Chris eyed her curiously. "Are you sure you're ok?" he siad taking a bite of bacon.

Just as he took another bite Via asked about Lizzie, "Oh, well me and Lizzie broke up. Well technically I broke up with her, but not for a bad reason." he said quickly. "I just started to see her more as a best friend instead of a girlfriend. You know what I mean? And I was very busy with Prefect stuff and we never really got to see each other." he took a drink before continuing. "And Im sure she is upset, but I dont want her to be. I know the 'Let's still be friends' thing may sound lame, but with me it's a promise that I really want to save our friendship." he said to Via.

She wasn't looking at first but then she suddenly shifted her gaze to Chris when he said they already broke up. She laid her food on top of the table and stared at him. She felt bad for Liz. However she couldn't blame Chris either for she knew how hard it is to keep up with the responsibilities of being a prefect... A perfect model. "I'm sorry to hear that," she mumbled again. She haven't spoken to Liz for a long time now.

Let's still be friends... She nodded at this. She have said it one time already. "I understand it. Maybe in the right time you'll be back together again. I know how much you love each other." She grabbed for the pitcher, poured some on an empty glass and drank it.

Chris watched Lena turn from him. "Umm sorry about that. Just kind of hard to believe. But it's alright, it's not the big of a deal. It's ok." He told her and then turned his head. He didn't know how that felt to forget your own birthday but it must have sucked. And he wasn't it making it any easier.

Lucas was totally starving before he decided that he couldn't put it off anymore. So he thougt of going to eat someting. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk to anyone it was just that he hadn't really setttled since he'd come back.

He made his way towards the house table. Oh God. There are people there. He took a deep breath and decided to take a seat at the end of the line taking a look around for any face he recognised.

"Hey everyone." He said over the table and took a look to find something to eat.

Chris heard someone else come and sit at the table. Wait a minute was that Lucas? Lucas Bordin. Holy crap it was! He hadn't seen him in forever. "Hey Lucas." He said to him. "Where have been mate?" He asked.

Lucas was picking up a muffin to eat when he heard someone call out to him. He wasn't really expecting a reply. He turned to look who it was. It was certainly a voice he'd heard before. A voice of one of his old friends.

It was Chris. As soon as he found out who it was a huge grin appeared on Lucas's face. "Hey there. Sorry mate I was away. My leg broke one day and I had to bolt in a hurry. So much has changed since I left mate. With so many people leaving. I couldn't even talk to anyone." He said to Chris still smiling.
"You tell how're you doing? What ave you been upto?" He added.

Helena smiled slightly, but she was still looking away. She poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice for something to do and sipped it lightly, no longer looking directly away from him. She set it back down before saying, I'm sorry.

Hey, Lucas, she said with a little bit less enthusiasm than was normal for her.

"Hey there." Lucas said to Helena. "Something wrong?" He added.

Helena shook her head slightly and managed a smile on her face as she looked back at him. Nope, just... tired is all. She shrugged and took another sip of pumpkin juice.

"Tired? What have you been upto lately." He said to her and smiled himself too.

"i'm alright." she said "so what year are you 2 in?" she asked

Helena chuckled and shrugged slightly. Nothing really, just studying too hard I guess. She chuckled again - she rarely studied at all.

I'm in fifth myself - technically. She had far surpassed this grade level in home school, but they went by age when they sorted her in.

"It's not a problem I mean if you broke your leg you had a good reason to be away. I know it. It's so much different I can't believe how many people have left in just a few years, it's kind of crazy." Chris said. "Oh nothing much just trying to enjoy the last two terms I have here before I have to leave." He told Lucas and shrugged.

Chris noticed Lena wasn't looking at him. "Hey theres no reason to be sorry. It happens sometimes right? It's not a big deal. Oh yeah Happy Birthday." He said softly to her and smiled.

"I'm a sixth year." Chris told her. "Umm so what year are you in anyways?" He asked. He thought she was first or second year they all looked around the same height to him anyways.

Helena's smile returned very slightly as she took a sip of the juice. At his final words though, she swiveled back around to face him, her smile wide once more. Thank you. She wanted to say or do something more, but words alone couldn't describe what that meant to him, and she knew that he was still touchy with the whole 'liking her' thing.

"Thanks man. I appreciate it." He said wen he realised that Chris understood the whole reason why he'd left his friends without telling them.

"Yeah and things are different. Dude, we used to have so much fun in the common room and the dorms even when we were in Cooper's. Ha. And then there was Hogsmeade. You know I miss those days." He said to Chris remembering all the crazy stuff he used to do with Cale, Jason and Chris.

"So anything here I should know of. I mean what's new around here?"He asked Chris pouring himself a glass of pumpkin juice.

"Umm no problem." Chris told Lena and smiled slightly as he saw her smile. Ok this whole liking her thing wasn't as bad as he thought it was.

Chris laughed when Lucas said about Cooper's. "Oh my God do you remember when Shel made that man eating pillow. And it started grawling and stuff right in the middle of one of our many pillow fights." He siad and laughed slightly. "Yeah I do to. You have to say even though we weren't with the girls we did have a lot of fun that term." He said,

"Umm I don't. You know about the floods. Oh last term a student was killed. Ummm oh we have a new prefect since Cale left. His name Chris Potter don't know if you've met him yet. But I guess that's it." He told Lucas.

"Yeah I do. That was some funny stuff." Lucas said while he remembered everything. "I mean we had to do something to keep ourselves occupied. I still remember people got alot of detentions. Specially Jason. He always ad this urge to get into trouble didn't he and the fight he had with the slitherins in Hogsmeade. That had us all worked out for a while." Lucas added still smiling.

Then Lucas heard what Chris was saying about a guy dying, no getting killed the last term. "What?" Lucas choked over his pumpkin juice. "How?" He asked Chris. He'd never heard that someone had gotten killed in Hogwarts. He always thought that this was the most safest place on earth e could ever find. Neglecting the era when the dark lord was around.

"I know it. We had a lot of good times." Chris said nodding. Then Jason came up. He sighed a much as he...disliked the guy Lucas was friends with Jay right? "Umm yeah I know he was always getting to trouble. Actaully that fight did. It was a while before he calmed down." He said.

"Hey you alright we don't want you dieing here." Chris commented when Lucas chocked on his pumkin juice. "I don't think anybody knows for sure. Just that he was killed all of a sudden but that was really the only weird thing that happened." He said.

"Ha.Oh no I'm okay. I don't think I can die over pumpkin juice." He said luaghing. It was good to be back with friends or atleast one of them.
"Hmm..... Freaky stuff that." Lucas said in reply to the killing talk."Didn't people panic over here. I mean didn't the parents say anything about it. I don't think my parents are ever going to be happy if someone around me gets killed." He added. "Who was that guy anyway?"

"technically? why do you say that?" she asked curiously

"first." she said "that's why i want to make friends now so that i have people for the years that are here."

Demetria went and sat down at the table. She grabbed a peice of bread and some juice and began writing a letter to her sisters.

Daisy grabbed a seat across from a girl who looked only slightly younger then herself. “Excuse me,” she asked grabbing an empty plate and goblet. “Mind passing over the milk? Oh sorry,” she said upon seeing the feather in her hand. “Didn’t realize you were working on homework.”

She gave the girl a sheepish smile then reached over and grabbed a sandwich off a plate and an apple from a nearby bowl.

Demetria looked up. "Oh, sure no problem." she smiled and handed the girl the milk. "It's not homework. Just a letter to my family letting them know I'm still alive." she laughed. "I'm Demetria, by the way." she said. She folded up the letter and put it in her bag.

Jesse walked into the Great Hall. He hadn't been here in ages. He leant on the door frame for a few seconds, taking in the seductive smells and warm glow from the torches, before making his way over to the Gryffindor table. It would be good to catch up with his friends, he hadn't seen them in ages. As he walked, he quickly grabbed a handful of chips from the middle of the table, spotting Dem talking to some other girl as he did so. He grinned, as he began to walk over to them. "Long time no see," he said with a smile, once he'd reached them, leaning over Dem's shoulder.

Demetria's ears perked up when she heard a familiar voice she had not heard in a long time. "Jesse!!!!!" she squealed and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I haven't seen you in forever! How are you?" she asked anxiously.
