Everything seemed to be happening at once. There were yells from the students and more were appearing and getting swept up into the water as well. This was a bloody nightmare!! They had absolutely no control of the situation and he, the elves and the young girl hit the stone wall and the next thing he knew the girl had gone limp in his arms.

Marcus, cursed under his breath. He held her up above the water as best he could. "SOMEBODY GET HELP AND NOW!!" He yelled above the torrid of water that was swirling still around them.

He tried to look over his shoulder at the other girl that had fallen in but he could not see her anywhere and his panic grew. If anything happened to these kids, he would never forgive himself for not getting them out earlier. The more he tried to hold up the girl and the elves up, the more he ended up going under the water.

Merlin!! He was going to drown and that had been his greatest fear. It was the worst possible way to die as far as he was concerned. He took another deep breath as he went under once again and he didn't know whether he had the energy to come back up again.

Chris swam back to the edge of the water and jumped out. "Professor! I am going to the staff room now to get the Professors!" and he took off up the stairs. This was a nightmare.

Antonio rushed over. "Professor, hang on!", he shouted. He turned to Chris, the prefect, and asked, "Have you been here the whole time? When did the water start rising like this? We have to do something quick, we don't have much time! I'm going in there, I've got some gillyweed left over from that time in the dungeons, I think I have enough to hold till I can get him out of there."

Chris ran back into the water filled corridor behind professor Dumont. "I wasnt here the whole time but I heard shouts andthen I came." he said talking fast out of nervousness he hoped everyone would be ok. "I tried to save him I thew him a rope and everything but his hands were full. And then there was ll the more water and more students fell in..." He said talking more quickly with every word. He was paniking.

Alessia ran to the Kitchen step. "Merlin! Tony, there's no time!" The water was so high! "Marcus... I'm going to summon the girl first!" She couldn't tell the water continued to roar. "Accio Kiri Starstalker" She said casting with her wand.

Oh thank the Lord. Professors to save them! Clifford had stupidly been considering giving in and simply jumping into the chaos himself. Sure, he couldn't swim.. but at least that way he'd actually be doing something! Rather than stand here wide-eyed and in shock like the lemon he was.

"I've been here the whole time, Sir," the Head Boy started quickly. "It started not long ago.. it all happened so quick! Not like the flood in the dungeons." Where as that one had silently, slowly crept up on them.. this one was rolling and swirling around like there was some sort of whirlpool. "Quick! Save them, Sir!" Especially the house elves! They couldn't lose such wonderful chefs!

"Master! Young master!" Beezley called out, looking towards the professor and studentsie who'd come to save the day. "Don't forget about me! Oh, pleeease don't forget about The Beeze!" Beezley clung tighter to Master Lawson's head, her little skin and bones arms wrapped tightly around the man. She looked toward her two fellow elves, making sure both were still holding out tightly. It'd just break Beezley's heart to lose a friend, yes it would.

The rushing tide was so much stronger now, between mouthfuls of the foul water she struggled to keep afloat. She tried to avoid slamming into the furniture and walls in vain, and was black and blue all over in no time.

She found herself drifting quickly towards the group and grabbed onto them. She looked at the struggling man and all the weight he was carrying. "Hand me one of them" she yelled, unsure if she can take on anybody else beside herself. "If you free one of your hands you can try to grab onto something." Hey it was a plan right?

"What would we do without you?", Antonio smiled at Alessia, and realized they could use the summoning charm to get everyone out of the water. That way, he wouldn't have to jump into that mess. "Accio Beezley," he said, pointing his wand at a house elf caught in the water and going under quickly. Antonio grasped the gillyweed tight in his hand. "Professor, grab onto my arm and hold on. I'm going to try to pull you to safety but I've got gillyweed in case I go in and I won't let you go. Hold on!" He reached his arm out as far as it would go.

Marcus felt the young girl being jerked out of his hands and he didn't have the energy to hold onto her any longer. He simply let her go and the anguish he felt that he might have just let her drown. And then he felt one of the elves being jerked away and he choked back a scream. All his efforts of trying to save them had been worthless.

But yet he still tried his hardest to keep the other two elves afloat. he could hear people yelling but he had no idea of what anyone was saying. He raised his head above the water once again taking another deep breath and really hoping it wasn't his last before he got pulled under the water once again.

Oh Annie and Caroline were going to love this!!

Antonio saw the elf headed towards him. That was one down, he thought. One at a time, and we'll get them all out. He seemed to be coming pretty fast.

Chris saw the professor start to move as the house elf and a Slytherin was acciod to the stairs. "Professor Lawson! I got the help! Just hold on a little longer. Professors Dumont and Lupa are here!" he crossed his fingers praying as the Muggle Studies and Ancient Runes Professors did their magic *no pun intended*

"What can we do?", Antonio screamed. "We've got to get them out of there NOW! Reducio!" he shouted, pointing his wand at the water furiously. "Evaparo!" It didn't seem to be working.

The unconscious Kiri was hurled into her arms... She cradled her, as she placed her on the top step. "Marcus! Marcus can you swim this way? Should Tony and I summon you?" He was obviously heavier than a child or an elf.

She could hear more yelling and movement whizzing above her head. One of the creatures floated away, and then another student. Help has arrived!

She was about to cry for help when she swallowed a mouthful of the water and started to choke. Flailing her arms wildly, she started to go under.

"I will try," Antonio said. "Accio Professor Lawson." He pointed his wand and focused with all his might, saying a silent prayer to Merlin that this would work. "There's another girl who needs help, too!", he cried out, noticing a girl go under. "I don't think we've got much time!"

"Accio Lawson!" She said in unison with Tony.

Antonio was grateful that Alessia had joined in the charm with him, this was the only chance they had of saving the professor. "Hang on, Alessia," he said, just in case he started coming at them fast. They had to get the professor out now, and hopefully be able to get the girl out right away, too.

No sooner had Beezley tightened her grip on Master's head, she felt herself being sucked away and then soaring through the air. "Somebody catch The Beeze!" she called out, flailing about as she flew to Merlin knew where. "For the love of chocolate chip cookies, catch me!"

A moment later, Beezley splatted against something rather large, hairy, and slimy all at the same time. Beezley had no clue what she'd run into, but one thing was for sure...this was no chocolate chip cookie, no sir'ee. Slowly, the little elf turned around to see...Master Dumont's head! Beezley had slammed into Master's head. She glanced down to see the gillyweed he had in his hand, which explained the sort of slimy feeling from a few seconds ago.

Erm...so what now? Master Dumont was now swimming through the water with Beezley on his head. All the elf had done was zoom from one professor to the next. Oh, Merlin's pants, they were all gonna drownnn!

Marcus felt himself and the two elves being jerked forward and grabbed hold of them so as to not lose them. He felt himself leave the water and hit the top step with a resounding thud, quickly followed by a crack. Pain seared through his rib cage and he knew that he had just broken a couple of ribs.

He lay on the floor coughing and spluttering trying to get his breath back. "Did you...get...all...the kids out?" He wheezed before closing his eyes and wincing from the pain in his ribs.

"Om my God! You got him out!" Chris said jumping in the air in excitement. The nightmare was almost over. He looked at the House Elf suction cupped to Professor Dumont's head. Poor thing, the house elf that is.

Antonio felt something hard smack him in the head as he lost his balance and fell into that horrible water. It was the elf who he had summoned, he was coming through the air faster than he had thought. Fortunately, he still had the gillyweed clutched in his hand. Could he swim back, stay afloat long enough? He felt himself going under, then clutched the gillyweed tighter.

Just then, he saw the girl that had gone under float by, and he reached for her with one arm while hoping and praying they could all get back to land safely. Was she the last one? He wasn't sure. He had to keep hold of the elf and the girl while somehow making it back to shore with both of them. Was there a chance? At least he still had the gillyweed in his hand, it was his only hope.

Just as Chris looked at the House Elf. He face froze in shock as Professor Dumont was knocked into the water! "Professor Dumont!" He thought to himself. 'We save on teacher ad another falls in. Stupid Flood!'

Antonio, still clutching the gillyweed, made it back to the edge of the floor. "Chris, can you give me a hand?", he asked, seeing he was the closest person nearby. "Help the girl first, I think she's passed out and we have to save her! I've got the elf, too." Antonio was feeling weak and kind of dizzy, but he was trying to hold on as best as he could.

Chris breathed a sigh of relief as Dumont resurfaced. "Sure I can get her." he reached down and pulled her up and then dragged her up on to the dry land. He then stretched out his hand to pull Dumont up.
