imaginarynumb3rs, MeredithRodneyMcKay, RaRaRachie, Averi, and Jess <3 Annnnd the weak looking HuffieMcPuffer was addressing her. No-no th-thankyou. she'd stuttered out. Melanie, raised a quizzical eyebrow, not believing a word. Something was going on here. People don't just gather all around in one spot and- and make a scene for no reason did they? .....Huh? Why were they even speaking about the hospital wing? she'd only fallen asleep on the ground right, unless the headbutt had some sort of concussion. Melanie seriously doubted that...Jake's hair was too curly and long for them to have made contact with his head too painful or harmful. Weird... The Hufflepuff grinned up at the older girl who seemed to be in charge as she smiled down at her. The words that excited her mouth next rather confused her though. Melanie cocked her head, wondering if she had heard right. She could have sworn she'd heard the girl....Vanessa or something say she was a prefect. But wasn't Kayla the Huffie's girl prefect? Was there more than one or something? Or had Kayla left...? Melanie didn't think she'd looked that old. Something slowly registered ion Melanie's mind as she heard Vanessa say I really don't want you to faint again as she attempted to convince the small frail looking girl who's name was apparently Wesley to go to the hospital wing: She FAINTED. She wasn't just sleeping in front of the door way. Melanie could have slapped herself. It made so much more sense now. the girl had passed out and Jake spilled water on her to wake her up and then she'd accidentally headbutted him as she tried to stand up. Ha, she could get used to this whole common sense thing.... Melanie watched, wanting to help, taking in the view with a concerned look on her face, wondering what had made the girl pass out to begin with. After all there had been plenty of food at the feast hadn't there? And good Hogwarts food too. Of course, maybe she'd been too nervous or excited to eat it. Whatever....She'd ask later... They were doing pretty much everything in there power to help her anyway As another girl standing around the couch the firstie had settled down on volunteered to help, Melanie piped in as well. "I can help to if you need anything, I'd be happy to ....be of assistance." she offered, smiling slightly. That sounded a bit oddly formal, but oh well. And then Dominic Denton joined the small mob of people, the Huffie's boy prefect last year and this year too she noted, catching sight of the shiny gold badge on his chest. Much to her satisfaction she didn't feel the slightest bit of fear as he entered the room. "Hi..." she greeted quietly as he walked over, asking about what was going on. Of course, she didn't answer though. She'd been confused about the entire ordeal only a few moments ago so it was probable he'd be best off with someone else replying to his inquiry. Definitely. And sure enough Vanessa did and Melanie discovered her second estimate had been correct, for sure. Pffffffftttttt that had made much more sense than what she'd previously thought anyway. Melanie looked around, a bit startled as she felt added weight around her shoulders. She quickly calmed herself though as she realized it was only Emalyn. The second year gave her friend a warm smile, happy to see her again, especially since they hadn't gotten too much of an opportunity to speak at the feast. She opened her mouth to say something, but soon closed her mouth again. It didn't seem right to talk with everyone else standing there, eyes fixed on the fallen first year as well as conversation, so Melanie settled reluctantly for a soft "Hey Ema.", still grinning happily up at her. Then, without Melanie even hardly realizing what she was doing she turned her attention back to the girl whom was now agreeing to go with Vanessa to the Hospital wing, probably a good thing, considering her present state. Melanie still wanted to help so she was a tiiiiiny bit disappointed when Vanessa asked Dominic to help take Wesley to the hospital wing, even though he was obviously the best choice, probably being the strongest in the room and oldest besides Vanessa herself, not to mention a fellow prefect. She still felt the need to help though... Ohhh and of course more weirdness and drama, Hogwarts just seemed to be filled to the brim with it today, not that she minded. No, she was too happy to be back at Hogwarts to mind something as trivial as a bit of drama, especially if it didn't concern her. And, Jake's demand of Dominic's presence meant that Vanessa may need someone else to help her bring Wesley down to the hospital wing. Ummm....Really? a levitation charm? Was that even possible to use on a human being? Melanie opened her mouth slightly, in awe.... It didn't take long for it to register what that meant though. If Vanessa used a levitation charm she probably wouldn't need help... Siiiiiiiighhhh. That wasn't all though.apparently she did want someone to accompany her, Ema. Melanie immediately looked a bit crestfallen, but then an idea struck her. "Could I come and help too? Please?" she asked, addressing Vanessa eagerly. "I could- I...umm..." Melanie trailed off thoughtfully trying to think of something she could do to help out. "I could spot her or if you wanna carry her I could help with that..." she tried hopefully. |
Ema returned Melanie's grin, but immediately turned back to the scene before her. She felt as there was nothing she could do, and she had the urge to get out of their way. She stayed by Melanie, her curiosity of what they were going to do getting the best of her, even though she knew they had more than enough people to help. |
To Rachieee and.. everyone? XD Sorry I forgot! Returning the smile, though hers was small, Katie waved a hand about. Greeting the older Prefect girl with a polite "Hi." though she considered it, the small girl decided it best not to introduce herself at this exact moment. The common room was growing louder, if that was even possible, and more students were crowding around the poor pale girl that had yet to talk since she had come in, Katie was almost sure. The rather short Prefect girl thought her fellow firstie was okay now, and still she was planning to take her to the Hospital Wing? Maybe it was just her, but that wasn't very convincing. "Then how come she has to see the nurse if she's okay?" Katie asked, thinking outloud. |
Zoe, imaginarynumb3rs, Rachie, Davina, Lindsey, Gracie, and whoever else... <333 Dominic had definitely gained a bit of patience in the past two years from being prefect, but right now, he was losing it. And all because of the angst and temper of a second year boy, who was snapping at him, when he did nothing wrong. "Nothing, Jake," Dominic sighed resignedly. It was the best he could to do to hold himself together, because he had to. "Just, well, breathe?" Oh good. He sat down on the edge of the sofa - which the sixth year supposed was a tad reassuring to this little 'talk' they were about to endure. Nodding at the young boy to tell him fine, he'll talk to him, he then turned back to deal with other matters first. First and foremost the pale girl, Wesley (though he still thought that an odd name but refrained from voicing this) as she thanked him and sucked on the candy. "Of course. Anytime" Yes, she did seem to have devoured that candy and was definitely in need of more food substance than just a tart, low-sugared candy. Oh good... She was agreeing to go to the Hospital Wing. Just a few more matters to deal with before Jake... "Vanessa... I know you are a seventh year," Thank Merlin! "So well, then I think you will be quite fine with a levitating charm, but well, perhaps you should bring both Emalyn and Melanie..." The sixth year nodded, since Melanie seemed eager to want to help anyway. Giving the young girl - who he knew from quidditch last term - a polite nod in greeting of her, he turned back to offer one more thing to Vanessa (not that she needed it). "And well, I don't suppose after the Hospital Wing, or maybe before, you could see to it that she gets some proper food into her?" He offered, a smile playing on the Hufflepuff's lips. Quote:

His eyes then rested on another girl, who seemed like a first year, but quite bubbly and energetic. Perfect. "She is okay, but when someone faints, it's usually a good idea to find out what caused it," Dominic informed the girl, despite the fact that her question was probably rhetorical. "But... that's not important as the fact that it seems to me like one of your housemates ..." Dominic inclined his head slightly in the direction of Rhea, "Is a bit unhappy. Think you could use that good mood of yours to influence hers?" The sixth year smiled charmingly at the younger girl, though he knew not neither name of the two young girls. |
There seemed to be an awful lot of people that wanted to help the poor fainting firstie.Sarah sat in her place on the sofa and watched as yet more joined the melee in the common room, crowding round to see what was going on. This can't be making her feel any better, must be so embarrassed by it all. Deciding that there was nothing she could do that wasn't already being done,Sarah took a final look around to see if anyone she knew was there.Nope.Sighing she slipped slowly and quietly out of her seat and headed for the door.I really need to get my homework done... |
haha Jake: *tests your patience* Quote:
Feeling thoroughly fed up of this year already, Jake growled to himself and purposefully leaned backwards so he was laying with his back on the seat cushions, legs up against the backrest and feet dangling in the air over the back of the sofa. Sure, Dominic got angered by Jake soooo easily, but how would he react to Jake's other news? Maybe... maybe he wouldn't tell them... Yeah, that seemed right. "Hurry uppppp," Jake whined to the boy from his new position. Geez, Prefects. *rolls eyes* |
Elan walks in to the common room at what seems like a bad time. Seems there was a bit of a dispute and Elan isn't sure why. Still not having many Huffie mates, he thought he would visit and try to make some friends. |
Noticing that the common room was starting to get full, she decided to go for a walk around the grounds. Surely there was something that she hadnt discovered yet. She marked her spot in her book, and put it back into her bag. Simone walked out of the common room, searching for an adventure. |
*After a good nap Gabben rolled off the couch and yawned. He looked down at his watch.* "Woah! I've been sleeping for hours." *His hand went to his tummy and he headed out to the great hall.* |

Okay... The temptation to push him over was very strong, but being incredibly mature, the little blonde didn't. "Are you like, clumsier than an artard or sommit?" Sure it was sort of family slang, but who cared. Not her, and he probably wouldn't either. |

Christine entered the common room tired from her search for Kyle. She had not seen him since last term. She expected to see him during the feast, but he was a no show. Now Christine just spent two hours walking around the castle hoping to run into him. She just had to except the fact that Kyle did not come back to Hogwarts. It seemed like everyone she made friends with did not come back for a second year at Hogwarts, although Kyle did have a good reason, what with his little "problem". Christine didn't know if she should write to him, he obviously didn't want to talk to her. Christine walked over to the couch and sat down. She was tired. After sitting down she finally noticed how crowded the common room was. She saw Dominic and started to say hi, but he looked busy with prefect duties so she decided not to. She pulled out the quill she used to sign up for quidditch tryouts and started twirling it between her fingers. |
Sorry for taking so long!! Quote:

Wesley had never been to the kitchens before. She hoped that whoever ran the kitchens wouldn't be mad at her for stopping by. She could just picture a huge cook with a frying pan, aimed at her, "HOW DARE YOU ENTER MY KITCHEN!" Perhaps stopping at the kitchen wasn't such a good idea. But if Dominic said it was okay, and he was a prefect, then maybe he knew the cook. Wesley figured you were supposed to trust the prefects, seeing as they had a badge and all. And Vanessa was a prefect to. If Wesley could trust Dominic, then she could surely trust Vanessa. In fact, Wesley thought she might trust Vanessa more than Dominic. Vanessa wouldn't let her fall. She hoped. NO! Wesley KNEW she wouldn't let her fall. Because she was a prefect and prefects didn't drop people. Right. "Okay," Wesley answered Vanessa about the levitating, "And maybe-ifwestoppedatthekitchensIcouldwalktherestofthewayt othehospitalwing," she added quickly, hoping that no one would be angry at her for voicing her opinion. OOC: Seeing how the rest of the castle is maybe 2ish weeks ahead of right now, after Wesley, Melanie, Vanessa, and Emalyn leave the room, should we stop and just say she went to the kitchen/hospital wing? I'm really new at this so I'm unsure of how everything works. |
Ella ran into the common room and immediately saw her best friend Ema. "Ema!" she squealed across the room, waving. |
Ema turned when she heard a voice calling to her. She jumped and a grin spread across her face. She told Melanie she'd be right back and ran toward Ella. "ELLA BO BELLA!" she beamed, squeezing the life out of the poor fourth year. "How was your summer?" |
Tammy entered the common room and grinned, it was pretty empty like usual and she , as she did every year, had found something new in the castle which had really really surprised her. It was weird being in sixth year. Some how she had became distant from people and it didnt sound at all right. Tamzin Wood. noooo. Tammy Wood. well betterrr. Tammy , sixth year. eeeeck. yackers. She shuddered even considering the fact that it was her punultimate year. Gahhh. Not funny, not in one single willy nilly bit. And she didnt have anyone to talk to anyways. Jack had gone and left her. NOT EVERN TOLD HER HE WAS GOING. christ sakes. and Eva just wasnt anywhere to be found anywhere, anytime. Scanning the room quickly she sighed. No-one she knew. No-one to talk to. A lonely re start to the year. |
Jim walked into the common room. There was no one in sight. |
Tammy came back down the stairs after being in her dorm and smiled at the boy in there. "Hi." She might aswell be ncie he was a fellow hufflepuff. |
Melony sat down on a couch and looked around. Bear, her kitten, jumped up on her lap and purred. Melony smiled a dazzling smile. She hopes someone comes up to talk to her because she is too shy to do so herself. |
Tammy noticed another girl walk in and went and sat on the sofa opposite. "Hi. Im Tamzin." She spoke loud enough for the girl to hear and not think she was shy. |
Simone yawned as she walked in through the door to the common room. She noticed that the couch was empty, and quickly took advantage of it, streching out across it. Then she remembered why she came in here. She quickly pulled out a piece of parchment and her quill and ink. She really needed to get one of those self inking quills. Shaking off the thought, she started to write... Quote:
She paused for a moment to think about what to tell them. Not much had happened to her other then meeting a couple of people...and classes. She sighed, and thought for a bit, tapping her quill against her chin as she went. |
Disguises could be downright helpful when you were on a mission. Especially if your mission was to check on someone without being seen. The professor - sometimes known (to very few) as KittyIli - silently walked into the Hufflepuff Common Room. Sitting beside the door, her tail swished from side to side as she scanned the room. Jake was nowhere to be found. Hmmm... Maybe Kazimeriz finally tracked him down. she thought, slightly worried. Then another familiar face caught her eye. Very good, she thought, seeing the quill in her hand. Maybe she knew where Jake was. Without hesitation, she sprang up right into Simone's lap and winked her kitty eye. |

Simone gasped as the beautiful tabby jumped into her lap. Then she rolled her eyes, folded her arms across her chest and replied quietly, "Checking up on me, I see, Tia gatita?" She sighed, placing her quill behind her ear. She picked up the piece of parchment, showed it to the tabby and said, "Writting to daddy and mum," in a tiny bit annoyed tone. |
Lisa and Suzzy Kitten mooching around her feet, Vanessa Corbette wandered back into the common room, ready to have a little bit of a relax, before she was going to do some more studying. "You're gonna make me fall over." Vannie giggled, as she smiled down at Patches. Silly little thing. But as soon as she said that Patches decided that she didn't want to mooch around her feet anymore, and the ginger kitten, went running, or you could call it running, over to the feet of another girl. "Pattches." She shook her head, but then noticed, that the girl had a cat in her lap. That was what Patches was interested in. "Aww...your cat is cute." Vanessa smiled, as she glanced at her kitten shaking her head. |
