Cam somehow managed to slip away from the merwomen's scaly ew-ish hands and watched as Anna BASICALLY abandoned him. WHAT KIND OF A GIRLFRIEND WAS SHE?! School brooms?! OOOH SMART. "ACCIO--," before he could even DO anything, he felt something hard and heavy smash the back of his head. He went woooozy and he almost fell into unconsciousness from the FLYING GRINDLYOW, though it dropped off into the water, right? Right...? "ACCIO BROOM!" he yelled out quickly with as much as concentration he could put it in, just as much concentration to get the thing OFF!

He tried pushing it away and pointed his wand at it. "STUPEFY!" HOPEFULLY ENOUGH TIME FOR HIS BROOM TO COME??

Cy nodded proudly as his buddy commented that his idea was brilliant. All of his idea’s were, it was just a way of life by now. Giving a salulte as Willie attempted the summoning charm, he watched with a furrowed brow as a bucket flew at them.

“CRIKEY!” Cy said, in mild disbelief. “Thah’ bucket aint no bloomin’ broom!” He said, shaking his head.

Looking at the grindylow’s then back to the bucket, he grabbed the bucket from Willie at hurled it at one of the creatures heads with a loud, “YYAAAAAAHHH!” As if it was a sort of karate move. Cy WAS a chaser for the championship winning team…

Looking at the water, he picked up a textbook as it floated by. “Chuck this bad bloke at em’ while I go fetch a broom.” The Aussie said, with a very serious expression on his face.

Reese kicked his feet, trying to get the grindylows off until she heard Professor Vindictus say to get a broom for the fifth time. Okay, okay! She was going to get a broom. She kicked one of the grindylows one last time before she pointed her wand in midair. She was about to say the spell until Jack came around whacking his broom against the water. Oh, he better not hit her. She already had a bloody ankle, she didn't need a bruise on her head.

She quickly grabbed his hand and mounted the broom. She just wanted to get away from the grindylows. Clinging onto Jack, she glanced down at her ankles. Get away from me, grindylows! She kept shaking her feet back and forth, hoping they would fall into the water.

Max sent four more stunners at the grindylows and then went to rescue Dani. "Take my hand!" he called out and reached his hand out to her.

One of the grindylows refused to let go of the girl (Reese) and chomped down even harder. It wrapped its tiny arms around her leg and dug its claws into the girl's robes.

NOM! NOM! NOM!

Dani grabbed the professors hand and held on for dear life. She was scared. She had been fine earlier, but now everyone was screaming. It was a good thing Jake hadn't come down, or she;d be all worried about him. Which reminded her, where was Plymmie?? Was he ok? She looked up into the professors eyes "Why are they being so mean?" She didn't understand why all of this was happening.

"They've been ordered to attack," Vindictus replied rather calmly as if this was something he encountered on a daily basis and he climbed into the air with a firm grip on Dani. "Now stick your free arm out - don't worry, I've got you - and open your palm. Clearly call for a broom."

Willie rubbed his head as he was sure the bucket would leave a mark right there. But that was no problem. It would be a WAR SCAR. He fought hard he did.

Pfffft.

His eyes flew over to Cy as he basically grabbed his bucket and threw it on the grindylow. Willie grinned wickedly and went "YEAHHH GET 'EM THY." He was cheering on his friend rather excitedly.

He held onto the book and his eyes flew all over the place like in those stealthy movies. He will GET them if they even THOUGHT of jumping at him. Willie held up the book in a karate way and he lifted up his left leg going "Come and thee if ye can get me ye little bugger'th." The way he said it was in a low, dangerous way, threatening them with death.

DEATH!

Daniel looked at Sarah and said, "Yes, that is why it is good if everybody clears out of the water if this plan will be materialized. But Professor Bunbury said not to." He said and then shoots a stunning spell on one of the Merpeople. Then he heard Professor Vindictus yell.


Accio broom Daniel commanded, and a broom swooshed its way towards him. He grabbed a hold of it and rode it like a true cavalier. He then hovered a moment, still shooting stunning spells to help the others. He then approached Professor Vindictus and said, Professor, I know a spell that can struck a lightning unto the water to electricute them. . But it will be dangerous for many are still in the water, and the merpeople can get killed if the spell works out too perfect." he said, and then looked around to find somebody to help.

"AH. THERE. There's my broom!" Plymouth hobbled on his bad ankle and hopped onto it, using Evolette McKenna heavily to do so. "Here... strap yourself in, Evolette! Get on, get on!"

she sighed with relief when William flew next to her. "I'm alright," she panted as she tried to keep the broom steady with two people on it. "Are you alright?" she asked him.

She pointed her want at the merwoman. "Stupy!" She knew it was going to take her down but if everyone helped it would in the end.

EEP! One of the Grindylows had hijacking his broom via Reese's ankle. AHHH! He didn't want that think hurting her anymore--or following them all the way back to the common room.

"Get OFF her!" he exclaimed, trying his best to kick the foul little beast off of her without totally crashing into someone. As he moved his foot around, trying to get a good shot at the stupid little creature, he almost ran into Professor Vindictus, looking up and sharply turning out of the way at last second.

"Sorry Professor!" he called as he resumed the kicking. Maybe he needed to slow downnnnnnnn while he was kicking/steering multitasking. He let out a girlish scream as suddenly, one of the evil merpeople tried to swat them out of the air, like a FLY! Pssh Jack Fritzera was no FLYYY. He rose in the air out of the reach of their tridents...for now, that is.

Aislynn was lying unconscious. But, she felt like she was flying. She was starting to come around...well sort of. She looked down and realized she was flying and quickly grabbed the person in front of her. "Oh hello? Are we flying?" She was completely off her rocker. "What are those slimey things? With the stick whatzits?" She liked flying, she felt like a child.

"WEEEEEEEE!!!! This is so much fun! Can we fly upside down and a looped-di-loop?" It was as though she was a child. She extended her arms to the side and began flapping them. "I feel like a bird!!! TWEET!!! TWEET!!!"

Chris waited to Paris got close enough to Jack's broom and the grindylow attached to Reese. "Jack, Reese watch yourselves! Stupefy!" he shouted aiming at the grindylow.

Dani did what he said, she trusted him. Sticking her arm out, she yelled in a slightly shakey yet confident voice. "Accio broom!" She waited for it to fly to her. "Thank you Professor." She said to him moments before a broom smacked into her hand with a loud THWACK! She swung herself onto it. "It's a good thing you got the school brooms replaced." She said with a small laugh. Not the right time for humor, but she still found the irony of it rather hilarious.

William nodded a bit shakily, "I'm fine. Just a scratch I think." he replied not wanting to know if the spear had been poisoned. He turned in time to watch Aislynn, the girl he had been partners with in Potions fall to the water after getting hit by a trident. "Aislynn!" he shouted, not wanting to fly over and scoop her up. Thankfully someone had scooped her up and he breathed a sign of relief.

"Stupefy!" he said pointing his wand at the nearest merperson, his voice strong even though he was scared out of his mind.

Once again, Plymouth Morgan received the LOOK from Evolette McKenna. "THAT is your broomstick?" she asked, eying it. WHY did it have a harness?

...or did she not want to know?

She was okay with being clueless, as long as it got them out of the water, and away from the screaming Professors, then, who cared? Evolette climbed onto the back of Plymouth's broomstick. She disregarded the harness.... which was still rather odd. "Remember? a mere 20 minutes or so ago, you had a tail?" WHY had they come here again?

Oh. Right. Cause they were stupid.

Vindictus finally let go when he saw that Dani was safely on a broom. "Only two spells will work - Stupefy and Relashio - aim for the chest. Now off with you!" he said and swooped down to fire off yet another stunner at one of the merwomen. But he was too close and nearly took a trident tip to the leg.

Oh, great. She was out of it. "Aislynn, this is serious. And you are going to fall off!" She was making the broom move with her arm flapping. "Stop acting like a bird!" Oh God, he was in trouble with her.

"STUPEFY!" he shouted out, pointing his wand at the enemies below. He would like have asked her to help, but judging by her current condition, she might very well hit Vindictus.

And, out of nowhere, there was a broom floating through the water. Cyrus made a go for it, and grabbed the thing.

“Rippin’ broom this is.” The first year said with a wry grin as he sprinted off to his fierce friend Willie. Splash splash splash. The young Aussie had arrived.

“No worries mate, this broom’ll rocket us right outta here.” Nodding curtly, Cy looked over and saw Cam who was struggling as well. Grinning widely (in a situation like this?!!), Cy called out to him. “HEY! CAM! YOU NEED A RIDE MATE?!!!” He said, waving his arms and motioning at the broom.

She wouldn't be able to concentrate with William on the fray. He was clearly hurt and didn't want to admit it. "Stay close to me alright," she told him firmly.

She flinched as Professor Vindictus was almost hit. "Watch out!" she shouted at him.

Dani nodded as he flew away before swooping closer to the merpeople and yelling "Stupefy! Stupefy!" She sent stunning spells flying at them. She aimed for their chests as he had told her, but she wasn't sure her aim was true. She kept her eyes moving, watching everything as it took place.

Sooooo the whole "sacrificing your shoes" idea had not scared Anastasia off entirely, no, not yet. She was actually pressed against a wall and shooting silent stunners at the merpeople, not that it was helping any. And where had the Headmaster gone? Last Annie had seen, he'd popped up, Lupa had made an appearance, and then she'd lost sight of both of her colleagues.

Wonderful.

This was not even including Marcus and Caroline, who had also conveniently chosen to either die or go snogging off in some corner - but she would deal with that later. For now, help had showed up in the form of Maximus "Biceps of Steel" Vindictus and his school brooms.

"ACCIO SCHOOL BROOM," Bunbury finally vocalized, momentarily pausing in the onslaught of stunners so she could get out of the water. There was a moment's pause of course, and then Annie was in the air and hovering over toward Max.

"Do we need to start search and rescue?" she asked him a bit wearily. "Or is there some way to just BLAST all these godforsaken creatures out of here?"

Maybe something could blast the idiotic students still in the water out too.

"GET. AWAAAAY."

Had his stunning spell worked? He was NOT so good with spells still--and he wasn't even sure if his spells were powerful enough to block off these dark dark meanie-bo-beanie creatures. Just to be safe, he lunged his arms STRAAAAIGHT at the used-to-fly grindylow. And he lunged again. AND ONE MOOOORE TIME just to be ... well... SAFEEE. "NOW BACCCK. BACK I SAY," he ordered and tried his best to wade out of the water.

Cam still felt those ... scaaaly flavors in his mouth. OMG EVELYN'S HAND TASTED SOOOO MUCH BETTER. Why couldn't they have Evelyn hands hmm? HMM? HMMM??

Where was his broom anyways and why wasn't it coming? Hearing a familiar voice, Cam turned his head as quick as he could, eying Cy and his friend. RESCUUUEEDD. YESS. Pfft and everyone else was just WAY too busy to save him. And where was Anna? SHE DIDN'T EVEN COME BACK FOR HIM? She was indeedy a bad girlfriend.

CY. BROOM. Cam HOPPED on the speedy-lookin' broom, giving one (hopefully) last look at the merpeople and stuck his tongue out. Yeah... felt good. Stupid fish people.
