Oh dear... The first question, and it was already a difficult one. Kiri had a sneaking suspicion that this was exactly what Professor Truebridge had intended, but she'd just have to do her best to answer it in one word and then move on.
"Err..." she hedged uncertainly. "I'd say... yes to the first, no to the second."

"Yes, it does," Kiri said, nodding.

Good questions, she thought. "Yes to both," she said.

OOC: It's like... midnight over here. If a few likely lads or ladies get three more posts together for me soon, I can reply one more time, otherwise it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Cassirin 06-30-2009 09:49 PM

Copernicus directed his questions at Natka. "Natka, is your organization the Official Gobstones Club?"

He didn't mind wasting his guess if it got that choice out of the way right off.

Lislchen 06-30-2009 09:53 PM

OOC: Oh, never mind. He wasn't allowed to guess anymore right?

Nancy quite hesitantly raised her hand this time as she turned to face the Ravenclaw girl, Natka. "Uhm...Natka. Just like a rather random guess but is your organization Q.U.A.B.B.L.E.?" She bit her lip as she waited for the girl to answer. It really had been a rather random guess.

Cassirin 06-30-2009 09:55 PM

Copernicus directed his questions at Kiri. "Kiri, does your organization benefit people through legal or administrative actions? Does it benefit just a specific segment of society rather than ALL people?"

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 06-30-2009 09:58 PM

Those two were good guesses. Good question about brooms too. But there were still two more that could fit the profile, she guessed.

Guess... if she had more questions or guesses, she would give it a try with Kiri's organization. (OOC: I can't, right?)

con: you can guess for Kiri. I didn't make it particularly clear but you can have two questions OR a guess for each volunteer.

She had little to base her opinion of but, "Kiri, is your organization the Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers?"

Leeness 06-30-2009 10:17 PM

All final answers in bold : D

Okay...hopefully Nancy had got that right. She was allowed to ask either of the four a question now, right? "Uhm...Varius? Is your organization controled by the Ministry?" The 15 year old asked hesitantly after raising her hand.

Varius smiled, accepting his first question. "Hm. Irrelevant," he uttered almost immediately before realising the answer should either be yes or no, there was no irrelevance to it. "Oh erm... yes. I mean, no. No it's not."

MUST-WIN-THIS-GAME.

Anyhow, words started to pour from his mouth. “Hey! Varius, mate. Is it more than two words long?” The first year really didn’t have any smart questions to ask. This wasn’t QUITE his subject of strength.

Varius liked Cy and he also liked Cy's question. Counting his fingers he eventually answered, "Yes".

Leave it to him to come up with a clever idea such as this. Hmm, so what should she ask? She sat thinking for just a moment, and then an idea came to her. Raising her hand, she said, "Varius, does your organization support the belief that a group of children or students can take a stand on a situation just as strongly as a group of adults can?"

Oh wow. These questions were getting tough! His brow was beginning to sweat. Reaching up to wipe it he thought about what the answer could be as technically it could potentially be either of the answers. In the end up he decided to go with, "Irrelevant. I mean, no. Not no, just not irrelevant. I've decided to change my answer to yes. Yes it can."

Cassirin 06-30-2009 10:22 PM

Copernicus directed his question at Varius. Erm. What to ask the hyperactive Hufflepuff?

"Tipps, does your organization work for social justice? Do the members have something in common that has to do with their physical form?"

"Varius," Anna said, her hand still in the air. "Is your organization 'S.P.E.W., or the Society for the Promotion of Elvish Welfare?" Anna had always liked S.P.E.W., as the elves at Hogwarts had always been really loving and helpful creatures.

Edit: Ha ha. I'm awful at this game, aren't I? lol I thought one question AND one guess was allowed per person, but I see now. Sorry 'bout that. :P

TeafortheSoul 06-30-2009 10:27 PM

"V?" Raising her hand, Cela asked, "Is your group one that a witch or wizard can choose to join, I mean, instead of having to be invited or asked?" In other words, was it a non-exclusive club. "And, if someone is part of the organisation you are representing, would it be considered a profession?"

Lislchen 06-30-2009 10:32 PM

Nancy once again raised her hand as she listened to all the question-and-answering going on around her. "Uhm, Kiri, is your organization mainly known in its abbreviated form?"

Copernicus was smart and would have smart questions that would HURT his head (which he did). "Erm... no, to the first questions and... yes to your second one Pernipants."

"I'm sorry Anna, I am not at liberty to say as you only get to ask me two questions OR have one guess and since you have already asked me one question," he turned to face Professor Truebridge to make sure he made the right call?

Oh! Celandine! She had nice questions, "No to both of your questions Mz Cela." He smiled at her warmly, it seemed like ages since the kitchens!

"Um... yes to both, Copernicus," she told him. That probably wasn't strictly true, but when one's answering possibilities comprised three words, one of them a sort of shrug, metaphysical questions weren't that important.

Celandine started taking notes on the answers, compiling them together and highlighting the answers to her own questions.

Quote:

Natka
- Irrelevant whether it is good or bad
- An old organisation

- Benefits people through administrative or legal actions
- Benefits a specific part of society and not all people

- Not know in an abbreviated form

Varius
- Not controlled by the ministry
- Name is more than two words long
- Does not necessarily believe adults are better than students (?)
- - does not work for social justice
- Members have something in common to do with their physical form
- Members need to be invited to join
- It is not a profession

Herminny

ZDARDSKY 06-30-2009 11:05 PM

Cy nodded fervently as Varius asked his question, he then went on the violently scratch out all of the mere ‘two word’ organizations. The first year was so anxious that he appeared to be almost falling over the front of his desk.

Listening to him answer everyone else’s questions though, his attention was soon brought to that Slytherin, Kiri Starstalker. His small arm shot into the air so fast it was almost inhuman. “Hey you!", The gestured at Kiri, "WIZENGAMONT! Am I right mate, am I?” His eyes could not be opened any wider, his head was nodded for reassurance. He almost looked like a bobble-head.

Rosa Chispa Princessa 07-01-2009 12:24 AM

Herminny slowly made her way to the front of the classroom to find out what she would be doing as volunteeer.

Truebridge passed Herminny her slip of parchment and watched the questions and the guesses carefully.

Chris raised his hand. "Herminny, is your organization a school Organization?"

Rosa Chispa Princessa 07-01-2009 04:47 AM

Herminny smiled as Chris asked a question cause she kind of liked him as a freind who she rally wanted to recconect with and answered saying, "Yes it is".

Linda raised 'Professor, how many guesses are a person allowed?'

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 07-01-2009 05:06 AM

Diane mmhed again. "Herminny, is your organization one of the Hogwarts Houses?" Her last question to Herminny. Plain but, if Diane was correct, it may give out the definite answer before long.
