Antonio walked into the Muggle Studies classroom for the first time, excited to be back in front of the students again after the summer break. The break had been bittersweet, as there had been a tragic loss over the course of it, but there had also been a gain that he had never expected to have back again, since his wife Bethany was now reunited with him once again after having been rescued from death eaters. Just as he had given up all hope of seeing her again, and the miraculous thing was that she was pretty much unchanged.

Antonio thought about things that had happened last term. Apparently he and several other professors had actually regressed in their minds to being Hogwarts students age, and he and a couple other professors had actually attended a few classes as students. Incredible as that was to believe, he had a somewhat vague memory of binging at Hogwarts. He wondered if this term was going to be a better one, and he hoped it would be. The Mirror of Erised was gone now, and that was a big relief.

Antonio posted up a huge poster at the front of the classroom -

Then he addressed the class. "Good morning, everyone, and welcome back to Hogwarts. We're going to get started in just a few minutes, so please go ahead and take a seat. And just to explain, we are trying things a little differently this year. I am not going to be giving individual house points, however, I am going to be keeping track of those who do welll in the class and you will have the chance to earn stars, which can become house points at the end. House points have been out of control, and of course you will have the chance to earn maximum points on your homework. We really need to focus on learning rather than making a huge competition for points, and so that's what we are doing this term. Just so all of you know." He smiled. "But there will be various surprises and goodies handed out during this class, as well, so be ready."

ooc: Class will be lasting for a few days, so I will be appearing in and out at different times. Don't worry! This also gives people maximum opportunity to show up, and your homework will be posted at the end. Come in and enjoy!

'Nice to meet you too,' he called back while she danced back to her seat. Dagobert tried to do the same but it was finding it hard to hide the fact that his feet were killing him. So his long strides looked more like wobbly steps. He finally hobbled back to his seat, took off his shoes and sighed happily at his feet being free. That was until he got a whiff of his feet.
'Sorry for the smell!' he announced cheerfully, 'Just giving my feet some well deserved rest.'

Lyra's eyes shifted from side to side as she remembered Cela's birthday party and the singing. "MMMEEEEK!" Okay that was like a whisper/EEK of excitement. Her brain almost overloaded with a PINK POODLE SKIRT but now, a KARAOKE MACHINE? OH she loved this professor at the moment! Did he know what excitement she was having in her brain? Dancing, singing, twirly skirts?

"I'll singgggggggggggggg!!!" Where was Cela? She needed her singing star with her!

Singing? Now singing was something she could do. She was good at singing, she had been singing all her life. It wasn't like this whole dancing thing, where you had to be coordinated, so it played to her strengths. Without even thinking she raised her hand and said, "Professor I like to sing!" Of course, right after she said it, she looked around at the room full a people and regretted it. She always seemed to forget her little stage fright problem until it was too late.

"Now let's try this..." He said, showing Reese a left back step...right back step...left...right, then twirl again.

"You are good at this...I think we must have lived one of our many lives in the 60´s..." He joked, though he almost felt like such, a teenager at such times.

Jack continued to stand in the back of the class playing air guitar. He already knew how to Jitterbug, as his mum was big on dancing, but he really didn't want to make a fool of himself.

Besides, Jack was used to being invisible. He'd gone unnoticed for four years. Now this Prefect business had people noticing him. He wasn't at all comfortable with his new position. Perhaps, in time....

Oh, wait, twirl? Oh, no, here it comes. Emiliano twirled Reese around and she smiled when she stopped back where she was, facing Em. Yay! She didn't hit anything or anybody. That was the only thing she was worried about when the twirl came was that she was going to hit something. But, she didn't. This was exciting.

"Oh, really? That's cool," she told him with a smile. She followed along with the music, trying to keep up. Then, Emiliano twirled her, again. She smiled again when she went back to facing Em. "I'm enjoying this," she added. She was actually glad Emiliano asked her to dance now.

"Mmhmm." Reese kept dancing, until she saw Allie being by herself. Aww. She needed a partner and she looked back at Em. "Hey, Em, will you do me a favor? Allie looks like she needs a partner and I've already danced with you. Could you go ask her to dance?" She asked him, hoping he didn't take it like she didn't want to dance anymore. But, she wanted Allie to have fun as well.

Danie was standing up and doing the step, step, step, twirl. But he was not getting the hang of thing. He was not a good dancer.

"I am a better musician than a dancer Daniel muttered in the bellow of his breathe.

As he was twirling and stepping he stepped on his foot and landed on his butt. Ouch! that hurts. Daniel stood up and rubbed his bum. He then proceeded to his stepping and twirling.

He'd start taking it personally one of these days. "I'm only kidding. Thanks for volunteering to dance with me," she said, with a smile.

...and so the dance began. Anna side, side rock-stepped her way through all the movements, trying to guide Jack as she moved along to the beat. The kid was actually doing pretty well. Anna had half-expected him to get up and stumble to the ground on the first step. He was going to surprise her after all, wasn't he? ...or not. A few seconds later, his foot came stamping down on hers, and Anna winced in pain. "Owww...," she said, through gritted teeth. "Holy mother of Merlin, that hurt." Nevertheless, she gave Jack an understanding look, trying hard not to hurt the boys feelings. "It's...quite...alright...., Jack," she said, finally smiling. "Let's carry on. We can make do with two left feet."

Ohh, a karaoke machine! Anna, Lyra, and Cela had used one of those at Cela's birthday party. Anna had sung some muggle song with Nico, Cela's older brother. Maybe it'd be fun to try out the karaoke machine as soon as her dance with Jack was done! For now, though, she'd just dance along to any beats coming from the karaoke machine. Maybe one of of her friends would sing a few tunes sometime soon!

Reese finally made it over to Allie and pulled her hand out of Em's grasp. "Uh, Allie," she said, smiling at her friend. "This is Em and I thought it would be a great time for you two to get to know each other and for you two to go out and jitterbug for a little bit."

Daniel saw the weird machine that everybody used in singing. That is nice, now singing.

Daniel then raised his hand and said, "Professor can we play musical instrument also? I am a fair guitarist and a piano specialist." he said.

Allie was sitting there watching everyone dance, when she saw Reese and some guy stop dancing come up to her. "Hey Reese." she said. Wait. Why was Reese smiling at her? Normally, she wouldn't have thought that smile meant anything, and maybe it didn't. But in this particular situation...she asked, rather suspiciously "Whose this?"

Ahhh Em. And they wanted her to dance. With Em. Poor innocent Em, who deserved not to have two broken feet by the end of this class.She glared at Reese. Why did she get the feeling this was all her idea? Oh, well maybe Reese didn't know of Allies uncoordinatedness. Now that she thought of it, she had never actually fallen around Reese, surprisingly enough. It was probably all under good intentions.

Then she looked at Em. "Hi Em, its nice to meet you." Now time to tell him how she couldn't dance with him. "Well....its not that I don't want..you know, I just..and-" Ahhh why did she have to be so bad at rejecting stuff? He just seemed really nice, and she didn't want to hurt his feelings and all. She sighed, and smiled at him."Why not? I mean how hard could this jitterbug thing be?" She looked around at the people stepping and rocking. Oh boy. "Just promise me you won't hate me after?"

Julie sat staring at the professor. Was he serious? Singing? She shook her head. Singing was not her strong point she smiled knowingly as her strong point rolled through her mind.

Karaoke? Dagobert was not sure how he felt about that. As much as he liked to think he was good at everything, even he had to admit that his voice was not exactly Grammy-worthy. In fact he was sure it was not even American Idol audition-worthy. He noticed it was Christian that had brought up the idea. He rolled his eyes, his performance would be enthralling to watch for sure. He wondered if the strange Gryffindor had noticed him here.
Better not draw myself any attention, he thought while wiggling his toes, I'm having a good day so far, don't need him to ruin it.

The looks towards each other could only mean that Allie never expected such invitation. He watched them talk for a second then woke up from the mid-day sleep when Allie introduced. "Nice to meet you too..." He answered with a wide smile.

"Actually," He said, taking her hand. "It's not hard at all. As I said to Reese, you first need to feel the rhythm of the song, tap it...then start moving your body like you think it's supposed to depending on the song." Em told her, smiling at both girls, starting to tap his shoes already, all set to dance again.

"Shall we?" Emiliano gestured his hand towards an empty space around the classroom.
