William smiled sadly back at her, not quite sure what to say except "I know you do Professor. That's what makes you an awesome CoMC professor." he replied. No he was NOT sucking up to her no not at all he was simply telling the truth.

Before William could even think of another thing to say she had flung herself at him hugging him tightly. He froze not quite knowing what to do but hugged her back awkwardly before she pulled away blushing fiercely, which only made him blush. He couldn't help but to chuckle though and waved it off. "Tis okay Professor. And I'm glad to help." He added beaming.

"You remind me a lot of my cousin, not sure if she was in your class or not but she loves creatures just as much as you do." He said suddenly before the words even registered in his mind. What he had meant to say was he had a nice visit and would be leaving but since he was a bit flustered by the hug his mind had taken a vacation.

"Very well, I will keep that in mind." He had been polite enough to say that he may have very well been disrespectful... that made her happy. She hated when students denied everything, making her feel like she had been an idiot to feel the way she felt. If that made sense... it did to her. "I feel better now... Thank you, Master Tipps. How many lumps?" She asked seamlessly and motioning to the sugar bowl. "I'd offer you cake or some kind of biscuit... but... as you saw," she turned and looked at where Beazley disapparated, "Our house elves are indisposed..."

Argyle wakes up and sees Mistress Lupa has joined the party. Argyle immediately gets up and makes her bed. Argyle then looks for Breezley. Argyle is sure Breezley was here when Argyle went to sleep. That was strange. Argyle never sleeps during the day when there is work to be done. Argyle walks over to Mistress Morgan's desk. Argyle tugs at Mistress Morgan's robes. "Mistress Morgan, Argyle needs work to do. Does Mistress Morgan or Mistress Lupa have anything Argyle can do for them?" Argyle looks around for something to do.

Abby smiles. "That's wonderful. I'm sure Marmalade would love to show her stuff to the class." Abby looks over and sees Professor Truebridge's dog is still eating. She sure hopes Professor Morgan comes up with a name soon. The poor dog needs a proper name.

Varius smiled at the elves, they had been particularly helpful to him this term and he raised his hand, giving Argyle a small wave - the elf he'd always had a soft spot for. He then turned his attention to Professor Lupa, smiling pleasantly as she admitted she was feeling better about the whole thing. "Two, please. And don't worry about the cake - gots to watch my figure and all that," he winked, joking.

Hearing her name she turned to the elf. "Yes, the headmaster instructed that the house elves take space in one of the open sections of the library. Talk to Madame Kohan, she can help you find a spot, and once you start cooking again, please deliver my goodies here, and not to the fifth floor... thank you..." She said and nodded.

She dropped two lumps in his espresso. "Here you are." She said handing him the little cup. "Your figure... really..." she said smirking... Even if he was serious, the boy didn't need to be on a diet... none of the kids did... they were children and needed to grow. "I myself, have a high metabolism." Part of being what she was. "Tell me Master Tipps, what is your favorite subject at Hogwarts?"

"My mum claims," he started, accepting his coffee and taking a small sip. "That people with a high metabolism can eat twice their own body weight in a day and not put anything on! Which I think is incredibly amazing and considerate for our bodies to do. Afterall, no one asked them to work extra hard to keep us at our 'happy weight'. But they care about us that much, y'know?"

However, Professor Lupa's next question had stunned him for a moment because he had no idea what his favourite subject was. He had never thought about it before. "Erm... I think I like Herbology because I got to play with shoes last lesson, although I did lose five points for biting Professor Bunbury... by accident of course," he made sure to add on quickly, not wanting to concern Lupa with any cannibalistic qualities she probably now assumed he had. "But I like potions cause it's like baking... and DADA is fun too - I got to be a married grindylow. I really can't choose! What was your favourite subject when you were at school... apart from Ancient Runes."

She blinked as he spoke about the body being considerate... oooook...

When he mentioned biting the bunny woman, she laughed. She wanted to tell him to be careful, that thing had rabies... but she couldn't. It would be wrong. And she promised Ili she'd give her a chance. "A married Grindylow?" She asked perplexed... "Potions, but tell me about the married grindylow." She asked as she sipped her espresso.

Argyle cannot believe Argyle's ears. Mistress Lupa said Argyle will have a new kitchen in the library. Not as nice as Argyle's lovely kitchen down below, but better than no kitchen. Argyle jumps out of her bed and runs at Mistress Lupa. Argyle starts kissing the hem of Mistress Lupa's robe. "Thank you, Mistress Lupa, thank you. Argyle will make your favorite chocolate cake as soon as Argyle finds Argyle's new kitchen."

"Yes ma'am," he said taking another sip of coffee. "You see, in DADA, we were studying water demons and Professor Lawson wanted us to tie each other together then try and realease ourselves from the binding. Well, at first I pretended to be a Grindylow and jumped on Plymouth's back binding his arms to his side... but then, of course, that wasn't manly AT ALL. So, we got rope and tied each other together and Plymouth said 'we just tied the knot' - you know how he's silly like that.

"...Oh, then we got a divorce. Very information packed lesson I am sure you will agree."

Oh no! Elf slobber! "Arg- Argyle stop... please... my robes... Argyle!" She pulled away her robes. Icky creature slobber!!! She tergeo'd the hem of her robes and said "Thank you for the cake... just... go get set up please..." SHEESH!!! She turned her attention back to the student.

Alessia smirked, "I do... and yes, I'm aware of how silly Master Morgan is... and I know how important being Manly is to the students... well... the boys anyway... It seems you had fun in DADA. Professor Lawson is a very imaginative professor." She took another sip of her coffee... "And professor Bunbury? you... bit her? How was that an accident?" She asked.

Argyle backs away from Mistress Lupa. "Thank you Mistress Morgan and Mistress Lupa. Argyle is all better and has a new place to work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!" Argyle bows to Mistress Lupa and Mistress Morgan. Argyle then snaps her fingers and disappears.

Naomi ran all the way across the grounds and to Professor Morgan's hut. Out of breath, Naomi knocked on the door and began to speak, "Professor.... Morgan... Great Hall....water..." Naomi gasped for breath and had to stop because she could not breath.

"Well you see," Varius started, straightening himself up in his 'story-telling' manner. "Everyone was jumping on lilypads or something and I ... er... borrowed some shoes to be all manly with... anyway! So this parchment, right? Comes flying into my hand - the Aparecium gossip thing. Well, it was saying that Lawson and Bunbury got it on in the greenhouses and clearly Bunbury knew what was on it and made her way over to confiscate it from me."

He took a breath and finished his coffee before continuing, "However, some Ravenclaw nutter beat her to it and she attacked me! Started hitting me with a wellie boot! Apparently she was one of the people whose shoes I borrowed. In the midst of my being attacked Bunbury was trying to remove the parchment from my hands I guess... buttttt, I mistook her from the Ravie loon and bit down. Hard. Lost myself five points, but no detention - so that's quite good."

Just then a rather determined knock came on the Professors' Hut door before someone shouting in that water was in the Great Hall. "Not to be rude Professor, but do the staff know what they're doing? I mean... these floods. They aren't being controlled easily, I take it? I think an evacuation might be needed soon." He nodded in agreement with himself, "Yes. That seems most appropriate... despite, its unfortunate-ness."

She giggled at the story as she finished her coffee and put down her cup... wishing she'd been there to see the rabid bunnywoman being bitten. But they were interrupted.

She was about to address Naomi when Various spoke again. Not to be rude... when anyone started their sentence with 'Not to be rude,' you could bet a rude comment was going to follow it. "Yes, we, the staff, know what we are doing. We are trying to give you students a good education under these horrid conditions, and as soon as we figure out the culprit, rest assured he, or she, will be dismissed from the school." She stood to go to the girl and then turned to the boy with a smile. "If you feel we are not doing our jobs, you are always free to Owl your parents, Master Tipps. You are not obligated to stay at Hogwarts." Truth was, yes... it was probably time to close the school... but it was Pepe's call.

She turned to her friend and said "Come on Iliana..." and then turned the people in the room and said "Everyone out. Professor Morgan and I need to attend to the water problem. Thank you Miss Cambridge, we'll take it from here."

"Oh, I know I can owl my Mum," he said as if it were the kindest words ever uttered to him. "And," he put his hand on Professor Lupa's shoulder, "For what it's worth, I think you are doing a great job, and you all are trying - but there are still floods and I can't deny I am a little worried, is all."

With that he left after the Professors, out of the hut and away to... well, somewhere I feel like placing lil ole' Varius. Peace out!

"Ok Professor." Naomi said finally catching her breath and following Professor Morgan out of the door.

Having clutched the blanket tightly around him, Jake stood in front of the door to the office. He knew he was supposed to go straight in with Vannie, but there was still that part of him that didn't want to enter.

"Erm," he shivered, looking round uncertainly at the Hufflepuff prefect.

Vanessa was quite happy to have the blanket wrapped around her as she walked towards office, for it was still really chilly outside. She hoped that Professor Morgan wasn't getting too cold, she'd have to offer the teacher her blanket when she got back.

"It's okay Jake....we can go in." Vanessa nodded, although it did feel a little weird to be going into a teacher's office without the teacher being there. Frowning a little she opened the the door to the office, and motioned for Jake to go in. Professor Morgan would be along soon right?

Stepping furtively into the room, Jake sneezed and raised one of his hands to put some pressure on his sore head. He let out one small gasping sob, before moving over to Professor Morgan's chair behind her desk and throwing himself into it.

He liked this chair.

After shutting the door, Vanessa turned to watch Jake. She frowned again. Was he okay? She sighed, then remembering the other blanket which Professor Morgan had told her about. Moving towards the Cedar Chest she oped it, pulling out the banket, before approaching where Jake was sat behind Professor Morgan's Desk. She'd left her blanket on the floor a few metres away from the door.

"Here Jake...It'll make you warmer." She spoke quietly, holding the blanket out to him.

"Thank you," Jake replied just as quietly, wrapping the second blanket around himself as he drew up his knees and hugged them, staring at the photos of the family Professor Morgan had explained to him about, letting a small yawn escape his lips as he rested his head against the back of the chair, eyes trying to combat the evils of sleeeeeeeeep...

... and failing miserably.

Vanessa smiled as she watched Jake wrap the second blanket around himself. She felt really tempted to give him a hug, but she wasn't so sure if he'd appreciate it, especially considering that they really didn't know each other properly.
"Jake....go to sleep if your tired." Vannie spoke quietly, stroking his head randomly. "I'll wake you up when Professor Morgan gets here."

Not even trying to stifle the yawn this time, Jake nodded and leaned his head back, grateful that Vannie had told him he could before Jake had to ask. Eyelids drooping lazily, jerking open at every small sound. Jumpy? Yes, very much so. "Thank you," he whispered again, letting himself yawn one last time before he succumbed to the temptations of sleeeeep.

"It's fine." Vanessa smiled as she watched him fall asleep, hoping that after his little nap that he'd feel better. She stroked his head once more, ruffling his hair as she did so, before moving away from him, so that she wouldn't disturb him while he slept. She stayed close though, just incase he woke up. She was regretting leaving her blanket by the door now, for even in the warm office she was still cold.
