Professor Morgan walked into her office, shaking off her cloak. Right away she spotted Jake, fast asleep in her chair. Careful not to make a sound, she hung it by the door and sat down on the window seat. She could do with some sleep herself. The day had been exhausting. "The sun's finally out," she whispered, smiling over at Vanessa. "How long's he been sleeping?" |

"Only a few minutes....I told him I'd wake him up when you got back." She spoke quietly, glancing back at him for a moment. "But I think it might be wise to let him sleep a little longer" |
Stretching her hands above her head, her fingertips brushed the soft, gossamer curtain that hung there. "Yes, we'll let him sleep," she said as she lowered her arms. "Though... is he warm enough?" She wondered aloud. Silently, she pulled out her wand and pointed it at the sleeping Hufflepuff. Once his clothes were dry, she tiptoed over to pick up the puppy. "There. Now he can rest comfortably," she said, walking back and cuddling the puppy in her arms. "Thanks for all your help today, Vanessa." |
Though he didn't know what had happened, in his sleep Jake felt a change which made him alot more comfortable as he lay there. As he burrowed into the blankets, the tip of Jake's thumb found its way to his mouth and he found himself in the rather childish act of sucking his thumb. Or he would have... had he been awake. But this was something he only reverted to when he was deeply sleeping. |

"Oh. It was nothing." Vanessa smiled, turning back to face Professor Morgan, and that adorable puppy! "Aww." She grinned, oh dear. She wanted a puppy now. Oh Poor Miles. She sighed at the thought of him. "Are you warmer now Professor?" She asked quickly, trying not to think about Miles. It wasn't that she didn't want to, just it would make her miss him more. Stupid studying time table, making her miss Miles. |
"I see that," she said, looking over at Jake. He was so adorable when he slept. It almost made her forget why she was so angry with him. (ALMOST ) Catching Vanessa's eyes on the puppy, Professor Morgan squeezed it a little closer to her. She really needed to return him. Or at least take him for a nice long walk. She was sure he'd miss him Daddy though if she didn't stop putting it off. "I feel fantastic, thank you," she said. Noticing the distant look on Vanessa's face, Iliana frowned. "Are you okay?" |
Oh dear. Professor Morgan had noticed her momentary lapse of thought. How was she meant to answer that? She would sound a little silly if she said that she missed her boyfriend, who was here at Hogwarts with her. "Meh...I'm fine....kind of." She sighed, running her fingers through her hair. Well it was only slightly bending the truth. But she didn't want to burden Professor Morgan with that, not after what had happened last term. She would be fine though. She hoped. |
Something was wrong... Iliana wasn't blind. And she knew Vanessa well enough to know the difference. Frowning again, she sighed. She didn't want to push the issue. She'd learned her lesson about that dealing with Jake. Though maybe... just maybe girls were different. Especially 7th-year-Prefect-girls. "If you're sure Vanessa," she said. Raising her wand again, she summoned two overly-large mugs of cocoa. Quietly she sipped the warm liquid, watching Vannie over the top of her mug. If they had time for hot chocolate, surely they had time for a chat. |
Ooh. Hot chocolate. Vannie smiled at Professor Morgan, as she sipped at the lovely drink. it alone was making her feel a little better, and she knew that it would probably help if she talked about it to Professor Morgan. It had helped that last time. "Actually." Vanessa spoke quietly, as she stopped sipping the hot chocolate, and looked at Professor Morgan. "Can we talk about it?" She smiled, a little. It would help, and maybe Professor Morgan would be able to help her sort out her studying, so that she'd be able to see Miles, and her other friends more. |
Laying the puppy on her lap, Professor Morgan ran her hand along his furry back and quietly sipped her cocoa. "We can talk about anything," she replied. And she meant just that. |
Mmm, what a pretty, pretty hut! Fyo could have SQUEALED, he liked the place so much. Trust Professor Morgan to have a place so awesome. Because she was.. nice. Not that he knew her personally, it was just the impression he had from her classes. Her classes and what other students said of her. Reaching the front of the PWETYY!hut, the third year came to a halt, taking a moment to look around and absorb something of his surroundings. There was a wind in the air, and Fyo liked it. A lot. Brushing hair off his forehead, the Gryffindor finally raised his hand to knock twice. |
Well actually... Vanessa would have to hold that thought. Hearing a knock at the door, Professor Morgan picked the puppy back up and set her mug on the coffee table. Then she walked over to her door, pulled it open and smiled down at her visitor. "Hello Fyo, won't you come in," she said, stepping out of the way so he could enter. |
Through his cloudy dreamworld, Jakers heard noises. Noises from the hut, noises that didn't belong in his dreams of talking to a bright pink cat with certain classmates of his hanging around in the background. Eyes lazily fluttering open, Jake turned around to see Vannie, Professor Morgan, and another boy. Trying not to make a sound, Jake shifted around a little, all the better to see what was happening. |

It was then that he realized there were other people around. Umm, looks like he had just crashed a partaayy. Or at least interrupted what looked like the beginnings of a snug talk. "Sorry," he half-mumbled. "Guess I disturbed you. I -- just wanted to ask if I could keep Shelsha in the Creatures Sanctuary. She's my kneazle, you know," he added, still sort of hesitantly. |
She smiled, taking a quick survey of the room. He was right; it was awesome in here. She was truly blessed to be provided with such nice quarters. "Thank you Fyo, I agree," she said. "And you're not disturbing me at all," she added, giving him a warm smile. If he thought this was busy... well, it was obvious that this was his first visit. Her office was usually bursting at the seams with people. "That would be lovely. I'm sure Shelsha will love the sanctuary," she replied after hearing Fyo's request. "There are still some empty cages along the west wall." |

Still, he had a feeling Vannie [wait - wasn't she the one Tor had a crush on?] might like to have their Care of Magical Creatures professor all to herself. It was a woman-woman thing, you know? [Just like his little sis, Nova, always, always, ALWAYS wanted their mother all to herself.] "Thank you," Fyo said, speaking up again when Professor Morgan mentioned the west wall. "I'll be.... going then." Oh goodess! He was crawling back into what he called his shy!shell, the one he'd thought he had finally managed to put behind, this term. |

As Professor Morgan went to answer the door, and some other boy came in, Vannie glanced at Jake. Oh he'd waken up. Well that would put a stop to her little talk with Professor Morgan |

"I need help with things..." She spoke quietly, looking down at her hands which were still holding the cup. She hoped that Professor Morgan would understand. |
Erm... she was being vague. Vannie was hardly ever vague. This could only mean one of two things. Either this was an embarrassing subject... or a sad one. She prayed for it to be the former. She was in just too good of a mood lately to feel sad. "Help with what, hun?" she asked, waiting for her to elaborate. |
"I can't balance anything." Vanessa sighed, removing one hand from the cup and rubbing her eyes. "I'm trying to keep on top of all my work....and all the extra studying Im doing." Vannie cut of again, frowning. This all sounded so silly to her. "I spend hardly any time with any of my friends..." And that's what she was missing really. She looked up at Professor Morgan and smiled weakley. "I dont know what to do." |
Concern took over Professor Morgan's features as she listened to Vanessa speak. The poor girl sounded so completely overwhelmed. "First of all Vannie, take a deep breath," she said, taking one herself. "Seventh year is hard. That much I remember. You just need to take things one at a time. We can fine tune your time management skills if you'd like. That's bound to help free up some time to spend with friends." |
Vanessa sighed quietly, taking another sip of the hot drink, she was feeling a little better after just telling Professor Morgan about this. She had to smile at what she said, and she knew she could trust what the teacher was saying. "I think that might be good." Vanessa nodded, physically looking better now. "I just want to make sure i get the grades to get on that healer course." That was it really. That was what was making her do this. |
"Vanessa, you're one of the top point earners in Hufflepuff. I'm sure you're grades are fine." She stroked the puppy head again, gently rubbing his soft ears between her fingers absentmindedly. (she liked puppy ears) "Now what classes are you taking? I think we should devise a system for you that will get you organized and prepared for your NEWTs all at the same time." |
"That is quite true." And she had been in the top earners last term too, so she must be doing some what okay then? But what if she messed up her exams? That would worry her. "Erm I'm taking...Care of Magical Creatures..." Not that she needed it for healing but it was one of her favourites. "Charms, Potions, Herbology, Transfiguration and Defence Against the Dark Arts." Vanessa added, her eyes widening a lot. That was quite a lot, especially when mixed with the other studying and reading she was done. |
