Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Jane shook Christian's shoulders a little.

"Please, stop!! Stop.. Stop screaming,"Jane told Christian.

"Endure it. Fight it back, please,"Jane pleaded. Jane was getting worried at his progress. He doesn't seem to be concentrating enough. It was as if those memories weren't the happiest things in his life. She let out a tear at that thought. She tried to think of something else to fight that pain in his head. She thought, if happy memories won't work, perhaps terrible ones would. Since negatives and negatives repel each other.

"Think. Of the worst thing that's ever happened. To you,"she made up her mind to tell him, even though she knew they might hurt him. But she thought he could at least try.

Christian thought of all the bad things in his life. The beatings at the hands of his adopted father, the curses at Drumstrang, but the worst memory of all were the tears in jade's eyes on the day he'd broken up with her! He finally breathed as the screaming and the pounding in his head stopped. He reached out touching Jane's face but seeing Jade's He made a motion of wipingher tears away with his thumb.

"Are you alright?"Jane asked as he stopped screaming and touched her face. She couldn't really figure out why he was wiping her face, as if there was an invisible tear. She couldn't feel any tear at all! She figured she didn't want to know what he thought, even if she could. It was probably something really terrible. Something that might even haunt her. Jane was absolutely right!(But she didn't know that)

Jane saw Christian in that thinking pose. She knew he was alright. She helped him up on the chair and poured more water for him. She wanted to ask him how he did it. But she was unsure if she wanted to hear what he thought. She looked at Professor Dumont and Professor Lawson. They looked like they needed a really important chat. Jane stood up.

"Professor, I think...I think that's...quite enough,"Jane tried to say that she thought Christian should probably go home and rest after that exhausting exercise. She decided she was going to ask him about that question she was thinking of when they left the room.

Antonio breathed a sigh of relief as Jane and Christian left the room. His office was hardly the place to be playing out this kind of thing, there were other students and other professors who had business here and there were other places where this problem could be worked on, such as outside the school. It was good to finally have his office to himself for a change. He turned to Professor Lawson and said, "You were saying?"

Helena didn't know exactly why this was the person she most trusted to go to, but she would have felt very uncomfortable going to any other teacher. She liked Muggle Studies and had always enjoyed Professor Dumont's lessons, so it only made sense to here that he wouldn't mind. She knocked softly on his door twice.

Antonio heard someone knocking on his door and went to answer it. He saw a Slytherin girl there who he recognized from his class but for some reason couldn't quite recall her name. "Hello," he said, beckoning the girl inside. "Helen, isn't it?"

Helena smiled and graciously stepped inside the brightly lit room. Helena, actually, Professor. Thank you. She had never been in any teacher's office since her third year, and it wasn't a particularly fond memory at first. I'm sorry to bother you, Professor, but today in Arithmancy we got a homework assignment to calculate the four core numbers of a staff member so.... I was wondering if I could ask you a few things? It was odd for her to be this nervous around a teacher, but Carracio had been the only teacher she had ever talked to outside of class, and since he was gone, she had to open up somewhat.

Antonio smiled. This was a request he had never received before. "Oh yes, Helena, I'm so sorry. I remember now. And of course, I would be more than happy to help you with that. What is it that you need from me?" Arithmancy, that had been one of the more interesting subjects at Hogwarts. He remembered now. If he could help anyone out with that, he was more than willing to!

Helena mentally sighed with relief, showing no sign of it on her pale features. Her smile remained. It's no problem, Professor. She opened up her school bag and pulled out the nearly flat piece of parchment that had their assignment on it and reread it for a moment. A moment later, her blue eyes had swiveled back to Professor Dumont as she said, I think all I need is your full name and birth date. Ooh. That could get a little awkward - Helena knew some people could be touchy about people knowing their age. Sir, she added quickly without thinking.

Antonio laughed. "Sure, that's no problem at all. I'm happy to help with that. My full name is Antonio Dumont, no middle name, and my date of birth is July 19 1931. Is that all you need from me?"

Helena felt slightly less awkward as Professor Dumont as he laughed. She wrote down what he said, mentally noting the three day difference from her mom's birthday, but she didn't let the thought upset her. She merely glanced over her work, smiled and said, Yes, I think that's it. Thank you so much, Professor.

Helena smiled once more at him and showed herself to the door. After opening it, however, she looked back and said, Thank you - for all your help, too. Have a nice evening, Professor. And with that she exited out into the hallway, shutting the door crisply behind her.

Sarah decided that she would go and see Professor Dumont, she loved talking to him and liked to learn a lot about Muggle, she was interesting in most of the things they did and she just loved here stories about them, she knocked on the door and waited for the Professor, that was if he was in.

Antonio heard a knock on the door and went to answer it. He hadn't had a visitor in a while and he wondered who it could be. Opening the door, he saw a familiar face. "Sarah! Why don't you come on in?" He held the door further open.

Sarah saw the Professor and smiled. "Hello Professor, How have you been?" She asked looking at him and hoping he was good. She walked into his office and stood near to the wall. "Professor what is your favorate muggle activity?" She asked. "I would love to have a go in an f1 car or a game of tennis or I would realy like to go to the gym just to see what it feels like." She smiled at him.

"That's an interesting question," Antonio said. "And your answers are all excellent, as those are all really good activities. I've been to the gym and played tennis, and I've enjoyed both those things. I've never driven an F1 car before, but that would have to be really exciting. I also would enjoy something as simple as a game of bowling or perhaps a soccer match, which is as much fun to the muggles as playing quidditch and just as big of a sport worldwide," he said.

"Professor I think I would love to play soccer like you say it's a big sport, though there a lot of money paid to all the star and some of the transfers are for a lot of money." laughed Sarah. "I think Test cricket might be boring since you don't do much and it lasts for 5 days, the Ashes are a big thing of course." She smiled. "Okay Professor what century is your favorate and why?" She was realy interested in muggle years. "I would have to say that Ancient Egypt because of the gods they worship and the things they build where just so good for the time that they lived in or the roman period because they just seemed to be able to do anything."

But I think I'd like to be around during the time of William Shakespeare, so many things were happening then, and it would have been exciting to perhaps meet the great Bard. There were many famous writers, composers and artists who are remembered nowadays who lived during that era, come to think of it."

Sarah smiled. "Yeah there was a lot of people who were famous in them day and are remembered now I would have loved to have gone to the Globe theatre and seen William Shakespeare perform live." She smiled as she sat down on a chair and smiled at the Professor. "Though, I would have loved to have seen the Mona Lisa painted, there are a lot of things that I would have loved to seen happen." She looked around the room to see what was in the room. "Have you ever played on one of the computer games, PS2 or Wii?" She loved playing them and wondered if the Professor felt the same way. She heard the Professor say something about baseball. "That's like rounders isn't it?"
