Oh golly gee whizzz that Vindictus was just a gem, wasn't he?! Myrtle was suddenly filled with an inexplicable joy and happiness - and, of course, pride to be a Ravenclaw.

"Oh yes sir, I won't get anything toooooo wet," she bounce-floated in place. "I will be sure to stop by and motivate them sometime soon."

The ghostie grinned, pushing her spectacles up the bridge of her nose, and then turned and floated away through the nearest wall. Why, she had to get to her bathroom and tidy up if she was going to go visit her Housemates later!

"Not at all, Professor," Cari said, leaving after Myrtle, Ghosts need to be afforded with respect, she had learned that from her Grandmamma and she wouldn't soon forget it.

Vindictus took one last look at the cell and shook his head at the teensy puddle created by Myrtle's tears. That is one overly emotional ghost. He closed the cell door and his footsteps echoed down the corridor as he walked away.

Suddenly water seem to seep into the dungeon level, wetting everyone's feet.

Water continued seeping it, rising fast. It was now at waist level and continually rising... The water was cold and dark, green, and murky... and no spell was going to stop its ascent.

Kazimeriz pushed his way into the lover's lair chamber, his breathing labored. He longed for a place to rest, some warmth... His robes were so heavy that at last he abandoned his outer robe and his satchel; the books that he had been carrying were irreperably flooded anyway. He wondered about his potions stores; would they be ruined as well? At least the private stores were in a sealed cabinet, hopefully they would not be affected.

But this wasn't the time to think on that. Students. Think about the students.

He was beginning to feel this was a fool's errand- perhaps Truebridge's word should have been trusted. But he never would forgive himself if Truebridge had been wrong and someone was drowned. No. There was no one here.

One more chamber, old man. Keep going.

Ethan stared. He stared at the robe floating on the water and immediately grabbed at it, both relieved and annoyed when there was no Kazimeriz attached to the other end. He'd definitely BEEN here though. Truebridge left the chamber.
