The first thing you notice when you step into the office is all the interesting do-hickeys. A lot of them are similar to the ones that had been in place when Cassandra Rae was headmistress but, there were a number of new ones as well. The most notable aspect of the space was the seemingly disorganized nature of it. Books, parchment, quills, ink, instruments, cauldrons, phials, and all number of items littered the shelves and any other flat surface available. You couldn't see the top of the desk and it was surprising that the seats were even available. Aside from the chairs (or at least most of them), the only thing not covered in various bits and pieces is the elegant baby grand piano stuffed in a corner of the crowded room.
The headmaster is a tall, relatively young, wizard with unkempt robes and dirty plastic glasses. He looks more like the auror he'd been than the headmaster he's become, a big brother rather than an authority figure. He smiles as you walk in (assuming you got past the gargoyle, that is ).

"Don't talk about dying, Lynny. You will be fine. We will figure something out." He was glad that he was a good actor. 'cause he really didn't believe what he was saying to her.
Cy was in awe at what just happened. The Princess, she’d done it, or had she? Anyways, Cy threw a fist in the air in victory. “Don’t mess widd’us.” He said, then pounded his chest with his fist.
Setting his eye on that merwoman princess, he landed his broom near her. “Thanks.” For once, his voice wasn’t annoyingly loud. He was in awe of her odd beauty. “Can I touch you?” He asked, goofy grin playing on his lips. “Unless you’re in a hurry.”
Please Arethusa please! Cy wanted to TOUCH you!

"Your school will be restored by morning. Thank you again for your help, I am forever indebted to Hogwarts." Arethusa swam out, the water turning clear and swirling in her wake.
Jack just stood like a statue, except his eyes were blinking. It was over just like that? He was in shock. Indecision swept over him. What if it was a trick? He could seem to get his head around the idea that it was all over.

Arethusa lifted her head and addressed the humans. "I am sorry for the hardships that have befallen you all and I thank you for your help setting me free. I will restore your school and your possessions. I will heal all injuries within my power, though that unfortunately does not include any caused by my brother's trident. His magic is stubborn."

Yeah, YOU heard her, Aornos. Take your little army of merpeople and get the heck out of here!
The Princess was going to restore the school AND their possessions? All right! Reese was going to get her guitar back! She was starting to worry about that, seeing as she has had that guitar since she was 11 and she loved it so much. She could just hug the Princess right now, but decided against it. Merpeople don't like hugs, do they?

Reese turned to Torin, who looked really really sad at the moment. He was starting to care about this girl, wasn't he? Strange how one minute he wanted to trade her in for the Princess and the next he cares about her. And people say she's hormonal. Pssh. "It's okay, Torin. I'm sure she'll be okay," she said.

Jack noticed that the water was draining from the room. Perhaps it was over after all. He slowly started making his was out of the Headmasters Office and back to the dorm. A good nights sleep was in order.

He smiled at Reese when she talked to him. He had almost forgot all about her. But she might be right... He had to stay positive like he kept pretending to be.
"Look, the water's draining!" he said suddenly as he realized it was getting shallower in there.
The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas.
William blinked as the princess said goodbye and as she left the water turned clear and began to empty itself. She truly was the most amazing thing he had ever seen, and he had seem a lot of weirdness in his time. Gripping his broom he lowered himself, wincing at the stabbing pain in his shoulder which he now felt more than ever. It was nothing compared to what Aislynn was feeling though and he looked at her with pain in his eyes.

Everything seemed to be fading around her. "Torin, do you mind helping me to the waiting room?" Lynny didn't think she was going to make, and not just to the hospital wing.

"Of course I will, Lynny," he said to her trying to smile. "I'm going to have to carry you though." The girl looked like she might pass out in any moment. She was suffering from blood loss. They were not going to lose Lynny.

"Don't be silly, Lynny. You will make it." And with that, he lifted her up in his arms and made his way out of the Office. He was worried by just how light she was.
As Arethusa said, the water was drained out, the injuries healed, and everything was restored to normal... everything... except the little Gryffidor girl.

Dani smiled. It was over! She leaned against Nathanial and fell asleep again. It had been a long day. She figured they weren't coming back, the water was practically gone. She sighed contentedly, asleep on a practical stranger.

Vindictus lowered his wand and the effects of his spell subsided. He sighed rather loudly and looked at the kids. "I think we all need some chocolate after dealing with this," he said with the old familiar twinkle in his blue eyes. "Brownies. Gooey, chocolatey brownies." He landed and dismounted from his broom. "Anyone who has a school broom, please return them in person to the rack in the Broomshed and if you don't have a broom, stop by anyway for some brownies. Or if you don't like chocolate, there'll be some blueberry muffins and other sweet treats."
Yes, things were normal once more at Hogwarts. Vindictus's appetite said so.

...and just like that, everything seemed to take a turn for the better. Finally. Aornos had just begun the journey back to the lake, but when he turned around and gave one last look, Anna stuck her tongue out at him and made a face. She wasn't sure if he saw her or not, but it sure made her feel better all the same. That greedy merdude had caused far too much destruction at Hogwarts.
When Arethusa started talking, Anna turned her attention from brother to sister. "Thank you for your help, Arethusa," she said, not having time to say too much more. Aornos and Arethusa had both gone back to the lake for good by now. She wasn't sure if she'd ever see them again, but in Aornos' case, the longer he stayed away, the better. As for Arethusa, she wouldn't be so bad to run into at one point and time. Of course Anna wouldn't be here at Hogwarts anymore anyway.
No one had to wonder for too long how the water would be drained from the castle, for it immediately started draining itself shortly after the creatures left the castle. Anna gave a little fist pump into the air, then began making her way out the office.

Ohh, a chocolate party! Anna eyes practically danced with excitement as Professor Vindictus listed all sorts of goodies that would be available in the broomshed. She wouldn't miss that for the world! "Cool, sir! Thanks!" she exclaimed. "See ya there!" Feeling better than she had all school year, Anna strolled out of the headmaster's office. She felt happy that the school would be returned to normal just in time for her to graduate.

William watched as the water disappeared from the headmasters office and knew that it was gone from the other floors too. The flooding was over, blue skies would once again hang over hogwarts and things could get back to normal. Flying towards the ground he dismounted and held onto the broom, the trusty school broom. giving it a loving pat he turned his blue eyes shining, "Chocolate party woot!" he grinned, pumping his fist in the air. Hey he deserved to pump his fist, and noticed that his shoulder was healed. Too bad he couldn't personally thank the princess buit she had other important things to do.
Nodding to Vindtictus he smiled before waving and saying, "See you in a bit professor, and thanks for all your help." yeah as if he needed thanking, he was a professor he could do anything. Turning on his heel he made his way out of the headmasters office with a smile on his face.

Sarah had flown back in with the rest, back from the lake. With wand at the ready she had been prepared to fight some more, but it wasn't needed. The Princess had come and ordered her brother away,Willie had poured some kind of potion into the water making Aornos compliant, and the water was slowly seeping away. The only blot on the horizon was the injury to the Gryffindor student, the one that couldn't be healed by the Princess. What would happen to her? She wasn't looking too good, truth be told, and Sarah was concerned for her, even though she didn't know her.Watching as the girl was taken to the hospital wing,Sarah's head snapped round at the sound of Professor Vindictus talking. They'd get CHOCOLATE BROWNIES!?!?! So cool!
Dismounting from her broom,Sarah felt her legs go wobbly.Must be the cold making them like that,I really should get changed into dry robes....and get down the broomshed.
Smiling with satisfaction she made her way out of the Headmasters Office and back towards the common room to change.
"Professor, sometimes I think you just read my mind," Becca grinned at the man, dismounting her broom next to him as the water gradually lowered then disappeared. "Will there be cookies, too?" She hoped that was included in the other sweet treats category. MMMM cookies. But... brownies would do, she supposed. Her stomach did the thinking and led her out of the Headmaster's office, completely pumped for some yummy goodness.
It was finally OVER and that would mean no more flooding, no more water and no more evil merpeople attacking. Cam felt goooooood. He looked over at Torin and the girl who did not get healed, wondering what had happened to Lupa. Was she...? He didn't know and he didn't want to know.
BUTWAIT.
Broooowniess?! YES. YAY. He dismounted from his broom and decided to follow the others to the broomshed.

Reese lowered her broom the the ground and walked over to Torin. She gave him a little hug and then Professor Vindictus said something about...did he just say brownies? Gooey, chocolatey brownies? "Bye Torin," she quickly said as she headed out the door after everyone else who was heading towards the broomshed.

James Longbottom knocked on the Headmasters office door. "Um, Headmaster?" He looked at his papers. A letter from his mother, great! And he had to show it to t he Headmaster. Alrighty. While James waited for an answer he read the letter again:
Dear Headmaster,
I am the mother of respectful student James Longbottom and I am concerned on the recent happenings at your institution. Werewolves, floods, and united houses! This Hogwarts was not the Hogwarts of my childhood and I wish that my son leave your school. I believe he can better get an education elsewhere. But before anything happens, we need your approval.
Sincerely,
A concerned mother: Julie Longbottom
