seat next to them on the bench and sighed. Did it have anything to do with Mariska and their breakup? He hadn't really explained the situation properly in the bookshop, which she completely understood but.. still. It'd been bugging her ever since. "How've you been?"

"Howzit! I'm Satine! Welcome to being a Ravvie...the house of the smartest and best looking!" She finished with a wink that change one of the her purple eyes to a deep blue color.

She decided to tell Thomas that she has a crush on him, she goes looking for him. She finds him and kisses him on the cheek.

Laura turned to see Vicky wander off in the direction of Thomas. Smiling to herself, she thought, she's finally got the courage to go and tell him. Turning back to the table, she saw Satine siting with yet another new firstie! "Hi," she said. "I'm Laura."

Giggling inwardly Sarah polished off the remainder of her roll,then nodded to Mariel. "I'm always happy to be around the both of you," she said,squeezing her friend on the arm.
Looking around the assorted people at the table,Sarah sighed quietly to herself.They are making so many new friends here,I wish I could do the same in my own house.

After Nate had joined that table,and completely ignored her,Sarah glanced over to Mariel,who was looking back at her.Were they thinking the same thing? From the look she gave they might have been.

"Tomorrow morning I'll probably be the first one down here since I know I'll starve tonight, but I prefer it this way than having to drink those horrible potions against pain and bloated stomachs," she added rationally as she looked down at her now empty plate, the fork and knife both aligned and placed properly - some habits never die.

"I didn't expect you too... Just sit there and nod your head - that'll be enough," she said jokingly, refilling her goblet with juice and toyed with the cup for a few moments as Kel talked. "Yeah, you have the easy end of the deal. We women have to suffer for our beauty," Rachel said with a slight sarcastic pout and took a long sip of the pumpkin juice, groaning as the motion forced her hair back onto her face. "That's it!" she almost shouted and slammed her cup down noisily onto the table, eying the thick strands in front of her eyes as if they were the Evil Strands from Hell.

Jule then heard Laura behind her. "hehe. I am. I really do like him a lot. But we'll take things so. I wouldn't want things to go bad."

Satine looked around watching the other girls in her first year Ravvie class. She saw how boy crazy they seemed to be already. Wow, she thought, this is going to be a long year if we're already falling in love with boys after meeting them on the train. But each to his or her own I guess. Surely she wasn't jealous...no she couldn't be it was too early in the year. She realized how odd she must look just staring off into nowhere with a black face on. Back to reality, she thought..

"Well congrats on your new boyfriends girls!" She said with a smile and she really did mean it.

Natka looked up from her plate, hearing a voice inquire about timetables. She noticed the first-year who had spoken, and smiled as she replied.

"Probably not until later tonight or tomorrow. It get's hung up on the bourd in our Common Room, you won't miss it once it's there," Natka answered. "I'm Natka, by the way, a third year." she introduced herself.

"Wow some of the houses are already in the negatives....Way to go Ravvies!...how on earth could they already have negative points? That's crazy!" Satine looked around directing the question to anyone in ear's shot.

Looking at Jule, Laura noticed how happy she looked. She was practically glowing. "What's his name?" she whispered out of the corner of her mouth.
On hearing Satine, she too glanced around at the house point chart. Her jaw dropped. "Oh," she exclaimed, "I don't know! I'm glad we're not thought!" Laura smiled.

"Nice to meet you," Natka smiled at her. "Cheescake? It's delicious," she offered, having taken a piece for herself a few minutes earlier.

Laura looked like a very friendly girl, and much less nervous than some of the other first years Natka had seen around. Natka smiled at the girl's enthusiasm.

"Oh, your sister goes here? What year is she in?" she asked, wondering if she knew the girl.

"I love Hogwarts, it's wonderful! All the lessons are great, you know... but I like Charms and Transfiguration the most, I think. Although Herbology and Ancient Runes are really interesting as well... anyway, all the teachers have a unique style of teaching, you'll find out for yourself soon enough, I'm sure."

She grinned at Laura, liking the girl a lot already.

Aaron wanted to say hi to Satine after he finished eating. He walked over to her at the Ravenclaw table.

"Crazy, huh? It looks like Slytherin and Ravenclaw have an early lead. It's going to be a good competition." He smiled at her. "You made it to Ravenclaw! Nice! It stinks that we have to be in different houses, though. We won't be able to see each other as much as we would like."

Cayden had watched Mari walk over to her own table as she sat near elizabeth. He watched them as he had expected her to go to Mari as instead she went over to Robert. He felt bad for her because she had been ignored by her friend. At least so called friend. He headed down the same path she had gone a few minutes before this. He sat beside Mari as he gave her a small smile. He didn't want to talk, but he knew she would feel like a fool sitting their alone after that. He put his hand into his pocket as he pulled out a piece of red candy." want one?" he asked as he had one pulled out for himself.

Satine jumped up and hugged Aaron. She was sooooo excited to see him...

As she let go of him, she started talking 100 miles a hour...
"I was so excited that we all got into the houses we wanted, too! I think it'll be okay that we're in different houses, though, I mean a lot of our classes will hopefully still be together so maybe we could try to sit close to each other! Have you met any more first years? We have a ton mostly girls."

"She left, two years ago," Laura explained. "But she was in Ravenclaw too. She loved Transfiguration as well, and I'm really looking forward to it, and DADA. "

She thought for a moment, her brow frurred. "Is there anything I need to know?" she asked eventually. "I mean, any teachers I need to watch out for, that sort of thing?"

Laura turned to see Satine with another boy she didn't know. He had the robes of a Slytherin, and looked friendly. She smiled at them both.

"Yeah, that would be great! Me, Fallon, Iris, and Mystic have been mostly talking to each other. We tried to talk to this one girl, but she just ignored us." He laughed, "I wonder why!!!" he said sarcastically. "The sorting hat was creepy, huh? AND IT DID READ OUR MINDS! I WAS RIGHT!!!"
