Lissy and imaginarynumb3rs :) Reese shook her head when Jack asked if she was excited for the OWLs. Who could be excited about the OWLs? There probably wasn't one student out there that was so excited about taking their OWLs. Reese was scared of them. What if she failed every subject? How would she get into a good department in the Ministry? The Department Heads look at your grades for the OWLs and NEWTs. But, luckily, she didn't have to worry about the NEWTs for another 2 years. "I've never been excited about taking the OWLs. I'm like terrified that I'll fail them," she told Jack, "I'll tell you the truth, and that is that I'm not the smartest person in the world. I'm the person that struggles on their homework and barely passes the classes each term." Well, at least she can say she tries her best, right? She took her eyes of Jack and looked down at her feet for a few moments, then asked, "are you ready for your OWLs?" She looked back up at him, waiting for him to answer. Reese grinned. "Jack, I don't know what NASA is. If that's believable or not," she confessed. Maybe NASA wasn't a big thing, so it was okay for her not to know what it is. "But, like you said, I would think traveling to space would be pretty cool," she said. "Awww. Well, maybe one day you can get a job where you can travel to space." Reese nodded her head and gave Jack a little smile when he questioned her about his laugh. "I do think you're laugh is lovely. The snorting and everything- and, yeah, I'll just be quiet now," she told him, the closed her mouth. "Then, tryout for Chaser. I would come to the game and cheer you on," Reese said. She looked at Jack when he said she should try-out for the team. Haha- no. She loved Quidditch, but truthfully, she sucked at playing. She could do little games of it in the backyard or something, but when it came to playing it on a house team, she would be a sorry excuse for a player. "It would be fun playing against someone you knew- but, I'm sorry. I'm not the type of person who plays Quidditch on the house team. I wasn't good at tryouts, when I did try out. I guess, it's just no my thing," she told him, "My hobby is more of playing music. I think I'd choose music over playing Quidditch, if I had the choice. I mean- I'm not, like, dissing Quidditch or anything, because I love the sport, but I just don't think I'd make a good player." Finally shutting up at the whole Quidditch thing, Reese turned back over to Wesley, who was literally scared out of her mind. Why else would someone stutter? Unless, they were cold or something. To be truthful, it was kind of chilly in the compartment, maybe she should have been smart like Jack and brought a blanket with her. "So, Wesley-" She was about to ask the girl if she was cold or something, but Jack spoke up and asked if she was excited for school. Letting them chat, she leaned back in her seat. |

"You should have shared." Leticia said as she and her cat walked down the corridor in search of the food trolley as her stomach growled. She could see another student walking around as well. Since Lettie had no idea where she was heading, she decided to ask for directions. "Excuse me." Lettie said and moved faster to catch up to the older looking boy, "Excuse me, hi." She said as she reached him, "Do you know where the food trolley is?" This boy looked like he was at least a sixth year, or maybe a fifth year, he should know. |

Gulp. Well at least he didn't try to lie about lying...He was too easy to see through and she'd been there when he'd left it anyway. No one had that bad of a memory. Melanie regarded him carefully and decided not to make some sort of sarcastic comment or criticize him. "Why?" she asked simply, giving him a quizzical look. "I'm not keeping it if that's what you want...If you don't take it it's staying right here for any passerby's to pick up." she informed him stubbornly. "Give it back to your dad or something...I don't know." Melanie said, setting the bag of money on the floor of the compartment and looking longingly out the window, wishing the train could move faster somehow. Quote:
Leaning on the door of the compartment, and pulling out of her previous position she'd assumed at sight of Jake's spider, she poked her head out, her hair spilling around her shoulders. "You can sit in here, I suppose." she offered, giving him a small grin. Unless you wanna stay out there yelling... Quote:
|
"Hey, nice to meet you Jake and Hayley." Natasha said to them both with a smile. "I'm good, and glad to be on the train again." Natasha said looking back at Melanie with a grin. "How about you?" She asked, curiously. |
"Bertie Botts,anyone?"asked Malfalda,holding a few oddly colored jelly-beans |

Then his face darkened again. "Does it matter, why? I don't want it, okay?" he snapped, losing his temper, and reaching out to open the window, before picking up the pouch and preparing to toss it out. But then Jake heard Melanie calling out to someone... someone Jake recognised. "Varius!" Jake grinned, eyeing the boy out in the corridor. Jake had admired that boy last year, he just had a kind of air that impressed Jake, and he was so bold and... cool. "Come in here, mate," he insisted, arm still poised, ready to throw the money. Thanks guys haha <3 Quote:
"Thanks for offering," he moved his way into the compartment and took a seat, immediately recognising Jake. Quote:
"Hi," he turned to the others in the compartment who he didn't know. No need to introduce himself though, they probably knew all about him, right? Of course! |

"What kind of music?" she asked the older girl, trying to turn the conversation in a more positive light. Music was one of the few things Wesley wasn't scared of. Unless it was loud. Then she didn't like it. Or rap. Wesley didn't like rap either. Quote:
His question stumped her. No one had asked her that. Father had told her she had better be in Ravenclaw, because if she wasn't then she was stupid. And Mother had said anything was fine, but Wesley knew she was leaning towards Gryffindor. "I don't know," she answered, uncertain, "I think you're right, they all sound lovely, but..." Wesley paused for a minute, thinking, "I'm happy just to be coming to Hogwarts." She smiled happily, placing her hands in her lap. And then, because she hadn't said so earlier, added, "I think you'll be a great Chaser." Secretly, deep deep down, Wesley hoped she might be in Slytherin or Gryffindor, because even though she wasn't very brave or cunning, she thought that since Reese and Jack were in those houses, they must be very nice houses to be in. |

"That was cool of her." Melanie replied, giving him a small nervous smile, still eying the spider situated on his shoulder cautiously. She knew who Kayla was though she couldn't quite understand why she'd want to give him a tarantula... "Fine then! But it's not mine and I'm not going to keep it." she answered, keeping her voice down. "I could are less if you want to toss it out the window." she grumbled, her good mood evaporating. "Excuse me for asking a question." Melanie mumbled under her breath, so no one else could hear her but herself, resting her chin on her knees again as she watched Jake, not truly wanting him to throw the money away, even though she knew she wasn't going to take it. Not unless he found some way of giving it to her without her own knowledge. "Look...don't get mad." she added, not wanting to deal with Jake when he was angry. "I'm sorry alright." she said in a defeated tone, frowning. "Like I said...do what you want with it." Melanie continued to ramble. Melanie realized Jake knew the boy she'd invited into the compartment...after all he was in their year...and their house as well. She just had never talked to him. Again with the living under a rock. Siiiigh. Quote:

And what was this talk about liking spiders? NO...she did not like spiders..but she didn't really have time to say anything before Jake called "Charlie." Hayley recoiled a bit as the spider, obviously a very small ( a baby maybe?) trantula scurried down from the luggage rack onto Jake's shoulder...actually the little fella wasn't so terrible. He didn't act like a spider who was going to bite her...or something along those lines. "Uhm...it's...it's not going to bite me, is it," Hayley finally stammered. "It's nice to meet you too," she said cheerfully to the other girl who had just entered the compartment... |
i'm afraid i must bid thee goodnight :( Quote:
"Hey Varius," Jake smiled, looking round at all the others. "This is Melanie," he pointed to the girl who noticed Varius first. "Erm... Natasha?" Jake pointed to the person only Melanie seemed to know. "And Hayley," he finished, finally pointing to the smallest girl in the compartment, who happened to be the same size as Jake. "It's all good," Jake nodded to the great onslaught of questions. Except the hair question. "Glad you noticed," he nodded, shaking the longish mess away from his face. "The hair is gonna be pink for, like, two years," Jake explained, steering away from the long story. "How are things with you?" Quote:
Quote:
Nodding solemnly, Jake realised it was a shame that this girl didn't know how much a promise from him meant. Also... nobody really knew how in tune Jake was with animals... it was a kind of talent he was good with. Like, he didn't need to learn anything, it was all instinct. In History of Magic when it was just about thinking with your own mind, Jake was pretty okay. In Herbology, it was practical, which calmed Jake, as well as in Potions. When it came to wandwork, Jake was forever failing. No, instinct was good. |
Sorry for my short posts, i'm tired and lazeh :P Quote:
"Hi Momo and how are you doing?" he asked the cat with not much response. Must be shy. Quote:
He was about to start up a completely different conversation when he noticed it. Springing from his seat, he practically screamed, "WHADDAHELLISTHATHING!? Are eight legs even legal!" He pushed as far away from the... THING as much as possible. |
Lanie! I found you! Quote:

Has Mystic was looking out the window she felt a great leap of excitement. She was going to Hogwarts and well get to try her eleven inch cherry wood basilisk plume core wand. She still finds it interesting and wonder if there is some meaning behind that her wand being made of cherry wood and her middle name being Sakura, which means cherry blossom in Japanese. She was a little nervous as well. When she gets to Hogwarts she will be sorted into a house. She really hopes that she is going to be sorted into Slytherin. Her father’s side of the family all as been in Slytherin. Her grandparent are sure she will be sorted into Ravenclaw or Hufflebuff. She is unslytherin as unslytherin can be. Mystic had put one of the Japanese books that she bought at Floursh & Blootts in Diagon Alley in her bag to read on the train. She retrieved it from her bag and started to read it. |
Christine made her way from the back of the train. She couldn't believe how crowded is was back there. She got to the front of the train and was happy to see it wasn't so crowded. Christine started to peek her head into compartments hoping to find one that had an open seat. |

Her face never faltered, only smiled wider and stepped into the compartment. She smoothed her skirt before sitting down on the seat next to Emiliano. "Piper, it's a pleasure to meet you. Karma Atkins, I'm a seventh year, and Em's best friend," she said, holding out her hand. No need to be upset at this. They didn't have the chance to speak over summer, so there was no need to be mad. Except for the fact that Karma still extremely liked Emiliano. It would have to be played cool for now, not that she had any intention of getting Emiliano back if he was set for someone else. |
Emiliano's heart was probably pounding twice as hard as he never imagined. He felt as if any second, he could run away and leave the two girls alone. But that was probably the worst idea, the worst scene to ever encounter. She sighed, as Karma kindly, as far as she looked like, introduced to Piper. That relieved him. "So, how was summer for you?" He asked her, trying to make the conversation a little more casual. |
Whitney strolled onto the Hogwarts Express, dragging her bag behind her. It was her first trip to Hogwarts. As she walked along, she peered into the compartments she walked by, looking for an empty one, or one with someone who would catch her eye. Arriving at an interesting looking compartment, she paused outside for a moment. Flinging her hair over her shoulder, and with a smirk falling over her lips, she stepped over the threshold. "Do you mind if I join you?" |
Helen seeked an empty compartment for two reasons. One, she didn't know anybody yet. And two, she desperately wanted to bounce her super ball. It was way too crowded on the platform, meaning it would get lost easily. And she didn't want to get a new one out of her bag in her trunk just yet. And she didn't want to risk loosing it in the corridor, either, and risk going into some compartment that was full. 'What if it was full of upperclassmen? That would be seriously embarrassing.' She wished she would find an empty compartment and fast. And as her luck would have it, Helen found one after peeking into about seven of them. She grinned when she found the compartment to be empty. 'Finally. Now I can bounce it as I please, without the risk of hitting anybody.' Reaching into her jeans pocket, she pulled out her blue super bouncy ball, and threw it down as hard it she could. The ball was a blue blur, bouncing up to the ceiling, then back to the ground, the walls, everywhere. Helen had to either duck, or move her feet every ten seconds. But then her luck ran out. The ball was coming towards her, and hit her square in the forehead before she had time to react. Helen fell onto the seat behind her; the ball fell to the ground and bounced a few times before stopping. Looking at where the super ball stopped, she rubbed her forehead with her hand."Ow..." 'Note to self: Never cherrybomb anything in small, enclosed spaces.' |
Karma shifted slightly as she looked over at Emiliano rather cooly. That's all she could do for now, later she would definitely have a talk with him when they were by themselves. "Ahh, summer. It was fantastic," she began, twirling a piece of hair. "Spain was as wonderful as always, and Germany as well. I missed my friends so much there. I can't wait until after graduation, we're planning a trip to Italy." Wow, way to sound snobby in front of someone you don't even know. Oh well, it doesn't really matter what Piper thought of her first off - most people were wrong with their first impression anyway. Her eyes fell back on Emiliano, something holding her back in a way. "How was yours?" |
A talk with Karma, later...would be awesome. Em might be needing a lot of guts and yeah, why not...a nice argument about that funny summer. He listened to her speak about hers. It sure had been interesting, Germany and Spain. "I am glad you had a nice summer, " He told her with a warm smile "Mine was great. I was with my parents and family at Mexico most of the time, then I came back in time for Reese's birthday party." He informed, sort of gulping at the way he had said it. Then he thought about the letters, those that were sent between Piper and him. He smiled, yet tried to get off that subject inside his head. By that time it was sort of out of control, the whole situation we would mean. |
He was soooo hiding something from her, and Karma knew it. Her eyes darted to Piper, and her eyebrow raised slightly, then back again. Something unsaid, that definitely NEEDED to be said, was floating between Karma and Emiliano, and she tried to not focus on that. His mind was a mess, she could feel it - and as for Piper's, it wasn't as interesting as she thought. Maybe it would be later... "That's good. I'm guessing you are living with Diana, and getting along well I presume? Kris and I are living at the house by ourselves right now, along with one of Kris's friends from Germany. Mutter and Vater moved out after we got back from traveling, and Kam bounces back and forth. It's quite interesting." |
