EEEEP! Anna tried helping him remove the Merwomen who had placed their disgusting scaly hands on his mouth. He continued with the splashing, his body basically still shivering. So. Close. He gave her a look for some help, looking back at the whole situation. It all happened so fast. First there were biting grindylows and then the flying professor summoned his teacher. Where'd Aornos run off to?! Cam glanced at Reese, and thinking she was aiming her wand at him--he panicked and panicked, READY to pass out already.

...oh phew. She was pointing at the merwomen. OMG more screeching. He gave Reese a look like "SWIMAWAYWOMAN, SWIMAWAYNOOWWWWW". Cam somewhat sort of liked Reese--he just never seemed to admit it. But if these WERE his last moments, he was willing to show his... euguuhuhstuffiness.

And then he did what he COULD do. Cam BITTTTTTTTTTT the scaly hand still on his mouth as hard as he could, his teeth clinging as hard as it could on the palm of her ew-ish hands. Ew. Ew. Ew. But if he could leave bite marks on Evelyn, then it HAD to work.

Catching his breath completely he noticed Vindictus was there finally on a ... broom? How intelligent of him he thought, wincing at his shoulder before seeing more grindylows. Luckily they hadn't started attacking him yet but that wasn't going to stop him from helping out. Sloshing his way to the wall to keep his balance he looked for grindylows to stop. Spotting some near the girl who had been nice to him he said "Relashio!" he continued doing this around her, pointing his wand in any direction, but missing all the students.

No one was listening. "CALL FOR A BROOM AND GET OUT OF THE WATER!" Vindictus commanded as he flew over Plymouth who had a grindylow clamped down on his ankle. He pointed his wand at the little critter. "STUPEFY!" The light headed directly at it.

Reaching down, Evolette grabbed Plymouth by the back of his robes, pulling him up and away from the water. Even if they hadn't been IN the water, they should get away from it, before more of those icky things attacked them.

Rolling her eyes, Evolette tried to sound as comforting as possible. Really, she would baby him as much as he liked later, but right now, was not the time. "Plym. Get away from the water, and no you're not going to turn into a merman...." At least, she hoped not. Cause that would make their next date very odd.

Jack's head whirled around and saw that Vindictus had appeared out of nowhere and was...riding his broom? That was GENIUS! Why hadn't he thought of that? He raised his wand. "Accio Broom!" he cried. Even though Quidditch had ended he still kept it on top of his trunk with the twigs facing North (it was a weird superstition of his...you know how Quidditch players can be) so it should be arriving soon.

Meanwhile, he pointed his wand at the grindylows attacking Reese. "Stupefy, stupefy stupefy! Get OFF her you silly little creatures!"

Hearing another screech coming from behind her, Reese turned around and came face to face with a merperson that was pointed at her. WHY WAS IT ALWAYS HER?! She stepped back a little bit and her heart started pounding so fast when she saw not one, not two, but TEN grindylows coming towards her. Then, they attacked!

She fell to the ground as they bite her ankles. Oh- that HURT! Her eyes started to water and she tried to get her wand pointed directly at them. But, with all the biting, she wouldn't be able to aim directly. When Torin came up and started shooting spells at them, she was so happy!

THWACK! Her broom slammed into her hand with such force it almost knocked her off her feet. She quickly climbed on her broom and pulled Chris right behind her. "Come on," she told him.

"YE BIG MEAN LUGTH YE. YE ain't NUTHIN', ye 'ear!?" Willie yelled as he stood on one leg on the only dry land he could find. He was shaking his hand at the little critters down there, beside him his new friend Cyrus. "YEEEERRR NUTHIN' BUT A BUUUNCH OF LAGGIN'... Laggin'...... Errr. ICKIETH! YEAH. THAT'TH IT. Yer ICKIETH."

Ickies.

Classic.

"Thyyyy," Willie called, poking his friend's ribs and then leaning in with a worried look on his face. "I ain't got no broom mate."

'Well here goes nothing.' Rave thought, "Accio Broom!" and she stood there, feeling helpless, waiting for her broom to arrive.

Aislynn tapped her want to her leg, "Ferula!" she shouted and a bandage and splint wrapped around her leg and appeared to stop the bleeding. She made herself stand up, but it was incredibly painful. She turned to Paris, "Thanks again! I owe you one." Aislynn patted her on the shoulder. "Peace talks can go to..."

Then she saw Professor Vindictus flying overhead, "Not all of us have brooms professor!"

She pointed her wand to the water and cast a water freezing spell and made a small iceberg for her to stand on. She was a bit wobbly, but finally caught her balance.

She pointed her wand upwards, and said the spell several times, "Avis!" Ten yellow birds appeared from her wand. "Ergorgio!" this made them about the size of eagles. She then pointed her wands to the Grindylows, maybe the birds could fly away with them or at least poke them with their beaks to death. It was worth a shot. "Oppugno!" The birds swooped in to attack!

Chris pulled himself as hard as he could onto the broom. When he went to swing his injuryed foot over the broom he saw that his foot was numb and te grindylow was still on there biting hard into his ankle blood was pouring out around its mouth. "Get it off Get it off." he yelled but then he just shouted. "Get us out get us away from the water Paris!" he officiallly hated water creatures!

"I don't have a ... wait ACCIO BROOM!" he shouted, hoping the spell would work. He had never been good at the accio spell before but he hoped in this instance it worked right. Come on, please... he begged the broom authority concentrating on the spell and jumping whenever he say a grindylow come near him.

As she tugged on Cam, Anna heard the booming voice of Professor Vindictus calling out to her. She released Cam's legs and immediately called out for her broom. "Accio broom!" she exclaimed, her hand raised and ready to catch the broom when it came to her. A moment later, her broom came zooming into view...thwack...it landed securely in her hands and she mounted it as quickly as she could. Surely the others had heard the message and would follow suit. A second later, Anna flew from the water and hovered a few feet above it. She glanced down at the chaos just below, shaking her head at the devestation that had wrecked the school she'd come to love so much. Sure, the students needed to get to safety, but if they didn't catch that key soon, nowhere at this school would be safe.

Paris nodded as Chris screamed in her ear. She leaned back on her broom and it climbed above the water. She saw other students doing the same. Good, and William was going for his broom too. "Stupfy!" She fired at the creatures moving through the water.

ACK! NOOOOO! The grindylow that was gnawing on Plymouth's ankle found itself ripped from the human and sailing back into the water.

OH NOOOOO! Another grindylow found itself airborne after the human it was biting (Chris) started kicking hard and it sailed through the air towards the back of another student's head (Cam).

Standing along side Willie, Cyrus was poking his wand in the direction of those creatures. “Your nothin’. NOTHIN! You can’ even sah’vive outta the water. You ah’ just a bunch a pansies! HERE HERE!” Why he was brandishing that wand of his (which he really didn’t know how to use), was a good question. But it was certainly in hand.

He’d heard the Quidditch official yelling at them to get the heck out, but the headstrong first year didn’t wanna! Yet.

The merpeople though… they didn’t look happy.

Apprehensive brown eyes looked to Willie, “I don’ eitha! First years can’t have em’. We needa find one mate.” He said with a nod, “Or steal one! Like thah’ pirates that we ah’.” Cy beated his chest once and nodded, looking out into all the distress.

Chris saw the Grindylow fly off his foot and down to teh water. "Watch out below!" he yelled to warn the others not yet out of the water on brooms.

come on ... please..."Yes!" he exclaimed as his firebolt came flying towards him. Grabbing it out of thin air he jumped on, wobbling like crazy as he gripped too hard with his injured arm and kicked off flying towards Paris and hovering beside her. "You okay?" He asked, not even noticing the blood on his shoulder anymore.

Not liking that.

Two merwomen swatted the birds away like oversized tennis balls with their tridents.

Annoying little child.

Know it alls don't taste good.

The particularly bad tempered Merwoman lunged forward and with an

ALMIGHTY WHACK!!!

Hit the girl (Aislyn Jolie) with her Trident in the back of the head VERY VERY hard.

"SCHOOL BROOMS!" Vindictus called out at those who clearly weren't using their brains. Sometimes, he could be such a Ravenclaw. "If you stay in the water - STUPEFY! " he said as he shot a stunner towards the grindylows near Reese. "You're going to be attacked. STUPEFY!" He shot another stunner towards the other grindylow that was gnawing on Chris's ankle.

Willie was poking his wand in the direction of those creatures as well as Cy did, just poking it in the air as if poking them. "Ye be thankful I ain't down dere or I'd BITECHU LIKE... LIKE... LIKE THUMTHING!" Wow, now that was tough. Really tough.

"Thteal a broom, mate? That'th BRIIILLANT!" Willie exclaimed, shoving his fist into the air. "ATTHHHHHIIIIOOO THUMONE'TH BROOOOM!" Willie yelled into the air, feeling quite powerful.

Up until a bucket hit his head.

"YURP." He cried out, grabbing onto his flying bucket. Willie looked down at it and gave it an incredulous look. "I THAID BROOOOM NO' BUCKKETT."

WHOOSH. A few moments after he summoned it, Jack saw his broom headed towards him and he held out a hand to grab it. Once in his hand, he noticed that Reese was still nearby, although whether or not the grindylows had stopped attacking her was unknown to him. You couldn't see much with everyone splashing and stunning and shouting all around!

So, just for safe measure, he grabbed his broom and started whacking the area around her.

THUNK! THUNK! THUNK!

His broom plopped in the water with each and every hit, and Jack just hoped and prayed he wasn't doing too much damage to his broom. BUT he had to save Reese from the Grindylows! He wasn't even sure if he was making contact with this weird whack-a-mole attack style he had come up with, but it never hurt to be safe!

"Reese! Climb on!" he cried, mounting his broom and holding out a hand to help her on.

Aislynn didn't know what hit her literally, before she could even think...she passed out cold, everything went black and she fell back into the water, most of her body submerged. Her body sort of floated on the surface.

"Professor!!" Dani yelled. "I can't exactly pull out my wand right now!" She eyed the two merwomen. She was too tired to keep splashing and was panting now. She tried to see the professor who was on the other side of the merpeople, but they were so much bigger than her. A twinge in her shoulder reminded her that she had been stabbed earlier. She needed to think of consequences before she acted, she wasn't good at that.

"ACCIO BROOM!" he finally exclaimed when he saw that Reese was finally being saved.

Then his broom flew towards him, he got ready to hop on. Then he noticed snob get hit with a trident before passing out. He quickly rushed over and grabbed her, laying her across his broom before climbing on it himself.

He took off into the air.
