*Gabben ordered them drinks and then smirked.*
"Oh yes, Hufflepuff will get the cup this year-"
*He spun around hearing an old voice he hadn't heard in ages.*
"Kayla? Is that you?!"

''Haha you really think so.. I highly doubt that, as much as its not easy for me to say.. Ravenclaw's got a much better team this term, we just lost to them last game. So I say Ravenclaw will win the cup again this term." Amanda said then tapped her fingers on the table.

Varius snorted out a laugh as Kayla sprayed their table with her tea, before producing a tissue from his pocket and dabbing as much of the contaminated, coody-ridden liquid from the table surface. "Not the students, but he has been having a round of the Professors. He is a very flirtacious man. It might not be long till he starts on you though if you two are owling regularly. I think he's almost been through most of the female staff," he said matter of factly, risking another sip of his coffee and appreciating a cool warmth this time.

"Well it is good that you're happy and i'm sure he," whoever he may be, "is as well. Classes are well," and there it was, the talk of points! EEEK "I have no idea. I suppose it's because Jake keeps getting put in detention. Yep. He's never out," good cover story.

"OH! Did I tell you I have been practising kissing? Soon i'll be an all round stud! Celandine Toussaint? You remember her? Well she was helping me. But she had gooey lips. She put this candy stuff on... it tasted like strawberries."

Turning at the sound of her name being spoken, Kayla spotted Gabben and Amanda. "Hey you two. Yeah it's me Gabben." She gave him a smile and a wink. "How have the two of you been?" She raised an eyebrow in question at the two of them being in Puddifoot's together. "Looking good as always Mr Gardner."


"Hmm...well he didn't seem that way to me but..."she shrugged her shoulders again..."each to their own I suppose. So long has his classes aren't affected and he doesn't do anything stupid in front of the students." Well obviously he was if the students were talking about it. Kayla frowned at that, she may as well write to the man. Give him some advice for a change.

"Oh yes Nicholai is very happy." Of course she just assumed that Varius knew who Nicholai was, she was pretty sure that everyone knew who he was. Kayla shot Varius a glare across the table. "I don't think it's entirely Jake's fault. Seems to me that your Prefects have gone a little soft on the lot of you. I swear if I could i would come back there just to light a fire underneath you all." Oh and you better believe she would too.

Lucky for her she didn't have her tea in front of her again otherwise she would definitely have dropped it. "YOU WHAT?? You do realise that Celandine Toussaint, is practically my sister-in-law. Her brother Nicholai, is my other half." Kayla leaned across the table and clipped Varius behind the ear. "Do not kiss her again!!"

*Gabben turned his chair away from the table and Amanda and started talking to Kayla. He had been trying to get ahold of her for ages.*

"And you look just as good looking if not more so Ms. Prefect. I've been trying to send you letters but they keep getting sent back?"
*He smirked and raised an eyebrow.*
"Do I upset you that much?"

"I've been well Kayla, just like incredibly busy lately with Quidditch and homework." Amanda said as she looked over and saw her friend, it had been ages since she saw Kayla.

She watched as Gabben turned his chair away from her, she ended up tapping her fingernails on the table and felt the need to want to roll her eyes and just say something.

"He's not doing much in front of the students. Although he did spontaneously snog Professor Bunbury. That was pretty interesting. It was all over Aparecium of course," afterall, when wasn't Lawson in Aparecium?

"Nicholai? Well that's good," he smiled, not really sure who this Nicholai was. He had never met of him and he didn't remember hearing about it... but maybe he had and he forgot... that was more than likely. "Well... I think maybe since we've been flooded out of our common room and all... and and... the stress! and trauma! Yes, that's probably it." Boy she sure hadn't lost her SCARE tactics.

"Your sister-in-law? Wha? How? OH! THAT's who Nicholai is... OW!" Varius raised a hand up to his ear and began rubbing it, "That hurt." Pouting he continued, "What, you don't want me as a brother-in-law?" he teased, "But yeh.. I PROMISE, not to do it again... it wasn't very good anyway."

"Why thank you Mr Gardner, that means a lot coming from you" she teased. "And I'm not a Prefect anymore." Although everyone seems keen on still calling her that, she must of made quite an impression.

Kayla gave him an apologetic look. "I'm sorry about that Gabben, just precautions and all that. I'll see if I can have some of the security lifted." Yeah and Nicholai, was really going to agree to that. "But how have you been?"

"That's good to hear Amanda. Has Slytherin played yet?" Kayla looked between Gabben and Amanda and felt a little bit of tension on Amanda's side. Oh. She hadn't meant to interrupt their conversation. Well Gabben had spoken to her first. "Um...how's the rock star life going?"

Wow this Professor Lawson seemed to be quite the ladies man. Maybe it might be best if she didn't write back to him after all. "I heard about this Aparecium. What's doing with that?"

"Blah!! Excuses, excuses Varius. You lot are slacking and just won't admit it. What the hell happened to you lot? I leave and the house just falls apart? I mean I am flattered that everyone misses me and everything but still..."she was almost tempted to clip him around the ear again but she refrained from doing so but only just.

Kayla continued to glare at him from across the table and she clenched her jaw slightly. "It was supposed to hurt and it will hurt a whole lot more if I hear you kissing her again. And as much as I love you Varius and I would be honored to have you as a brother-in-law, just not with Celandine." Because if you think I'm scary then wait till you meet Nicholai. She smirked at his last comment though, "I wouldn't let Cela, hear you say that."

"Yeah Slytherin played earlier, unfortunately we lost to Ravenclaw but our team is awesome this year." Amanda said, trying to push the memory of the Ravenclaw Seeker catching the snitch and ending the game.

"Oh the rock star life is going amazing, I'm working on another album and recording songs at my house. Plus, I'm talking to promoters about the tour I'm going on again this summer." She added with a bit of a smile, she stopped tapping her fingernails on the table for now because her right hand was hurting from getting hit with a bludger.

*Gabben nodded and whispered.* "I'm doing better but... well it's about Kyle. Send me an owl to let me know where to owl."

*Gabben turned back to Amanda and smiled.*
"They played Ravenclaw this morning, and I must say you did a wonderful job Amanda."
*He laughed and winked at her. He really did think she did a good job, but Ravenclaw was just to good this year.*

"Well thank you Gabben, it was an amazing first game for me playing as a Beater." Amanda said then blushed a slight crimson as Gabben winked at her.

She fiddled with her Slytherin tie, making sure it was perfect; honestly it was like she couldn't go anywhere without having her robes look perfect.

"You have a tour this summer? Do you think you can take a holiday? Looks like I'm getting a new place..."
*He frowned a little not looking forward to his new life.*

"Seems Ravenclaw are really hard to beat huh? Willow Kovac, really is an awesome Captain." Not that she knew that much about Quidditch but it seemed that ever since Kovac became captain they had become unbeatable.

Kayla gave Amanda a bright smile. "Congratulations, I am really happy that everything is going so well for you." She looked at Amanda and Gabben, again and she cleared her throat unsure of what to say.

Kayla gave Gabben a concerned look and then nodded. "I'll be sure to do that Gabben. I'll help out where I can but..."she brushed her hand over her stomach again..."I can't get into anything too dangerous...if...er...you know what I mean."

She watched the two for a moment and then smiled. Slytherin and Hufflepuffs, they always seemed to get together. "Well I don't want to...um...interrupt the two of you anymore than I have already. I'll be sure to write to the both of you when I can."

"Well, I'm not on tour the whole summer, I'm going to need a holiday after dealing with crazy fans." Amanda said then suddenly had a flashback to her first show in Toronto, merlin that was absolutely the most insane thing she had dealt with in a while.

"Oh I have to agree, it was interesting because she ended up playing Keeper since their original Keeper ended up not being able to play." Amanda said the shook the memory of that away, she was focussed on the Consolation Match.

"Well thank you Kayla, frankly this is a huge surprise to me to actually be touring again." She said with a smile, she hoped that the tour was going to be as awesome as it was last summer.

"From what I was told it has a built in spa and pool or something..." *He smiled a little still looking down. It would be nice to have friends over for the summer.*

*Gabben raised an eyebrow. Kayla not wanting to jump head first into the unknown. Then he saw her hand move to her stomach and his eyes went wide. It couldn't be! He stood up for a second in shock then in a fast movment tried to sit back down but ended up falling to the floor.*

"But I am sure you are looking forward to it right? Must be nice to travel all over the world..."she trailed off when Gabben, stood up and then fell to the floor.

Getting out of her chair as best she could, Kayla bent down beside Gabben and gave him a concerned look. "Are you alright Gabben, you look as though you have seen a ghost or something?" She chuckled at his expression, really she didn't look that bad did she?

"Ooh that sounds nice, well it sounds like I may have to come over after my tour's over." Amanda said then smiled a bit, this was going to be an absolutely amazing summer then. She had the tour, plus recording some new songs in her recording studio back home and then she'd have to go and visit Gabben.

"Or something... Kayla, are you...?"
*The thought seemed so odd to him that he couldn't even say it. He pulled himself back up in the chair and gave her a worried look.*

"Oh its awesome to travel around the world, performing on stage with 25,000 fans screaming your name, its definately a rush." Amanda said, then remembered the flag that one of her fans made her last year on her first tour.

"Yes I am but lets not make a big deal of it okay. I have been in Hogsmeade all day and only two people have picked up on it." And Kayla, wanted to keep it that way. She straightened back up and looked down at Gabben. "One of the reasons I couldn't come back to school...obviously."

"Don't worry Kayla,I will not bug him about that and yeah,you have to talk to him some other time."

He is still wondering why Kayla couldn't come back to school but he managed to thrashed his curiosity,but whatever it is,Kayla can count on him when she needs help."Yeah,Hufflepuff is in the last place,I dunno.But huffies seemed rebellious these days but I have to tell you these,I think other school staffs is being unfair to huffies,first a girl name Sarah get into detention because she asked if the librarian's name was Ms.Brainless,I don't think that its her fault and a huffie again,Ricco,get into detention cause he asked the Professor Truebridge if he can help too,when slytherins common room get flooded,Is that fair."He protested,Well,He didn't know what exact things happens but its unfair for him

"Dom,I'll tell him to stop goo-goo eyes at Willow Kovac,to be precised."He grinned.Hahaha,I have a reason to poke Denton now.

"Yeah,I promise,I will be a prefect.I'll send you a note when I become one."He smiled then choked."You're always welcome Kayla."

Then he noticed his some other friends,fellow huffies and a girl slytherpuff.He waved at Varius.Then he noticed Gabben along with Amanda.

hahah,they are dating,YES.

He smiled because of that scene."dating huh?"He grinned as the two reached them.

"I'm not too sure myself," he admitted, "It's some gossip parchment that floats around the school giving the latest scoops. Professor Lawson is in it quite a lot, i've been in it a few times... oh, and of course, the Cela/Plymouth break-up. Very sad indeed."

"Oh, YES! That's it. Because you left we no longer feel motivated without you near so we are protesting... or, losing, in memory of you. Yes, that was our plan all along, but we didn't want you to know or feel bad. Yep," she probably wouldn't buy that either, she wasn't stupid. But it could soooo be true - for Varius at least.

He still didn't get what the big idea was. What was so wrong with practicing with Cela? He decided not to ask the next question in fear of getting hit again. "Oh don't worry, I already told her I didn't like it," he was still rubbing his ear, mama? :(

Sydney stepped into Madame Puddifoot's Cafe which looked like a nice and quiet place to relax. After buying herself a Cream Tea, she walked over to one of the tables near to the window and plopped on the chair placing her bag on the table. Sydney pulled her jacket tighter, the weather was very chilly but the cafe was warm & soothing. Pulling out a book from her bag, she glanced outside the window while taking sips of the yummy cream tea and licked her lips.

Her bright blue eyes flickered across the cafe, lots of students from Hogwarts were present there but she didn't feel like approaching anyone or bursting between a conversation & rather waited for someone else to come forward and chat. Focusing on the book, Sydney tapped her feet & gently tucked a strand of her brown hair behind her ear.

"Researching what?" she eyed Xehanna. "You don't still have that necklace do you? I thought we got rid of it." she sighed and rolled her eyes as she took another bite of her scone. "Uhm...Lizzie and Chris broke up because Chris was being a stupid boy. I mean they're still friends and all it's just he had a moment of stupidity." she smiled. "Or atleast, that's what I think." she giggled. Dem stiffened up when Xeha brought up Dag. "Uhm...well....you see....I kinda like him....a lot.....and he kinda likes me too. But's it's nothing more then that. We've held hands and he's taken me to three broomsticks and we always do our homework together and stuff, and we've danced together...." she began reminising of all the good times they've had together. He really was a good dancer.

"Sorry I just... wow... But why all the security and lack of owls? It's as if you went under ground with the mole people. Is something else going on?"

*Gabben's famous worry lines came to his forehead as he looked at Kayla. Back when the two were at school Gabben had a little crush on Kayla but knew it could never happen. She was with someone else and only saw Gabben as a friend and he could live with that. He was just shocked about this news, it was by far the last reason on his mind as to why Kayla had not come back. Gabben turned to Amanda seeing that she wasn't shocked.*
