At the sound of his name, his conciousness stepped back into the here and now. "I was only.." Hesitating, he swallowed the pride trying to come out of his mouth. "I had a gift for the house elves that I wanted to share with Ms. Moon here. I was hoping to make amends for my past behavior. Though it seems I am only compounding my debt to you both." As embarassed as he felt, he stood tall and proud like a soldier. Surely slouching was a punishable offense as well. |
Kazimeriz smirked at the boy, his eyes narrow and darkly hooded. "I see. How interesting it is that in the kitchens, you claimed that Miss Moon was escorting you to me for detention. Yet here, your story changes. Your tongue tells two tales, much like a serpent, the king of lies. Perhaps this is the source of the 'royal blood' you claim... Prince." Kazimeriz smirked and drew his wand, flicking it at Helios and casting a silent charm to transfigure his tongue into the forked tongue of a snake. ooc: for the record, I'd received permission from Helios and Krissy OOC to cast as needed. |
Krissy flinched as the professor cast a spell on Helios. She let out a small gasp when she saw what had been done to the boy's tongue. Knowing better than saying anything she sat on her hands and tried to remember that teachers were not allowed to permanently harm students. Shutting her eyes tightly she let out a small whimper. |
"Hsssss.." It had felt as if his tongue had been split in half. Oh yeah, it was. "Ssssssurely you would permit me a lassst meal with Krisssssy before you ssssseal my fate?" He was from the land of the basilisk, and his wand was made from hydra tongue, so he knew a little bit about serpents. But he hated the speech impediment. |
Krissy gaped at Helios... was the boy honestly asking for a meal with her? she shook her head and hoped this would be over soon. Looking back to Kazimirez she waited for her punishment. |
Kazimeriz glowered at the boy. "You could learn a thing or two about responsibility and respect from Miss Moon, boy. Look at the way she entered, admitted her errors and acquiesed to her punishment, meanwhile you sit here, lying and pleading. She is twice the man you are, and deserves more than the little you offer." Kazimeriz nodded to Moon deferentially. "Meaning no insult, of course, Miss Moon." Kazimeriz looked back at Sunrider. "You sit owe me detention from last term. But first, we settle this matter. Your first task shall be to go to Professor Bunbury. I have already informed her that you will be appearing before her. You will go this very day, after I dismiss you. You are to work as her personal--"slave"--attendant and general assistant, completing any tasks she sets you diligently, competently, and without complaint or excuse." Kazimeriz eyed the boy. "And to ensure that you are not.." He eyed Moon and cast a silent spell. On her, this time. "distracted... Until further notice you will remain out of the company of Miss Moon. If you choose to come within five feet of her for any reason outside of my presence, you will cause her excruiciating, intolerable pain. I am the only one who can remove this curse. Do not try to remove it yourself, unless you seek to make things worse for your brave and noble friend. Miss Moon, if you try to take on the pain, as a Gryffindor might do, you will cause the curse to fall upon Mr. Sunrider as well... so you will do well to stay far from one another... and hope that my health does not continue to fail, for if I fall this curse shall be permanent. That is all; you are dismissed." |
Krissy felt like she had been punched in the gut. Being without her best friend was one thing, but being without her fiance'? That was going to be torture. Standing slowly she nodded. "I understand professor. I suppose I shall leave first so I can avoid the pain..." She whispered. Looking at Helios up close for the last time in she didn't know how long she sighed. " Do yer penance, Work as you should and I will be waiting." With her head held high she stepped through the door leading her once again to the Gargoyle. |
"You want me to ssssspy on her, sssssir? You only needed to assssk." As much as Kaz wanted to break the boys spirit, Helios couldn't help but smile. Like Anna and professor Vindictus, it appeared to be his chance to prove his worth by reporting on the staff. Bowing his head to the old man, he then turned away from him to face Krissy. There was nothing he could say to fix this, so he stayed silent. The only emotion he allowed himself to express came through the brief hug he gave her before heading towards the door. |
Kazimeriz sat in the headsmaster's chair in the now fastidiously tidy office, making notes and managing correspondance when he saw that Upstead had, at last arrived. "I will see him now." he told the small gargoyle on the desk. "Enter." |
You better believe that scared the HECK out of Jake. Mhmm, oh yes it did. Kazi's voice always did... it was just... RAWRRRRR whenever Jake seemed to hear it. Unable to stop himself muttering about insufferable old men, Jake had gone past the lickle gargoyle and gone up, up, up to the headmaster's office. Once there, he knocked on the door and held his breath. |
"You may come in, Mr. Upstead." Kazimeriz said, not looking up from his paperwork. |
Insufferable... tall... evil... tall... miser... Letting out the breath he'd been holding, Jake went ahead and entered the door, his eyes immediately noting the tidiness of the office. Sure, Jake was a firm advocate of being organised... but, this was kind of... scary. Wrinkling his nose at the lack of the friendliness that he was sure he'd be picking up on if Bontecou was there, Jake lingered awkwardly by the door. |
"Sit down, Mr. Upstead." Kazimeriz said curtly when he heard a commotion down at the gargoyle. He glanced at the crystal on the desk. Ah, Project Toussaint returns. "I will let them in." He told the gargoyle. "There is no need to raise a fuss, Mr. Morgan. Enter." |
"You've got to admit, Sir Kazimeriz, this whole thing," Plymouth nodded to the comatose Cela in his arms, "is a pretty good reason to raise a fuss. She hasn't said anything ... in a while. And I don't think I've shut up in hours. My throat hurts. I need a hug. ANd if Cela doesn't get fixed soon, I might just shrivel up and croak." Plymouth might have been experiencing a mini-breakdown. Maybe. Probable. He put Cela in a chair and took the bag of goods from her. "It's all there. And Cela did SO good - I bet she did good enough to earn a whole 10 points. You know, if I were you." OKAY NOW JUST FIX HER. Plymouth's foot went to work with the tap tap tapping while he waited for the old man to get the lead out. |
short post ftw "Oh hey back again." Celandine murmured and promptly went back to staring at nothing. |
Merlin with a frightwig dancing the can-can, the girl was really bad off! "Upstead, you'll have to wait." Kazimeriz tossed a comment at the previous visitor as he saw to Miss Toussaint's condition. He checked her fingernail beds- they were slightly blue. Her breathing: shallow. Heart rate: steady, but slow. The little girl looked like a sleeping fairy tale princess, if not for the faint blue-green tinge of her lips and fingers. And she looked far too much like -- No, no, away with that! Do not think of her-- not now. Later, perhaps. Hell, have a breakdown if you like. But iight now, see to Miss Toussaint. Save her. "Go get Miss Avalon. Tell her to bring her strongest invigoration draught, euphoria elixir, and a vial of vitality vapors and anything else she has in her arsenal to combat an overdose of anti-lusting potion." He hadn't wanted to tell the boy what Miss Toussaint suffered from, but her potential embarrassment had to be put aside in favor of saving her. "The three combined will have side effects I'd hoped to avoid, but she is too close to... Just go." He looked up at Morgan, a suspicious shimmer in his eyes that might've just been a trick of the light... or might be welling tears. The boy hadn't moved. "Are you deaf, boy?! Invigoration draught! Euphoria elixir! Vitality Vapors! GO!" He turned back to do what he could for Miss Toussaint, drawing his wand and casting a soft, singsong charm over her. |
"Ummm..." Plymouth didn't DO so well with pressure. Things like time limits and yelling just... didn't make him work at full capacity. Add a crying old man and a blue comatose girlfriend to the mix... Regardless, he was startled enough to start moving. "Okay... okay..." And Plymouth left, just like that. |

And he was old so... ... no cooties. |
"There, now. Save your energy." Kazimeriz said, wiping a tear away before it could fall. If Upstead ever speaks of this I'll serve him to the giant squid for lunch. Kneeling beside her despite the creaky old knees, he continued his curious, musical healing spell, casting a pale yet somehow energetic pink light over the girl. Hopefully, giving her a little vitality, until Cari could arrive. |

... yeah. Relaxed. Trusted him and stuff. "Oh I like pink sir, it's pretty and makes me happy like candy used to. What's your favourite candy, sir?" |
"Fairy floss." Kazimeriz said with a tiny smile, then continued to cast softly, not breaking the pink glow for a moment. "Shhhhh... keep still; conserve energy, Miss Toussaint. Miss Avalon will be along shortly. Just be peaceful. Try to rest." |

"My favourite kind used to be hot chilli candy and then caramel and now I just like water better 'cos sometimes it's sweeter." |
Kazimeriz smiled, recalling. "My Penelope liked the chili candies; anything with spice, really. I never had a taste for them, though I did enjoy caramels in my youth." The spell was having one positive effect, it was pulling her back into herself a bit. He continued casting. |

She let out a little sigh and yawn and stared through the pink aura at nothing again. |
Plymouth was kind of at the end of his limit. This whole ordeal was stretching his capacities for stress - and running - to new levels. Gasping and sweaty once more, Plymouth jogged into Krazi's office. "I ... got... her. She's... coming. Heels. Coming." Plymouth wiped his forehead on his sleeve then moved to the back of Cela's chair to peep over at her. He wanted to ask SOOOOOO many questions, but for once, Plymouth was just quiet. |
