Herminny frowned as she shook her head and said, "no", wondering if if anyone was gonna figure out anytime soon.

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 07-01-2009 05:17 AM

Diane suddenly snapped her fingers and let out a loud, "AHA!"

She smiled at her companions, giving out the impression she had just been given a big gift. Pity she had used her two questions and couldn't suggest an answer, by now she was pretty sure. Well, maybe half and half. The next person, or next two people should get it.

'I knew it' she thought.

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 07-01-2009 06:08 AM

Diane snickered. Apparently, Herminny wasn't too happy with the results. Ah, but it was rather fun, she thought. She gestured Herminny to sit next to her for the next part. "Good game," she told her. "I guess it was a lucky guess? The only other possible, but not as common, guess would be the Order of the Phoenix, right?"

This is like the divinator game, she thought animatedly. Let's see. Herminny's was down. Natka and Kiri's, she could not longer comment. Guess Varius' was the last, and she rather felt like guessing this time but... it was rather chaotic, wasn't it? She was rather disoriented with the answers. But if they were accurate, then there was a chance at hitting jackpot.

Well, if social services was out of the question... My, she was thinking this too much.

"Varius. My guess is International Federation of Warlocks." The physical form part may be that they are... old. Of course, there were still two more that may fit. Diane picked the odder choice.

Listening to him answer everyone else’s questions though, his attention was soon brought to that Slytherin, Kiri Starstalker. His small arm shot into the air so fast it was almost inhuman. “Hey you!", The gestured at Kiri, "WIZENGAMONT! Am I right mate, am I?” His eyes could not be opened any wider, his head was nodded for reassurance. He almost looked like a bobble-head.

"You are," nodded Kiri. "Wizengamot is right. Well done." She turned to look at the professor. Would she sit down now, or get a second organisation?

LaFresita 07-01-2009 03:22 PM

Helena was about to guess Varius's when Diane spoke her thoughts. She settled back into her chair, at least happy that, if she was right, it would still be Slytherin who got the points for it, though she wished it had been her.

Lezleighd 07-01-2009 03:37 PM

Satine looked around a little bit overwhelmed. There were so many clues and answers being thrown around that she couldn't follow fast enough, so she just resorted to writing down everything...and I mean everything...that was hinted or answered. She figured eventually it would help her out or she would find a way into the game they were playing.

"No," she answered.

He didn't mind wasting his guess if it got that choice out of the way right off.

Natka stared at him for a moment - how could he hav guessed so fast? - before nodding slowly with a smile.

"Yeah, yes it is, actually," she answered, grinning wider as she turned to the professor to see what she was to do now.

Just as she was turning around, she heard another guess directed at her, almost at the same time as Copernicus made his correct guess. She turned around to face - Nancy, right? - and shake her head.

"Nope, sorry," she replied with a slight shake of her head.

"Oh well," Diane shrugged with a smile. "That only leaves that one organization..." she said half to herself. She saw another Slytherin student who seemed to want to have a try, and nudged her encouragingly.

LaFresita 07-01-2009 08:46 PM

Helena looked at Varius slightly, with her housemate's encouragement, and said, Varius, is your organization the Brotherhood of Goblins?

Leeness 07-01-2009 11:31 PM

TeafortheSoul 07-01-2009 11:34 PM

Cela KNEW the answer. She totally did, but she'd used up her quota of questions. She looked at her list and looked around a bit wildly for a Ravenclaw that might hopefully figure it out by looking at the clues.

feeheeheeny 07-01-2009 11:44 PM

Becca may not have been the smartest kid around, but she was by Cela in hopes of taking her down during the class. But the girl had a list of clues written down. So why not use them to her advantage? "Uh, Varius, is your organization theee... Order of Merlin?"

"No," Varius said automatically, so used to the wrong guesses he was receiving. "Oh wait," he reached into his pocket and pulled out the parchment Truebridge gave him - just to double check. "Oh sorry, Becca. You are correct."

Thank goodness that was over with!

TeafortheSoul 07-01-2009 11:51 PM

Celandine grinned and did a couple of fist pumps. Yay for putting things together and coming up with the right answer! Ravenclaw ftw!

LaFresita 07-02-2009 12:55 AM

Helena frowned and, completely forgetting herself, said, How does that possibly have anything to do with their appearance? Is there some law that says you have to be old and gray to earn the Order of Merlin? Look at Gildory Lockhart - Order of Merlin third class! This was much to confusing for her.

"Well, they are all wizards aren't they." Celandine pointed out with a nod. "So, human."

LaFresita 07-02-2009 03:44 AM

Are they all wizards, though? Not only have some been witches, but it is absolutely possible for a creature of near-human intelligence to receive it. It is more of a group of people with awards than an actual group and is bound only by those within having done things noble or for the incredible benefit of others. Such things were something Helena knew about, and she wasn't taking to kindly to be wrongly disagreed with.

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 07-02-2009 03:59 AM

Diane was puzzled for a long while. Then somebody said 'Order of Merlin' and other people reproduced her same thoughts. "I'm afraid I agree with my, ah, house mate." She looked over at Helena for clarification. "That's certainly not an organization where appearance or physical characteristics are very relevant, I think. Well, more like I see wizards and witches look the same as muggles and are of the same constitutional characteristics."

She considered it for a while longer. Then shrugged. "Ah, well. It's okay, it's just a mistake."

"Humanoid then." Celandine shrugged. "Whatever you like to call it and it totally is more than a group of people with awards, Originally it was created in order to protect muggles from being harmed by magic. It created laws against using magic against muggles and influenced the creation of the statue of secrecy. The Order of Merlin was a group promoting equal rites for Wizardkind -regardless of blood- and muggles too." Celandine explained, smiling happily. Gee she liked Slytherins, they were smart.

LaFresita 07-02-2009 04:36 AM

True enough, Helena continued, But it is also no untrue to say that receiving the Order of Merlin is what places you in the group and therefore basis its members off that alone.
