Chris watched as Jack, Fyo, and Zeke all talked to Lena. Not so happy about this he just kept watching. Not like he was going to stop them or anything. But it was weird he never know Lena to talk to a lot of people at once. She even said herself she didn't have many friends right? Oh whatever, so Chris just sat there and kept his mouth shut as the four of the kept right talking.

Helena was still surprised that she had been introduced to so many people that seemed to want to stay and talk, so she mentally chuckled at this. It was quite out of the ordinary for her. Waiting for Zeke's reply, she became aware that Chris hadn't said anything in quite some time. She looked back across the table wondering if he left when she spotted him there with a surly expression. Ummm.... You okay?

Chris had given up trying to listen to what was being said between the four of them. But then he heard Lena, and it sounded like she was talk to him this time. He turned his head back to her. "Yeah I'm fine." He told her. Yeah right he was probably the farthest thing from being fine. Maybe he should just leave, it might be easier......

Helena swung her legs back under the table and looked at Chris face-on, her eyes becoming a light purple that they had not seen in awhile. No, she said, slightly taken aback that her voice was so soft it was nearly a whisper. You're not. I can tell. What's the matter? It was very odd for Chris to be sitting there upset instead of joining in the conversation, and she couldn't quite figure out what it was.

Chris looked at Lena. Ok ok she was right. He wasn't fine. But he couldn't...no wouldn't tell her the really reason for him acting like this. He didn't want to risk it. "Umm nothing. Just a lot on my mind I guess." He told her. Alright this wasn't a lie not at all. He did have a lot on his mind. What about...well he wasn't going to tell no way.

Oh thats goood!! I wouldn't be able to try out for quidittich, major clutz. Id fall off my broom. Shaylee said. She got a salad and put on her plate and started eating.

Helena sighed and nodded; he wasn't the only one. She looked down at her uneaten dinner before returning light brown gaze to Chris and saying, I think I'm going to go get some homework done before bed. I--- She hesitated. I'll see you tomorrow. Helena smiled briefly at him before looking back to Zeke. It was very nice to meet you, Zeke. Hopefully we'll meet again, but I'm going to turn in. She stood up and smiled at both of them before saying, Night, and heading down to the common room.

Chris listened to Lena as she said she had to leave. Gahhhh!!!!That's not what he wanted to happen and he felt sort of bad that she was now leaveing just as soon as she started talking other people. Great going Chris real nice. He didn't even say good bye as she left the Great Hall. He was just going to head back to the Common Room and try to forget this for a little bit. "See you guys later." He said to Zeke, Jack, and Fyo. He grabbed his back and made his way back to the Seven floor.

Dagobert raced in to the Great Hall only stopping when he reached the Gryffindor table. He bent over, panting heavily and tried to catch his breathe. He finally looked behind him to see whether Nat or Dem had caught up with.
Nope, he thought to himself with satisfaction, I beat them to it!.
Dagobert sat down on the bench looking forward to his meal, he really was hungry, even more so after all that running.
He had heard about the kitchens being flooded and he really hoped this did not affect the quantity of the food. Dagobert was quite tempted to start without Nat and Dem but he thought that might be rude so he waited for the two girls.
They'd better come soon, he thought impatiently.

Natasha ran into the Great Hall, knowing Dagobert at least had got there first, but still trying to get to the Gryffindor table quickly. When she got over there, she leant against the table for a moment to catch a breath. "Hey, Dagobert." She said upon seeing him there. "I guess you win then," she said with a chuckle. "Oh, and you don't mind me sitting here, right?" She asked just in case. They had asked her if she wanted to come with them, but she wouldn't just give herself in invitation. She just wasn't really like that.

Dagobert was tapping his feet impatiently when he heard a familiar voice.
'No, of course not,' he said with a grin, 'I see you beat Dem at least.'
He scooted over slightly so that she had room to sit.
'So Nat,' he said running a hand through his hair, 'Do you think we should wait for Dem or start with out her.'
As he said this, his stomach growled loudly.
'Shhh,' he said patting his stomach, 'you'll get your food soon!'

"Thanks," Natasha said with a grin and sat down by Dagobert. "Yeah, I guess I did." She said with a smile as she glanced around."Erm, you choose, Dag." Natasha told him. She was kind of hungry, but not really hungry, so she didn't really mind. "It looks like your stomach wants food, though." Natasha said with a giggle as his stomach growled and he said he'd get food soon.

Dem calmly walked in and went over to where Dag and Natasha were. "Hello, loveys." she smiled. "Sorry, I had to stop by the common room to put my books away." she looked at Dag. "Cause I actually use them." she smirked. She sat down and began piling bread onto her plate.

'Hmm maybe we should wait a little bit,' Dagobert said taking one last look around. He put his face in his hands and waited for a few seconds before announcing, 'Okay that's enough waiting! Time to eat!'
Dagobert leaned forward and started filling his plate with whatever he saw in sight. Sandwiches, pasta, mashed potatoes, salad it all went on his plate ready to be eaten. Immediately, he started stuffing his face not really caring about how he looked.
'So,' he said to Nat in between mouthfuls of food, 'what do you usually do around her?'
Dag then saw Dem walk in.
'Ha, ha. Very funny,' he said sticking out his tongue, 'Oh and we were going ot wait for you but Nat insisted that we start with out you.' He pointed at the innocent brunette beside him while still chewing on his food.

"Uh, huh. Right." she smiled and began eating. "Because I know how well you can contain yourself around food." she joked. "Oh and you have a little bit of mashed potatoes on your chin." she told him. Such a boy. she thought to herself.

"Okay, then." Natasha said with a smile and started eating, too, just at quite a bit more of a slower pace. "Going outside, talking to and meeting people, and just exploring the castle." Natasha answered with a smile. Even as a second year, those were the things she liked doing most because they were still really fun, to her, at least, anyway. "How about you?" She asked Dag with a grin as Dem joined them.

"Hey Dem," Natasha said, returning the smile. "It's alright, I haven't really been here for too long, either." She said to her, and chuckled at her comment at Dag. "Hey! No I didn't," Natasha said, resisting sticking her tongue out like a five-year-old. "You were the really hungry one," she pointed out. And that much was pretty obvious considering the way Dag had started eating.

'Fine don't believe me,' Dagobert said indignantly while whispering the last part, 'But I say we have to keep on eye on these Slytherins.'
Dagobert was, of course joking and the whisper was loud enough for Natasha to hear. Initially, he thought that he would have a problems with the Slytherins but so far he had met some nice people form that house.
'Where?' he said when Dem told him he had mash potato on his face, not that he really cared.

'Exploring the castle, eh?' he said with interest, 'Found anything interesting so far?'
Dagobert had yet to explore the place even though he was dying to. But so far he had been busy with other things, his confusion with Dem being one of them.
'Fine be in denial Nat,' he said dramatically when she protested against what he had said earlier, 'But we all know the truth.'

"On your chin." she told him. "Ooo exploring the castle sounds like fun! You just have to be careful you don't go near the water." she explained. "Is anyone going to Arithmancy today?"

Natasha rolled her eyes as Dag said they'd have to watch the Slytherin's. "I can hear you," she pointed out, even though she knew he knew that she could hear him, and that he was only joking.

"Yeah, it's really fun." Natasha said with a nod. "Yeah, lots of things, well, the whole castle is pretty interesting, really. You should have a look around some time." She said to Dag with a smile. "In denial?" Natasha asked him raising her eyebrows. "Think what you like," she replied simply. A slightly cheeky air in her tone. "Yeah, no more exploring in the dungeons or the kitchen level for a while, I guess." Natasha said with a smile.

Dagobert made a face when she mentioned Arithmancy.
'I don't think so!' he said while finally wiping the potato off his chin with his sleeve, he'd wash it later, 'I'd much rather explore the castle or something.'
Dagobert knew he should be studying more but the thought of doing Arithmancy petrified him. He was not good with numbers.

Dagobert pouted when they both mentioned that they could not explore the kitchens or dungeons.
'But I had been looking forward to that!' he whined.
Dagobert took a sip of orange juice having finished his food.
'But I suppose there are other things to explore,' he said trying to console himself, 'Like the Astronomy tower! And maybe we could help find out the mystery of what's going on with the flooding'
The idea of that cheered him up immensely.

"There's lots of cool things in the higher levels of Hogwarts, too. You know." Natasha said with a smile to Dagobert. "Well, you can go in the murky, dangerous water, if you like." She said with a shrug. She had been in that water once, and that was defiantly enough for her. "I'd explore with you, though." She said with a grin.

"Well, finding out the mystery would be pretty cool..." Even if it was pretty unlikely, still cool.

'Oh come on Nat,' he said poking her, 'Don't be such a girl!'
A little water did not scare Dagobert, even if it was dirty. He did think it was kind of impossible for them go check it now though, he was sure the entrance to the dungeon had been blocked.
'I guess we'll have to stick with just exploring the other parts,' he said slightly disappointed, 'The professors would have blocked the entrance to the dungeons for sure.'
Dagobert then stood up suddenly.
'Alright you two, I'm all filled up and ready to go!' he exclaimed suddenly filled with bounds of energy.
He grabbed both the girls hands and pulled them up.
'You're done with eating right?'

"I'm not being a girl." Natasha said shoving Dagobert lightly. "But I have already been in the water when it flooded the dungeons, as well as it destroying my possessions. Besides, I bet teachers or prefects will be there." She pointed out to Dag.

"I'm ready too," Natasha said, having done eating. "You seem pretty energetic all of a sudden." She said to Dag as he pulled her and Dem up. "Where do you want too go, then? Anywhere is fine with me."

"Yea I wasn't that hungry anyways." she allowed Dagobert to help her stand up. "I'm up for going anywhere." she explained.

Helena walked over to the Gryffindor table without really thinking about it; lately it seemed like the normal thing to do, and now that they were sharing common rooms, it didn't even strike her to sit with the Slytherins. She felt hungry for the first time in awhile so she happily put a biscuit on her plate as she sat down and poured sausage gravy over it.
