Lynny leaned on Torin for support. "I'm not leaving, n-n-not..." she took in a deep breath, "...not until I s-see B-BIG angry f-f-fish m-man go..." She hissed out of pain, "...goes down!" Her breathing was slowing, she had her wand ready for furious broomstick man's command. She smiled sweetly at him, "P-plus don't y-y-you want to see what w-w-will h-happen?" She forced a giggle.

William turned slightly as he heard professor Vindictus, thinking hard. "Yes, I think I do have something professor. It's the potion I got during Potions class, the Gregory's Unctious Unction. It'll make anyone who drinks it into my best friend. But how would we get him to drink it?" He asked a frown on his face. If it worked then things would go much smoother, especially for them all and the merpeople.

Lynny was getting colder and more pale. "W-whatever y-y-you say b-b-boss!" She laughed and that turned into a cough. "I'll b-b-b-be okay," she reassured him with a grin.

Jack heard Professor Vindictus and held his wand at the ready.

"Pour it in the water after Arethusa responds," Vindictus said and his protective spell grew stronger.

Ignoring the students and not taking her eyes of her brother, Arethusa remained stoic. "It is not, you stole the key, which was rightfully mine and now you will submit to me."

Hand still on the key, her other began tracing rapid images in the air, tiny dots of luminescence flickering in unison with the now shining key. Arethusa began to sing a powerful song which vibrated almost painfully through the air, causing all glass in the room to crack and shatter.

She was not sounding good at all. And she was pale and cold to the touch. "You will get help soon, Lynny. I promise." Where was the stinking Nurse when you needed her! He tried not to let the worry show too much as he said, "you are a good fighter."


Suddenly there was a loud song in the air. He had to try so hard not to cover his ears when he was holding onto Lynny. It was so bad he was wincing.

William nodded. Of course, it made sense! Pouring it into the water would hopefully get some, if not most of the merpeople, especially Aornos to think they were his best friend. How could he not think of that! Getting his face to normal he felt in his pocket for the small vial of potion and held it in his hand, eying the merpeople under him. He would wait patiently, and when Arethusa responded he would do it.

There! she had spoken and began to sing a song. taking the potion out of his pocket he didn't hesitate as he uncorked it, pouring its contents into the water. Please let this work he thought watching to see what would happen.

Jack watched as the young Ravenclaw poured something into the water. Without thinking, he crossed the fingers of his wandfree hand, hoping for miraculous results.

Oh so someone had some potion thingy?

Cam eyed the boy, who he remembered was almost hit by 5 spears earlier from the day. Pooootion? Best friend? OOOOH. He didn't really know what or how that was gonna happen really, because he wondered if Aornos even had a good side. The merman was made of evil. PUUURE evil.

Then suddenly, Arethusa was doing something with her other hand and the key shined. SHIIIINNYYYY. But she started singing, a song that had broken and shattered the glasses in mere seconds. "AUGGH," he shouted in pain, covering his ears with his hand. This was worse than their screeching. It hurt WAAAY more than that. Resting his head on the broom handle, he pushed his hands to his ears just to stop that vibrating pain.

His eyes were still open though, watching as the boy named William dropped the potion dooooown down into the water.

Aornos was about to throw his trident at his sister, Arethusa, when something strange invaded his scaly body. He looked at her with a glazed expression and lowered his weapon. "Why are you screaming, sis?" He blinked twice. "Are these wizards harming you? I can poke them for you."

"P-P-Poke them f-f-for you?" Lynny laughed. "I-I th-th-think he's already m-managed th-th-that." She was trying to keep her strangth up and remain positive. She could feel her side getting worse, the blood had already seemed through and she could feel it oozing down her side on her bandaged leg. She kept a smile on her face, maybe it would help ignore her pain.

"Aornos, brother. Traitor. Go home and take with you those who helped you betray me. You will be punished." Arethusa's voice was hard but there was a flash of compassion in her fishy eyes.

Arethusa lifted her head and addressed the humans. "I am sorry for the hardships that have befallen you all and I thank you for your help setting me free. I will restore your school and your possessions. I will heal all injuries within my power, though that unfortunately does not include any caused by my brother's trident. His magic is stubborn."

"Traitor? Me? You must be mistaken. I love you, sister!" Aornos cried out. He knew that his sister would be much more reasonable back in their ancestral lake. But he gave one last look and swam away with his followers trailing him.

He listened to the Princess speak and his face fell. "You can't help Lynny?" he asked sadly. What were they going to do when not even the Princess could heal her?

He stopped pushing his hands on his ears once he heard Aornos's booming voice. What? Poke? What? If anyone was going to poke--he'd have to poke them first. Maybe the potion worked? Did it? Cam eyed Princess Arethusa and mentally cheered for her when she told her brother that he WILL be punished.

Hmph. Served the fishman RIGHT. WOOTGOARETHUSAYOU'REAWEOMSE.EPIC.AWEOMSEMJDAHLHLHF . He continued babbling random gibberish and cheering in his mind, and he clapped his hands happily when... wait what. RESTORE POSSESSIONS?

"My stash of chocolaaaateee!" WOOT. YAY. CHOCOLATE BE REVIVEDDDD. And he watched in disgust as Aornos swimming away with his merpeople and grindylows following him. CLAPCLAPCLAP. Cam started clapping his hands wiildly and excitedly.

Awakened from their stunned state, the merwomen scowled at their fate. The largest merwoman flicked her fin and swished behind, the others following suit, lined up behind Aornos in a militant and protective manner as he left the Headmaster's Office.

"F-F-Figures," Lynny sarcastically. She was barely holding herself up at this point. She smiled, "If I-I-I d-d-d-die it w-w-was for a g-good c-c-cause r-r-right?" She laughed, which turned into coughing again, this time it was worse, she could taste the bitterness of the blood in her mouth, but tried to conceal it.
