Lynny was able to dodge the spell, but the trident came so quickly that it cut her on the side of her stomach, then she felt a swift blow to the back of the head that knocked her off her broom and towards the water. "AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" She screamed as she was soaring through the air. |
Vindictus watched as everything happened too fast for him to react and he saw the Gryffindor girl land in a heap next to an unconscious Alessia. He raised his wand and began swiriling it around. A faint blue light eminated from the tip of his wand and swirled around the humans in the room, protecting them in a transparent blue shield. |
"LYNNY!!" he called out sadly as she fell. He wanted to badly to help her, but he didn't know what to do. He started to panic. It was all his fault. He was the one that was supposed to watch her. He knew that she was in a fragile state. So he just stood there like a frantic idiot while he watched Vindictus perform some kind of magic. |

http://i835.photobucket.com/albums/z...gterm/STSO.jpg She was stopped shortly, as were they all, by the force of the spell casted. Collectively, they were appeared to be stunned, frozen in their expressions and slowly sinking to the bottom of the Headmaster's Office. |
Lynny landed on something. She could barely move. Her whole body was aching. If that BIG angry fish man thought she was going down so easily, well he was wrong! Beside her was her wand and fallen broomstick. Lynny picked up her wand and was more furious then ever. The trident didn't belong to him, or her, she knew it rightfully belonged to that princess they rescued. She kind of rolled on her broom and forced herself to sit up on the broom and started to fly back up in the air. Her lip was busted open, her forehead and side bleeding. She didn't care. If she was going to die, it was for a good cause. "I'm not dead yet," she grunted. |
"Please, Lynny. You need to go to the hospital wing," he called out to her desperately. "You're really hurt, Lynny. Let someone else get the Trident back." If Lynny was seriously hurt - or killed - it would be all his fault. He was really scared for her now. "Lynny, please." Why didn't he have his broom on him? Where was his broom? |
William was made of utter fail. he had decided that he didn't want to risk his life in the lake to save the princess, a fact he was feeling utterly disappointing. But he had seen everyone come back up and had heard a rumor that everyone was okay so he had picked up his broom again and kicked off flying for the headmasters office once more, where he knew he was needed most. He felt comfortable flying now, which was completely strange for him as he flew back into the controlled mayhem, wand out. flying toward professor Vindictus he nodded to him to let him know silently that he was ready to do what was needed. turning back to face the merwomen, he didn't look scared, no it was a controlled look of annoyance now. |
Vindictus was holding the spell and heard the Gryffindor girl speak. "You will remain where you are and tend to Professor Lupa!" He knew one thing. If the girl did cast a spell, his protective shield would no longer protect her from any harm. |
Anastasia zooomed back through the open window and almost collided with Max there. "What's going on?" she asked loudly, her eyes narrowing on the bleeding, dazed, weird-looking trident-loving Gryffindor. "Oh no. That one." Why was it always the Gryffindors that insisted on being idiots first? |
Still on broomstick, Cy flew through the castle and zoomed to the Headmaster’s office as quickly as he could. Perhaps Arethusa was already there? Hopefully, if everything was going to alleviate. Grinning wryly as he spotted the entrance, the skillful Quidditch player maneuvered into the office. Once in there, he drew his wand (like it would matter, honestly…). He didn’t see the mer-princess. Darn. Frowing slightly, he flew over by the Quidditch instuctor. “SSAAAHH! Sir,” He said, clearly out of breath, “The princess. She’s on her way!” Nodding vigorously, he looked behind himself again to make sure he wasn’t being attacked from behind. |
Having retrieved the broom she'd left tilted against that tree down at the lake, Anna flew back into the headmaster's office, hovering a few feet above the water just as she'd done the last time she was here. The last she heard, Arethusa was supposed to be meeting them here. Was she here yet? Anna didn't see her, but maybe she'd arrive soon. One could only hope, that is. "Professor Vinductus! W---we freed her! Myrtle led us to the cave, and Cam opened it. Arethusa is on her way here now," she whispered to him. A bit out of breath, Anna stopped talking and simply hovered. Oh, where was Arethusa? Surely nothing had happened to her on the way here..., right? |
At some point in Becca's mad race back to the castle, she used her head and accio'd her broom. That screeching just NEEDED to stop. Simply awful. She flew into the room, wand out, and swerved around above the frightening-looking crabbypants merpeople, making her way for Vindictus. "This place is crazy," was the only thing she said upon seeing the Gryffindor girl who had taken off after the trident from the cave. She didn't look so good... That boy... Cy was there, too. She nodded in agreement as he spoke. "THE princess," she added for emphasis. Because it was totally a big deal. |

"I-I'm f-f-fine Torin," she forced a smile and then flew away from him on her broom. She was tempted to go try and get the trident back, but Lynny decided not to argue with the furious broom man and went over to this Professor Lupa on her broom, but she kept her eye open. She didn't know what she could possibly do, she was no healer. She looked down and her side was in extreme amount of pain. She could feel the warm blood seaping through her shirt. She got off her broom a few feet away and stumbled to the ground before she could reach her. Her whole body ached and she felt so cold. |
When Lynny fell he felt a mixture of concern and relief. She wasn't flying anymore. But she was really injured. He rushed over to her and grabbed her. She was still safe in the protective shield. "I'm taking you to the nurses." |
Cam flew right back to the Headmaster's office from the broken window, then... what was happening really...? Gryffindor-girl, the trident-obsessed one, WAS SHE DEDED? Oh. Wait. She wasn't. Oooh was the princess here already? She knew how to kick Aornos-butt, right? HOPEFULLY. "Uuuuummm..." He muttered words under his mouth and hovered higher, his head nearly touching the ceiling. Were were the meeerpeople though?! Looking closer--EEEP, they were underwater. It just frightened him even MOOREE, leaving him wondering when one was gonna pop out and snatch someone. Snatching his wand from his holster, he pointed it down the water and waited for well... something to come out. ERRR... he was CONFUSED. |
Arethusa swam through the belly of the school, down from the lake into the dungeon, up through the kitchen level, the first floor and finally to the second floor and the headmasters office. "Aornos! Stop!" Arethusa had one hand on her key and one outstretched commandingly. |
Jack entered the crowded Headmasters Office, wand in hand, and found CHAOS. He looked to Professor Vindictus and the Head Girl Anna for some sort of clue as to what was going on...and what he could do to help. Then he noticed the Princess... |
"I can still f-f-fight," she said. Lynny tried to sit back up, forcing herself with all her might. She kept one hand on her side. She still had her wand in her other hand. With what little strength she had she stood up. "We h-h-h-have to g-get that tr-tr-trident b-back! It's for the p-p-p-princess! What if sh-sh-she needs it t-to defeat B-B-BIG angry f-f-fish m-man?" Tears streamed down her face, but it was uncontrollable at this point. Then the princess appeared. "We h-have to h-h-help her!" |
"No," he said firmly as he led Lynny away form all the chaos. And the Princess was here? Suddenly he forgot about going to the Nurses. But he still was holding onto the girl tightly. She wasn't getting in any more danger. "I'm not willing to let you get hurt any more, Lynny. You already did so much as is." |
William looked shocked as Arethusa, the true heir to the throne entered the water. She looked nothing like Aornos, she was more regal looking. He hovered above the water, or as close to the top of it as he could, his head sticking out so he could breath and watched as she commanded Aornos to stop. he tilted his head at the Gryffindor girl who looked like she should seriously head to the hospital wing but of course, like all Gryffindors she was stubborn. not wanting to miss anything he turned his attention back to the princess. His wand was still pointed at Aornos, but he would not use it unless absolutely necessary. |

Aornos was now furious that HIS key was in the hands of his sister. His hands gripped his trident and he was torn between throwing it at her or just swimming over and taking back his property. |
"Keep your wands at the ready!" Vindictus called out to those who were now in the Headmaster's Office. "No one fires a single spell without the command of an adult!" He happened to glance over at Willie. "Do you have something - anything, that will make this angry fishy dude friendly?" |
Cam continued pointing his wand straight down the water, until, he heard splashes coming from the entrance. Princess...? OMGPRINCESS! He didn't know HOW she got into the castle actually--but he guessed from the dungeons. Maybe. Or by mermaid magic. He honestly didn't know. Deciding to side with the princess, he instead pointed his wand at Aornos instead of the water. The guy needed to GOO away and NEVERR come back. EEEEK. The guy was straight out furious at his own sister because of the key. Hmph. WELL SERVED HIM RIGHT. It was not his. He quietly cheered for Arethusa and hoped a battle would not ensue. Though he just had a feeling it would. Bleh. "Go Arethusa. Kick his BUTT," he quietly cheered, one hand holding on to the broom and the other hand for pointing his wand at the fishman. |

Anna steered her broom towards Arethusa and flew to a spot a good ways behind the princess, drawing her wand as she did so. The students took on Aornos before, so they could easily do it again...right? Erm, she sure hoped so...seeing that she'd now stuck herself right smack in the middle of sibling rivalry at its worst. Ohhh, something to make the fishdude friendly? What about that potion William and Daniel had received in Potions class just the other day? Wasn't it meant to cause someone to be your very best friend? How on earth they'd convince Aornos to take a potion was beyond her, though... |
