Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well. The house poem, penned by All4oliverwood:
Get up off of your seats
Ready for some fun?
You ain't seen nothin' yet
For this years just begun
Friends are rollin' in
It's faces old and new
Nothing comes between us
Dear Gryffindors be true
Outside of the castle
Ready for things to fly
Lions are soaring strong
In a game that's do or die
On this autumn night
Near the crimson fireplace

Her mood kept fluxuating, and Helena was getting very irritated by it. One second she was happy to see Chris and the next she wanted to be alone again. She wanted to bring up something about the last time they saw each other, but she had been intruding strongly on that occasion. Her jaw flexed slightly before she said, So how was the rest of your summer? Since the last time we spoke, I mean. Her tone was pleasant as usual, as though nothing was different.

I'm- The word 'fine' got stuck in her throat, and she couldn't bare to say it. Lying to the one friend she had? What good would that do? She shook her head and said, not untruthfully, I'm just very exhausted - it seems like school came a bit too early for me this year, to be honest. She sighed and chuckled slightly, remembering how sighing 'brought the mood down'. Sorry. That's good that your summer was fine. Mine was a little better after I left - I found a place back in London to stay for cheap until school. She shrugged.

Having just walked into the great Hall, Elan found himself closest to the gryffie table. Fearful of the man with the giant voice, thought he would never admit fear, Elan quickly sat down at the table and wondered what all the fuss was about and what was soooo important that this beast of a man had to frightened young school children. He looked around to see if he knew anyone.

Helena peered up at the Professor whom had just addressed the whole room and frowned slightly. As she was already sitting down, she mentally shrugged off his command and raised her eyebrows slightly in Chris's direction to see what he thought.

He was new today was his first day after transferring from drumstrang and after a day of anonymity he was dying to make some friends. He sat down and waited to see what all the fuss was about, he was starving and really hoped to find a friend.

Jane hopped to the table but stopped and walked silently after the whole hall echoed in Professor Kazimeriz's booming voice. She had just enough time to move towards this... rather interesting dude and sat down next to him, already knowing he's new. She smiled at him and looked around, hoping to find Ash or Lacey nearby. She turned to the new boy again. "Hi, Christian, I'm Jane,"she introduced herself, but in a low tone, hoping Professor Kazimeriz will not go over there himself and jinx her.

Dagobert walked into the Great Hall still quite sleepy. He spotted his table and sat down, grabbing some toast. It took him a minute to realize that something was not right.
'Wonder why everyone's so quiet,' he thought to himself. He noticed that the professors at the front had gathered together with rather worried looks on their faces. Just then, he heard a boy on his table ask if a Slytherin girl was alright. She seemed to be unconscious. Forgetting his toast, he said out loud, 'What's on earth is going on?'
