Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Antonio listened to what Sarah had to say about the giant squid and the possibility that it might have somehow caused the dungeon to flood. "Well, you never know," he said. "That's certainly an interesting thought." He was still convinced it was just some freak occurrence.

"I'm sure your homework will be fine," he said. "Music is such a subjective thing, peoples' tastes are so different, so I just wanted to try and get each person's individual take on the subject. I don't think there's any right or wrong way to answer, just listen to the music and decide what you like. That's probably what has had the most influence, at least certainly on you! And I'm glad you enjoyed the lesson."

Christian felt Jane push him into his Uncle's office. His hands wee on his head tears rolling down his face and he was screaming in pain as the voice resounded in his head saying. "You and your mother will come home to me!" He fell to his knees screaming in tortured agony.

"Professor Dumont!!I'm sorry.It's Christian!!He..hears that voice in his head!! And.. it's hurting him. Please.. help him!!!"

Jane rushed into the office, but not before giving the door 2 knocks. Jane wiped his tears with her hand, and crouched down to hold him tight in a consoling way rather than a romantic one.

Antonio saw Christian and Jane come into the office, with Christian holding his head and Jane being very concerned. "What is it, what's happened?", he asked. Oh Merlin, not the legilmancy thing again, he groaned. "I think I know what's wrong with him," he said. "Christian, you have to resist the voice. You can do it, you have the strength within you."

Sarah laughed, "Well I can certainly be full of those sometimes!" Maybe it was the squid,maybe it was something else entirely.Whatever it was hopefully it had now stopped and the Hufflepuff common room and kitchens weren't under any threat.Sarah would hate to lose her stuff too....and have no food from the wonderful elves.

"I'll do that then,Sir.Hopefully I'll be able to think of a good way of getting my opinion about it across." Smiling,Sarah turned at the sound of a noise....

The door had been flung open and two people had made their way inside,one in apparent agony from something.Voices in his head,is that what the girl with him said? Strange.
Not wanting to get in the way when Professor Dumont was obviously needed,Sarah put her hand up and waved. "Well it was nice talking to you Professor,I'd better leave you to it...must get my homework done! Bye,Sir!"
She gave a final wave as she made her way back out of his office and towards the common room.

Antonio smiled at George's suggestion. "Sure! That way each of you has an extra copy just in case one gets misplaced or something. That's an excellent idea!" With that he drew his wand and produced 10 copies of the map. "Here you go," he said, handing the maps to George.

Christian backed into a corner, the pain was unbearable. He didn't want to let his father in. He fought as hard as he could. "It hurts Uncle." He managed to gasp.

"I know it does," Antonio said. "The only way to fight it is to block your thoughts so that it can't get in. It's hard to do, but you have the power, I know you do. You're so much like your cousin who you haven't met yet, and she learned to do this. I know you can, too!" Christian reminded him of Monica in so many ways, and he was going through the same kind of stuff that she had gone through. "You have to learn to shield your thoughts, so that he can't penetrate them. It isn't easy, but you can do it. Jane and I can help you practice." He knew that Jane would be surprised, but she could actually help Christian with this, too, since she was the closest person to him.

George smiled as the professor seemed only too happy to oblige. George nodded to confirm what the professor was saying. He'd got the idea, he was a clever guy. George sorta.. liked him, which was wierd, 'cause George didn;t usually like people. He took the maps "Thank you sir." George folded them carefully and put them in his bag. "Um.. sir?" George looked up at him "Can I ask you a question?" George asked nervously

Jane looked at Professor Dumont and smiled. She'd never really talked to him before. He was nice. Now that she got to help Christian get this right, she was even happier. Wow. She thought. She looked over at Christian, who was preparing himself and wondered what a strong person he must be, to want to resist that voice getting inside his head, whatever it took. He reminded her of Harry Potter. She'd read about it in a magazine, saying he also went through this in his later years at Hogwarts.

She didn't want to interrupt his concentration. You can do it. We'll be here.She gave him a smile. She really wanted this to work. Seeing him scream all this while made her want to scream as well. It was just painful to watch.

"Okay, good. What I need you to do is to make your mind like a blank canvas, in a manner of speaking. Wipe it free of any thoughts at all. Then I want you to concentrate on something that makes you feel good, and don't let anything else in at all. This is the only thing you can think of and nothing else can touch you." This was one approach to starting with the occulmency ability, one which was somewhat similar to conjuring up a patronus. The happy thought would keep all the other things out, and Jane could help with this. Antonio had a feeling she was probably Christian's happiest thought.

Christian smiled. His happiest moment ever was the first time he kissed Jane by the lake in the moonlight right before curfew. He allowed himself to immerse himself in the memory, to actually feel it. "Ok Uncle Tony. I'm ready, try to get in."

"Yes, actually I do," Antonio said. "I know a lot of people wonder about that, since I'm a pureblood, but the thing is that I really do find the muggles fascinating and wanted to show to all the young witches and wizards out there. They have their own world of things which are almost as magical as ours, but in a different way, and it's even more magical because they invented all these things themselves."

Antonio thought about that question for a second. "That's a really good question," he said. "And to tell you the truth, I don't think they ever did. I think the muggles did it all on their own, and that's the really amazing part of it." He had never thought about that before.

"Unfortunately professor some private matters cannot always remain private. I'm unhappy that this certain matter wont be able to remain private for long and that it may cause devastating effects on people who's lives have already been touched by too much tragedy in such a short amount of time." As Reid said this he looked down slightly, truly sorrowful for the news he had. But he also knew that this professor was probably the one he could turn to the most. After all he had somehow managed to get Sakura to trust him so he must be an alright guy.

Jane stood there in the office feeling quite helpless. She felt like screaming with him too. She felt uneasy. She felt like he's making her want to scream. He needed to block it! Block it!...Block it!She thought. She had managed to suppress that need to scream, somehow.

Please, love. You need to block it. You can do it. I'm right here. She thought. She wanted to touch his face. Then, she thought she'd rather not, just in case it broke his concentration. She kept cheering him on with her thoughts. She was making herself see this, even though it scared her. She'd just have to bear with it because she might learn how to help him snap out of him when they left the office.

Christian took a deep breath and concentrated on fighting him. His head was pounding and He wanted to scream again. slowly Jane's face came back into focus and his father's face was gone. He leaned against the wall breathing carefully. He had to make it where his father could never get in his head again. "Again!" He said, determined.

Jane wanted to just hug him tight there. But when he said AGAIN, she didn't want to break his spirit and make him give in, emotionally. He had to be tough. To resist. She should restrain herself too. She bit her lip where she stood. She had gone a little thirsty.

"Uhmm..excuse me, Professor Dumont, but can I get something to drink? Would you like any?" she thought of running down to the Great Hall to get a pitcher of iced water for everyone.

George looked proud of himself as the professor said it was a good question. "Wow.. that's really interesting, so do a lot of wizards use muggle applicantses" George asked, getting it wrong, he'd meant to say appliances. But he didn't realised his mistake.
