Dani smiled and took the note. "Thank you Professor." She slid the folded note into her pocket and turned to go. She wondered who she should go to. Professor Bunbury had encouraged her to beat on a Hufflepuff with a wellie, but she didn't know Professor Shackleton. Hmm..

Victoria knew maybe she would be next, she hoped that she could start her art club. She sit on the seat swinging her legs because her legs wasn't long enough to touch the ground.

Satine walked up to Professor Vindictus' door and knocked confidently. She just wanted to check up on the progress of the Quidditch Spirit Club. She sat down and pulled Gemma, her chinchilla, out of her bag and put her in her lap to pet while she waited.

Great - he's never alone... Rachel looked down at her hands as she debated on what to do - on one hand, she could just ask him in front of all these people and hope that it really WAS something people usually did or on the other hand, she could thank Professor Vindictus for his kindness and FLEE the place as quickly as her legs could carry her.

Stay and hope for the best or leave and have this whole experience repeat itself? Since as much as she hated to admit it, the fifth year KNEW that she needed this advice and therefore she was sure that -after a very long time- she would eventually find herself back in this office, and be in the exact same situation? Although maybe next time she could make sure that Willow wasn't there, since she kind of liked the girl and didn't really want to be humiliated in front of her... Actually, she could just plan a time when NO ONE from Ravenclaw would be here and THEN she could ask for advice.

Rachel's eyes widened as listened to Willow as their Head of House for his full name and date of birth. Oh bugger! I thought I had finished all my homework - I can't believe I forgot Arithmancy! Swiftly, she reached into her bag and pulled out an old, slightly broken quill, a pot of ink and a small piece of parchment. Maximus Orion Vindictus... January 18, 2018... she scribbled quickly, then blew on it as she put her quill and ink back in the bag.

Finally realising the ink was dry, she folded the piece of parchment untidily and stuffed it nervously into her pocket, still unable to believe that she had FORGOTTEN about a piece of homework! It must have been those stupid Hufflepuff girls down by the lake... If I don't get an 'O' at the end of this term, I'm blaming them!!

Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she settled for leaning against the wall and waiting until the room wasn't as crowded. Sure, Professor Vindictus had said that he was NEVER alone, but maybe he had times when the office wasn't this full. Fidgeting with the hem of her shirt, she listened to the multiple conversations that Vindictus was having and widened her eyes to their maximum as she caught on to what Willow was asking Vindictus.

So it IS alright?! Asking for career advice - it's NORMAL?! YAY!! Rachel could hardly contain her relief as she listened to the Captain talk about her future with Professor Vindictus, unable to keep a smile off her face. Aww cool - Willow wants to be a journalist! The fifth year thought that the image fit the Ravenclaw Captain perfectly - that it, if one was prepared to overlook the fact that it would be a HUGE waste of potential in terms of Quidditch. But, Willow's a Ravenclaw and she's smart... Keeping her options open is always a smart thing to do.

She opened her mouth to ask for advice herself when Vindictus suddenly shouted at the first year and she abruptly shut it. He's not old? Yeah, he wasn't Kazimeriz's age, but he was older than the students. Plus, wouldn't it make sense for a first year to think he's old - after all, the first years are eleven and twelve years old... Not exactly the best judges of age.

After making sure that he was calm enough to speak without pouncing, Rachel quickly slipped into the seat Willow had just vacated. "Professor, I was wondering if maybe you could also offer me some career advice?" she asked, still slightly apprehensive even though she had just seen someone ask for advice too. But at least Willow knew what she liked... I have absolutely NO idea what I want to do with my life! She cracked a grin as Jake's voice suddenly filled her head - 'See? It's not always good to be perfect at everything!'

Victoria couldn't decide if she show the professor her drawings of the hogwarts crest or her drawings of a ravenclace eagle.

"Of course!" Vindictus happily exclaimed. At least Rachel isn't asking about relationship advice. "Are there any careers that interest you or subject matters that you're interested in?" It was the normal first round of questioning.

"Well sir that's the thing," Rachel began and looked down at her hands, "I have no idea what I want to do and almost all the Hogwarts subjects interest me on some level," she said, her shoulders slumped slightly. She couldn't help but think that if she had been able to answer those questions - if it had been that easy - then she wouldn't even be here.

"I know for a fact that anything with either Herbology or Divination is off the agenda - and also anything with Astronomy too, because it's my favourite subject and I want it to stay as a hobby," the fifth year added, wanting to get that piece of information out in the open as quickly as possible.

"Okaaayyy. Nothing to do with astronomy, divination, or herbology. Are you interested in a Ministry career or possibly pursuing a university degree?" Vindictus needed more than just plain old indecisiveness.

"If possible, I would like to continue studying and pursue a career in university - but the thing is, I don't know anything about Wizarding universities at all so I don't know the types of courses they offer or if it even makes sense, career-wise, to go to a university. In the muggle world, sir, things are very clear for me but here in the wizarding world, I have no clue," Rachel explained, blinking as she had finished. She really hadn't expected all of that to come out...

Vindictus nodded at what Rachel said and then turned his back to her as he pulled a few brochures from his filing cabinet. "Wizarding universities," he said as he handed them to her. "They're magicked so you'll have to tap each of the underlined titles to reveal more information. Inside each you'll find out everything you need to know from entrance requirements, cost, dormitories, degrees, and well, pretty much anything."

Taking the pamphlets in her hand, Rachel quickly skimmed through them as Professor Vindictus explained in the background what she could find in them. "Thank you Professor," she said and placed them all neatly in her bag, careful not to get them creased.

"And sir? I hope it's ok if I ask this," she began and took a slight breath before continuing. "What, judging by my record in classes, do YOU think I should go for?" the fifth year asked, looking down at her lap briefly again before raising her gaze to the older man before her. Please let him have a clue, PLEASE let him know... She couldn't decide it ALL by herself, and asking Jake was out of the question so she needed someone, anyone, to tell her what to do. She was good at that - she was good at following orders and doing what she was told, but at a Make Your Own Decision course she would FAIL. Big time.

Vindictus reached into a different file and pulled out Rachel's file. He was quiet for a few minutes as he read through her grade report and the comments that professors left regarding her strengths and weaknesses. Finally he broke the uneasy silence. "I honestly think you should pursue a career involving Charms and Transfiguration," he suggested and gave her two brochures that detailed careers in those areas. "Your record speaks for itself." And he smiled.

Rachel squirmed slightly in the silence that enveloped the room as her Professor read over her file. She found herself fidgeting nervously with her hands and wished fervently that she had decided to keep a hold of the pamphlets for the colleges. They would have given her something to do - and now she was forced to wait in the silence for Professor Vindictus to speak.

"Charms and Transfiguration?" she repeated, slightly surprised. Those two subjects? Nodding to show she understood, she smiled back and decided to call it a night - she had much to read about anyway and she didn't want to take up any more of his time anyway. "Thank you Professor - really, thank you," she said as she got up and slung her bag over her shoulder, speaking in a really grateful tone. Turning towards the door, she swiveled to give him one last thanking look before exiting the room and making straight for the castle... Now was the time to do some serious mulling.

Now that Rachel was gone and the other two Ravenclaws were sitting silently, Vindictus happened to catch the time. "Ladies, perhaps you can come back in a few hours. I have an appointment that is unfortunately of a private manner," he said and held the door open for them.

Satine looked up and saw the Professor's expression and knew that his meeting was of the upmost importance, She smiled and said, "O Professor that's fine what I was here to talk to you about wasn't that important in the whole scheme of things I'll stop by once everything calms down. I hope you have a great day. Please let me know if you need anything." She smiled once again and turned and walked out of the Professor's Office.

Was she early? Perhaps.

This was Professor Vindictus one was meeting was with, though, and arriving in a timely fashion was more than just a necessity. Clearing her throat, Anna smoothed down her already-smooth skirt and paused just outside the office door. Weren't there others supposedly attending, as well? If there were, were they already inside? There was only one way to find out, and it wasn't just simply standing around outside the door waiting on someone to point her in the right direction.

The door was open, though, and if Anna heard correctly, then a few other students were being escorted out. To be polite, she waited off to the side until the comings and going were over.

Chris Potter walked up to the door of the Flying Professor's office for the punishment he was to recieve. He was not looking forward to it. He saw Vindictus standing there and walked up to him, ready for whatever was about to happen.

She was dreading going to this, but she had to. The only thing that was keeping her from getting a handful of puking pasties and eating all of them was Chris.

She saw Chris and she tried to hide her smile in case Vindictus took it the wrong way. She walked up and stood next to him to see what they were going to be put through.

"Anna! Please come in," Vindictus greeted the Head Girl and then he saw the two. "Chris and Paris. So prompt. Come in and have a seat on the wooden chairs." The two wooden chairs he was referring to were stools that were placed in the center of his lavish office.

"Yes sir." Chris said coming into the office and taking one of the seats he was reffering to. He wondered what Anna was doing here.

Clifford wasn't entirely sure why he was meant to be here, still he decided it was probably best to show his face. Professor Vindictus had invited him afterall and he was THE MAN! Slight confusion masking his features, the seventh year peeked his head round the office door. There was Paris.. Chris.. Anna and the man himself. Was he late? Oops.

She looked at Chris and gave him a small smile before stepping into his office. She glanced at Anna too. Was she going to watch their punishment? Oh that was just great.

She was wearing a green jumper that was too big for her. She didn't want to get anything she cared about dirty. She eyed the stools he told them to sit on. They looked like elf chairs they were so tiny, well at least she would fit without her legs dangling.

She sat down and looked at Vindictus to see what he was going to make them do.

Clark knocked on the door urgently. Many people were entering which meant there was a probable crisis. Oh well, this was much more important. If Jake wouldn't eat because he 'wasn't hungry', he could start splattering sick all over Dani.

Knock. Knock knock knock knock.

"Clifford! Glad that you could make it. Please come in," Vindictus smiled, "and have a seat on one of the couches."

Vindictus was standing in the doorway and stared in disbelief at the boy knocking on his open door. "Sorry lad, but you'll need to come back later," he said sternly and glanced back at those who had arrived for the arranged meeting.

In lieu of a verbal answer, Anna flashed her flying instructor a smile, then made her way into the office. She paid the two wooden stools a second long glance each, then made her way to a rather soft looking armchair near the professor's desk. "A pleasure," she simply said, glancing over at the man behind by the desk, but otherwise remaining quiet. She did, however, smile politely at both Chris and Paris. Merlin only knew what they were in for.
