"No No No..." she said but got dragged up to the staff table anyway and as she did her eyes narrowed at the students. She'd keep an eye on them.

Fyo laughed. "Alright," he said, glad that she was finally on her feet, again. "I'm just happy you're no longer on the floor - it's cold, mate!"

Fyo blinked, before.. sort of nodding. Honestly, that was all he could think of doing! "It's probably the creepy water," he told Mat, with a shrug. "Ummm - I'm Fyo, by the way. Third year." At least he had the introductions out of the way, now.

Fyo's eyes widened slightly, before he nearly fell off his charmed shoes = skates, again. "Good day, professor," he called out politely, coming to a rest with the whole skate-y thing. "Good day to you too, Professor Lupa," he added, turning his gaze towards their Ancient Runes teacher.

Umm.. yeah.

Mat was shaking his head. Two old girls had tried to offer him an helping hand so far and for what... just simply because he had crash into the table. He could hardly see why he would need some help at this point. If he wanted to get up he would have find the way to do so. He was a boy afterall and boy didn't need girl to help them.

This was right before two professors (Lupa & Morgan), two woman to be exact arrived. He didn't remember any of their name but he noticed that one of them (Lupa) seems to be giggling at him and without thinking he stick out his tongue at her. Folding his arm in front of him, he shrugged at her. "Excuuuuuuuuuuuse me professor but do I look funny??" As he said that he took away is hand from the table which result of him falling down again. Deciding it was safer for him of staying down, he look up at her. "I think I'll stay down here." Maybe he should have taken skating lesson before coming here in the first place.

Then his attention went back toward the blinking boy (Fyo). So it was the creepy water's fault. Well he thought that at least that thing had brought something fun. "Do you think we will have this ice for the rest of the term." A sort of mischievious smile appear on his face. Off course first he needed to learn how to stand up and then... "YO FYO! I'm Matias but call me Mat... Otay dude?"

There was something about the surrounding ice that seemed to amplify each little voice in the Hall. Upon hearing the young Gryffindor's greeting, Professor Morgan turned (a little too quickly on the glassy surface) and nearly fell OFF the dias. Grabbing on to a nearby chair (that had was thankfully frozen to the ground) she tried to steady herself. Unfortunately.... she pulled back with too much force and OOPS! landed HARD on her bum. "Oww!" She said, rubbing her wet backside. That was close!

"Good day." she replied looking down; her cheeks flushed pink. She looked over at Less with a somewhat frightened expression and laughed. She wanted OFF of this platform. Though, preferably NOT headfirst.

"Umm... Why don't we skate back over there with our students. That way we can make sure no one gets hurt." She smiled, clambering around the table and down the stone steps. Once she had reached the bottom, she turned back to Less and laughed nervously. "That stays between us, right?"

Announce something nice about Reese? “Have you lost it?” He said, simply as his dark eyes scanned her. “No, no I don’t.” He said, and he forked some eggs into his mouth. And she had so much promise in the beginning! She was totally into him, no matter what she might say. (poor delusional child).

And of course, after he said ‘it’ that evil Head Girl Anna was gloating. “Don’ let it all run to yah’ head. It might just explode.” The Aussie eyed her expectantly, waiting for the chocolate frogs.

Anna took them out of her pockets and Cy grinned. “Yeah that’s right, set me free!” He commanded with his wry smirk. Whenever he was free, she was SO dead.

Apparently the Head Girl was cutting the ice, and then melting it. And before Cy knew it, he was good to go. Of course he didn’t say thanks, but, out of nowhere she was RUNNING. He made a move to get up and chase her but he slipped. “DON’T THINK THIS IS OVAH’!” He yelled after her, clutched his first.

She was going to be doomed. One of these days.

Cyrus sighed, and then looked back to Mat. MAT WAS AWESOME! The Aussie laughed heartily, “Of course you ah’ mate.” He said, grinning wryly. “Really not too much, but I’ve decided that we need to add that Head Girl to thah’ ‘list’.” He said, putting air quotations around the word list. The only other person on the list so far was Katie.

The first year almost jumped three feet into the air as his surname was called out. Chills ran down his spine, it was likely to be a Professor. Professor Lupa to be exact. “Oh, yeh’, of course. Nevah’ again.” Cy saluted her and gave a brisk, businesslike nod.

Oh and how Cy’s small, evil little grin returned. Lupa was yelling after the evil one and her minion. “Yeh’! Make them pay, they tortured me to an unforgivable degree!” Cy picked up his biscuit and bit into it methodically.

The Creatures professor was here now too. “No, they weren’t just having fun.” He said, wryly, as he eyed Reese and Anna in the distance. They were gonna be in TWUBBBLLEEE.

"Yes, Good day to you." She said trying to smile.

Alessia narrowed her eyes at him. "Who said I was laughing at you? and since when do students speak to their professors that way?" What had this world come to?

She smiled at her floored friend... "For now..." She said winking at her. "Let's go back then... I can't believe the way these kids are acting..." And she skated back... if detention was necessary, she was going to put them in there.

Alessia's eyes widened as she heard the boy and then glared at the head girl. "Anna. Bella. Greingoth." she said looking at the girl. "I am waiting for an explanation."

Anna giggled as she caught site of Reese running right after her. Ohhh, man. That had been some made-of-win fun! Anna was actually out of the Great Hall and into the corridors when she heard the voice of Profesor Lupa calling out to her and to Reese. Uh oh. Fun's over. Anna winced, then sloooooooowly turned around, walking back to the Gryffindor table with as blank of an expression as she could muster.

"Ma'am?" she asked, her voice shaking just a bit. She glanced over at Professor Morgan, giving her a small smile in appreciation for saying that they were just having fun. She knew better than to simply stand there like she had no idea what she was being called back for, though. "I'm really sorry, Professor Lupa. Cy and I have sort of joked around with one another all school year. Or, at least it's joking around for me. He annoys me...I annoy him, and we were honestly just joking around with him." She glanced from Professor Lupa...to Cy...to Professor Morgan...then back to Professor Lupa.

"He and William both got stuck in the ice when the water froze over. I told Cy that I would help him out if he'd call out....that I was the greatest girl ever. It was a joke, though. I would have gotten him out regardless. While I waited to see if he was going to say it or not, I went to help Elizabeth with William over at the Ravenclaw table," she continued, stopping to take a deep breath. "When I came back, I offered Cy five chocolate frogs to call that out, and well...he eventually did so...as well as calling me a hag. I gave him the five chocolate frogs, used diffindo to cut him out of the ice, then took off in case he decided to hex me. I'm sorry, Professor Lupa, Professor Morgan, and Cy."

Reese had already gotten up off the ground after coming to a complete stop and was following Anna to the corridor when she heard Professor Lupa's voice calling out their names. Uh oh. She bit her lower lip and turned around and headed back into the Great Hall behind Anna.

She just stood there as Anna explained everything to Professor Lupa. She nodded as she spoke. That was all true. Once Anna stopped talking, she spoke up. "I'm sorry too, Professor. Really, it was all just a joke. We would have helped Cy out if he said that announcement or not," she told the Professor. "And, just like Anna said, we left just in case Cy decided to hex or something for making him say that announcement."

"You're the Head Girl, Prefect Greingoth... you should set an example." She said skating over to the first year. She patted the boy on the head. "And you're BOTH older than he is! He's merely a first year." She then bent down to the boy and said "I'm sorry they treated you meanly." She said and then looked back up to the two. "I wish I could order you to clean his room, but you are in seperate houses..."

Alessia smirked as she put her hand on the boy's shoulder. "Prefect Greingoth, Miss Upstead. For one week, you are both to do arrans for Master Andrus. If he wants chocolate frogs, he will give you his money and you will go buy him some, if he wants you to carry his books, you will do so." She paused at looked at Cyrus, "Obviously nothing that goes against the rules, or will get the girls in trouble, like telling Professor Kazimeriz he looks like a lobalug..." She then continued to address the girls, "You will not call him Cy, but address him properly. Master Andrus, as he's not yet 13." She said and then turned to the boy and said "You can still call them Anna and Reese." She winked.

"Have I made myself clear or is a detention in order?" She threatened.

This wasn't too bad, right? It was just running arrans for a little first year. And, it was good to know that Cy Master Andrus couldn't make them do stuff that would get them into trouble. Honestly, this was MUCH better than detention.

She nodded when the Professor asked if she made herself clear. She didn't need detention this term. She promised herself last detention, which was last term, was the last detention she ever get. True, that was one big promise she made to herself, but she was doing her best trying to keep it. She looked at Anna, then to Master Andrus, then back to Professor Lupa.

Anna bit her bottom lip as she listened to the professor talk about how she should be an example to the other students, especially the younger ones. She didn't dare glance at Cy, as he was probably just simply thrilled at the sudden turn of events. She shifted her weight from one side to the other, thinking about how at any given moment she'd either lose a boatload of points of gain a detention. What a way to close out the Christmas holidays...

"Yes, ma'am," Anna said, commenting to the professor about how she should be more of an example to the students. "I understand." She was honestly happy that she hadn't been forced to clean up Cy's room. She didn't even want to think about what shape that place was in. For all she knew, Cy could keep it very neat and tidy, but she didn't want to have to find that out the hard way.

Just as Anna thought she was actually getting the easy way out, Professor Lupa spoke again. Anna's jaw slowly dropped open little by little by little. Errands for Cy? Master Andrus? But...but...that was...AHHHHH! A million and one thought were running through her hand, none of them very happy. This was going to be toture in its worst kind! Ugh. At least it was only a week, though. It could be worse. "Y---ye---yes, ma'am...," she softly said.

As the temperature warmed, the ice began to melt and the water started to rise once again at top speed. It was cold, and it seemed angered by its having been frozen.

The ground beneath Anna's feet shifted a little, causing her to suddenly realize that the formerly frozen water was now back to its liquid state. Not only that, it was rising quite rapidly, too! Her eyes flashed wide open and she grabbed onto Reese's arm. Ohhh, and she'd nearly been out of the Great Hall and on safe grounds just a few minutes earlier, too! She glanced from Reese...to Cy...to Professor Lupa, silently pleading with her eyes for someone to speak up and enlighten them with a bright idea. They couldn't just make a mad dash for it, as there were too many students in the Great Hall...they couldn't just leave them all behind!

Reese blinked a few times when she felt her feet getting...

WET?!

She quickly looked down and her eyes grew wide when she saw that the water, which was frozen not even two seconds ago, was rising at top speed. Can she hyperventilate now? "A-A-A-A-A-A-Annnnnnnna," she cried out. She was about to tap her friend, but before she could, Anna grabbed onto her arm. "It's...okay," she said, trying to keep her voice as calm as possible. She didn't want to freak out the little first years that were standing near.

She took her eyes off Anna and looked at Cy and then to Professor Lupa. She wasn't sure what they were suppose to do, but someone better be thinking of an idea. They could just run out of the Great Hall, but that would mean leaving everyone behind, but she wasn't going to do that. They needed to help people out of the Great Hall before the water got any higher.

The Professor smiled, impressed by the way Alessia was handling the situation. She didn't yell; she seldom had to. She was always so good with the kids. Fidgeting a bit, Iliana started swaying from side to side, sliding her feet across the ice. She was ready to skate! And then finally, when it seemed like the time for discipline was over and the time to PLAY had returned... water began rushing her feet. She gasped, jumping back a few steps as her eyes grew wide. "OH MERLIN! Not again." She said, looking over at Less. "Do you see where it's coming from?" She asked, scanning the room for a rush of water.

Demetria had just finished her homework. When shje reached down to put it away, she felt her bag was.....wet? Oh no. Oh no no no no no. This wasn't happening. Dem had heard about all of the floodings, but she didn't think she would actually end up being in one. Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. She began to become a little panicy as the water was rising. First to her ankles, now her knees, it wouldn't be long until it was up to her waist.

As fast as she could she ran over to proffesor Morgan and Anna. "What do we do?!" she asked with a bit of fear in her voice. "Isn't there something we can do to stop it?" she asked. Dem closed her eyes trying to calm herself, and praying for the icy water to stop.

Cam was still on the floor, pretty sure his head was gonna freeze to death. Mmhm. He stayed there until... well he didn't know why but did it seem to get hotter or something?? Ehhh it must have just been his mind or something. A brain freeze usually did affect someone's mind most of the times sooo yeah. That is, when the water below him soon started to melt. WATER ZOMG WATER. "OIIII," he said in panic, his whole body that was just on the ice, now covered in water.

His head was below water for nearly two seconds--until he got up of course, soaking wet from top to bottom. "WE'REEE ALLL GONNA DIEEEEEE," Cam shouted out, flailing his arms for some help and then suddenly looked at Reese. Ah Reese.

She would save him like last time, RIGHT?!

"REEESE. REESE SAVE MEHH!" Cam ran, and well because of the water slowing him down, it looked more like he was skipping. And he jumped out and pounced on her, EXPECTING her to catch him.

SHE WAS GONNA CATCH HIM, RIGHT...?

Reese was just minding her own business, waiting for either Professor Morgan or Professor Lupa to tell them what to do. She didn't want to run away, because, like she said before, that would mean leaving everyone behind. So, she just stood there...in the water...waiting. She wiggled her toes a little bit and looked at Anna. "This water is cooooold," she informed them. It was VERY cold. She stopped talking to Anna once a girl came up and started talking to them. Interrupting them would be rude.

That voice! She really wished that the water was still frozen now. She did not trust being in near, or even in water, around Cameron Karsten. Especially after the little incident in Herbology earlier this term. She pulled her hand away from Anna and turned to face the second year. "Okay, Cam. I'll save you. Just stay-" Too late. Cam had already started skipping towards her.

Okay. She could do this. She could catch Cam....right?

She held her arms out right when Cam pounced towards her and she caught him. She stumbled back a little bit, but caught her step before she fell. "There," she said holding him in her arms. EEEEEP. This little boy was heavy. She didn't know how long she could stand her holding him. She turned back towards Anna, the girl, and the two Professors as she held Cam in her arms.

"I know, I know, I know," Anna said to Reese, feeling a wave of hysteria coming on. She'd always been on the opposite end of this crazy flood. She'd always been the one doing the rescuing, not the one needed to be rescued. Now, more than ever, she needed someone to help...to give her the guidance she needed to get herself and her schoolmates to safety. She glanced around the Great Hall, watching to make sure those at the other tables were trying to get to safety, too.

"Professor Lupa? Professor Morgan?" she asked, her voice a little shaky. She glanced from one professor to the other, watching and waiting to see if they had any particular advice before she acted on her own. Just then, Demetria approached them, panic sounding in the girl's voice. "I wish there was something we knew to do to stop it," she replied. "The best advice I have right now, though, is to get everyone out of here before the water has any additional time to rise." Of course that much was obvious, but what else could she say?

She half-laughed at Reese and Cam, amused at how Reese planned to carry Cam out the Great Hall. "Well, that's one way to do it," she said, smiling briefly before turning towards the professors. "Shall I go further down the table and urge everyone to leave?" she asked. She thought that was a good idea, but with two professors nearby, she wanted to make sure to get their okay, too.

Professor Lupa was THE greatest Professor to grace the planet, by FAR. His grin could not spread any wider as he looked to Anna and Reese all so smugly. His dark eyes looked backed up to the Runes professor, “Nothing against tha’ rules? Got it.” He said, rather simply. “Everything else though…” He leered the two girls, wry grin EVER SO present.

And if that wasn’t enough, their reactions were. Reese looked like she’d been slapped and Anna could hardly find words. The Aussie folded his arms and went back to his biscuit.

The first year was tapping his foot on the ice in jubilation, and suddenly then thumping noise turned into a splashing noise. “Of-bloody-course.” He said with a scowl.

Cy hopped onto the bench to get a bit more height, he now stood about eye level with everyone. “Ay! Anna, mind givin’ me a ride on yah’ back. Don’t want to get thah’ robes dirty.” He said mischievously amidst all the panic.

"No, I don't..." She said looking around. "Merlin's Popsicles, it's cold!"

"Glaceo!" She said pointing her wand and trying to freeze the water again... it had frozen before... but it wasn't working. "Nope, we still haven't figured out what stops the water... just don't panic."

So much for not panicking... "Master Karsten, please calm down. It's just water... very cold water..." She said looking around. "Let's just make our way out. Either move up a floor or go outside..." Outside... how would they get back in the castle? Rey would think of something...

"Miss Upstead, start moving out." She told the girl. "Let me know if you need help.

"Prefect Greingoth, Master Karsten is frightened young man and Miss Upstead is being very responsible, and helping the younger student. And she's not a prefect. Two points, Miss Upstead, and thank you." She said calmly, "Yes prefect Greingoth, urge them all evacuate the great hall." This water was getting on her LAST nerve!

"She won't mind at all..." she said for Anna, "but let her perform her prefect/head girl duties in here before she takes you out. Are you alright? Are you scared?" She asked him, to see if she needed to have Reese hold his hand and take him to higher ground.

"I'll gather the students up from over there and continue looking..." she said, pointing over towards the other side of the hall. Only a few steps away she heard a sound that chilled her to the bone...
"OH NO Alessia!" She shrieked, running out into the hallway, splashing icy water into her robes. What could it be?

"Right behind you..." She said running after her, wand drawn.

Anna nodded her head a few times, agreeing with what Professor Lupa was saying. She'd definitely been proud of Reese for helping, and she'd definitely not been laughing at Cam. She'd just thought the way Reese scooped Cam up into her arms was a rather amusing way of helping the young boy. "I agree, Professor. I just thought it rather amusing...in a good way, of course...the way she picked him up in his time of need," she replied. She turned towards Reese and flashed her a smile. "Good job, Reese."

"Nope, Cy, I won't mind at all. As a matter of fact, isn't that how you and I left the floodwaters in the dungeons...with you on my back?" she asked, briefly remembering back to the very first flood devestation. "...but like Professor Lupa said, let's just wait until I've taken care of a few duties in here first. I'm going further down the table, but if the water rises even more and I can't get to you, please don't wait for me, Cy."

Just then, Anna heard loud yelling coming from the direction of the Entrance Hall, and she gasped and turned that way. From her standpoint, she couldn't see anything out of the ordinary (besides the added water), but at least Professor Morgan was heading off to help. "Okay, I'm going further into the Great Hall to see if anyone needs me," she said, talking to no one in particular. With that, she headed over to the Ravenclaw table.

Reese smiled. "I know, right?" She said when Anna said that's one way to do it. She turned to Cy when the boy asked Anna to carry him. Haha. Then, she turned to Professor Lupa when she asked for her to start moving out. "Okay," she answered. "Hold on, Cam." She started moving through the water and towards to the door until she heard Professor Lupa say she earned 2 points. Oh, yay! A smile formed on her face as she turned back to the Professor, but the Professor was already running to the Entrance Hall. Shrugging her shoulders, she headed out of the Great Hall with Cam.
