Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

It gives you an advantage over some people, in a way, because you get to see things from two different worlds. And that is a very quick change, coming on so unexpectedly. I hope you make a lot of new friends here and you're right, the people are realy nice here. I'm sure you'll do fine."

"I would like that," Antonio said. He thought about it and realized he probably only actually met less than half of the students, which was kind of sad. "You could have them come here with you when you find them some time."

Christian shifted nervously on his feet. He needed to talk to professor Dumont alone. His mind kept drifting back to Diagon Alley and that creepy guy that kept following him around. He'd met the dude in The Leaky Cauldron and just gotten chatting somehow Christian's life story had just spilled out and now the guy wouldn't leave him alone. "Professor could we talk alone? I have a problem." Christian whispered.

Antonio suspected that Christian already knew that he was in danger. That would make it easier to persuade him to go back to the cottage with Bethany and Erin where he could be safe, he thought. That was what the women wanted, and knowing that Romulus Black was involved, he had to agree that it was probably a good idea. "Yes, of course," he said. "That's what I'm here for."

Antonio's worst fears were confirmed. He remembered the task he had been sent to do. "Yes, well about that. You remember the note you delivered to me before? That note was from my wife. Christian was confused. "So it's true. I do have a family. And you're my uncle?" Christian asked softly. He put his head in his hands as he sat Down in front of his uncle's desk. He thought seriously for a few minutes and said. "Alright I'll go but only if I can come back to school every day with you. I'm not letting him ruin my life and that includes my education." He replied.

"Here?" George repeated surprisedly "I'm not sure I'd remember how to get here" he admitted "If there was a map for this big place, it would be okay" George shrugged and kept his hand on Sarah's robes

"That's good," Antonio said. "I wouldn't accept it under any other conditions, as I am completely devoted to your education. I just don't want to see anything happen to you in the meantime. And I know your family will be happier if you're with them."

"Of course! I would think of no less to help you, I would do that for any student," Antonio said. He could see that the little guy could use some help. He drew out a piece of parchment and a quill and began drawing a map of Hogwarts floor by floor, marking each floor accordingly. "This should help you," he said, handing the map to George.

Antonio shuddered. That statement wasn't quite true, there had been another family member who Christian had met, one he didn't even want to think about. "Well, my wife wants to meet you," he said. He wondered if he should explain to Christian that his mother was there with her, too. It was probably better to wait on that one, he decided. Christian would see for himself what the situation was soon enough.

"Do you think you could possibly excuse me from Class today? I need time to pack and your class is my last class today. Also could I possibly have a moment to say goodbye to Jane so she won't worry about me?" He asked his uncle softly.

"Okay, Katie," Antonio said. That was interesting, there were some boys Katie wanted him to meet but they hadn't shown up with her. Antonio knew that it could be very hard keeping track of people in a school the size of Hogwarts.

Sarah strode up to the door of her favourite Professor and knocked.It was the first time since term began that she'd been to his office,probably the first time in forever.She'd heard he'd made Head of House for Gryffindor and wanted to congratulate him,however the dungeons had flooded before she had the chance and everyone was in a panic over it.Now that things had seemingly calmed down,she hoped anyway,she had found the time for a visit.
Sarah waited patiently outside the door to be invited in.She could hear other students inside and didn't want to interrupt by just opening the door and entering.

George smiled happiky and watched excitedly as the professor took out some parchment and a quill and started drawing. When he'd finished, George took the map and looked at it "Wow, thank you sir" George breathed "It's great! I'll be able to find all my classes now!" George grinned and then nudged Sarah a little to look at the map. Maybe George would get Alice or S to duplicate it so they all had a map, or George at least had spares.

"It does give me that but it's also slightly strange. I feel distant from the people that I used to talk to because they say things and I don't get it like I used to. Mainly because the stuff is things that are going on in their lives at the moment. It feels weird not to be entirely part of that any more. I mean I knew what it would be like here. I had some friends explain Hogwarts to me for all of last year but still..." sighing slightly Reid shook his head to clear it of thoughts. "I also need to talk to you about a few things, privately if that would be possible. There are some things that a select few people in this room shouldn't hear." As he said this he shot a significant look at Ruby.

"That's fine," Antonio said. "I always have time for my students when they feel the need to discuss things in private." The room was starting to clear out a bit now, and he hoped that he would be able to meet privately with a few students soon. It was hard keeping everyone happy, and he hated to turn students away.

"Why, thank you, Sarah, I truly appreciate that!", Antonio said warmly, then looked a little concerned. "Yes, that was very unfortunate, what happened down there in the dungeons. I don't remember anything like that happening at Hogwarts before, but the castle is old, so it was probably just due to that. A group of other professors and I went down there and we were able to stop the flooding with spells, so hopefully everything will be back to normal soon."

Sarah nodded at his response about the dungeons. "I'm glad you all managed to get it under control," she said sincerely. "Maybe it was the squid dislodging some of the rock in the lake!" She giggled slightly because it was an absured idea and one she didn't really believe.Just old stone rubbing away like the Professor had said,that must be it.For some reason,though,she couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't an accident.

"Oh! And it was a great first lesson,Sir," she continued,changing the subject as she couldn't think what else to say about the dungeons. "Although I'm having trouble deciding who I think influenced music the most in the '50's.So I apologise in advance if my homework isn't good!" She laughed,looking round the room as she did so.So many familiar things filled it.That's why she liked the lessons so much...it reminded her of home and the way things were before she found out about Hogwarts and magic.
