She saw Thomas sit next to her "Hey Thomas, how are you?" Victoria started doodling on a piece of parchment. |
Vanessa liked Muggle studies, so the hufflepuff had a rather nice smile on her face as she entered the room. "Hello Professor." She spoke before she took a seat in the middle of the room. |
"I'm fine Vic just a bit tired I guess," said Thomas looking down at the table with his feather in his hand. Thomas was hoping that at this class he might be able to earn some house points. |
Antonio greeted all the students as they entered the classroom. Suddenly he remembered that the Slytherins had been forced to evacuate their common rooms due to some freak flooding incident or something to that effect. He smiled symphatically and said, "I have extra quills, parchment and textbooks for all of you who will need them because of the flooding incident which happened in the dungeons." He began to hand out the extra supplies to the Slytherin students who were there. "We'll get started in just a little while," he promised. "And thank you, Anna, for thinking about bringing extra textbooks, if we have a lot of people who need them I could run out, so I appreciate that," he said. "I believe I've got enough extra quills and parchment to go around, I've got some stored in the back." |
"Hey Satine! I was wondering, have you seen Jule recently?" Sivad asked, knowing Jule wouldn't skip a lesson for her life. |
She looked at Thomas and he looked tired, she didn't want Thomas to see that she was doodling love hearts. |
The mundane chatter from the other students floated through Cailtin's ears and she couldn't help but over-hear some of the things the Slytherin students were saying. Incident? What incident are they talking about? Turning around slightly in her chair, she raised an eyebrow hoping that someone might shed some light on the mystery. And thank Merlin there was another Hufflepuff in the class. Caitlin nodded in the girls direction, offering a friendly smile. |
Dagobert slumped into class still feeling rather grumpy about what had happened earlier. It did not make his mood any better when he spotted Dem in one the seats. Quickly, he said a low greeting to the professor and found a seat far away from her. He was not ready to face Dem yet; he had to get his cool back first. He took his parchment and quills out, all brand new and put his head in hands while he observed the class. There seemed to be quite a few Ravenclaws. Typical, he thought to himself. His mother had told him how studious they were. He was not particularly looking forward to this class either since he found the whole idea of Muggle Studies pointless. Being half muggle, he found that part his life quite boring compared to his magical side. He sighed and waited until class began. |
Oh she'd made it in time.Muggle Studies was her favourite lesson, and Professor Dumont was her favourite teacher so this was a class she didn't want to miss. With all that had been going on lately, though, her brain was slightly frazzled. Making her way to a vacant seat Sarah sat down and smiled at Dumont. "Hello Professor, nice to see you.Hope you had a good summer." |

Sarah smiled she saw Professor Dumont. "How are you, Professor?" She asked as she looked around the room and saw they were doing about music in the from the 50's, she giggled as she tried to think about all the things that she had learned. "Professor, this seems like it will be an interesting lession." She smiled. |
Ash excitedly walked into the classroom and sat down in a seat. "The 50's? She thought taking out her quill and parchment. "Hello Professor" she said looking back at the board |
Step by step...Emiliano walked into the Muggle Studies classroom. He was excited. And when he saw the board...Baby!! He went crazy. He loved music, and yeah...Rock 'n' Roll was his hit at dancing...at least he thought. Hehe... "Good day, Professor Dumont..." He greeted and went to sit to the nearest place possible. A smile just spread across his face and he couldn't wait til class to start....Whee!! |
Mariel crept into the classroom quietly so as not to be noticed and took a seat in the back. She had never taken Muggle Studies, but after learning a bit about Muggle culture from Sarah the thought of learning more intrigued the third year. Even she had to admit that Muggles often came up with good and interesting ideas. Not that she thought she'd do particularly well in this class - although Sarah may be able to help with that - but true to her Ravenclaw nature, she was curious and had some overwhelming urge to learn more... and to take as many classes as possible. Of course she'd have to speak with Professor Dumont about something specific after class... actually, now that she thought of it, she probably should have spoken to him before class started. Not having a textbook - maybe she'd get one of those later if she decided to continue with this class after seeing what it was all about - Mariel pulled out a piece of parchment and her self-inking quill in preparation of taking notes. As she waited for class to begin, her green eyes scanned the front of the room, landing on the large picture the professor presumably hung up - one full of all those non-moving pictures. She briefly wondered what Rock 'n' Roll meant then noticed the numbers written which she assumed were dates and inwardly groaned. This was one of the reasons she was not fond of History of Magic - not caring to learn about old people centuries older than her... but maybe it would prove to be interesting. |
"It is a good day to be a Ravenclaw or a Gryffindor, huh?" Plymouth grinned and leaned up to peer over Anna's shoulder. "High up in our towers. No chance of flooding there." Plymouth remained leaning forward in his seat, checking out everyone that was in class today. "Professor D kind of seems like he needs a hug, huh? Think I should offer?" |
Sitting quietly at the back of the room, George wondered if he'd made the right decision to sit there. He took a small breath and leant back in his chair. Not wanting to draw attention to himself, he put his things on the desk quickly and quietly. George sat there, looking up at professor Dumont, waiting for the lesson to begin. |
Melanie entered the Muggle studies classroom lugging her bag along with her and promptly plopped down at a seat in front of the room. She liked this subject, because for one it was one of the easiest and two because the professor wasn't evil. In fact she'd rather liked his lessons in the past, especially the final last year. Melanie listened to him talk, not minding so much the lack of house points being given out because he had said he was giving out gold stars and they sounded preeeetty. But that wasn't what stuck out in her mind most, ooooohh no, it was the fact that he was going to be giving out SURPRISES and GOODIES. She could already taste the chocolate frog on her lips. MmmmHhmmmm |
Laura was sitting at the side of the room, looking somewhat expectant, however a little aprehensive. She'd grown up in the muggle world, so how was Muggle Studies ever gonna help her? Maybe it'd be a different perspective of the whole Muggles Way of Surviving Without Magic thing. Or maybe, it'd just be everything she already knew, posted in a different light. Hey, weren't they just basicly the same thing? Laura thought. However, she tried to rephase it, the Ravenclaw couldn't get to grips with the idea. Oh well, maybe I'll be good at this class. Sighing, she looked at the Professor, and waited patiently for the class to start. |

Mj :) Sarah turned round in her seat slightly to reach her bag from the floor. It was while doing this that she noticed Mariel sat near the back of the class.Hmmmm she must have snuck in when I wasn't looking! Maybe my Muggleness has made her want to learn. Putting her hand up Sarah gave her friend a smile and small wave of greeting. She then got out the necessary items from her bag..parchment,quill and textbook..and placed them on the desk, scribbling "'Rock & Roll'" at the top. Her mum loved that sort of music so Sarah had listened to a fair bit,she just hoped that she knew the answers to stuff.Getting a star for their work was so much like what she used to get at her muggle school. |

Rhea sat In the Muggle Studies classroom with her head on the desk. She tapped the point of her quill on the desk while waiting for the class to start. No matter how hard she tried she just couldn't shake the thought of the flood water out of her head. What if the HufflePuff common room was next? She had already water proofed her books but really didint fancy getting flooded out. |
Chris walked into the room. YES!!! Music ha ha this should be an amazingly awsome class. "Hi Professor." He said as he walked and took a set. He was so excited he couldn't wait for class to start. |
Antonio looked around and saw the classroom was filling up, which was great. "Welcome, everyone," he said. "We're going to be talking about a subject dear to my heart today, which is rock and roll. But more specifically, we're going to be exploring the very beginning of rock and roll, to find out more about its roots. Please refer to your textbook for any help you might need. If you need a textbook, I have them at the front of the room. Some of the things we'll be covering are in that textbook, but there may be other things we will cover which are not in that textbook. In any case, I think you are all going to find this lesson interesting! He smiled. ooc: If you show up after class starts, please don't make an announcement to that effect or I will be forced to deduct points. Just pretend you were here the whole time. And don't worry, you will be able to catch up! |
Oh, this sucked. So there'd be no house points and she was stuck here listening to Anna's try hard antics and Plymouth's jokes about their misfortune. Oh, how fun. NOT! But Evangeline knew that if it had been the Claws' Common Room, Morgan would just go running back to Momma. That was why she was quiet. But Emily - oh boy, Emily totally PWNed the Ravenclaw and for a moment, Evangeline even forgot that Emily and her weren't exactly friends - for some reason. Unable to keep it in and not bothering with hiding it, Evangeline snickered rather loudly, innocently looking at the textbook Dumont had offered them. "One can only hope, they say.." |
