Ravenclaw rolls a stone into play and bumps one gobstone several inches closer to the circle perimeter. It isn't quite enough to knock the stone out and earn themselves a point, but they've certainly positioned themselves conveniently for their next move.

Hufflepuff smacks a grey stone outside of the circle, earning themselves another point! Those Badgers have great aim, don't they?

Goblins often keep which creatures as pets and why?

PhoenixRising 07-09-2009 07:18 PM

dragons, to protect the high security vaults at Gringotts

bone_baud10 07-10-2009 01:29 PM

Dragons and Nifflers.

Dragons: Dragons protect valuable items for the goblins.

Nifflers: Nifflers help the goblins to dig deep burrows for treasure.

lemondrop13 07-10-2009 03:45 PM

Both teams line up their targets and slide their respective gobstones into play. Ravenclaw's stone actually bumps that of Hufflepuff, sending it in another direction, but still within play.

OOC: The answer was nifflers, just nifflers, because the dragons aren't really pets - they're more work-animals. We're just going to call it a draw to be fair, and next time, I'll try to be sure the question is a bit more specific.

Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff each send a Gobstone into the circle. Hufflepuff misses their target, but Ravenclaw makes contact! The touch is slight though, and the stone moves closer to the perimeter, but not yet out of the circle.

Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff seem to be making little progress as each team's push of their stone reverses the other team's movement. Perhaps one of them can figure a way to score here?

OOC: An error has been brought to my attention. I had asked specifically for 'magical plants' in the previous question and 'Fluxweed' is technically a mundane plant with magical uses, not a magical plant. The previous question will be awarded to Hufflepuff. Sorry for the confusion!

Hufflepuff rolls their stone from within the circle, but misses their target and rolls their own golden gobstone out of play. Ravenclaw gives their stone a push and knocks a grey stone threateningly close to the line, but they just can't eke it out quite yet.
