Natasha had come in behind Becca, and breathed in the smell of sweets and chocolate. "Yeah, defiantly." She said to Becca with a grin and followed her over to the chocolates. "I'm in my second year. And I'm a Slytherin," Natasha said thoughtfully. "And, I'm not sure who my favorite teacher is, at the moment. My favorite classes are probably Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology, and maybe Charms or DADA." Natasha shrugged, she liked a lot of classes, really. "I've got a cousin here who's in her sixth year," Natasha paused, thinking about anything else, but nothing came to mind.

Becca pulled one pack of chocolate frogs off the shelf and paused, turning to Natasha. "A Slytherin, huh?" She remembered what Lainey had said about Slytherin boys. Maybe this kid could fill her in on the cute, charming, available older Slytherin guys. If there were any. "And a second year? Mmm, that was a good year. Very good." Until Lainey left.

"Good taste in classes," she added. "Care of Magical Creatures is a lot of fun, so is charms - and DADA, of course. Herbology?" A weary expression crossed Becca's face. "I could definitely live without it. The only reason I ever attend that class is because of the teacher. She makes me laugh." Becca pulled four more boxes of chocolate frogs off the shelf and steadied them in her arms. "How are you at flying? You up for playing Quidditch someday?" She couldn't steer away from that topic when favorite classes came up. It was way too much fun.

"Yeah, so, what year are you?" She asked Becca curiously. Natasha liked being a second year, mostly because now she knew more people and she knew her way around. Natasha chuckled as she said about the Herbology teacher. Natasha picked some chocolate frogs off the shelf, and some fudge.

"Hmm... Flying? Well, I'm pretty good." Natasha hadn't tried out for the team or anything, but she had played it a bit at home. "Yeah, I'd love to." She said to Becca with a grin.

"Fourth year Ravenclaw," Becca replied, heading for the sugar quills. She just needed one or two - certainly not as many as she did chocolate frogs. "Aw man, you should definitely go out for the team next year! You'd love it for sure. It's a lot of fun. I've been a reserve for the past few terms. Usually a beater, but they put me as seeker once for unknown reasons. But we pulled it off every time!" Hm, was it wrong that she was bragging? She didn't mean it to come off that way, it just did!

"Any boys caught your eye?" She was just trying to make conversation now to get in on the gossip of Hogwarts, which she really never did, surprisingly.

"Well, you know, I was thinking about trying out." Natasha said thoughtfully, it sounded as if it would be fun. "I think I might try next year, actually." Natasha decided with a smile. "So, you like being a beater, then?" She asked Becca curiously.

"Hm, not really... Yet, anyway." Natasha answered with a smile at Becca. She didn't know very many boys yet, but none had really caught her eye. "What about you?"

"Good. You definitely should do it. Even if you didn't make it, it'd be worth it. Then you wouldn't spend your time wondering, 'What if,' you know?" She shrugged, carefully pulling two sugar quills from the shelf. "Beater is definitely fun, yeah. You get to take out any anger at the other team. Seeker has its perks, too, though. But it's a stressful position. If you catch the snitch, sure, you get all the glory for your team. But if you lose?" She shook her head and left it at that. Natasha could imagine for herself.

"Not yet? Hmm, I'm sure there's at least one good lookin' guy that you see sitting around your common room," Becca grinned, heading for the counter with her items. "We're girls, it just happens. Me? I..." She stopped and looked at Natasha, trying decide how much to tell her. Better safe than sorry. "There's one guy that's really handsome, charming, caring, and fascinating to talk to." Copernicus, of course. "But... at the same time... there's another guy, too. They're both really cool. Totally different, but both really great guys." Plymouth and his goofy personality came to mind. "That's all you're gonna get out of me. Did you want anything else before we leave?"

Natasha nodded, and listened to Becca talk about being a beater and a seeker. "Yeah, I can imagine being a seeker would be quite stressful." She said with a nod. Now that she thought about it, even trying out would be pretty cool.

"Yeah, I'm sure there is." Natasha said grinning back at her friend. Well, there would be if she had a common room, anyway. "Well, I'm sure you'll figure something out." She said to Becca with a smile as she explained about her, or, at least explained what she was going to tell Natasha. "I think I've got everything," she said, glancing down at her chocolates before looking back at Becca.

Becca smiled at Natasha. She was a pretty good friend - she didn't argue or complain much and showed that she was an avid listener. "All right, let's get going, then." She approached the counter and set down her five boxes of chocolate frogs and two sugar quills. In her head, she worked out how much it would cost. "Five times five is twenty-five... plus six sickles from the sugar quills. That's thirty-one sicks. And... uh... seventeen sickles per galleon, right?" She turned to Natasha for reassurance. "So that makes.. three extra sickles left over. Hm. Here," she handed two galleons to the clerk, "and just keep the change." She somehow managed to pocket all of her things before stepping out of the way.

"What's been going on in the school lately? Anything interesting? I've been really out of it," Becca admitted while she waited for the other girl to check out. Surely this young Slytherin would know the interesting happenings, yeah?

Natasha also came up to the counter, and added up how much her things would cost. She nodded when Becca turned to her, and when she was done paying for hers, Natasha moved up to the counter. After placing her chocolate onto the counter, Natasha pulled out her money, and gave the clerk the right amount of money. She pocketed her things, and stepped away from the counter, turning to look at Becca.

"Hm, well, I can't think of anything besides the Slytherin common room." Natasha said, everyone knew about that though, didn't they? Well, some people probably didn't.

Becca watched Natasha take care of her business with the clerk and headed for the door when she was done. "Oh yeah," she nodded in agreement. "I've heard loads of people talking about that. Did all of your stuff get ruined, or was the room evacuated before it got too bad or what? I haven't heard any major details."

"Anything that was in the common room when it started, I'm sure is completely ruined now." Natasha said. The only things of hers that weren't ruined were some books, and some parchment and ink which she had with her at the time, away from the dungeons. The teachers are supposed to be dealing with it, but I don't know if they've made any progress or not." Natasha said with a shrug. "Oh, and now the Slytherin's are sleeping in the Astronomy tower."

Becca's face fell. She was never too fond of Slytherins, especially after the run-in with Paris, but that was an awful experience for anyone. "Oh... I'm really sorry," she frowned. "I would've been completely furious if something like that happened in my common room. You seem to be taking it pretty well, though. But, I guess you've had some time to get over it."

She peered out the window and looked at the sky as they neared the door. "I probably should go. But I'll see you around, all right? And... Natasha? Thanks for talking to me." Awkward for Becca, but the girl deserved to know she was truly appreciated. It was funny how people seemed to flock to her and be nice when she was upset. Buuut maybe that was just because she didn't wear as fierce of an expression when she was unhappy.

"Thank you, but, it's okay." Natasha said with a smile. She was kind of getting used to the idea, and she usually took things pretty well. Even though she did find it annoying not having her stuff and common room before, she just hoped the teachers would be able to figure something out soon.

Natasha glanced out the window as well, and looked back at Becca. "Mhm, yeah, see you around." She said with a friendly smile. She liked Becca, and wanted to be able to see her around more. "That's okay, I always like talking to people." Natasha replied.

Chocolate frogs. Lemon drops. Chocolate frogs. Lemon drops. Mariel kept repeating those four words in her head as she entered Honeydukes. She was a girl on a mission and she was not leaving Hogsmeade until she had enough to last her until the next Hogsmeade trip (and then some). As she stepped into the candy store, her green eyes scanned the row upon row of sweets, barely aware of her surroundings. Although she did notice that the store was quite empty, which was just fine with the third year. More candy for her and besides, a crowd would just get in the way of her getting her candy.

Mariel made a beeline for the chocolate frog display. Grabbing several handfuls, she stashed them in the crook of her left arm before glancing around again. Now where were the lemon drops? Her mind flashed back to a couple weeks ago when she remembered seeing a boy in the bamboo forest vanishing lemon drops. She was so horrified that someone would blatantly disregard her favorite candy that she had been speechless and frozen to the spot, helpless to stop the boy. Shaking that thought out of her head, Mariel looked around somewhat frantically this time, still in search of the lemony goodness. Had they moved them? Where. Were. The. LEMONDROPS?!

Karma pushed open the door of Honeyduke's, holding onto Em's arm. A dose of sugar, caffeine, hyper in a wrapper...

Whatever it was, it was fine with her. Sugar Quills, cherry filled chocolate, fudge... OMG. Soo much. Maybe she shouldn't have eaten any before she came.

She turned her attention back to Em, and smiled.

"I've been doing very well," she said. "Especially in classes. I'm trying to hopefully earn as many points as I can this year. And I'm doing well with it so far. How are you?"

More like, how are you and Piper? Nah. No mentioning that, she didn't want to seem jealous. She really, honestly wasn't.

He looked around. Oh...dear!! It was the heaven of candies, or what??? Emiliano let out a long sigh and tried to decide what to take first. Lollipops, chocolate frogs, sugar quills...It was soooo difficult. Why were sugar products so...confusing??

Emiliano listened to Karma as he spoke, taking a few sugar quills along the way and a whole box of Chocolate frogs for himself. "Erm...I'm great. I try my best as well to help the house. We kind of started with the wrong foot this year...eh?" He asked, referring both the school and their relationship as friends.

Sugar Quills. Ohh man, they were Karma's weakness. Woah, they even had them in different colors. Red, orange, yellow, blue, green, pink, purple... WOAH. Okay so, three blue, two purple, one red... Hehehe.

What else would she want? Fudge, yes. Lollipops... oooh. Yes yes. Oh wait. Em was talking now. Focussss.

"That's good," she said, turning to look at him. Man, in her Converse she was shorter that he was. Hmph. "Yeah, I know we didn't. But I think we're doing alright now, I mean there's nothing wrong. We're each happy in our own way. Plus, I have my best friend back. And that is what matters the most."

Aww man. Too bad she was leaving next year. Don't think about that now! There's sugar around!

Emiliano looked straight at Karma as she spoke. "Yeah...happy our own ways..." He said, turning back to see what would he chose next. There were about this three different choices for more chocolates, and more candies to bite around his spare time, while he did homework, maybe...

"So, do you like the new professors around the school?" One little question would not hurt anyone...right?

Karma eyed Emiliano as he shuffled around to see what he wanted to choose next. It seemed as if there was something else on his mind, and she wanted to listen in, for lack of a better term. She decided not to, as it was considered rude a lot. She would ask later.

"Lawson is my favorite!" she said, without thinking. "And the new Healer intern, I like her a lot too. But still, Lawson is my personal favorite. He and I took a walk the other day when I wasn't doing so well. And he's basically like an older version of Kris. Except he's hot."

Whoops. Did she just say that out loud? She looked to the side, and then turned around to look through the lollipops. Bahaha. Oh Karma. No more sug--

Ooh. Fudge.

Surprise, surprise! A crush on a professor, maybe...Ehem, better not ask about it, Saenz..."Lawson, eh?" He raised an eyebrow and let out a small chuckle, then went on with the next counter to choose lollipops of different flavours. He almost had that little basket full. Yeah, he was in the need of something that would keep his mind a bit of the real life around him.

"And I wondered why your brother came appealing to Diana." He mentioned that outloud. A reason for Ms. Saenz to just jump right into him and get his head off in a second. But he didn't care, only if...Karma told Kris...then he would be in trouble. Gulp!!

He approached Karma again and smiled. "Err...I think we all have the chance to feel attracted to a professor, mostly in our age." Em said in a whisper, shrugging his shoulders. Talk about that, when he was in...Bulgaria.

Karma observed Em's basket being almost full. Man, it surprised her that he didn't bounce off the walls quite like she did when she had sugar. Well, maybe if he ate more of it when she was around, he might.

She stopped, and almost dropped her basket when he mentioned Kris. Diana liked Kris? WHAT?!

"Wow, he didn't mention that!" she said, eyes widening and looking down at the basket. She wasn't sure if it was because of the candy, or because of the news of Kris. "Aww, they would be cute together. But isn't she kinda sorta seeing someone?"

Hahaaa, now he was talking about liking Professors. She knew he had to have been looking at some of the professors here.

"Oooh, which professor here Saenz?" she asked, teasing and grinning. "Bunbunz or Shackleton?"

"You have never seen me when I eat candies...I usually waste the extra energy with soccer games and music, composing music." Emiliano confessed and smiled. "I can also be a little crazy, dancing around..." Ehem, not mean to be said, but too late...

"They met at the Leaky Cauldron, though in not very great circumstances." He almost let out a strong chuckle from the way he remembered Diana talking about that day, "Diana was having her allergy reactions." He said and nodded, holding the laugh again. Diana seeing someone, "Actually, kind of...I heard her talking about this guy, Jonathan...she talked about him to mom" He said, kind of stranged from his own sister. It was something...out of the normal.

"Shh...not one from here. Well...how about if I say, Morgan?" One confession to make. Of course, his favourite class, favourite teacher.

Oooh. She would feed him sugar more often then. Especially to see this dancing around bit he was talking about. That seemed just like her, and that is why they were BFF. Duh.

"Aww, allergies suck," Karma said. She nodded as he spoke of another man. "Kris is still single. Which, in my case, is good. 'Cause I don't need to be keeping tabs on his girlfriend. The last one, she was BAD. Oh, hey! Kris applied for the Department Head position for the Department of Mysteries. Isn't that exciting?"

Eeeeee, so he DID have a fancy for a teacher. She soo knew it, the way he payed attention to her in class. Professor Morgan WAS very pretty. Karma giggled as she stood next to him picking out lollipops.

"And I usually take a partner to dance along with me...so be careful, Atkins.." Emiliano said, letting out a strong laugh after so much time holding her anxiety to do so. He then, took her hand and waist just in time to do some twirl around.

Emiliano listened to Karma speak about her brother. "Looks like you are too close...mostly like Diana and me, she would be worried as well in girl situations." He commented, slightly shaking his head. Focus, Saenz...not to think about that subject right now...

"Head of Department...exciting, and that should be interesting to keep an eye on...I really wish your brother gets the position..." One cheer at a time, yes.

That sweet giggle, made Emiliano turn to Karma and get hold of her opposite shoulder for a squish. "...I won't tell around if you don't..." He whispered, giving her a shifty grin.

Ohohoh! He took her hand and waist and began spinning with her basket on her arm. Karma laughed and grinned the whole time. Dancing in the candy store - how odd, but fun. They would definitely have to dance later. But man, was Emiliano smooth on his feet.

"Kris and I are VERY close," she said. "If we weren't related, people would swear we were. We still fight, don't get me wrong. We just have better up times than down times."

Ohh, she wanted Kris to get the job as bad as Kris himself wanted it. They both knew if he didn't get it, it would be lack of experience which was fine. He would just have to keep trying.

"Yeah, and if he doesn't get the position now, he eventually will."

Ahh, when Em grabbed her shoulder she immediately rested her head on his shoulder. She missed him sooo much. It was a good thing they got to shop for candy together. Now the fun part was to eat it...

And then dance.
