"OWWWWWW," Reese cried out when the grindylow chomped harder on her poor ankle. Taking in a deep breath, she kept her right arm holding tightly onto Jack as she pointed her wand with her left hand at the creature. "RELASHIO," she said. She sure hoped that would get the creature away from her.

She almost slid right off the broom when Jack made a sharp turn. She quickly wrapped both of her arms back around him, not wanting to go back into the water. "Watch where you are flying, Jack!" she told him. He was the Quidditch Captain, shouldn't he know to watch where you are flying? She did not want them running into any walls.

She watched as the merpeople tried to swat them out of the air. EEEEP! If she could hold onto Jack any tighter, she would. She did NOT want to go back into the water with those things. When Jack flew upwards, she sighed. That got them away from them tridents, right?

Vindictus saw the spell coming towards him and got out of the way. "Aim for the merpeople and grindylows, and NOT ME!" he called out and continued to fight the creatures in the Gargoyle Entrance.


OOC: Vindictus did not bring any brooms to the Gargoyle Entrance. He summoned his. If you want to use a broom, you must summon it. If you don't summon the broom, then I have no idea how you got one.

Aislynn stopped flapping her arms and folded them and pouted like a child. "No fun!"

"OoooOoooh! Sparky!" she said as she pointed to his wand. "Where are we? Is this like a water park? OooooOoooh, look at the cute little fishies! Hello fishes!!!," she waved to the merpeople and grundylows then turned back to the person she was on the broom with,"Is this like a ride?" She felt something in her pocket and she saw that she had one too! She squeeled a little with delight."OoooOooh!! Are we in a band?" She began drumming it on her lap with one hand and held onto the broom with the other. With each little hit a small spark came out.

Plymouth cringed as he lifted his feet off the ground. One, his foot hurt, and two, he had to fly not only himself - but Evolette McKenna - away from ANKLE BITERS and fork throwers and general BULLIES.

He put the seat belt on, did his pregnant woman breathing exercises, and they were... at least HOVERING above the water.


It was going to be a bumpeh ride!


"Break their fingers, Evolette! While... I... keep us alive!" Shaking like a leaf on the whomping willow, Plymouth moved his broom down the corridor a ways. Mold could have out ran his pace, but at least they were moving and up out of the water!

William nodded at Paris before casting his attention back to the battle at hand. He kept casting the stunning spell, figuring if he had stunned one merperson earlier he could do it again, right? Wrong. It was a lot harder when your shoulder was throbbing due to a spear wound, you were worried sick over your professors, you couldn't see the headmaster and there were grindylows and other much taller merpeople around.

"Relashio!" he called out, pointing his wand at a few grindylows he saw lurking in the murky water.

SWAT!

At the foolish looking boy and the ugly (by merperson standards) girl (Plymouth and Evolette) on the broom with the harness.

CACKLE SHRIEK CACKLE SHRIEK!

SWAT!!!

At the Redhaired Harpy-adult person, she would make wonderful Grindylow bait!

FEEDING TIME!!!

"This is not a ride. It's a fight." Why did he have to be stuck with an annoying girl who acted like a child.

Suddenly he was hit with a spark. "OW!" She had gotten her wand out. "YOINK!" he said taking it from her hand. Now he had two wands. Excellent.

With both wands, he launched a new attack bellow. "RELASHIO! STUPEFY! STUPEFY! RELASHIO! STUPEFY! RELASHIO! RELASHIO!"

The spell hit the grindylow and it let go of Reese's leg before flying across the room and smacking the water hard.


But something made the grindylows stop their attack and they hurried behind the merpeople. A few even disappeared under the water.

Willie was watching the fishy people (YES, FISHY PEOPLE) as they begun to attack on other students except him. YES. You know why? Because he had a BOOK. He'll betcha that they can't even READ books. Oh yeah. Never in his life had Willie been so grateful to a book. A schoolbook nonetheless!

And then came Cy with a spiffy broom. Willie grinned wickedly at, admiring the fine wood
while people were shouting and screaming and doing Merlin's knows what. "Guuud, GUUUUD mate! We be 'avin' the greatetht broom on them... THEVEN THKIETH!" Willie exclaimed, his face filled with seriousness mixed with joy.

Cy then called over a friend... A friend? Willie blinked at him. WHO WAS THAT KID?! He didn't know him. And why was he joining them in the broom riding? Willie looked at Cy, aghast. "Ye be wantin' 'im with uth?" But before he could reply, a splash near by them happened and Willie paled. "GET 'IM ON THAT BROOM NOW. GET UTH ON THAT BROOM NOW, THY, NOW NOW NOW!"

He pushed him on the broom and then quickly rode behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist and placing his cheek on his back. "GOOOO!"

But then, he noticed that those fishy people were slowly backing off. A grin spread on Willie's lips. "YEAH YEAH THAT'TH RIIIGHT. YE BE AFRAID OF CROCKER YE 'EAR?! Good of ya ter know that I woulda bittt yer 'EADS."

Chris looke ddown from Paris' broom in triumph as the Grindylow fell off of Reese's leg!

His smile then faultered slightly to see all the rindylows start to retreat behind their masters. "What's going on?" he asked the others flying around.

Dani noticed the grindylows backing off. "Professor!" She shouted at Vindictus "They don't usually do that do they?" She pointed at them. It was WEIRD. Kinda freaked her out.

"OY!!! GIVE ME BACK ME STICK-A-MA-BOBBER!" She reached went grabbing for it. "That's mine!!! Naughty boy!!!" She started whacking him on the head! Little did she know she was beginning to slip of the broom.

"Hey! Watch it!" Bloody lunatic woman. Hitting him on the head. And she was slipping.

Great.

He quickly moved the wand from his right hand to his left and reached out and grabbed her.

"I've got you. But you have to not struggle, Aislynn." He pulled her back up again, though his broom started tilting forwards.

He got it to straighten just before they would have fallen off.

Now lunatic girl was safe again. For the moment.

Daniel was about to hover about and grab somebody out of the water when he heard Professor Bunbury again, thinking of a way of how to get the creatures out of here.

"Professor, it seems that they are countless. Even though we have attack almost everyone of them, they are always coming." he said and then paused a moment. "Professor, remember my suggestion to earlier? I remembered that there is a weaker version of that spell." he said wanting to help. "But we need to get students out of the water first." he added.

He then looked down and saw that the grindylows are retreating, His mouth gaped and he hovered around, "What's happening?" he asked.

He raised his brow as he suddenly noticed the Grindylows hiding like others pointed out. What was going on here?

Aornos remained hidden in the passageway leading to the headmaster's office, but his voice was loud enough to be heard throughout the school.

"Is Aislynn my name?" she asked with a tilt of her head. "That's a funny name..." she started to giggle. She felt the jolt of the broom as he straightened up and caught her.

"You're adorable, look at your rosey little cheekys," she began to pinch them. "Are we dating? You seem to rescue me a lot...like a...like a...." she began drumming her fingers on her face, "...like a knight in a shiney something...That's it!!!" She giggle like a school girl.

"Oh, lookey..." she pointed down to the water. "The cute patootie fishey thingies and swimming behind the big fishey thingies! Can we catch one and take it as a pet!?!" She hugged Torin. "Oh, Knight in shiney something!" She sighed.

"OooooOoooh, there's a big BIG fishey!," then Aornos started speaking and she covered her ears. "Why is he so angry?"

One grindylow emerged from the water and looked up at the big birds with sad, puppy dog eyes.

Vindictus turned to Dani and shook his head. "I don't know what's going on - I'm not a CoMC teacher - just a Flying Professor! And -" He was cut short by a screeching voice. "FOR THE LOVE OF MERLIN, ENOUGH OF THAT RACKET!"

"Yes, you are Aislynn. And hell no, we are not dating!" He tried to get away from her when she started to pinch his cheeks. "REESE! HELP ME!" He was starting to think that he should have left her to the Selkies.

Eww, now she was hugging him! He rolled his eyes. "Those aren't cute. And I dunno why he's angry." He couldn't translate a word of the Mermish with her incessant questions and cheek pinching.

William was staying close to Paris like she asked, shooting off spells until suddenly the grindylows stopped advancing. "huh?" He asked, blinking as he turned to look at her with a questioning look. Before he could say anything more however, that annoyingly loud screeching sound happened again and William groaned, his ears feeling like they were going to pop. He was on a boom and couldn't cover both ears so he took his bad arm and covered one ear. Thankfully it stopped quickly and he was able to hang on without falling.

Only barely.

She nodded, glad that William listened to her. She flew close to him keeping an eye on him and making sure no one was in danger. The grindylow backed off and she raised an eyebrow. They were up to something now.

She shook her head. "I don't know what going on." she told Chris honestly.

Cyrus nodded fervently, "It's best thing since PB and J, mate. It really is." He said, stroking the broom amidst all the chaos. It was nearly time, time to escape.

Looking from Cam to Willie, and then from Willie to Cam in interest, the Aussie jumped as well as there was a large splash nearby. "Aye-aye mate!" He said wide-eyed with a salute, and mounted the front of the broom.

Willie said go so it was that Cyrus did. With a grand SPLOOOSH the three boys had taken off.

Laughing manically as they shot through the air, Cy looked below at the water. The broom was SO much harder to control with two other people on... so in return it was jerking and swooping magnificently.

"GONNA BE A WILD RIDE MATES!" He said, still smiling. Obviously, the boy liked a bit of a thrill.

Aislynn pouted at the fact that they weren't dating. She folded her arms. "What does, 'The redhead's shoes are perfect chewtoys' and 'Attack Fish! Attack! Bite the ankles!' and 'Mwahaha' mean?" She looked at the big fish man.

"What does BIG fish man want?" She gave him an angry glare and stuck her tongue out of him. "He doesn't say nice things! Do I have ankles?"

Oh no they were NOT going for her shoes again! Anastasia spotted a merwoman coming at her and she lunged out with her left foot, aiming for the ugly selkie's face. "GROW SOME FEET AND GET YOUR OWN JIMMY CHOO'S!"
