"I object again...sir. With all do respect, half the people here are injured, I mean one kid threw up for crying out loud!" Lynny calmed down, she didn't know where all this passion was coming from. She smiled widely. "I will remain on this broom, Torin will keep me safe like he has been this whole time. I can shoot spells from the air." She giggled a little, the thought of her doing magic was so cool, but she quickly recollected herself. She pouted a little and sounded sad, "Please sir, don't I have as much rights as all my fellow students to protect the school I love so much?"

Chris nodded his head as Professor Vindictus told them the plan. He sounded like a General addressing his troops before a big battle, but oddly enough that's how it was. Instead of a General he was a Flying Professor and instead of soldiers he had a band of students and some other teachers. We have magic so we were at least some level equipped to fight our scaly, trident-weilding adversaries. Chris just hoped no one would be hurt.

Torin was very confused as he sat there listening to Vindictus and Aislynn. He didn't want to disobey orders, but he wanted the girl to help out as much as she could. He trusted her. And he had Darkness Powder on him. He wanted to help and he couldn't if he was in the Hospital Ward.

So he just waited for the final word.

William shook his head. He was more than ready to end this. The defense spells were flying through his mind, and he knew exactly what to do. Protect Anna, stop the mean merpeople and get out again. Easy peasy, right? he straightened himself on the broom, glad that his shoulder wasn't nearly as bad as he had hoped. As long as he had one good arm left he was there.

Vindictus stared at the girl. "You were screeching complete gibberish fifteen minutes ago and claiming NOT to know who Nurse Avalon was. I think not!" And where was Kazimeriz when you needed the old goat? "You're wasting precious time by arguing with me! Enough! Potter! She's your charge now and its up to you to keep her safe."

"Remember to keep as quiet as possible as we fly up the stairs and into the office. A single noise might cause disaster."

And he disappeared into the dark corridor leading up to the office.

Nathaniel was starting to get a headache from all those merpeople screeching and what not. Trying with all his might he tried to yell at them but all that happened was something that sounded like a dying CAT. Thanks for Professor BunButt for being clever and casting langlock on him. Great. Now what?

Alright...game on, Aornos.

This was it. It was either now or never, as far as Anna was concerned.

Cale Newell would yell at her for hours over this. He'd know about it, because she'd tell him. She had an awful habit, you see, of feeling the need to tell him everything that she did. She'd play her cards just right, though. She'd claim it was all his fault since he wouldn't allow her to leave Hogwarts with him and just be homeschooled. She was now glad she hadn't gone that route, but it wouldn't hurt to lay a guilt trip on him just so he wouldn't yell at her so much. Hmph.

A nearby mumbling noise stopped her from going too much further. What was the deal with Nate? He appeared to have been langlocked or something. Not having much time to question the matter, she aimed her wand at him and said, "Finite Incantatem!" She motioned for him to follow suit, so he, too, could help take down Aornos once and for all. With that done, she quickly followed right after Professor Vindictus.

He was a little relieved to hear that Aislynn would be with Chris now. He would be able to help and not have to worry about her. It was good to know what was going on again. He flew over to Chris so that he could take the girl from him

Lynny folded her arms in disappointment. She didn't want to be a burden on someone else. Especially someone who didn't know her current situation.

Lynny went over to the Chris fellow and sat on broom next to him. "I promise I won't be any trouble."

She followed the group up the corridor.

Nathaniel could not thank Anna enough but there was no time. He did as he was instructed and followed his fellow Gryffindor. At least she gave him a chance. BunButt with her grudge.He wasn't done with her.. but there other matters at hand now

Was Reese Upstead ready for this? Nope. She kept in her place for a few minutes, taking a few deep breaths. She can do this. If Anna can have enough courage to get the key from Aornos, then Reese can have enough courage to keep the merpeople distracted. She stared at the dark corridor leading to the office for a few moments, then she followed Professor Vindictus and Anna into the corridor to the Headmaster's office.

"Later, Aislynn," he said to her as she left his broom and went to Chris. He would see her later and hopefully she would be all better.

With that done, he followed Reese as she headed after Vindictus.

As Arethusa said, the water was drained out, the injuries healed, and everything was restored to normal.

Varius watched as Vindictus, Anna and a number of other students made their way to the Headmaster's office. He decided he would remain down here and try and keep any of the other merpeople getting past and causing even more of a disturbance to their plans.

After a few moments the merfishes began to retreat... leaving... and then the most beautiful of them all came out of the entrance to the office and Varius floated in mid-air, unsure whether or not he was supposed to attack her or not... but her beauty was mesmerizing... so mesmerizing. And the water! The water was going away, revealing dry corridors once more! Was it over? It looked like it.

He began to clap. Applaud. Congratulate Hogwarts and their victory.

"Long. Live. Hogwarts," he muttered, proud and happy to be part of this marvelous school.

Satine sat up quickly and looked at her leg...what had happened...she felt like everything was a dream but then she remembered...

A stupid merlady thing had thrown a trident at her and stabbed her leg and Satine had pulled it out and then all she remembered was the pain...

So...she must've passed out and....and..... missed the rest of the fight...dang it...dang it dang it!!!!

Way to be a baby Satine...maybe you should carry around a pacifier from now on..big baby passing out from the pain....ugh! .....she thought to herself....

she examined her leg and noticed a tear in her jeans from the three forked trident, but there was not wound or scar or anything....

She quickly remembered the water she had been wadding through and realized that the water...that nasty water that had ruined sooo many of her favorite pairs of shoes and outfits...was gone from the entrance.

She got up to her feet a little wobbly....her thigh was healed but still stiff...

She looked around for others and then remembered the Professor who she had jumped to try to save but hadn't been successful...

Looking around frantically, she yelled,

"Professor Lupa! Where are you are you okay?" she really hoped the professor had survived passing out and being wounded as she had...

James looked at the gargoyle and then at the papers in his hand. Great, it was time. He whispered the password and walked up the steps.

Abby makes her way to the Gargoyle Entrance. She's been avoiding having this meeting with Professor Kazimeriz all term. I guess I'd better talk to him before the term is over. I don't want him to think I've shirking my duties. I guess this is part of my duties. I wish I had had a chance to talk to Professor Truebridge before this. I guess somethings are meant to be. I do need to talk to Professor Lawson. Maybe he can help me do the right thing. Abby finds a chair and sits down. With the headmaster at St. Mungo's, (I still shudder when I remember Professor Lupa ravaging him like that. I know she couldn't help herself, but it still was horrible to watch. I wonder what's going to happen when the news gets out. A werewolf teaching at Hogwarts. The headmaster nearly killed by her. I know Professor Kazimeriz will bend the truth about what happened into a pretzel to protect Professor Lupa. At least I understand why Kazimeriz is so protective of her. Oh well, I can't put this off forever.), Abby imagine Professor Kazimeriz will be here. I wonder if he will stay on next term too. I wounder if Professors Bontecou and Lupa will still be here next term. She finds a seat and sets down. This should be an interesting meeting.
