Torin was about to pull Reese back when Jack did it. And now Bunbury was asking if anyone could speak Mermish.

"I sorta know Mermish, Professor Bunbury."

Paris blanched as Dani threw herself at the merpeople. Was she crazy! Paris moved to pull the girl back and protect her as they continued to brandish their tridents.

Paris stood with her wand drawn and at the ready. She wasn't going down without a fight and she was going to take someone with her if she did.

For once she was glad to see Professor Bunbury.

"I...I know that was one of the messages," Reese said. She kept her eyes on the merpeople until she felt something grab her arm. Ohmygosh. They got her!She was about the hit whatever had grabbed her until she noticed it was Jack. She followed him behind the suit of armor until the merperson pointed his sharp spear at her. She stopped walking and just stared at the merperson. No. This was NOT happening! Out of all the people here right now, the creature had to point it at her.

"J-J-J-Jaaaaack," she cried out. Right when she called out his name, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her behind him. It took her a few minutes to figure out what happened and when she did, she looked at the people that were in the area. At least she was safe behind Jack. She stayed where she was as she heard, yet, another screech.

Little Grindylow wrapped his tentacle-hands around a would-be-know-it all boy (Torin Kane's) legs and took a large CHOMP.

"Dani! What are you doing?!" Jule yelled as she saw Dani launch herself on the merpeople. For a small blonde girl, Dani had some nerve.

"Stupefy!" she pointed her wand at the merman and pulled Dani back up. "I think it's better if we just attack it from a distance instead of launching ourselves at them." she told her.

"Relashio!" Paris cried pointing her wand at the grindylow who started biting the legs of that Hufflepuff boy.

Oh how very brave of the young man. The Merman scowled, that would not stop him from getting what he wanted. He swam forward with his spear pointing out in front of him.

He stopped and looked at the very small child and he bared his ugly broken teeth. No-one would stop him from getting into that room. He thrust his spear forward and poked the young child with his spear.

Bunbury's words were cut off by the sight of young Dani Devouche trying to tackle a merman by herself - and then another idiotic Ravenclaw attempted to stun it!

"FOR THE LOVE OF MERLIN!" Anastasia screeched in a tone that matched the merfolk perfectly. "Don't you DARE TRY THAT AGAIN, DANI DEVOUCHE!" she ordered her with a thunderous face before whirling on the other students.

"Go for the grindylows, all right? Do NOT go any closer to the merpeople!" Because duh, they had pointy objects and a much higher intelligence. "AND NONE of you are to ATTACK THEM ALONE!"

Maybe if like, five kids all tried to stun one merperson at a time they would get somewhere, because otherwise this was going to be an epic fail and the creatures would be taking over the Headmaster's office.

"OWWWWWWWWWW" Dani yelled as she dropped off the merman. "He stabbed me!" She was bleeding. Dani started to freak out as blood oozed out of her shoulder. She didn't like blood. Not at all. "You stupid merman! You stabbed me!" She ran at him again and kicked him, completely ignoring Professor Bunbury. He was a meanie. Maybe she should have listened to that bossy boy earlier.

Professor Lawson finally made it to the Gargoyle entrance and he looked around at the students. "Whatever you do, don't let them into the headmaster's office. Now come on wands out and let's push them back." He sent off a few silent spells at the Merpeople, unfortunately he hadn't noticed the Grindylows.

Paris nodded at Professor Bunbury's instructions.

She pointed her wand at the suit of armor Jack was hiding behind. "Piertotum Locomotor" The suit of armor sprang to life. "Get the grindylows!" she yelled at the armor.

"Ouch!" he exclaimed as a Grindylow bit him in the leg. And Paris was shooting a spell at it. "Thanks, he told her as she pushed the creature away from him.

"Professor, I can try speaking to them."

Then in his best attempt at Mermish, he asked, "Why are you here?"

He hoped that he sorta got it. Yeah.

Nathaniel didn't know who to go after..the merpeople or the grindylows.. and that's when he heard her. Professor BunButt. He knew that scream from ANYWHERE. He rolled his eyes at her. Nobody took that crazy women seriously anymore.

He then heard someone else scream. Looking over he saw some girl bleeding. GREAT. "Need help?" he asked her

Ooooh! Her voice is almost as screechy as ours!!!!

The Merwomen eyed the Redheaded one's feet... and sent another Grindylow forth.

One nasty little one swam forward to have a good gnaw.

"Relashio!" he exclaimed pointing his wand at the Grindylow aiming for Bunbury. "No one attacks Professor Bunbury." Yes, he was cheesy and pathetic, but he didn't care. He didn't want her or her shoes hurt.

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE SPEAK MERMISH? Jack felt like screaming it at them. He grabbed Reese's arm tight and, now that the merman had changed targets and was headed towards a very brave little girl who had thrown herself at him (Stupid, yes, but brave. Why wasn't she a GRYFFIE?) he ran behind the suit of armour again.

"Does anyone know ANY mermish?" he asked the area as he pulled his wand. He would REFUSE to use it on the Merman--he didn't have a death wish now or anything--but those Grindylows deserved to be blasted into oblivion.

Good Merlin, was this Clifford's idea of paddling and kicking? If he didn't stop flailing about soon, he'd roll off her back and into the grindylow and merpeople-infested waters. "Okay, okay...you can stop padding and kicking now! Just get your wand---OW!" she exclaimed, wincing as she felt a sharp jab in her neck. She frowned in irritation for a moment, but relaxed her expression on account of the fact that she knew Clifford hadn't meant any harm. "It's okay, it's okay. At least it was your wand and not a trident or a spear or something..."

"Don't worry about falling off! I'll never go, Clifford!" she reassured. "I'll never let go!" That is, providing the fact that she didn't collapse due to the increasing pressure on her back. She pushed her way closer to the gargoyle entrance, stopping long enough to stick her tongue out at a nearby creature. Party poopers, they were.

"Well, sort of. There was this book, you see...," she replied, trying her best to glance over at the professor while swimming with a flailing Clifford perched atop her back. "He said to Reese, 'Come here, child', and I do believe he's also referring to us as 'Stupid Wizards'. On that note, Anna made another face at a nearby creature. She could try to speak Mermish, but...it'd take a few moments for her to remember all the sounds.

Oooh blood. Yummy. The Merman was out of patience with this child. Where was his Grindylow? He should feed her to him. He grabbed her by the back of the robes and flung her away from him.

What? What? What? He did not understand this stupid boy. What was the language he was trying to speak? The Merman did not like it, the boy was insulting him and his King. Oh he would not have that. He gave the boy a good poke in the butt for not using the proper language of Mermish.

The Merman turned towards the boy trying to help the silly girl. He grabbed the boy by the throat and held him against the wall. And screeched at him.

She fired off as many stunning spells as she could at the creatures. More and more people were showing up. "Stupfy!" She shouted at one of them that was getting too close to Bunbury.

This was getting crazy and dangerous.

And not the merpeople had a student by the neck. "Oh my god!" she cried. "Everyone stun him!" She shouted pointing at the merperson.

Suddenly he was being poked. "What the bloody hell was that for?!" he exclaimed as he got himself as far away from the Selkie as possible.

then he saw that a boy has been grabbed. WHOA. Pointing his wand at the Selkie, he waited for a signal or somethign to tell him when to cast the spell. It would be a lot more effective if everyone did it at once.

Nathaniel watched as the merman threw Dani. Oh man. NOT GOOD! As soon as the merman turned Nathaniel he knew that it was not good at all. Nathaniel grabbed the mermens arms as he was pushed against the wall. What now? Kick him? Punch him? Nathaniel balled his hand into a fist and SLAMMED it into the mermans face. NICE

Chris skidded to a hault outside the headmaster's office. he had heard yells and a wierd screeching sound from down the Hall and came to see what it was.

He looed horrified as merpeople were standing there. "Oh my god!" he looked and saw the other students Anna, Paris, Jack ,and Resse. He then saw Bunbury. "Professor what do we do? I don't know how to speak Mermish." he said spazing out.

he saw that one mermaid had pinned a boy to the wall by the throught. He yelled pulling out his wand. 'Put him down, before I curse you!"
