Mmm, he could do with some chocolate, now. |
"Well you're doing a great job in my class already so I don't think you'll have to worry too much about that one. So let's group up Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions. Study for those on Mondays and Wednesdays," She said, thinking it would be easiest to tackle the hardest subjects first. Better to get them out of the way. "Next... for Tuesday and Thursday... how about Charms and Transfiguration. That will leave you out on the grounds on Friday for Herbology and Magical Creatures." She'd have plenty of time to see her friends on the weekends if she just kept to a schedule. |
Vanessa blushed at Professor Morgan's words. Ahh. How she hated things that made her blush. "I like your classes." Vanessa smiled. They were fun tehee. "Oooh....that sounds really good!" Oh why hadn't she came to Professor Morgan earlier, then she wouldn't have been in any of this bother. Oh yes. She had been silly. "Thank you so much." Vanessa smiled. Soon enough she was pretty much going to owe her entire life to this wonderful woman in front of her. |
The voices had penetrated his dozing dreams like a beehive at the back of his brain. Scowling, Jake covered his face and ears with the softer blanket and turned to face the chair, forgetting where he was and trying to just sleep. Really? After all of today, they were now WAKING HIM UP?! Fail. |
Vannie was always so appreciative. Iliana was really going to miss her next term. "You're so welcome, Vanessa," She said sincerely. "And if things get to be too much, just come see me." She smiled at her and then saw some movement from the corner of her eye. "Ahh, looks like someone's waking up." |
Vanessa smiled at Professor Morgan. It was going to be wierd next year, only really being able to talk like this via owls. It just wouldn't be fair. She didn't graduate. "Ooh..." Vanessa turned her head to watch Jake. "I wonder if he's feeling better." She commented quietly, hoping that he was. |
"I am, like, right here you know," came a muffled voice from beneath the blankets, only sounding kind of half-heartedly annoyed. He tugged the blanket down and peered around, pinked hair all mussed up and sticking up in all directions, which looked quite strange considering his hair wasn't cropped... though it wasn't long. BUT ENOUGH ABOUT VANITY! "What time is it?" he asked, peering at the females, a tad bleary eyed. Blinking between the two females, Jake yawned a little, ruffling up his hair some more with both hands, going all pineapple head. |
"Hey there sunshine!" Professor Morgan exclaimed, standing up with the puppy. She walked over to her desk to check on him. "Umm, I don't know Jake," she said, glancing out the window. The sun was almost done so she figured it was getting late. "How are you feeling?" |
Vanessa smiled in Jakes direction. Oh everyone she knew was so cute! She stood still for a few moments as Professor Morgan walked over to him, but then she couldn't help herself, and followed the older woman. "Are you feeling warmer now Jake?" Vanessa asked quietly, giving him a smile. She hoped that he'd had a nice sleep. |
"Feeling?" Jake asked, having that morning feeling you always get when you wake up... in the morning, where nothing makes any sense for a while. "Erm, I'm... okay..." he mumbled, scrunching up his nose and sneezing before looking up at the puppy and smiling dopily up at him. "Yeah... I'm warm... and dry... what the-?" When did he get dry? That was odd. |
The moment he'd left Professor Lupa's make-shift classroom, a strong wave of sadness had swept over him. Really, how could feelings... SWITCH that fast? It was enough to make him feel dizzy. Sighing, the Head Boy traipsed across the grounds towards Professor Morgan's hut. This was where Professor Lupa was situated now, right? He secretly hoped not. Then maybe he wouldn't have to talk to her... was he in trouble or something? Gulping, the seventh year knocked timidly on the door. |
"Prefect Carden..." She said from behind him... "Please accompany me on a walk of the grounds?" She asked as she banished her wet books to her room in the hut. |
ACK! Clifford almost jumped right out his skin when Professor Lupa popped up from behind him. He'd been considering just sneaking away ... but yeah.. that was out of the question now clearly. "Uh.. sure.." the seventh year mumbled with a shrug of his shoulders. He had a feeling she wasn't going to take no for an answer. |
Copernicus had to see Professor Lupa. She'd SAID so... and here he was. Um. Yes. Cope knocked gently on the door to the hut and decided that IF she didn't answer, he was leaving. At least he'd shown up, which was the important part. |
Alessia opened the door and smiled. "Master Kettleburn, I trust you are well... come in, come in." |
"Yes, professor?" Copernicus entered the hut, but he stayed around the doorway. "You wanted to see me?" |
"Well, of course I wanted to see you. I wouldn't have asked you to come see me if I didn't want you to come see me silly." She said smiling, and she sat by a plate of cookies. "Well? Are you going to stay in the doorway or join me for a few cookies?" |
"I think... I'll come in," Copernicus agreed, stepping further into the hut and taking a seat. "But WHY did you want to see me, Professor? Is it about university?" |
"Indeed it is..." she said sort of frowning. "Is there something wrong Copernicus?" She asked using his first name. "Something bothering you?" Not this one too! The Carden boy was easy to cheer up... Kettleburn may be harder to cheer. |
"No, Professor. Just.... it seems like some professors don't like each other, and they end up using students as tools in this dislike? And... it makes me nervous that people want to help me to prove that they're the better person. I appreciate your help so much, and I'd hate for you to put yourself out." He stared at his hands. |
She cocked her head to one side and smiled. "You think I don't get along with someone? I can assure you, I am not using you." She said a bit hurt. She summoned two packets of information. One from each school. "Here you go." She said handing them to him, "The application have a rush code on them. Basically, it guarantees you to be seen right away." She said and nodded. "You may go now." She said and went back to her cookies. |
"No, Professor! I'm not referring to you. I'm just saying..." He made a face. How stupid of him to say something like that to her? Of course she wasn't using him to make someone else unhappy. Just... the whole spying thing for Kazimeriz. |
"Sit then..." She said motioning to the other seat. "Join me for cookies, and we'll talk." |
Copernicus sat again, reaching for a cookie. "Yes, Professor. Thank you, Professor." |
"Yes, Professor. Thank you, Professor" she said imitating a deeper, more frightened voice before smiling at him with a chuckle, "Copernicus. You are acting as if you are in detention... which is very upsetting to me. I'm offering you cookies, I wanted to talk to you about these universities. Do you think I'm going to turn into a giant basilisk and bite your head off?" She summoned her coffee pot, "Coffee? Or would you prefer tea?" Ily had some tea somewhere... |
