Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Most witches and wizards prefer to use magical methods only and look with scorn on the muggles. It's a shame, because they really are a lot more ingenious than people give them credit for."

Sarah smiled as she looked up from what she was doing, she had been quiet for ages and she wondered if the Professor had forgotten she was in the room, she put her hand to her chin whilest she tried to think of what was missing in what she was doing, suddenly it came to her and she quickly did it. She got up and handed the piece of parchment to the professor. "One picture of your room and you." She smiled, she loved drawing and she had decided the Professor might like a picture of him in the room. "What do you think?" she asked.

As it is I'm not the person she believes me to be. She's working with Edward Sawyer, Ruby's father on a plan that could prove to be detrimental to a few. I assume Ruby told you that her cousin is in LA. That's true yet Ruby doesn't know even half of what is going on. She doesn't know about the past so therefore she cannot know what is really happening now. The psychiatrist that Sakura is meant to be seeing will do her no good. They intend to try to brainwash her back to their side, back to her parents. They want me to work on Ruby, to assess her behaviour and see how she is acting and if she would be willing to follow them. It was almost as if he knew what Reid was going to say before he said it. He didn't want his family involved and yet, he knew that they would want to be, especially Bethany. In fact, as he thought of it, there was even a chance she might be able to help with this. He knew that by hearing what Reid had said, that he was already involved.

"I met the family years ago, I helped them get Sakura back. I helped them to get her to believe that there way was the right way. It was easy because we were in hospital together. She calls me her older brother and I suppose it's that that made me decide not to help Mei Lin this time. Sakura I think has some idea of what is happening, or she doesn't remember enough to know that she did trust Mei Lin. In her last letter she asked me to protect Ruby. She has never trusted Edward." Reid shook his head slightly. "I can look after myself and Ruby and I've only told you about this. The person I'm worried about is Sakura. She's so innocent in a way and at this stage broken. George smiled as the professor laughed, it seemed as though he understood George properly. He liked it. "That's not nice, people shouldn't be mean to others if they haven't tried out their lifestyle" George sighed, some people were stupid. But he would never say that to them.

Jane went out to the Kitchens to bring back a jug of cold water and 3 empty glasses. Oh boy, the tray was heavy. Jane walked slowly up the stairs. She had managed to avoid about 2 running students. She got back in time to give Christian and the Professor a drink before they started their next session.

"Here, have some water,"she said, while pouring a glass each for Professor Dumont, Christian and herself. She gulped down her glass of water in one go. She was so nervous watching Professor Dumont and her love go at it that she could drink a whole fish tank.

Sarah smiled as the Professor said it was very good. "Thank's Professor, I just love drawing it can keep one calm." She giggled. "It is also very relaxing." She said as she looked into the Professor eyes and stared at him whilest he was talking to hanging onto his every word. "No I haven't thought about it." She said truthly. "But what do you mean about letting other people see it, how would I do that?" She asked, the Professor could be confusing she thought to herself.

"Yes, you're absolutely right, there is no way to have avoided myself or my family being involved in this," Antonio agreed. "Sakura needs to be protected, she has already suffered greatly. She had been through a rough enough time, and then what happened last year was really enough to put her over the edge, I suppose. I just hope she will recover and be able to resume her studies again, she's a very bright girl and has so much potential and it is unfortunate that her circumstances have been so hard. So, how do you think we should proceed with this, Reid? And I do know that Mei Lin can be very determined, I've already seen a little bit of that last year. I'm sure I haven't yet seen the full potential of what she is capable of."

"That's very true, George, but then, some people are very reluctant to try anything new. Or maybe they're just afraid," Antonio said. "I think that has more to it then anything else, just the fear that they might like what they find and it would destroy everything they've come to believe. That can be hard."

"Thank you very much, Jane, I appreciate it," Antonio said, taking a a glass of water and proceeding to drink it slowly. There was no need to rush this any more than necessary, even though Christian did need to be prepared. It was difficult work, and not pleasant in any respect.

"By that I meant that you might think about putting some of your pictures in an art show where other people can see them," Antonio said. "I think they are good enough that people would enjoy seeing your work. You don't have to sign your name to them if you don't want to, but I think you would be surprised how good your work really is and how many people would enjoy it."

"She is studying, she's going to the school I transferred from and so her education will be well rounded. The problem is how to protect Sakura. It's not something that can easily be done with her being so far away and under the scrutiny of people who believe in her parents goals. For all I know her mail is being checked so whenever I write to her I'm careful to act neutrally whenever I can." Reid leaned against the wall as he contemplated what Dumont asked him. "Carefully and in true Slytherin style. Mei Lin knows a lot of tricks and she isn't afraid to use them. I think the real test will be how much she really does trust me. If it's less than I believe things could get tricky for everyone extremely quickly. Your probably right about that. She often doesn't reveal things unless she needs to and she is an artist of disguise, she's the one that got me into acting actually. There is a difference between Mei Lin and her parents and uncle though. That is that she does care. Especially about Sakura. The problem is that she truly does believe that what she was brought up to think is correct and no-one can change her mind on that unless she wants to believe something else."

"I think we could probably organize some type of show for your artwork, or maybe we could get your pictures displayed someplace so that others could enjoy them," he said. "I could try and check on that if you like. I really do think it might be worth considering, because you really are good!"

"Yes, I got that impression of her in the brief time I knew her," Antonio said. "I always did get the idea that she had feelings underneath it all, though, and that she could be changed if she were ever to believe the truth. I never felt that she was necessarily bound to be a death eater her entire life. But I doubt there will be any way to change her mind, at least not at this time, anyway. It may be something we can work on for the future. The problem right now is, as you said, keeping Sakura out of danger."

Christian screamed in pain as his father's face appeared in his mind and the voice started again "Christian my son, embrace your destiny! JOIN ME!" He tried to fight back, to hold on to Jane's face but she was slipping away.

Marcus lent casually up against the wall of Professor Dumont's office, watching as he worked on his nephew. He stood quietly and said nothing as he observed the goings on, he would speak to the Professor in private and away from prying eyes and ears.

Jane almost knocked over the chair in the office as she dove for Christian, who was losing concentration. She hugged him tight and ran her fingers through his hair. She wanted him to succeed. He was strong enough for this and she knew it! She gave an encouraging look and smiled at him like she did at the lake.

"Take a breath, love,"Jane told him.

Christian gasped for air. He drank some of his water and forced himself to breathe. "The pain's getting worse." He whispered, cringing.

Jane frowned. Christian was doing a great job. That evil voice didn't even give him a break when he had one. Jane's small hands grabbed his hand so he had something to hold on to, while he's in pain.

"Yes, that would help a lot," Antonio agreed. "Try to focus on something that makes you happy." This was a lot like conjuring a patronus, just as he had thought earlier. The happiest memory would drive out all the bad and make the task that much simpler.

Marcus inclined his head towards Dumont. "Thought I would come and discuss the situation with your nephew. But by all means continue, I am in no hurry." He folded his arms across his chest and watched with a casual expression on his face.

Christian tried to focus on singing and Jane. He weakly closed his eyes "All the days of my life, I'd rather be with you. There's no way without you." He sang soflty. Her face appeared in his mind again then disappeared and he screamed!
