Truebridge had the class set up differently today, there were tables arranged in clusters of three- seven desks, no real rhyme or reason in it. He was sitting at his own desk, apparently completely engrossed in reading a book.
You should probably sit down and get ready for class. |

OOC: Relating to your edit, it wasn't a mistake, DanialRad. SenoritaMaxie (Fyo) guesed Satine's organization correctly. It's the Brotherhood of Goblins.
With Anna's answer and the professor's comment, a new question arose in Diane's mind. Could the organization be... Ah, let's not think, she had no guesses left anyways. Besides, she was interested in the answer to the last questions.[/Unnecessary, yes. Posting only so it's not an only OOC post...]

Uh oh.
Diane should have known it wouldn't take long before it reached them. The feeling of wet on the tip of her shoes (that has all her tiny legs reached at the moment) alerted her of the layer of water that was forming under their feet. Hopping out of the seat, thus splashing lightly her classmates's knees, and raising her hand, and with unnerving calm, she said, "Professor, the classroom is flooding."
"May I suggest... leaving?"

Satine felt her toes getting wet through the open front of her blue heels. She looked down to see what the dealio was only to see water seeping into the classroom from the baseboards below. O great...she thought not again! She looked towards the professor and heard a student next to her say exactly what she was thinking. "Yes Professor, I think we should get out of here and quick...trust me...this is my third encounter with this flooding nonsence and I don't want it to be three strikes and your out.." wow that was a great muggle phrase she had slide into her words of panic and she hoped the professor caught it..."I mean if this follows the same path as before, we should get out of here...I'd say like ....NOW!!!! and trust me don't hesitate or the doors will slam shut on you and you'll be stuck behind this awful wall of water" she finished trying to keep back as much panic as she could as she shivered from the memories.
She would not get stuck in this again...she just wouldn't...and without waiting for the Professor to release them, she gathered her stuff, pulled her blue heels off as to not ruin them in this nasty water again and headed hastily towards the door encouraging others to follow her as she went.

| be curious, not judgmental Becca looked at the ground as everyone shouted out different things in alarm. FLOODING! "Oh nuh uh. NO WAY. Not in Miss Professor Lainey's old classroom!" She jumped to her feet, her wand already in her hand. As if she could do something about it. "It can't ruin her old classroom! This room is MADE... of PURE INTENSITY!" And then... something horrible occurred to her.
WHAT ABOUT LAINEY'S OLD OFFICE?
If that office got ruined... she would have a COW. A big brown one.
This was so not right.

| The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas. William was in a daze, literally. His eyes were practically glazed over and he looked like a zombie, only very much alive. If it wasn't for the strange sensation of water at his feet William would probably have stayed like that, writing everything down. Blinking he shook his head and stared, a shocked look on his face.
"Did someone bring a hose to class?" He asked, completely forgetting that a vengeful flooding was happening.

Ethan stared at the damp floorboards for a moment and quite obstinately sat down in his chair. It wouldn't rush up too fast and he needed a moment to think about how he'd rescue his books.
Hearing some of the younger students strongly suggest leaving, he offered up a slightly withering look. "Oh actually class I thought we'd just hang around and drown and whoever drowns with the most style gets the most points."
It was not normal for Truebridge to be sarcastic but he was still a Slytherin after all.
"Alright, pack up your things, and calmly make your way to your common rooms, Prefects, please be sure that you help your younger housemates. Any of the older students... sixth and seventh years, I'd appreciate help rescuing the books and papers in my gallery room. If anyone messes around or tries to play hero unnecessarily, you'll regret it more than you would if the floodwaters got you, I guarantee that." His stern glare was definitely Kazimeriz inspired.
Books.
His books.
He had to save the tomes.

Anna's eyes grew wide as quaffles, and she had the sudden urge to flail about. Her eyes darted from Professor Truebridge...to Satine...to Diane, and she nodded very quickly in reply to what they were saying. Leaving would definitely be the best option at this point...yup. The problem was, as prefect, she knew it was her responsibility to assist the professor in making sure all her classmates were out the door and to safety before she bolted for the door and made a run for it. She gave the professor a thumbs up sign and a sharp nod. Younger students and books...right on.

Dang, she had never seem Professor Truebrige so stern before but it certainly was needed, She quickly put her textbbok and parchment away in her bag and grabbed her quil and headed out the door and made her way up to her common room as instructed.

Lyra had been in some sort of daydream when she heard the splashing of water around her. It couldn't be happening! NOT HERE! NOT HER...
"Ohhhhh Merlin's beard!" She let out a big HUFF as she took off a pair of her best shoes. If there was one thing, she should have just saved the school uniforms only because this water was making everything stinky! She packed up her things, tied her shoes together and draped them over her shoulder along with her bookbag.
If there was one thing she understood, she knew the meaning of saving things that were personal and loved from the nasty water. She heard the professor's wishes and gave a nod of her head. She would only help those she liked and he was one of them...and she was already wet anyway.

| The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas. Snapping out of it completely he quickly put his feet onto his desk and took off his shoes. No way was he loosing this pair, his mum would totally flip on him in more ways than one. tying the laces together he slung them over his shoulder and stood, cringing at the squishy water as it seeped into his socks. Meh he didn't like those socks anyway, he just .wanted. out. now!
Taking a deep breath he was for once glad he didn't have a bag anymore, just rolling up his parchment and slipping everything into his pockets before looking around blindly for a moment.
William panic? Never.
He glanced at the professor for a brief moment, not wanting to go out the door. What if the flooding was there too?!?

| curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog Jack felt himself smirk a little at the professor's comment...well, naturally, what else were they going to do but LEAVE? He gathered his things quickly, because drowning in style was really NOT what he had planned for the day. As he slung his bag on his shoulder, he heard the professor suggest that no one play hero--oh, he was definitely not going to do THAT.
Even if he had been thinking of risking his life for a younger student, he would have thought against it after looking at Truebridge's face. EEK! He meant business.
He scurried out of the classroom as the water starting soaking the bottom of his pants. ENOUGH WITH THE WATER ALREADY! he thought angrily. Jack had feared for his life more times this term than he could even count. It was getting exhausting!

| be curious, not judgmental "SAVE LAINEY'S CLASSROOM!" Becca cried out, obviously angry with Truebridge upon hearing the phrase, If anyone messes around or tries to play hero unnecessarily, you'll regret it more than you would if the floodwaters got you. She kicked the water that was slowly seeping through the floorboards - angry at it, too. "Save the cherished desk that she'd sit on! Save the cushions! Save the MEMORIES!"
Some would say she was being a bit dramatic, but Becca was completely crushed at the idea of the room with such happy memories being flooded. One of the few rooms in the school that reminded her of whacky Professor Lainey and her sense of humor. A room that was about to be a tank of water. Ridiculous.
She gathered her things reluctantly and eyed Truebridge. She could be a hero if she wanted to be, no matter what he said! Actually, she already was a hero this term at the Whomping Willow. She could do it again. But, she wasn't going to argue, and instead dragged her feet towards door. Angry!Becca. Time to owl Lainey.

Hearing the resolution was all Diane needed before she prepared to make her way out of the classroom. The sarcasm went past her, as was everything else. On instructions, Diane swung the backpack over her shoulder, exceedingly calm, and started walking out, the sound of water splash on every step.
"It was a nice class, professor," she said with a smile as if any other normal class. You would think nothing was the matter as she finally walked out.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Aanya Agrawal First Year | Wonky Knee Sabrina stared. And stared. And continued to stare as people all around her reacted to the water seeping in. Oh, GOD NO! Not the first floor too! What the hell is wrong with Hogwart's plummbing? Why don't they get it fixed?
On second thoughts, this couldn't actually be the plummbing's fault. Could it have flooded the whole of the ground floor AND now started on the first floor too? Of course not. This was something else ...
OH GOD!
Listening to Becca exclaim pulled Sabrina out of her thoughts and the blonde stared at her friend, horrified. Professor Lainey's office? Flashbacks of her time with Professor Lainey, especially her third year when the stupid Minister split their schools and closed Hogwarts down. She wished with all her heart the evil, wretched Minister would loose these elections. With a landslide.
Upon hearing Becca tell them to save Lainey's classroom, Sabrina wanted to shout out 'BUT HOW?!' Somehow, the words just couldn't come out of her mouth. She was a little distracted as she remembered the group hug Lainey had bestowed upon their little Hogwarts Brigade that first day at Belle's School.
"WAIT!" Sabrina said, running up to Becca. "Where are you going?"
Did Sabrina ever LISTEN?! Of course not. If she had, she would have heard Truebridge ask them all to leave. Once she looked around and saw everyone leaving, however, Sabrina realised exactly why they were leaving. Well, DUH. Gathering up her books, Sabrina followed everyone out the door.

| Wowza! Willow had been . . . well, doing anything BUT paying attention to the History of Magic lesson. In truth, the sixth year had been busy doodling Quaffles and Bludgers and Goal hoops on the very corner of her parchment throughout the entire class, not even caring whether the professor caught her or not.
Okay, that was a blatant lie, for Willow would care if Truebridge caught her, but that had not happened, so why worry about it?
There was no need to worry about that, not at all, because there were more pressing matters at this precise moment.
Like the water spreading all around the floor of the classroom.
What. The. Hell?
Abruptly standing up, Willow glared violently at the stupid water as she listened to Truebrigde bark orders. Good thing she was NO prefect, so she had no business here, which obviously meant that Willow Kovac was free to go before her socks ended up wet and - I'MSORRYWHAT?!
Help pick up parchments and books.
Books. BOOKS!
!!!!!
Who cared about BOOKS when you were about to die?
Drama Queen.
"Sure, professor." Yes, sure Sure they were all going to DIE here.
If Willow died, she was holding Truebridge and his precious blasted books responsible.

As she watched student after student react to the flood, Anna glanced carefully around to make sure that no one was about to be accidentally left behind. Everyone needed to get out of this room...and no one had the time to wait around at all. Young William Cullack wasn't getting a move on, though, and outside of Lyra and her hysterics, it appeared that everyone else was just merely strolling from the room. "Come on, William. We've got to go while the water is still very shallow. I know what you're thinking, and sadly, you're probably right," she said to him. "This entire floor of the castle probably will unfortunately flood. It'll rise quickly, too, so come on, let's go." She placed her hand on the boy's back and urged him forward.
If he didn't make a move then, she'd have to just toss the youngster onto her back and make a run for it. No way was she sticking around to watch the water level grow so high that it was once again nearly over her head. Besides, she'd also agreed to help save Professor Truebridge's books...of all things. If the water level grew any higher, though, the books were, pardon the pun, history.

The power of the water becomes evident as the sound of it starts to get louder and it begins to churn upward, but oddly, it stops at the castle windows, even open ones, and does not spill a drop outside of the castle.

The water fiercely rose to shoulder level and the sound of the rush was deafening. In the water potion vials and corks were floating in it. A GO SNAKES banner floated by, followed by a fancy green compact with the initials P.G. on it, and a Yellow notebook with a badger on the front.

Anna called out, having ended up across the room from the boy. Her eyes flickered from the Ravenclaw boy to the professor. Surely he didn't still believe his books could be saved now? Everyone needed to get to higher ground, including the professor himself. "Professor Truebridge? You...you should come along, too," she said, watching him for a few seconds longer before turning and swimming out the door. As soon as she made it into the corridor, she swam quickly to the stairs and made her way to the second floor.

The thought of the last time was running through his mind, causing him to stand there like a statue. If it wasn't for anna speaking to him he probablhy would have stayed that way forever.
"Wha? Oh right yeah move, i knew that." he said finally snapping out of his panic mode and into his little boy more scared than ever mode. Demanding his feet to move he felt her hand on his back and began moving listlessly. He gulped as the water continued to limb around him, and it was a good thing he had no bag to ruin...again. It was already at his shoulders but he still wasn't moving fast enough, or so he thought. "I'm ...coming!" he shouted at her, his face contorted with exertion. Hurrying now he made it to the door and looked back at Anna. "Now I just need to make it to the second floor." he said, trying out a smile that failed miserably.

The water was rushing harder and more things were showing up in the water. A piece of parchment was floating in the water... It said: Quote: Mac Carden Macadrian Carden Mrs. Macadrain Carden Mrs. Macadrain Shackleton Carden
Mr. Clifford Shackleton
3396694 1813235265
Also in the water was a Badger scarf with the words "I love the Dominator" embroidered in it and lots and lots of hearts around it.
Also a photograph of a boy in hufflepuff robes leaning against a beatup, rusted Ford Anglia on the outskirts of the forbidden forrest.
