Copernicus raised his hand. "The Knights of Walpurgis, Professor? And I suppose that if you count groups that separate themselves culturally and physically, werewolf society as well." |
Herminny raised her hand and said, "I believe the the Official Gobstone Club is one sir", Herminny said hoping she was right. |
Wizarding organizations? Cam thought if Quidditch would count but someone had already raised their hands and said that. He thought about what other societies he was familiar of and raised his hand. "What about the Brotherhood of Goblins? It was an organization for the goblins' rights, for things like if they would be responsible enough to hold and use a wand." |
Celandine raised her hand to rattle off the ones that she'd heard of, "The Brotherhood of Goblins, The Inquisitorial Squad, Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers, The Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore's Army, The Order of Merlin, the Death Eaters, Quidditch Union for the Administration and Betterment of the British League and its Endeavors, Society for the Promotion of Elvish Welfare, Society for the Reformation of Hags, Society for the Support of Squibs, Society for the Tolerance of Vampires... and..." Celandine shot a little look around the classroom, catching Anna and Clifford's eyes, "The Order of the Mark or Seal... the ones who helped us get Hogwarts back." |

Plymouth's eyes followed Cela, like they always did. He simply watched her. Didn't speak, didn't look away. Just watched. Hm. Quote:
Plymouth raised his hand, "My mum is a long-term member of a magical knitting-group. She makes me socks." What Plymouth didn't mention was that he, too, was also a member. He liked to give his mum props anyway. Her socks were better anyway. |
Oooh. Wizarding organisations and stuffs? Sounded kind of interesting, Clifford supposed. As long as they were COOL clubs and not BORING ones. Like - "Quidditch!" The Head Boy beamed, hand in the air. "That's one, right? Ooh, ooh.. and I even got asked to join one here at Hogwarts a couple of terms ago.. it was called the Order of the Fang." Oh, the memories. |

Lyra raised her hand but then lowered it when Cela answered for everyone. She took in a deep breath and relaxed in her chair waiting for the next answer. |
Truebridge flicked his wand at the blackboard. Quote:
He paused and nodded at Copernicus, "I am glad you mentioned the Knights of Walpurgis, we will be talking about that a little later." |
Lucy thought, racking her mind for more orangisations. "Well there's Society for Distressed Witches, The Medieval Assembly of European Wizards, The Order of Air Voyagers for Intrepid Wizards, International Confederation of Wizards, International Confederation of Wizards' Quidditch Committee, International Task Force." She said, her hand in the air. |
Copernicus raised his hand again, pleased already with his previous contribution. "Along with the Order of the Fang, there also were the Orders of the Mane, Claw, and Talon, I believe. These four effectively disbanded when the Order of the Mark came into existance." |
Jake raised his hand again, keeping quiet this time and not raising it too far. "The anti-Lawson club? The 'We hate Kazi' brigade?" he muttered, letting a nasty smile show on his face. Then he remembered one. "The Snatchers?" Rememberrrrrrrr? Well... Jake didn't that was long before his time. Kazi probably did. Stupid old goat. |
Rachel bit her lip lightly as she racked her brains for more societies that she knew. "There is the Dark Force Defense League, the International Confederation of Wizards and the International Federation of Warlocks..." she said, her hand raised in the air as she tried to think of more. Ugh - her mind was seriously not working today. |
"There's the Dark Force Defense League, Sir," Clifford tried hand in the air. He wasn't sure if anyone had said that one already, but threw it out there anyway. Hehe. "And the Troll Rights Movement too?" |
Herminny raised her hand again and said, "The International Confederation of Wizards, The Wazarding Examinations Authority", Herminny said beaming |
Patrick though about it, thinking of famous wizards of times passed. then it hit him, lifting his hand again. "The International Confederation of Wizards, sir. Albus Dumbledore was part of that too if I remember well from past lessons." |
Celandine turned her head to BEAM at Copernicus, she hadn't told him about her part in all that yet. And if he knew about them already then why not tell him? She raised her hand, "While schools probably don't really count all that much, Our houses are defintely exclusive groups and they were founded by people and have a purpose so; Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, sir?" |
Whoa. She better speak up soon or each and every organization that's ever been formed would already be named. She sort of already thought they had, though. Nevertheless, she really should speak up and say something. Raising her hand, she said, "Specific Quidditch teams, sir. The British and Irish League was formed in 1674, and it includes the Appleby Arrows; Ballycastle Bats; Caerphilly Catapults; Falmouth Falcolns; Holyhead Harpies; Kenmare Kestrels; Montrose Magpies; Pride of Portree; Puddlemere United; Tutshill Tornados; Wigtown Wanderers; and the Wimbourne Wasps." |
OOOH! He'd already said a few but Clifford couldn't resist thrusting his hand in the air again. Sure, he was greedy. "I heard that Nearly Headless Nick dude talking about some club.. the Headless Hunt or something.. there's even clubs for the dead ghosties." |
William had realized his mistake right after he had said it and right on cue his face went as red as a beet and he felt like ducking under the table. Raising his hand he tried another one, "Campaign for Greater Freedom for Wizards was another I think." He said still blushing horribly. |
Lyra raised her hand as there was one that she was familiar with but not everyone was. "Sir, there are secret groups such as...The PINK LADIES." Okay! So not everyone knew who they were, and there was a reason for that. Her green eyes looked to Banana and to Cela and grinned. |
"There were... secret clubs such as the Order of Slytherin, which was formed within our school quite a few terms back," Lawliet said quietly, without any further information. Some things were better left unsaid, after all. As he finished talking, he pulled out a quill and a piece of parchment and started writing down all the different teams, clubs and societies that had been talked about thus far. |
Ethan added more of the suggestions to the list on the board. Quote:
Ethan flicked his wand at the board again. Quote:
"You may define 'good', 'bad' and 'neutral' however you like and as long as you can explain your reasoning behind it your answer will not be wrong. I'll give you a litte while to work on this now." Truebridge told them. |
darn >_< i hate staying IC at times Ohhhhh dear. THIS was where Jake PHAILED. Oh yes... he was never any good at that 'What would you say is good? What would you say is bad?' Psychologists knew how to make that stuff boring after a while. Basically, the only thing Jake was sure of, was being unsure, and so, sighing slightly, Jake wrote down EVERY single one under his 'unsure' heading. He had, of course, taken a look at them... but... it was too hard. Maybe he'd figure it out later, and maybe he wouldn't be seen as lazy. Dude, Jake really HATED the way his mind worked |
"umm,Sir,I would define SPEW as good. Its very a good move,to establish welfare for elfs cause Elfs has their own life that nobody must take by making them house elves or slaves."Cedric said as his hand is raised. |
