"UGH!" the headmaster exclaimed as he came down his stairs only to get his socks SOAKING wet. "This has gone far enough!" He ignored his wet socks and started searching for his shoes. He'd had something of a prophetic moment and needed to get to the Ministry ASAP so he could get back yesterday and finally sort out his flooding nonsense. Power hungry merpeople... Didn't they have enough problems with Voldemortist on the loose? Now they had to deal with dark merlords, too?

He finally found his shoes, put the soaking shoes over his soaking socks and hoped his floo powder was dry. It was. So, he tossed some in the fire and hurried over to the Ministry of Magic....

An hour later...

Pepe arrived back at the castle and hurried out of his soggy office to check things out.

Aornos was now in the office and his voice could be heard throughout the school.

Quietly, Professor Vindictus flew up the passage and into the office. Whoa, dude! He's ugly! His wand was drawn and pointed at Aornos. Now he had to act before the fish started screeching.

"SUUUUUSSSSSHHHHHIIIIIII!"

And he fired off a disarming spell at the king fish.

Aornos saw the man and screeched for his merpeople to attack him, but then the bright light hit his massive trident and it flew out of his hands.

Chris flew in right behind Professor Vindictus and pointed his wand at the Great kind Fish's chest as yelled "Stupify!!!" He hoped it would work and it would be quick.

Aornos was an open target.

He opened his royal mouth to screech for help but it was too late. A glassy expression was fixed on his face as he was momentarily unable to react.

Stupid wizards.

Lynny copied Chris's actions and pointed her wand at BIG angry fish man. "STUPIFY!" she yelled. Wow! Magic was so awesome. She was so gleeful, she almost couldn't contain herself. She wanted to try a new spell, "RELASHIO!!"

'OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG!!!' Chris was momentarily frozen he had just stunned the Merking!! he looked incrediously over at Professor Vindictus.

Oh, wait. Gulp.

They were casting spells now, which meant...oh, Merlin...time for her take on the big guy. Double gulp. Anna flew through the air, circling Aornos a few times while eyeing the key. That Harry Potter was lucky...the key he needed was just attached to a set of wings. Broken wings, but wings, nonetheless. The key Anna needed was attacked to a freaking merperson, of all things. Some people had all the luck...sheesh.

Alright, Aornos. It's you versus me. Head Girl versus Head Mer. Apparent stupidity versus definite insanity.

Upon seeing that Chris' spell seemed to freeze the merman for good, Anna dove in, advancing on Aornos with quite a nice speed. Halfway there, she released her right hand from the broom, and she held it straight out towards the creature. If she continued at this angle, she'd be able to hopefully grasp the key and yank it off Aornos' neck. When she was close enough, she reached forward and made a nice grab, hoping she'd get lucky and be able to snatch the key away from Aornos and turn away in time.

MASTER!

NoOoOooOOOOO!

From the depths of the murky water, several grindylows reached up and grabbed the tail twigs of the human's (unicornkeeper07) broom.

"STUPEFY! RELASHIO! STUPEFY! STUPEFY! RELASHIO! STUPEFY!" he yelled out, hitting the Grindylows and they grabbed the broom.

Nathaniel had followed Anna into the Headmasters Office. Wow.. he'd never been in here. What a great way to see it for the first time! He sure hoped that Anna would get that key. All of this needed to END. His wand was still out and he was ready for anything.. maybe..

Dani fell off her broom when Aornos screeched. Her broom was too high up to reach. Arrgh. Then she saw the grindylows. "Stupefy! Stupefy!" She sent stunning spells at them. She was so never fighting an epic battle ever again.

With each spell that was fired off, the grindylows multiplied by ten and began to swarm the office.

Nathaniel saw it out of the corner of his eye. The girl he was trying to help earlier was falling. He gripped his broom tight and dove down to catch her.

Chris saw Torin throw the powder for their escape and saw where the Grindylows were he fired "Stupify! Stupify!" at them hopefully stunning enough of them that they could all make it out when Anna got the key and the room was dark.

Reese wanted to turn right back around when she heard Professor Vindictus scream 'Sushi!'. But, no, she had to stay and fight. Plus, she wanted to stay here with Anna. She wanted to be here for her friend. "STUP-" She was about to finish the spell until she saw Chris had stunned the thing.

Whooooo! GO CHRIS! She did a little mental dance inside her head to cheer Chris on. Instead of finishing off the spell, she kept her wand pointed at Aornos, but then noticed the Grindylows attacking Aislynn's broom. Oh, no! She started towards the girl, but noticed as more spells hit the grindylows the more the mulitplied. Not good. NOT GOOOOD! She kept her distance in the air, then things started to get darker. She did really want to be in the dark with the grindylows in the water below her.

Great. There were a lot of grindylows. And now it was getting dark. Nooooo! She flailed a little and kept sending stunners at the little freaks. She was terrified. Where was her knight in shining armor now??

And then he caught her. The boy from earlier. "Thank you." She tried to smile at him. But she was still scared and shaking.

Aornos' piercing screech echoed throughout the school as the effects of the stunning spell wore off. Trident, I need my trident! Stupid wizards.

Lynny looked down and felt weight on her broom. "Aww, you're the cutie patooties that like to eat vomit," she said sweetly. Then her whole demeanor changed into rage. These little things were not pleasant. She did not like them!

"RELASHIO!!! RELASHIO!!! STUPIFY!!! STUPIFY!!! STUPIFY!!! You evil little cutie patooties! To even think I thought you would make good pets!" Lynny was getting good with spells. Each spell made their way to hit their target! "HA! HA!" She pointed to more of them and flew higher and higher away from the water. "RELASHIO!!! STUPIFY!!!"

But then she noticed they were multiplying. Then she flipped her wand around and hit them on the head to knock them unconscious on the head. "Get off you evil patooties! NAUGHTY!! NAUGHTY!!"

Nathaniel was soo relieved to catch the girl. He had wondered for a few seconds if he was going to. "You're welcome" he responded to her blushing. He helped her get settled on his broom. Well, so far so good. He'd not broken anything yet."Umm.. what now?" he asked the girl

Chris could have screamed in both anger and fear. He woke up!? 'I am tired of this!' he thought to himself and sent another stunning spell his way. "Stupifyyy!!!!!!!!" he shouted as loud as he could with as much intensity as he could. he hated that thing for ruining the school, getting in the way of his classes, and ruining everyone's good fun at Hogwarts.
