As she was walking back to her seat, Kaika spotted brand new faces, but not first year faces, which was...interesting.

So, without further notice she walked over to the spot the boy and the girl had in the much-big Hufflepuff table...if only there was a place to leave the clipboard while she ate. Oh, well.

"Umm, excuse me. Hi. I'm Kaika Lockhart. Quidditch Captain" she introduced herself, because that's what one did when meeting someone new, right? "And, I couldn't help to notice that you're, obviously, new here" a nod came to the brunette's head, "So, welcome to Hogwarts...and to Hufflepuff, of course" she smiled, just saying 'Hufflepuff' brought her to a perfectly happy mood.

Dark eyes grew wide, being rudely pulled out of her personal thoughts by someone lightly hitting her shoulder. Her eyes narrowed, glaring at the boy that took the seat beside her for a moment and then sighed. He hadn't done anything YET, best give him the benefit of the doubt while she still could. "Hey Cy," the small girl murmured in response, eying him questioningly. "When are you going to tell me what that means?" Katie didn't like nicknames as it was, and this one particularly was driving her crazy. Unfortunately, he probably knew that too.

Honored to be in the same house as him? THIS was exactily what she had been telling Anna about on the train, boys and their egos. Katie shook her head, saying coolly, "It's nice to be in the same house as you, but nothing honorable. Don't get ahead of yourself." the eleven year old emphasized, making sure her point was made clear and she wasn't giving a reason for his head to inflate anymore than normal.
Frowning at Cy as he took a drink from his goblet filled with pumpkin juice, Kaitlynnh was pleased to be distracted from thinking of the icky juice by none other than William. A small smile spread on her lips, turning to her other side to look at him properly from where he sat next to her. "Willie!" She greeted, forcing sweetness through her rather down mood, Katie leaned over slightly and gave him a hug. "You were?" Had he really been looking for her? Straightening up abit, the small first year looked to Cyrus and then to William, just now noticing she was stuck between two boys - two of her boys. "Cy, Will, you two know each other right?" Surely they did..

Simone, running late as usual and blushing as usual, quickly walked into the great hall. At least that was what she thought they called it, in any case, the big room where everyone is supposed to eat their meals. Thats it! She walked over to the table that was for the Hufflepuffs. Apparently that was her house now.

She sighed and quickly found a seat. She really wanted to go talk to Aunt Ili, but knew she couldnt right now. Simone looked at the great spread across the table. This was for sure a feast. She looked around trying to decide what she wanted, still blushing because, well sitting next to strangers made her do that for some odd reason.

Cy smiled to Katie wryly and shook his head. “I’ll tell you… thah’ day I take ovah’ the world. Which, according to my calendah’. Isn’t TOO far away.” He said such matter-o-factly, like there was no doubt in the fact that Cyrus would indeed rule the world.

The Aussie furrowed his eyebrows disapprovingly at Katie. “You’ll come tah’ see it as an honor.” He chuckled slightly and patted his chest in recognition. “I’m always a bit ahead of myself, that’s what makes me thah’ best.” Someone else sat down on the other side of Katie, and Cy leaned far forward in his seat to see who it was.

The bloke looked AWFULLY familiar, and Katie called him ‘Willie’? They’d met in Hawaii right? Cyrus was almost sure they had. “OH! What’s up mate?” He nodded curtly to Katie, “Yeh’, pretty sure we have.”

But, surely, Kaika couldn't help overhearing. That's what she did lately, overhear.

'Taking over the world'? Well, this was certainly amusing and interesting coming from what look like a first year. "Taking over the world, huh? Don't you think it's better to take over something smaller?" she said, and suppressed a laugh.

What was it with Hufflepuffs and the attitude of being a bit DOMinating? Seems quite unreal, right? One thing was for sure, Hufflepuff was the BEST house, which made Hufflepuffs the greatest.

Talk about ego.

"What will your name be, first year boy?" she asked, a somewhat sweet tone in her voice.

Danika looked up when she heard a new voice that seemed to be talking to her and Torin. When the new girl intruduced herself, Dani smiled. "Hi Kaika, nice to meet you. I am Danika. This here is Torin, my twin brother. Say hi Torin." she said. She went to stick her hand out to shake Kaika's hand, when she elbowed someone next to her. "Ohmigosh!! I am so sorry!" she said turning really fast to the person. When she turned, she knocked over she water. "Oh!" she said and blushed. She pushed her plate out of the way and put her red face on the table. This was emberassing.

He nodded "Thanks Sarah" he put his hand on her back and patted her awkwardly "Okay"

As he heard Alice tell Sarah not to prank him, he smiled "Thanks Alice" he nodded "Okay, I'm glad I'm with you" he hugged her and then pulled away looking blank, that was the first time he'd hugged anyone who wasn't S of his own accord.

Watching the interaction between Sarah and Professor Dumont, George looked over at Alice and stayed silent. He wasn't going to get involved with other people yet. It was too soon.

William grinned, he just couldn't help it and hugged her back. He could tell she wasn't herself but figured it was nerves. He remembered his time as a first year very well, probably best to forget really he figured and made it his goal to cheer her up. "Yes I was. Wondering if you could help me look for something." he explained shrugging as he helped himself to some juice. "That is if you want. I know you probably want to explore a bit, get a feel for the castle and all." he stumbled over hsi words before noticing the other boy on the opposite side of her.

He looked familiar; he knew he knew him from somewhere. Then it dawned on him. "What's up man?" He asked, giving a curt nod to the boy he now remembered as Cyrus. "You can help too if you want, the more eyes the better." he added, knowing it was all too true. If Paris' mom couldn't Summon it from Diagon Alley it had to be around the castle. It was still bothering him, for the life of him he couldn't remember even dropping it and he knew no one would dare take it from him. He had hopes for the other students to not to anything rash like that. Or so he hoped anyway. and besides it was important to him in a way, sure the pink clashed with his hair and whole style but it was his.

"Well, it's certainly nice to meet new people" she said, a smile still in place. Why was she being so formal today? She'd always had a bit of formality around her, but not this much, maybe she was...growing into her responsibilities as a Captain, and a sixth year.

It didn't matter, formality wasn't part of Quidditch when the players were on the Pitch.

Kaika couldn't help to laugh a bit when the girl motioned her own brother to say 'Hi'. It was just a funny sight. Not as funny as what was going to happen next. A clear case of clumsiness ahead. A Hufflepuff indeed. Apparently.

"It's a good thing it's only water, right? With the whole 'the water doesn't leave stains' and stuff" she shrugged, hopefully Danika wouldn't make a big thing out of the knocking things over and all.

"Which year are you in?" she asked, trying to get the attention away from the water, "You don't seem to be in your first" she commented, stating the obvious.

Ouch! What the crap was that!? Simone looked to the left where some girl was sitting, who had just elbowed her really hard. She sat rubbing her arm, then suddenly her lap was wet from the same said girl. She was angry at first, but when the girl blushed and laid her head down on the table. She started to giggle.


Coughing to stop, Simone replied, "Don't worry about it. I'm not breakable....and I think my robes will dry." She grinned. Someone else was actually just as clutzy as her sometimes, if not more so. She might as well introduce her self, now that she had been beaten and soaked. "My name is Simone Morgan. I am new this term...fourth year, transfered from Beauxbaton's." She put out her right hand, the arm that wasnt injured, and waited for the girl to shake it. This was a step up for Simone. Maybe she could actually introduce herself without having to turn into a tomato.

Alice looked down at his gorgeous face. It was reflected his happyness over sitting here with her. Atleast he was not as mischievous as Sarah. Alice hugged him back, "No problem George." she said, noticed his face expression, "Bored. eh?" she asked.

She also watched the conversation between Sarah and Professor Dumont interestedly.

"Umm... no... I don't usually hug people, unless it's S" George told her as he looked back at the food interestedly, trying to distract himself from his thoughts "Are you bored?" he asked quietly.

'My robes will dry'. Kaika's eyes widened. Of course! Well, she was a witch, and there were a few ways of not staying wet. Once she remembered the air-dry charm, she took her wand out and pointed at the girl's robes. No need in keeping her soak during the rest of the feast.

"There" she said, an accomplished smile on Kaika's face, she was no longer wet, and that was good. Wasn't it?

Either way, "I'm Kaika, Kaika Lockhart" she introduced herself, "I already know your name" because you just said it, "Welcome to Hogwarts" since none of the Prefects were around, someone had to welcome the new students, right? Or whatever it was that the Prefects did on the first day, anyway.

"I...hope that this first incident...is not some sort of preset on what's going to happen the rest of the year" maybe that was something that the girl was hoping.

Still blushing, Dani gave herself a second to gather herself. What a way to start a new term, at a new school, in front of all the new people. Taking a deep breath she turn to Kaika. "Yeah thank goodness it was water." she said blushing harder. When she felt the redness in her face reduce a little, she awnsered Kaika's question. "I am a fourth year transfer. We are from Greece." she said and then she turned to the other girl.

"Simone, Danika. I am soooo sorry. I am not normally this clumsy." she said as she took the girls hand. She felt so bad that she hurt her. "Fourth year? That is cool. I am too." she said. Ok, this better get better. This was not how she wanted to meet people. She then looked at Torin to see what his reaction was. If he mentioned this to anyone, she would hex him.

Sarah looked at Dumont. "Well, if you ever need to talk about it, I'm here." She smiled as she looked at him. "I like it already." She laughed. "I've already made a few friends."

Sarah smiled at Alice. "Alice, what do we do now?" She asked, she was so confused and didn't know what they were suppost to do. "I'm not that naughty am I?" She blushed. "I promise I'll behave all the time whilest we are here, well I'll try to." She giggled.

Sarah watch Alice looked around the Great Hall and smiled as she looked around. "It's grand this place isn't it, I just wish I could owl m.." She was going to say mum but decided against it since she knew she would cry if she thought of her and her dad. "Alice I'm sure I'm starting to like this place there are loads of people here for us to make friends with." She giggled.

Ryder looked towards the girl that had just answered his question. "Well, yes, I have," he said. "But not last year..just when I remember, there was more people at the Hufflepuff table."

He took a look at his plate, which he hadn't added any food to yet, and piled food up on his plate. After he was done, he turned back to the girl and asked, "so what year are you in?" He wasn't sure, but she looked younger than him.

Ryder turned around as he was looking around the Great Hall. He had been hoping to run into Dominic on the train, but he'd never seen him. He was happy he knew at least one guy from his house. He turned back around as Dominic sat down a little ways from him and went back to eating his food. It really was good, he was glad this hadn't changed.

After a few minutes he turned down the table and said in a slightly raised voice, 'Hey Dominic! How was the rest of your summer?"

Ryder had pretty much become absorbed in his food, but looked up when yet another person took a seat at the table almost just across from him. He didn't know him either, but he needed to start talking to people or he would go through the year only knowing a handful of people. "Hi," he said tentavily. Not knowing what else to say, he took another bite of his food.

Brant walked over to the Hufflepuff table to find Sarah, because they haven't seen each other since Diagon Alley. He was truely missing her, He walked up to a group that seemed to be in a intense conversation and didn't want to intrupt them but He wanted to find her. "Erm, excuse me has anyone seen Sarah, she's a second year?.."

"Oh,oh right I see," Sarah nodded when he responded to her. "I'm the same actually.My best friends are in Ravenclaw so I spend most of the start and end of term feasts over there."
Smiling she leant forward and spooned some potatoes onto her plate followed by a few slices of whatever meat was available.Having been in a rush for the train earlier in the day all she'd had to eat were some sweets,which wasn't very filling.

She was just putting a mouthful of food in when he spoke again.Swallowing hard so not to talk and eat at the same time she said, "I'm a third year,how about you?" Maybe 4th or 5th she thought,but she was only guessing.
"And I'm Sarah by the way,nice to meet you." Sarah extended her hand out in greeting to him and smiled warmly.

Elan looked around at all the wonderful foods around him and groaned. The food here was good, and expertly prepared, but it wasn't what he got at home. He wanted pasta right now, and all he saw was a bowl of spaghetti bolognese. He really wanted a nice cappelini with a pesto sauce and grilled chicken. With a great sigh, he reached for the cucumber sandwiches and apple juice, as his previous plate had gotten him feeling a bit overly full. He wondered when the headmaster would speak so he could run over and meet Nia before they had to head to their respective common rooms.

"I'm just starting my fourth year," he told her in between mouthfuls of sausage. He brushed his hair out of his face, he was in need of a hair cut, before he gently shook her hand and said, "It's nice to meet you, Sarah, I'm Ryder Montgomery." He was glad that he was finally meeting people that were around his own age. It really sucked having missed out on a year of school..but even then, he didn't know any of the people here, unless he'd just met them. He took another bite to distract him before he asked, "What extra classes are you taking this year?" He was pretty sure that students chose other classes in their third year, but he wasn't entirely sure.

Snufkin was prepared for many things. Like roasted Troll heads, fried Snitches. But not for this.

Fourth year huh? So she had been pretty close in her guess. "Just a year above me then,Ryder," she smiled,before starting to tuck into her food again.It was strange how she could find friends in other houses but so few in her own.This boy seemed nice,though,so maybe that would change.

Extra classes? That one threw her.She hadn't thought about it and her stuttering reply probably gave the game away. "Oh uhhh I I'm not sure yet.Will have to look at the schedules when I get up to the common room,work it out." She stared at the goblet of juice in front of her,mind wandering to all the lessons that she would have to do now...Please don't let Arithmancy be mandatory....

Snapping back to reality,and with another mouthful of potato to calm her,she turned back to face Ryder. "So what lessons are you looking forward to this year?" Yep lessons again.She was officially stuck for something to say now her mind had gone onto work.

Lizzie bit into a sausage covered with mash potato and tomato sauce. Beside her was her fellow third year, Sarah, who was having a conversation to someone Lizzie did not know. He looked a bit older.
"Hi Sarah. Who's This?"

He had to think about that for a minute. Over the last year, he'd read through so many different text books, so that he would be caught up. But now that someone had actually asked him the question, he didn't know how he was going to answer it. "Umm, most likely Charms and DADA," he said, they had always been his favourite, but maybe that would change.

He looked around him for a second, then got started on his pototoes. After a minute he asked Sarah, "So do you live far away from Hogwarts?"

He turned towards the other person who'd spoken, she seemed to know who Sarah was, so he smiled at he and said, "I'm Ryder, fourth year."

"Hi. I am Lizzie, I am a third year, like Sarah.." She smiled. She shoved a whole mouthful of chips into her mouth clumsily.
"What heritage are you? I am muggle-born."
