Prefect's Bathroom Quote:
|
This was what she had been waiting for since she became quidditch captain. The prefect's bathroom. It was rumored to have a tub the size of a hot tub. She was giddy as she practically skipped down the corridor toward the bathroom. She wouldn't have to fight with other students or Myrtle to get some peace and quiet in the bathroom. It was going to be pure heaven. And she could sit in the front of the mirror and change her hair color to her hearts delight. She gave the password and the portrait swung open. She took a deep breath and walked in. It wasn't like her bathroom at home, her closet wasn't here for one thing and this bathroom was bigger. Hmm, she wondered if she could talk her dad into expanding her bathroom. She walked around taking in the bathroom. This was the life. No wonder Anna toes the line and smiled and geeked at all the professors if this was the thanks you got. It would be nice if they had a private dining room too. Hmm, might need to suggest that to Professor Vindictus. |
A faint sniffling, whining sound came from one of the pipes near the pearly bathtub. |

"NNnnnnnnnnnnNOOOOOO!" the ghostie screeched from somewhere up around the bend in the pipe. "You'll jjjust, you'll just," she sniffled loudly and it distinctly sounded like she was swallowing snot, "you'll jjust kick me ooooouuuuttt like evvvverybodddy does. Or you'll ffforget about meeeeee." The term had been in session like a whole WEEK and no one had come to visit Myrtle. For shame, Hogwartians. |

SCCHHHHHQUEEELLLLLLLLLLLLCHHHHHHH! With a wet, loud little POP! the grey ghostie was out of the pipe and floating horizontally on top of the bathwater. "I think that sounds reasonable," Myrtle agreed solemnly, not a sign of tears on her face. Either she was very good at making whining sounds by now or she had, in fact, not been crying at all. She eyed the Quidditch captain quizzically. "What's your naaaaame?" |
Yes, not the Common Room, it could be too crowded. And she forgot something else she had to finish, but the Library began to feel very crowded after a while, weird. However, Kaika was not expecting to find people here. Oh, right, a ghost and someone else. Still, people. Because that was Myrtle, if she was on the right track. And...someone else she didn't know, maybe, it was hard to see. "Oh, sorry" she said, the moment after she entered the Prefects Bathroom. "Why, hello Myrtle..." hopefully she didn't get the ghost's name wrong. They could be quite unreasonable sometimes. |
Ooooh OOOOOH! So now everyone wanted to spend time with Myrtle in her perfect pretty Prefect loo. Well, duh, she was the bestest, prettiest ghostie. Who wouldn't want to chat with her? "Why helllllllllo Huffypuffy," the ghost called out in an oddly sweet tone, floating right-side up to squint at the girl's badge. "Oooh, I mean, Captain Huffypuffy." Myrtle giggled her ear-splitting laugh. "Do you happen to know my Jakey Wakey Knight in Shining Armour? He's a Huffypuff too, I mean, when he's not off tickling dragons and allll." Giggle giggle. |
Kaika smiled. Surely, this will distract Myrtle from whoever needs some space, no? Not that she was looking to distract anyone, though. "Yes, Captain" she nodded, there were only two choices for those who came in here, either Prefect or Captain, and Myrtle got that one right. At least someone got amazing attention to detail, considering the amount of people that didn't notice her badge before. "Jakey Wakey?" she had to ask, because that was quite an odd name, wasn't it? "You mean, Jake...Upstead?" yes, he was one boy with dragons, alright. And he was a Hufflepuff as well, it had to be him. Knight in Shining Armour? Now, that was doubtful, considering how the boy ended running away from that Peruvian Vipertooth last year. |

Paris pulled the towel she had around her body tighter around her body. Even though Myrtle used to he a girl Paris didn't want to give the ghost anything to memorize on her body. "My name is Paris Greenwood." She told Myrtle. "We did meet last term you know," was she upset that a ghost didn't remember her name? Yes she was. Quote:
|
Quote:
"Is he smart and cute and did he ever like, get his head dunked in a toilet?" Because that's how she had met him, right? Right. Quote:
Honestly, this captain should get her head out of the clouds and pick up a history book now and then. Surely someone had written volumes about the amazing, awesome, moaning moping Myrtle by now. "Paris, okay, like, I'll remember you now. If you come visit me." She nodded and adjusted her glasses. Was the girl wearing a towel? She was really going to take a bath here? Ewwwww what happened to Cutie Cliffie of Delicious Dominic? Why couldn't theyyyyy take a bath today? |
Quote:
"Don't mind me, I was just...looking for a less crowded place" yes, the Slytherin Captain could take all the time in the world she wanted. Kaika was simply rewriting homework and talking to Myrtle. Nothing more. As soon as she was done, she'll be out. Quote:
Still, maybe Myrtle knew something more about the boy, "Was he a first year when you met him?" if he was then that was the same boy, and if he was the same boy, then they were in trouble. "Well, he's a Hufflepuff, so, yes he's smart..." maybe not smart enough to know that no one messes with Kazimeriz, "...and cute, yes, that too" pretty lovable as well, or so Kaika liked to think. Honestly, if the Captain truly knows him she wouldn't be so fond of him. "But, you're a bit mistaken about one thing if we're talking about the same boy" suspense. |
someone called for the delicious Dominic, me thinks... ;) Between fainting first years and angst-filled sixth years, Dominic was in need of a quiet place with little people. While the library would have seemed ideal - especially at this time of year - it was also filled with one of Dominic's highest phobias, which was books. Not that he terribly minded Madame Kohan anymore... at least not as much as in his fourth year. It was just still the fact of being around all those books that was a bother to him. So the one place for quiet it seemed was the Prefect's bathroom. Since after all, only twelve people were allowed in there, one of which included him. Of course the last thing he expected to find in there was one of contributors to his own angst. And not to mention the fact that he completely forgot about that Moaning Myrtle was a frequent visitor to this loo. "Oh. Sorry," He murmured, gulping as he realized that Paris was wearing nothing but a towel. Wait... WHAT!?!?! Paris IS a Prefect!? No wait.. She was Slytherin, and he was pretty sure that both Evangeline and Clifford were in the Prefect's Compartment on the train. So then... What was she doing in here? What happened to Callie as Captain?! He was pretty sure Callie was younger than him. Uh yes. Maybe now should be a good time to leave as quickly as he came. Him being in the same room with Paris, who was either getting in or out of the bath, and Kaika, who was probably still not speaking with him, was probably not the smartest of decisions. So . . . Why was he still standing there gaping? |
Speaking of boys. That voice. She simply froze. Didn't need to look up to see who it was. And didn't want to look up either. What was the point of looking up when Dominic Denton was in the same room? Her cheeks were...pink again? No way of telling, since she was not going to look up. Not looking up. Maybe...a little? No! Wait. He'd apologized. Oh, dear Merlin! He should, to the Slytherin Captain that is. Captain?! Does Dominic has a thing for Captains, now? No, because clearly he never meant to be stuck in a room with two Captains. Maybe Willow should join their party right now. Willow. Kaika couldn't help to narrow her eyes a bit. There. Now she could face Dominic without her cheeks being all silly pink. Kaika set her quill away from the parchment and looked up, her eyes looking straight at the newcomer, "Denton, I suggest you leave" she said, and she was slightly surprised at how bitter her tone was, slightly surprised and proud, by the way. |
Quote:
"I wasn't telling you want to do Myrtle," she said tiredly. She didn't have the energy to argue with her today. She just wanted a bath! "Well we can hang out here and talk sometimes if you want." Paris offered. Myrtle wasn't all that bad when she wasn't flirting or crying. Quote:

Neverrrrrrrrr. "What's that?" the ghostie inquired curiously. Her mouth hung open just a little bit until the door to the bathroom popped open again.... Quote:
"Hhihhiiiiiii Prefect Dominicnicnicccc," Myrtle stammered, immediately floating up to the boy's side and batting her eyelashes. "Need some help with your bath? I think Paris already drew some water for youuuuu." She tapped his nose with her icy-cold finger and giggled again. Heheee. Now this was what the bathroom was for. Quote:

Quote:
Gaze flickering over towards the Hufflepuff Captain, Dominic's eyebrows narrowed in shock. Was she . . . blushing!? Though the sixth year realized he probably was not supposed to see that and looked away, contemplating that leaving thing again quite seriously now. Until. She spoke to him, quite bitterly too. The first time since before ... well, the ordeal last term. So it was no wonder her tone was as such. "No need to suggest that, Lockhart," he replied, meeting her gaze and tone with equal bitterness. Quote:
Nonetheless, she was self-conscious. Surprising though for a Slytherin. "You know, there are males who are entitled to use this bathroom. And well, I didn't even know that you were allowed? What - may i ask - is your reasoning that privies you to use of this private area?" Dominic inquired, paying no mind now to her intimate apparel, as the shock at worn off, so to him, it was like she was completely dressed. Quote:
"Hello Myrtle," Dom greeted politely, ignoring her stammer and obvious fawning and flirting over him. Urgh... Newell was good to have left Hogwarts for this main reason here. Lucky boy. And then, she tapped his nose, causing him to jerk his head back slightly out of instinct. "Uh... No thanks, Myrtle. I am not sure, but I do think that Paris drew the water for herself though." At least that's why I would guess she is wearing nothing but a towel "Yup.. I think, I was uh, just dropping by," he smiled vaguely at the ghost, and the two females in there before turning to leave. Oh yes... Escape was like a necessity now! |

Quote:
If she passed out she wondered if they would leave her there or take her to the hospital wing. That would be funny to see Dominic standing there weighting the pros and cons of taking her or leaving her. |
lol Quote:
Yes, probably not. This was awkward, to say the least. Kaika should've stayed at the Library. Next time, Library, always and forever. There. Quote:
"Oh, then I guess we have a problem" she started to explain, and since Dominic was not going to be listening then there was no problem in stating the obvious, "Well, not a problem, really" she added, and smiled, yes, smiled. She needed something to smile for, that will clear her head a bit, "See, your Knight in Shining Armour is not precisely yours" she could've stuck her tongue out like a little child, but didn't. "Jake...he's my little sweet Huffie boy" she stated, though, the boy in question wasn't anyone's possession. Quote:
His eyes were amongst the most beautiful things in the world. And she's seen the Antipodean Opaleye very closely. :P However, that didn't match the tone in his voice. 'Lockhart'. Ouch! That really hurt. And, she'll be remembering that for quite a while, probably, since Bludgers hurt way less and she still remembers how much Tancred hurt her arm. Yet, someone might expect the sixteen year-old to look away, and she didn't. Her eyes kept fixed on Dominic. "I could easily suggest a lot of other things as well, Prefect" like, for instance, 'Keep Out of the Quidditch Pitch'. First, that would be awesome if he did. She didn't know how much it hurt to actually see the boy, and it might be worse if she saw him play. Because everything looks much better when Quidditch is involved, right? Second, there's no guarantee of who will the Bludgers take as a target, and hurting Dominic's face won't be so nice. Third, well, why should he play Quidditch in the first place? Fourth, and most importantly, she arrived first at Hogwarts, therefore, the Pitch belongs to her. Ummm, well, no, it belongs to the school, but still, it sounds quite fair if someone weights who's been here the longest between those two, no? Now, why wasn't Dominic leaving? Oh, and now Myrtle wanted him around? Perfect. Quote:
Oh, how much she wanted to be able to speak that way, especially to the same one that Captain was talking to. Though, she was partially right in what she was saying. Partially, because, well, Kaika could be a bit biased in favoring the Prefect, not out loud, though. She was now liking this girl very, very, very much. And at the same time she knew this was someone she should be in good terms with. And...she was breathing too loud. Way too loud. Not good. "Ermm...You should...sit down and...maybe breathe slowly?" she suggested, and stood up. No one could know if the girl was going to need assistance in something. |
*couldn't help herself* One of the benefits of now being a prefect, was definetly being able to use the prefect bathroom. And that was where the tiny hufflepuff was going now, unaware that it was probably going to be a bad idea. On reaching the bathroom, she spoke the password, and entered, but immedietly stopped, on realising who was here. Denton. Oh great. "Erm...hey?" She spoke, looking a little awkward, she looked at the others, and gave Kaika a smile. Well...this was going to be awkward. |
now all we need is a lion and a claw and we got ourselves a party:) Quote:
Quote:
That thought gave her a giggle and it made the towel go tighter around her chest. She waved at the girl anyways. "Hi," she said to the girl her face going red. Was she about to pass out...naw. She wouldn't do that. |
-Snickers- After leaving Professor Svensson's office in a hurry, and making sure that Terry Saunders had NOT set on of his stupid little fingers on her captain badge, Willow Kovac found herself wandering around the halls. Granted, it wasn't like THIS was a time to wander, for the girl already had homework, not to mention that tryouts were coming out and she needed to get ready for them as well as her birthday . . . Her birthday was a forbidden topic to think about, for Willow was not sure if she felt ready to turn seventeen. To become and adult. Shudder. Pushing these thoughts out of her mind, the girl's feet dragged her to the fifth corridor, and before she could make sense of anything, she was standing outside a very familiar portrait. The prefect's bathroom. Of course. She would be able to do homework, plan tryouts, NOT think about her birthday, think about, er, stuff, and many other things. It was alwaysw empty, after all. Muttering the password under her breath after making sure that no one was arrived to see her enter, she stepped inside the bathroom, only to see that it was not as empty as she had been expected it to be. Vanessa, Kaika Lockhart, that annoying Slytherin girl -what was she doing there?- and . . . Dominic Denton. Oh, marvelous. Of course he would be there. Of course they would all be there Granted, Willow did not have anything against Vanessa, and she did not mind the Hufflepuff captain that much, but that . . . that Slytherin girl. The Seeker. What on earth was she doing there? And on a towel? While Dominic was around? Her jaw locked, and her forest green eyes narrowed at the Slytherin girl. But wait - she did not care. Or at least she was trying very hard not to, for he obviously didn't either. "Vanessa, Kaika, Denton." Cool, detached, yet polite, her greeting came. Yes, she had just called him Denton, and completely ignored the Slytherin seeker - Willow didn't even know her name, and nor did she have any desire to. Hmph. "Oh, and hello, Myrtle," greeted Willow, once she'd spotted the ghost. Of course she would be lurking around the prefect's bathroom. |
now THIS is fun...Angie <3 Quote:
Oh, it was Vannie! Kaika smiled, "Hey! Congrats on the Prefect thing, by the way" she nodded, this was the first time she'd seen Vanessa throughout the new school year, and clearly she hadn't said 'congratulations'. It could be slightly amusing to have Vanessa as a Prefect, though. But, thank goodness someone she knew, and liked very much, decided to step inside. Quote:
"If...you say so" a shrug came to her shoulders, not that she cared too much, but the girl needed to calm down a bit, or they'll be seeing her on the floor, that is. Though, who could calm down in this situation? Quote:
Kaika's eyes widened in surprise (should she be surprised at all that this happened?) as she noticed who it was. Honestly, things couldn't have turned out better today. Having the sight of both Willow and Dominic in the same room was NOT at all great for her. Were they trying to kill her? This situation was neither good for the Hufflepuff Captain nor the Slytherin one. Now, Vanessa was more than welcome to stay, the other two, not so much. But her response was something she didn't expect, "Hey Willow! How was your summer?" simple, nice, and with a smile?! Yes, a smile to the Ravenclaw Captain, because she was not responsible for Dominic Denton existence, was she? Nope, so why Kaika couldn't be nice to the girl? Still, this whole thing was a bit awkward, to say the least. And now her eyes were nowhere near the only boy in the room. Who was, maybe, hoping he'd never stepped inside the Prefect's Bathroom today. |
*grins* Dominic was really trying to keep himself rational and his temper in check. Because he did not really care for what Paris Greenwood was wearing, nor would he ever. So why was she so temperamental then when he obviously did not care? Including about not explaining anything to him; which was true that she was in a password protected area, so she wouldn't be here if she wasn't allowed. But at the same time, he was still older than her AND was prefect. Besides, he still bested her as seeker when he was in fourth year. "Relax, Greenwood," he just shook his head, amused at how offended she seemed by his presence. "Wouldn't want you to bust an artery in your head." Though it might help clean things up for you. Oh. The way she said 'other males that use this bathroom would have had the manners to see if it was occupied', was just tugging at his patience level. "Well, you should also know that other females would have not minded my presence so much as last year, I had no issues with being in here with mixed genders to just simply lounge." Okay, so maybe there were a few issues with Willow and Kayla... But all sorted now, right? And Paris needn't know of that either. "No. I don't have to be informed of every change that went on, but it's still nice to know." Oh. She WAS the Slytherin Captain! So then... what happened with Callie Long? Not that he minded, because he never really liked that girl. She always gave him attitude... perhaps there was just a trend with him and Slytherin Captains. "Well... Congratulations." Oh no! It then dawned on him that he was in the Bathroom with fifty percent of Hogwarts Captains. All he needed now was Willow Kovac and Alexis C-- OH! Wait, Alexis graduated -- so who was the new Gryffindor Captain? Dear Merlin, if it was a female... Too bad he did not realize all the captains were female last term too. "Uh... Do you perchance know who the new Gryffindor Captain is?" Dominic asked unintentionally. The sixth year turned back to his own house captain though when he heard her speaking to Myrtle about, 'Jake...he's my little sweet Huffie boy'. Odd. Jake was a person, not a possession. And then, she gazed back at him, unable to look away from his piercing golden eyes. The almost-sixteen-year-old couldn't deny though that her own eyes were quite beautiful. Not boring brown, nor the majestic forest green of another captain, but interesting. Light and pretty and made him unable to remove his gaze. Her tone was fierce and did not match the lightness of her eyes. It was no wonder she was Captain. "You could suggest them, but that doesn't mean I have to listen, Captain," he smiled wryly at her. Oh ... good of Kaika to suggest something like Paris sitting down. Yes, wouldn't want the girl to bust an artery or vein. But then, the door opened, which hadn't since he arrived... And for a fleeting moment, Dominic wished for some male backup - like Clifford or someone, well Clifford was the only one he really knew - since Jack and Chris were still slightly new... But no, to his disappointment, it was his co-prefect, Vanessa. Ughh... "Hello Vanessa," He greeted politely though, half-hoping she would leave, lest he have to commit to drowning in the Prefect's tub. Way too much female in the room. Ah... Of course, even though Kaika's suggestion had been quite heartfelt, the Slytherin was stubborn, as he remembered Callie was too and claimed to be fine. When she clearly was NOT fine. "Seriously, you ought to heed her advice," Dominic pointed out, agreeing with Kaika for the first time in quite awhile... ... Until, the door opened again! The only thing that could possibly make this party worse than it already it was would be the addition of Willow Kovac. Oh awesome! It had to be Willow to enter the Prefect's bathroom. Shifting uncomfortably as his gaze flickered from the four witches and Myrtle to the pool of water, Dominic was thoroughly tempted now. The only thing stopping him was that he wasn't even sixteen yet... Yes, he had to make it to sixteen, because if he didn't, then well... Yea. Ah, she didn't seem bothered though by the presence of the people in here. Or at least she appeared not to, but knowing Willow as he did, then she undoubtedly was bothered but just hid it. And greeted them by their fast names... Well, Vanessa and Kaika anyway. Why his last name? Wracking his brain, he tried to recall what he might have done to create such angst. Not write to her over the summer? Surely she wasn't still mad about that. Hmm... Nope, nothing came to mind. Biting his lower lip, he only realized he hadn't answered her greeting. "Willow," he greeted automatically, not even noticing he didn't match her own mood by using last names. |
