Grace now knew how it was to be alone in Hogsmeade. Seeing another girl sitting alone, she approached and greeted "Hey." She thought she remembered her from somewhere, except that they were going to same school. She looked like a firstie as well. She saw her probably in Ollivander's or somewhere.

Irial glanced down when she interlaced their fingers and smiled kindly. They were just friends, nothing was meant by it. He squeezed her hand and nodded at her. "Alright, Honeydukes sounds good. And yeah..." he glanced around, wondering where said motor mouth was. "Aries would probably like that. I wonder if he's not off flirting with a bunch of girls?"

He pushed the thought out of his mind, deciding not to worry about his brother. "Let's get going to Honeydukes before all the good candy's taken, Rhea," he said smiling down at her.

"Hello there," said Trixie beaming up at her. Finally she had someone to talk to. Hmm...she seemed strangley familiar. "I'm Trixie and you are...sorry it just seems that I have met you before," she said whilst shrugging. Maybe she had seen her in the sorting ceromony. Trixie felt a little happier now that she was absorbed in a conversation-well almost.

Finally, Grace was meeting more people, who weren't from Slytherin. Hmm... Trixie her name was? No... only her face was familiar. "I'm Grace." she said. "Yes, I think I know you from somewhere too. Well, never mind. Now I officially know you." she smiled.

Calm? Calm? There was a chance she could get candy - something she hadn't been given since halfway through her first year! How could she calm down? Well, at least it seemed Julie wasn't going to try and limit her -- too much, that was.

'Overboard? I honestly assure you I don't know what overboard is,' she lied smoothly, already planning on how to get much more than Julie would know. After all, Mina loved candy - it was practically the only thing she wasn't afraid to admit love of.

She shook Julie's hand. 'Fair enough,' she echoed.

Divad looked around for Jule. He was still upset with himself and felt used.

Jule stretched as she walked out into the street. She stuffed her hand in her pocket and ate a licorice wand. Jule looked at her feet and saw that always walked on her tip toes. Her family had told her this but she thought she had grown out of it. "Ehh. Oh well." she muttered.

"So, where do you wanna go?" Divad said.

"How about the Three Broomsticks?" she said. Jule held his hand and pulled him towards the shop.

"Okay." divad said, feeling Jule pulling on him.

Juliet raised her eyebrow, pratically sensing Mina's thoughts. She whispered to her, Remember. Your not the only candy lover here who was once on restrictions. She shook her hand and continued to walk. Now. How much money you got? Julie shook her pockets that jangled with unused coins.

She grinned. 'It's just such an exciting prospect!' she whispered back. 'I've been banned from candy - oh, God, I hope Xy doesn't follow us,' she added, glancing back to the younger girl. If Xy followed and saw Mina buying candy, no doubt it would get around to Jake and she'd be grounded for life.

She slipped her hand into her bag, jingling her purse lightly. 'I'd estimate about thirty galleons - of course, none of it mine.' She laughed. 'Guess there's an advantage to annoying cousins - tell them if they pay you you'll stop being annoying.'

Julie's eyes crinkled with silent laughter, When Mary, the headmistress you know, found out about my obsession with chocolate she put me on restriction. One piece a week. Talk about torture. She saw Mina look behind them and asked, Who's Xy?


31 galleons and 42 sickles for me. She brought out a coin and looked at it then at Mina, Who ever said money can't buy happiness, never had an obsession with candy.

Smirking, Evolette pretended to be put out. "No booboo kisses for me either. How sad. I was rather looking forward to it." she teased, nudging his arm innocently with her elbow.

Wow. Lots of questions at once. Evolette chewed on her lip as she thought of each one, "Let's see.... Potions, and Charms. Bunbury is quite amusing. My least favorite would be.... Ancient Runes. I like animals, only if they are the cute and cuddly kind, and not icky bugs. Or spiders. Bananas are yummy."

There. That answered all of his questions, right? "And you?"

Mina stifled a laugh. One piece a week? That had to be worse than none at all. 'I feel sorry for you,' she said sympathetically. 'Must be bad - you get a taste of something gorgeous and then aren't allowed any more.' Ooh, how horrid it must be! Mina was glad her mother had simply said "no more" and her uncle had tried (and failed) to enforce that.

She pulled a face, jerking her head back to the girl she'd glared at earlier. 'One of the two annoying cousins I was trying to escape from,' she explained. 'She's my uncle's daughter - one of them - and blabs to him about everything. If she follows me and sees what I'm doing, my uncle will find out and I'll be grounded again.' She winced. 'Last time it was because I snuck out after midnight - I got grounded for a month for trying to go to the twenty four hour store and get candy.'

She nodded vehemently. 'Very, very true.' She wrapped her hand fondly around the few loose coins at the very bottom of her bag - Muggle coins, but oh well. They could stay there. 'I'll find that person and bash their head against a stack of brought candy and tempt them to eat it. That'll make them regret it.' She giggled again.

seeing that Grace waved back Lyra stepped towards her. "hey" she said and looked at the other students that where now sitting with her and smiled at them. "can i sit here too?" she asked and shivered a little because of the wind.

Irial walked outside with Rhea with his bags and looked around. "I've been to Hogsmeade before, just never any of the shops. It's not my thing, crowds." He looked around; it was getting busier and busier every moment. He frowned and turned to Rhea.

"So where's the Three Broomsticks?" he asked, sneaking into one of the bags he was holding and grabbing a Sugar Quill. He ripped off the wrapper and began sucking on it.

Oh. So Lyra didn't ignore her! She just didn't realised Grace's wave-back while talking to Sydney. She was really happy. So she wasn't the 'not-wanted' one. This relieved her. "Sure sure, come." she said cheerfully. This day wasn't bad at all...

Kiri ambled slowly through Hogsmeade's inaptly named Main Street, Raiden by her side. The timing for the students' first visit to the little wizarding village couldn't have been better. It was late September now, and still warm and sunny enough to enjoy the trip from Hogwarts to Hogsmeade, although the trees were full of dead leaves now, and there was a tinge of autumn in the light breeze.

She and Raiden had traded light conversation for the entire walk, about lessons and homework and the Quidditch try-outs Raiden had attended and... Oh, a lot of other stuff. Tingly feelings had failed to materialise, Kiri wasn't sure if she was glad to enjoy a normal talk or disappointed because her brain didn't feel like it had been hit by lightning. They hadn't held hands or anything, either.
There wasn't really anything Kiri wanted to do in Hogsmeade, other than make the most of the change of scenery and maybe have a butterbeer with Raiden, but she eyed the colourful shop windows nonetheless as they passed them at their gentle pace.

When they passed Honeydukes, however, Kiri did remember something. The chocolate she and Hayley had had a few days ago... She made a mental note to check in later, before they returned to the castle, and see if they had that particular brand. "Hmmm Raiden," he said quietly, the sweet shop falling behind. "Anything in particular you want to do?"

Smiling that it was ok, Lyra sat down on the bench and grabbed her bag. "ooh i just bought a few ice mice want some?" she asked and showed her the bag filled with ice mice and chocolate frogs. She didn't dare give her the chocolate for she knew she was allergic to it. "Its a amazing village isn't it?" she asked while looking around. Smiling a little Lyra said. "watch this" and she flicked her wand out of her wrist holster and secretly pointed it at a woman walking by. "expelliarmus" she said and the wand fell out of the womans pocket. Grinning a little she looked at Grace. "cool spell huh? i learned it two days ago." Quickly picking up the wand Lyra walked to the woman and gave back her wand and sat down beside Grace again.

Julie nodded, You have no idea. She groaned just remembering it. It had been the worst time ever. Then Mary had decided that Julie had had enough punishment and let her have chocolate. Of course Julie ate three pounds and spent the next two days utterly sick.

Your cousin huh? How old? She looked for the girl but couldn't find her, She must be in hiding. She rolled her eyes to Mina.

Now now Mina. No head bashing in mandated. If we believe then they start to already regret it. Julie snorted. What is it about you that is so, whats the word, um, intriquing? She grinned at Mina.

Mina's lips twitched suspiciously again. 'And you pigged out when you got food back?' she guessed. 'What are we going to do with you?' She shook her head in mock exasperation.

She winced again. 'Eleven and in Ravenclaw.' She turned to glance back at Xy - only to find this time she couldn't spot the younger girl. 'She's taller than me though, so she uses that to get on my nerves.' Evil. Cousins. Must. Die. That was the way Mina thought. Briar? Yeah, Briar she could stand, but the other twin ... she shuddered. 'You don't know the meaning of the word "irritating" until you become a member of my family, whether blood or marital.'

She pouted. 'I'm so willing to bash their heads as well,' she whined. 'Well ... if that's the case I'll just blow all my money on sweets and be happy for ... for ... however long I can be happy for with as many pieces I'm going to buy.' She stuck her tongue out at thin air like the idiot she sometimes reverted to. This was the Mina she had been years ago.

She shrugged, not knowing the answer as she loosely pulled her long hair into a plait and let it hang over her shoulder. 'The fact I'm basically a freak?' she offered. 'I'm tiny but have a big attitude. I say I can be really evil and cold but then I'm nothing but nice.' She shrugged. 'Besides - there's something around you that makes me revert to my eight year old self.' She laughed; Lord, her cheeks were beginning to hurt, and her throat!

'I want candy,' she chimed, turning to cross the last of the trek to Honeydukes. She turned back just long enough to wink. 'You coming?'

Raiden was in a right state. His brain had been barely following their conversation, his body moving automatically forward, half a step behind Kiri. His and Celandine's conversation was still circling his fuzzy mind. He wasn't allergic to them, but... he liked them? It still didn't feel completely right, but... it made sense. It explained why his allergies mirrored what Miss Kayla had told him, at the very least.

His hands were itchy.

"Uhm," he said distractedly, trying to focus on what she was saying. Anything he wanted to do? Nothing really in particular had entered his mind except to avoid that Madame Puddifoot's place. There was a lot of pink in there, and a lot of people getting all... like like at each other, and right now Raiden's brain wouldn't be able to handle that. Actually, were they to encounter a loving couple on the road this very minute, he just might explode into little bits. "Nothing really... was there anything you wanted to do?"

Being around Kiri, while more comfortable than being around Celandine (who's very presence and absentminded hand-grabbing still induced fire in his veins), was still slightly... worrisome in his head. He hadn't yet told her that he wasn't allergic to her, and he was slightly suspicious that she knew he wasn't allergic to her. But when he had tried to tell her earlier, the words hadn't come to his lips and instead he'd mumbled something about the weather being nice today and asking about the ants in her bag.

Kiri's brow furrowed. She was vaguely aware that something was off in Raiden's voice, and, by extension, with Raiden himself, but she couldn't put her finger on it, possibly because it was her whole hand that wanted to grab him. What was going on? And why did they have to pass Madame Puddifoot's now?!
Just two months ago, before the start of term in fact, Raiden and her had got along just fine, a little stiffly and awkwardly maybe, but the bottom line being a workable relationship. And now everything was so... complicated. Not knowing what to say (although Kiri wasn't a great orator in any case), or... or feeling like tiny faeries were tickling her spine...

In a way, it was very frustrating. Why, thought Kiri, is there no class at Hogwarts that teaches us how boys work! That would be a useful thing to know! On the other hand, she was pretty sure that everything else, like the tingling feelings, more than made up for the fact that she had no idea what was happening. Or what was going to happen.

But Kiri had no intention of letting their Hogsmeade visit turn into a complicated sort of issue. She was going to concentrate on normality for now, and sooner or later their conversation would naturally veer towards in-depth discussions on Raiden's and her feelings! (Right.)
"Well," she said, keeping her voice level. "I was going to buy some chocolate, maybe, but we can do that later. How about we get a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks?"

Snap out of it, right now! Raiden's brain commanded. After all, how long would it take her to realise that he wasn't exactly all there? She was smart, after all... Taking a deep breath, Raiden shook his head and rubbed his eyes, trying to mentally wake himself up.

"Butterbeer sounds good right now," he said softly, glancing at Kiri and catching a glance of what looked like dissatisfaction on her face. She had noticed him blanking out, hadn't she... Sigh. "Sorry, I'm just... a bit distracted, I forgot about doing my Muggle Studies homework and was trying to figure out when I'd have time to get it done." He grinned at her. "Let's go get butterbeer, yeah?"
