"Pffff. I have a little sister now. She still blows spit bubbles and gurgles, but I know that whole protective thing. Are they the type that would punch me in the face?" Like Tobi Avalon. Or Maddox. "Just for being out with you?"

Oh but then she went and forgot that stepbrother of Plymouth's. And though it was mean, and Plymouth DID feel bad, he couldn't help but laugh. "Knew you thought I was cuter. Won't be forgetting this brother."

Heh. Heh. Heh.

"Just for being out with me?" she repeated, thinking carefully. "No. Not unless you did something particularly stupid." Like Terry. Preston never liked Terry, she used to think it was just on principle, until he broke her heart.

"That doesn't mean they're not protective of me, but still, they wouldn't do anything rash." she added, shrugging.

Holding up both of her hands, Evolette sighed, "Okay, you've got it. You are the cuter brother. You win!" Yaaaaay. Happy dance.

Funnily enough, that is what Cope told her the first time they met. Plymouth was the cuter brother.

"What I think is stupid and what THEY think is stupid ... well it never really lines up. Sometimes I wish everyone saw things my way, but I guess that would be boring." It was true though. What Plymouth found to be perfectly acceptable wasn't always so warmly embraced.


"I'm only playing about all that," But Plymouth LIKED to hear he was cuter anyway. It was like the only thing he could beat Copernicus at. "I mean, I like to pretend that you'd chose me, but that whole thing," choosing a brother thing, "is.... messed up."

Plymouth picked up one of his hands to wave it around, as if to bat away the conversation and topic.

Agreeing, Evolette tried to rephrase her words, "What they would think is stupid." So, therefore, you wouldn't know if it was stupid or not, until you got called out for it.

Hmmmm.

Pretend that she would choose him? She would choose him. Cope was a cool dude, but Evolette would pick Plymouth over him any day. "You were the one who brought it up." she reminded him, grabbing his hand as he waved it about. "Besides, there's no pretending about it." she added, "I would choose you."

And that would be her last word on the subject, if that was what he wanted.

"A picnic? That sounds nice. Would I be able to bring my brother Joshua? He likes picinics." Marcus smiled at her from across the table. He missed his youngest brother quite a lot, he was his best friend.

He watched as she tried the ganache and the next thing he knew she was very close to him, with the piece of cake right in his face. Marcus, looked up at her a slow smile spreading across his face as he opened his mouth.

Unfortunately just as she was placing the cake into his open mouth, two kids made a scene in the shop and he jumped at the sound of the slamming door and unconsciously bit down on Less' finger. Marcus, quickly pulled his head back, "Oh Less, I am so sorry." He took hold of her finger with his hand and studied it for a moment. "I don't think I broke the skin" he murmured still looking at her finger.

"Of course, it's a family picnic..." she said smiling, but that smile quickly became a painful grimace. She pulled her hand away from him and looked at the bite. "No, you are right, you didn't break the skin." That was sooooo the last time she was going to feed anyone... Had he broken the skin... She just didn't want to think about it, then again... She smiled gently, "You kind of have wolfish features already... have you bitten a werewolf before?"

"You don't have to say that," Plymouth, despite how bad it made him feel, was looking all together too pleased, "but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy hearing it.... hehe." Plymouth liked to be liked and lately he'd just felt... unliked.... by all the important people.

And then the dessert came! It was some big sundae that spewed chocolate and sprinkles like a volcano. Oh boy. With two spoons, no less.

Perfect. Plymouth grinned across the table and let Evolette's hands go. "Ladies first."

Evolette shrugged, "I know Plymouth." He obviously had not known her long enough yet to know that she never said something that she didn't want to. She never did something that she found to be a waste of time. She was selfish in many ways, and so, if she did say it, it was because what she thought, and not what she thought he wanted to hear.

Oh wow. That was a rather large.....pile of ice cream.

When Plymouth let go of her hands, she reached for one of the spoons, scraping it along the side of the large mess and then popping it into her mouth. Yum.

Plymouth grinned and watched. He was having a GOOD time - more fun than he even thought he would. Which was saying something because Plymouth always planned on having fun. "Good?" Plymouth twirled his spoon through his fingers, not really wanting to take any of the parts she was wanting. He would have been happy just watching her have a good time.

She tapped his spoon with hers, "If you think I am going to eat this all by myself, you're crazy."

Although, if he dared her to, she would. But, this was their date, not a county fair.

"All right, it's your turn to tell me stuff. Unless you need to hear more stuff from me first."

Plymouth dipped his spoon in and and hogged the sprinkles. He was a sprinkles kind of boy. "What sorts of stuffs you wanting to know? Like, my birthday is May 21st.. I really like the color red. I used to live in a tent and plan on doing that again after I get out of here. Garlic gives me hives."

Yes, all very important things.

"You feeling enlightened? Hehe." Plymouth grinned. "Your turn."

"Very." Evolette chuckled. Enlightened wasn't exactly the right word for his last sentence though.

"Hmmm." She scraped her spoon along the edge of a rather large mountain of whipped cream, "I have a twin sister, a birthmark in the shape of a strawberry, which is rather odd, because I am allergic to strawberries, and a kitten named Muffin."

Scooping up the strawberry ice cream, she pushed it over to Plymouth's side, and arched an eyebrow, "Your turn, again?"

"A twin sister? As in identical?? How am I supposed to know it's YOU?" And where was sister?? Plymouth had met a man at one of the many fairs that thought he was seven different people - at once. Plymouth gave Evolette the 'uh oh' look. Was she craaaaazy? Not that Plymouth had cared. He had loved all seven people that lived in the crazy man. He'd love Evolette and her "twin" too.


"I might have to see the birthmark in order to identify you. Hehe."


Plymouth made some mental notes about the kitten and strawberries: No berries and bring tuna on next date. If there would be a next date. Hmm.

"Identical. Yes, except, she has blonde hair, and I quite obviously do not." That which, she was VERY happy about. "Besides, we've got quite different personalities. She's not nearly as likeable as I am."

Pressing her lips together tightly, it was all Evolette could do NOT to giggle up a storm when Plymouth decided he needed to see her birthmark. Ummmmmm... "Well, maybe some day." was all she said to that, shoving a spoonful into her mouth so that the giggles didn't erupt.

Oh dear.

"Uh huh," Plymouth raised an eyebrow to Evolette. "Blond hair, you say? Where do you suppose she is right now?" Different personalities, huh? Yeah... Plymouth had seen this before.

Interesting....

"What's her name? I think I should get to decide which of you I think is.. you know, cuter. Since me and ole Pernipants were in a competition."

Rolling her eyes, Evolette shrugged, "I don't know, at home probably. Or maybe she's on a date with a manly, rugged Ravenclaw man." Snort. Did Plymouth really think she was making her sister up?

HAH.

She saw that one coming a mile away. "Her name is Octavia, but mostly everyone calls her Tavie. Maybe one day, you can meet her, and decide for yourself which of us is cuter, but I for one, am confident that I would win."

Mmhmmm.

Plymouth raised his eyebrows to that. "Really? Like... like.. I could come to your house - hypothetically speaking, I mean, I'm not inviting myself over - and meet your family? There's not rules against that?"


This was important to Plymouth Morgan. He even paused in his sprinkle-thieving to listen and watch Miss McKenna.

"Sure you could." Evolette replied, slightly confused as to why it seemed to be so important that they get that straight. Her dad probably wouldn't even be there, and even if he was, he wouldn't mind. And her mother, she would adore meeting him. She would probably want to put him on a cupcake too.

"Plymouth. We're friends." she added, smiling. "My friends are always allowed to come home with me." Evolette bringing a boy home to meet her family would raise a few eyebrows though. Seeing as she never really took Terry home. They would probably think that she and Plymouth were more than friends. At least at first.

"My friends are always welcome home, too. Always. Kayla came to see me over the summer. And again at Christmas. You could come, too. My mum.. she'll just eat you up. I can hear her now, batting at you and going on and on about how pretty you are." Plymouth grinned. "Would you tell my mum you already knew how pretty you were? I bet she'd laugh at that."


Much like Plymouth enjoyed her confidence.

"If you think it would make her laugh, then I would." she replied, tucking her hair behind her ear absently. Truth be told, she probably would have said that, even if Plymouth had not brought it up.

"And what about your father? Step-father?" Evolette continued, wrinkling her nose a little bit at the confusion. "Would he approve as well?" she'd not heard Plymouth mention Cope's Father at all, so, she was slightly curious.

Marcus leaned forward on the table coming in very close to Less. So close that one would say he was invading her personal space. "No Less, you would be my...first" he gave her a wink as he picked up a delicious looking piece of cheesecake. "Can I tempt you?" he asked holding the cheesecake out to her.

"Oh... I don't have one fo those. I mean, I'm sure I do somewhere, but..," Plymouth shrugged. "Albert though, he's pretty cool. I'm pretty sure he has no idea how to talk to me so he just buys me things and nods and stuff, but he tries. I reckon he talks to me more than Copernicus." Plymouth shrugged again. Oh!! WIth a grin, Plymouth leaned forward, his face nearly into their ridiculous sundae. "He bought me a motorbike." Oh yeah, he did. Be dazzled, Evolette McKenna, be dazzled, because Plymouth Glen Morgan on his motorbike was cool, and he knew it.

He certainly was charming. "You can..." and should... She leaned forward and took the piece in her mouth. The creamy piece melted on her tongue. Madame Puddifoot's cakes were the best in the wizarding world. She swallowed and smiled. "This must be what it feels like to be Aphrodite and eat ambrosia." She giggled and whiped her mouth. "I think maybe a little tea is in order... would you care for some?"

He watched her as she placed the cheesecake into her mouth and popped a piece into his own mouth and let it melt on his tongue as he continued to watch her. "Tea would be lovely." Marcus, lent back in his chair and stretched out his legs making himself comfortable. "So tell me more about yourself Less."

"Well, I adore sweets... as you can tell." She said after placing the order for a pot of Hazelnut Cream Tea. "You know I'm a lycan... lets see... you know my Godfather is the potions master..." Maybe he didn't... well... now he did. "I'm in hiding from an ex fiancee..." she said thinking that may be something interesting about herself, "though I think he's no longer looking for me."
