Evolette smirked.

"That's because I do know something that you don't know." she replied slowly. Lots of things that he didn't know. About her, and about other people too. But she wasn't sharing. Not yet anyway.

"I'm sure you know things that I don't know as well." she added, after a moment. The tip of her finger continued down one line, and then onto the next one. She was surprised that it hadn't made him giggle yet. Let's face it. Plymouth Morgan giggled a LOT.

"It's Less." She said smiling, "You are indeed correct." She said sipping the water that was on the table in front of her. "I'm certainly glad you are enjoying it. It's a lot better than the school I was at before now, even with the flooding. At least it's not the students, but other causes." She added.

"Oh and where was it that you taught before Hogwarts...Less?" Marcus, gave her a cheeky grin and poured them both a cup of tea. Merlin, he loved Puddifoot's tea. He also wanted to ask her what the deal was with the old man but he decided that could wait for another time. It was then what she had said sunk in and he raised an eyebrow. "What makes you say the flooding is from other sources?" He knew that no student had anything to do with it but he would like to hear Less' opinions.

"I know all sorts of things. Like, how to cook beans without my wand. And, I'm remarkably good at getting things for free. And... I know that glowworms prefer to juicy fruits." People just didn't ask Plymouth enough questions. He was really full of useful knowledge.


Wait for it...


"Hehe." Plymouth flipped his hand over and caught hers. He put her hand where his was and it was HIS turn to trace her fingers. Plymouth gave Evolette the your turn look.

"Final Academy." She said and shrugged, "And before that, Beauxbatons..." She added. I don't believe any of our students are enjoying these living arrangements... and I can't in good conscience believe these kids have an evil bone in their bodies." And she took the tea sipping it gently.

Shaking her head, Evolette chuckled. Her knowledge of things wasn't as....random as his, but that didn't matter. Plymouth was, without a doubt, the most random boy she knew.

It was refreshing though. Boys were such drama for her lately. She didn't want more drama, and Plymouth made her laugh.

"The things I know, are mostly about people." she added, watching as he caught her hand. It appeared to be her turn. She pressed her lips together, as his finger grazed her palm. Ack. It did tickle.

He of course had heard of both schools even though he had never actually seen them. "Not your cup of tea then? I taught at the Australian Institute of Wizardry and the most exciting thing that happened there was when the house elves accidentally burnt the dinner once and still no-one really blinked an eye."

Marcus, nodded in agreement as she spoke of the kids at Hogwarts. "Nor do I. There are quite a few mischief makers but they have neither the knowledge nor the capability of pulling something like this off. Believe me I have seen their wand work" he chuckled as he took a sip of his tea. "So have you always been a Professor?"

"I like people. Big ones, small ones, short ones, and tall. Everyone's got a little bit of good in them somewhere, you know?" Plymouth leaned forward over the table and picked up her hand to LOOK at the lines on her palm. He was so sure Kapoor could probably figure some serious stuffs out about Evolette from her palm - but all Plymouth was getting was that she had pretty nails and good smelling lotion.

"Nope... I started out as an intern at St. Mungos... but... well..." she needed to be honest... he was the DADA Professor after all... "I suffer from Lycanthropy, and that didn't bode well for the Healer lifestyle... after that I wrote muggle romance novels... some wizard ones too..."

He let out a low hiss from between his teeth. "That really infuriates me you know. The way people are prejudice against those that are different, I mean it's not like you asked for it." Marcus, shook his head in disgust at the gall of some people, that was something that had never bothered him. "I'm glad that you didn't let it get to you though. I must say you cover it well, I would never have guessed and I have been around quite a few Lycanthropes." He looked across the table at her and gave her a reassuring smile. "I take it not a lot of people know? Don't worry, I don't plan on telling anyone." It was after all, her story to tell and certainly not his.

"Very few know... though I don't make it a secret." She said. "The headmaster knows, Professor Kazimeriz, Iliana, and now yourself." She said shrugging. "They weren't prejudice, I just couldn't cut it." She said nodding.

"Well I'm glad that you are so open about." Marcus, took another sip of his tea and then put his cup down as a thought came to him and he leaned forward, placing his elbows onto the table. "You know I was thinking of doing a class Lycanthropy next term. Would you be interested in giving a talk to the students?"

"Telling the students?" That she wasn't too keen on... "May I think about it a little? Before saying something I may regret later."

"Looking for something specific, Mr. Morgan?" Evolette inquired, leaning closer to look at her own hand. "What do the lines say?"

Hmmmm. Evolette McKenna had lines. Who knew?

She sort of wished that she'd paid more attention in that one class.....Divination. Yeah.

"Oh I do apologise Less. I didn't mean to upset you, I thought that when you said that you were open about it..."Marcus trailed off and groaned softly. It seems as though he had put his foot in it again.

"Oh no Marcus," she said smiling and reaching over to touch his hand. "I am open... but they are children, and may not understand... I would be fine. But some kids would be frightened of me 24/7..." She smiled kindly, "Believe me, you did not upset me. I'm very flattered. Let me think about it... please?" she squeezed his hand for re-enforcement.

"My mum is a little better at this than me," Plymouth considered. He lowered his head and.. sniffed her hand a little. She just smelled GOOD. "But..I think this one is saying you'll meet a manly rugged Ravenclaw and have the best date EVER with him." MMhmm. Plymouth nodded innocently.

Ooooooh Plymouth.

Evolette giggled, "Oh really?" she asked, pretending that what he said wasn't totally outrageous. "Well then, I suppose it must be fate. I do hope he comes around soon." she added, tossing a glance over both of her shoulders. Looking for her Ravenclaw in shining armor.

Turning back to Plymouth, she gave him a teasing smile, her free hand squeezing his and then pushing it flat, so that she could torture explore his lines as well.

Because that won't be confusing at ALL.

Plymouth scoffed at her. Really? She was looking over her shoulder? REALLY? He was right here!! He made little growly noises at her, but clearly was playing.


"For that, I'm not getting you dessert."


MMHMM. Take that, Pretty Girl.

..

"Hehe."

Giggling again, Evolette was highly amused by Plymouth. Gah. He made even dull things funny. Not that their date was dull. Far from it really.

"Oh yes you will." she continued, fingering the line that she was now looking at. "See? It's right here. Your lines tell me that you just can't resist me." A smirk appeared once more as she looked up from his hand, and back to his face.

"I like that growling, by the way." she added, chuckling.

He nodded his head at her. "Yes this is very true, I sometimes forget what it's like to be so young" he said and placing his free hand over hers. "Take all the time you need Less, it was just an idea." Marcus, realised belatedly that this might not actually look good, the two of them sitting there holding hands. Not that he cared, they were friends after all but the kids seemed to always twist things around. He squeezed her hand in return and then gently pulled them back towards him.

Just then the waitress bought over their tasting plate and he gave Less a wink. "Ladies first" he said pushing the plate towards her. "So what plans do you have for the summer Less?"

"That?" Plymouth bent down to see that spot she was on about. "That? Why... that's just a freckle. A freckle, silly."

"Hehe."

Plymouth pulled both his hands back and balled them up into fists. THen, they went under his chin and his elbows propped on the table. "You might... maybe... can earn your dessert back though. Maybe."

Growl.

Evolette was about to protest, and confirm that the line she was looking at was indeed a line, when Plymouth snatched his hands away.

Pout.

"Hmmm." she mused, "And how shall I go about doing that?" she asked, arching an eyebrow. A few things came to mind, but, she pressed her lips together, waiting to see what Plymouth would say.

Plymouth stared at her bottom lip like it was flashing red lights at him. "That," Plymouth unwrapped a pinky to point at her lip. "That's dangerous. That might win your dessert back.. all on its own."


What.... else she'd asked him, Plymouth did not know. It wasn't a wibble, but it wasn't far from it. Plymouth Morgan would have climbed mountains with back hair for rope or crossed oceans on a prayer for a particular wibble. This pout thing... was similar.

The truth be told, Evolette really wasn't worried about winning back anything. It was the challenge that got her. It was like Plymouth was telling her to prove him wrong, and she wanted to win.

But, the look on his face told her that she should abandon the pout. And fast. There was no reason for her to be digging at a still fresh wound by using the very same pout that she had taught to his ex-girlfriend.

Hooking her pinky finger around his, Evolette got an idea.

"I'll thumb wrestle you for it." she said, smirking.

Guys liked that, right? Sure. Why not? Plus, she was sure she could win. Mhmmm.
