Antonio walked into the Muggle Studies classroom for the first time, excited to be back in front of the students again after the summer break. The break had been bittersweet, as there had been a tragic loss over the course of it, but there had also been a gain that he had never expected to have back again, since his wife Bethany was now reunited with him once again after having been rescued from death eaters. Just as he had given up all hope of seeing her again, and the miraculous thing was that she was pretty much unchanged.

Antonio thought about things that had happened last term. Apparently he and several other professors had actually regressed in their minds to being Hogwarts students age, and he and a couple other professors had actually attended a few classes as students. Incredible as that was to believe, he had a somewhat vague memory of binging at Hogwarts. He wondered if this term was going to be a better one, and he hoped it would be. The Mirror of Erised was gone now, and that was a big relief.

Antonio posted up a huge poster at the front of the classroom -

Then he addressed the class. "Good morning, everyone, and welcome back to Hogwarts. We're going to get started in just a few minutes, so please go ahead and take a seat. And just to explain, we are trying things a little differently this year. I am not going to be giving individual house points, however, I am going to be keeping track of those who do welll in the class and you will have the chance to earn stars, which can become house points at the end. House points have been out of control, and of course you will have the chance to earn maximum points on your homework. We really need to focus on learning rather than making a huge competition for points, and so that's what we are doing this term. Just so all of you know." He smiled. "But there will be various surprises and goodies handed out during this class, as well, so be ready."

ooc: Class will be lasting for a few days, so I will be appearing in and out at different times. Don't worry! This also gives people maximum opportunity to show up, and your homework will be posted at the end. Come in and enjoy!

"Okay Em..soo how do you do this jitterbug thing?" she said, smiling at him. You can do this. You can do this. She just had to keep repeating that to herself and she would be fine. Mind over matter. Thats all it was. If she thought she could jitterbug, then she could jitterbug!

Lucy twirled and began laughing. "Perfect Chris!" She said stepping. "They should totally hold a sock hop this year. Near the the end of term would be the perfect time to have it." Lucy said rock stepping. Side, Side, Rock Step. Side, Side TWIRL!

Yay! She was extremely proud of herself, she even got the rocking part. You can defiantly do this. It wasn't so hard. And she liked the rhythm to i. Step..step...step...rock step..and tw- "Ahhhh" she said, as she lost her balance on the twirl and fell to the ground. Annddd maybe you can't.

Emiliano offered his hand to Allie to help her up to her feet again. "Don't be disappointed...music, all in general is meant to be practiced again and again til perfection." He mentioned and smiled.

"How about we try those steps again?" He asked and they did it once more, taking care of the twirl. Let's see how that works now! Perfect it went. "See..." Emiliano said and smiled.

Mariel nodded slowly in almost-understanding as Professor Dumont answered her unvoiced questions. So a Sock Hop was what Muggles called it when they assembled to dance and a Poodle Skirt was some sort of strange Muggle fashion featuring a large picture of a dog on a skirt. She'd definitely have to take the mick out of Sarah for that last one. Heh.

And then she looked on in horror as people began dancing. She wasn't going to have to get paired up to do that, would she? The third year tried to shrink in her seat, doing her best to become invisible. Surely no one would see her scrunched down and sat in the back. Nope, she'd much rather listen than... what was this new machine Professor Dumont was now dragging out? Carry Okee? She wasn't sure she liked the sound of that and eyed it suspiciously before her green eyes flickered to the door as she wondered if she could sneak out early without anyone noticing. But then she'd have to miss out on the promised hamburgers and milkshakes...

Raiden grinned. Kiri had had fun dancing! He'd had fun too, so that was good. They'd both found something they enjoyed doing, then. The tapped his chin thoughtfully as he tried to figure out when they'd possibly be able to do it again.

"I wanna dance with you again," he said absently. "It was fun, I hope we get another chance to do it again soon."

His eyes followed the various students who were dancing to the music, doing karaoke, and whatever else struck their fancy at the moment. This class was by far one of the most interesting in the curriculum... last year they'd had a carnival, and now this! How fun.

"Oooh a slow song, Kiri!" he said, grinning. "You don't have to dance fast to this one, it's easy. Want to dance again?"

This was really would be a lot easier. It was just a twirl every so often and... well really, just wobbling back and forth, right?

Jane was amazed at how well Christian could sing. He definitely forgot to mention that to her when they were talking all this while. She felt like breaking into a few twirls on the spot, but she saw the longing in Christian's eyes that he would want the same thing too. To dance with Jane. She went up to him and grabbed his hand which wasn't occupied by the mic. She then whispered :

Christian flipped the switch so the music would play with voice. And put the mike down allowing Jane to pull him down. He pulled her to him and wrapped his arm around her waist taking her hand his cheek against her head. He began to dance with her slowly. He wanted to kiss her so badly and that was killing him.

Jane smiled even more. Christian was a much better dancer than she was. Something he had forgotten to tell her too. She was trying to not step on his foot but fails miserably. When they turned she kinda stepped on his left foot with his right, causing her to lose balance, a little. She quickly got herself up and giggled. She wanted to twirl. Like across the room, IF the Professor would allow...but she decided she won't, since she's bumping into things alot nowadays. She looked at Christian.

"So you dance and sing?"

Yayyy!!!I can dance!Jane smiled again, being thankful for signing up for Muggle Studies this year. And also for Professor Dumont to have dancing/singing lessons that were about the 50s, cause that was sooo Grease-like for Jane. She loved that movie. She wanted to twirl. She eyed the people around her, making sure there was enough space so she won't bring them down with her, if she does fall. She held her breath, stepped down from Christian's shoes, held his and her hand above their head and twirled. IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!!She twirled into Christian instead. She had no idea which way to turn, at all. She was never a dancer. She laughed and was a bit thankful that she didn't knock him over, cause that would be really embarrassing.

Chris smiled softly and picked her back up placing her on his feet. He held her tight and placed his cheek against her hair. He loved his silly girl so much and he just wanted to hold her. "Jane please just Dance with me."

Jane liked that idea alot right now. She told herself to just trust herself with Christian. She didn't want to risk falling and cracking her ankle or someone else's. Most of all, she just wanted to be with Christian, right there, learning how to dance...but actually, he's doing all the work. She smiled.

"Yes, love,"she said that in such a low whisper, she wondered if it was even audible to Christian.

Christian dipped her and pulled her back, he smiled brilliantly as he moved them around the room then lifted her by her waist and spun her around him. He stood her on his feet again holding her close. Then the music changed to handjive from Grease and he stood in front of her doing the moves perfectly.

Jane tried copying what Christian did, but looked like a lost chicken instead. She laughed but still not giving up. She bit her upper lip, looking quite determined to get the moves right. No one told her she didn't even get ONE move right. She tried anyway. This was wayyy too fun to skip.

Ruby sat down she watched the others dance it seemed strange to dance like that, but it must have been how the muggles had done it. she sat and finished her milkshake, her legs were swinging to the music but she was going to make sure that she knew the music before she danced

Jane had her mouth open. Wow, he CAN dance.How OLD is he? Christian danced away like a professional, while she stared at him. Her legs were locked to the floor. She finally managed 1/4 of the moves he taught her earlier and the song ended. She was dizzy and had blood flowing to her head. She was red, sweaty and still smiling, wider than ever. It was the most fun, she'd ever had, like EVER!! She locked arms with Christian as she made her way to the edge of the dancefloor to let other people dance and have fun. She wanted a milkshake after all that Shake-Shake-Shake!!

She seated Christian at the bench while she made her way to the milkshake! She came back with a giant chocolate milkshake with 2 straws sticking out of it. This was sooooo 50s. She put the milkshake on the table and smiled while she sat opposite him.
