Alice wanted to laugh but at the look of seriousness in Theo's face, she had to control herself. "Well..it seems you treat Nia as your rivalry atleast for this height matter," she echoed her doubt. She knew about the sibling rivalry. Being a sister of Sarah did teach her a lot about how to tackle the mischievous ones. She grinned, and leaned in, so that her whisper could reach him. "Hey, why dont we brew some potion to grow fast?" her eyes twinkled and her eyebrows raised.

"Umm..can we have him in my hand? just for few seconds?" Alice's enthusiasm level was very high.

"Nia is a meanie. She picks on me. So if I was bigger she wouldn't pick on me," Theo shrugged, "She says I am a baby. But I am not. I am big and 13 now. I am nearly 14. Which is really big." He shook his head, "No I can't do potions. I would make it explode or something. But I can disarm you." He was proud of his one spell. He could tell Mr Ian about it.

"You want to hold Eddie? Erm ok then. You need to rub your hands on your legs to warm them up. And also to make sure they are dry. The sweat on your hands dampens his wings and then he can't fly, because they are too heavy." He smiled, and wiped his hands. He picked Eddie off his shoulder, and stroked him in his hands. He was soft and furry.

Alice leaned back, listening him interestedly. "Aw..dont worry, you will be as tall as your dad in future," she tried to persuade him as he was talking about his sister furiously. "But my dad taught me some techniques about how to brew a potion." her voice was low, only to hear Theo. "Disarming is good. But we need to learn more for our age," she nodded, hoping that he would understand what she was trying to convey.

"Okay.." she said, followed his every instructions "Is this enough? she showed up her clean hand to Theo and waited for holding Eddie with open hand.

"I can't do magic. It took me all summer to learn that one spell," Theo frowned. "It is hard for me to learn it. I could be a squib." He didn't want to be a squib. He wouldn't have a wand to hold if he was a squib.

He nodded. He stood up with his little bat, and placed Eddie in Alice's hand, "Don't hold him too tight or he won't like it. Also don't play with his wings, they are very fragile."

Alice was more curious now. What's the problem with Theo?! Why it took him all summer to learn a simple spell?! She squeezed her brain without proper clues. She had met him just a few minutes before and already started to like him, his innocense seemed tobe the main attraction.

"Look Theo, you're a wizard. Try to not to think of becoming a squib," her tone was changed from suggesting to lil bit of stressing.

But when he placed the bat on her hand, she forgot all the squib talks. Bat was the main attraction. She held Eddie carefully in her hand, without disturbing or damaging any of his tiny body parts.

Theo nodded, "I...." He stopped talking. She was distracted now. His bat was far more interesting, than himself. Oh well. At least someone was talking to him.

"Careful now," he said, watching carefully. He didn't know what would happen, if Eddie died.

"Yeah, go on." Alice encouraged him as she noticed him was about to say something but stopped abdruptly. "I'm listening to you," she nodded her head, gazed at him, gently placed her free hand on his arm.

"Okay, but keept watching me. I may make mistakes accidentaly," she warned with a giggle, stroking his tiny body with utmost care. Ha!

Theo smiled and shrugged, "I wasn't really going to say anything." Well that. And the fact that he had now forgotten. "I think he likes you."

He watched carefully. "You are doing ok. Just don't squeeze too hard."

Alice smirked, " Well..I thought you were about to say something," she eyed him again. "It seems like, but you know what? His sharp legs tickles my hand, " she giggled, turning her hand here and there to see Eddie in different angle.

"I want a talking pet actually, " she laughed at her own silliness.

Hah! That method always worked! Nancy grinned proudly at her accomplishment as the boy lying in front of her, now obviously awake again, started to talk crazy stuff. "Uhm...sorry?" What had that been about Manchester? Oh, whatever. She'd managed to revive him, well, of course not exactly revive since he hadn't been dead or anything but whatever. It felt good telling herself that.

Nancy's face fell immediately and turned into a frown at the boy's tone as he asked her to fix his nose and stuff. Quickly raising to her feet again, she now towered over him as she carefully stepped over him back towards the compartment door. "Oh, you're very welcome." She snapped at the boy before taking a seat again next to Jake. "Oh, maybe somebody else can do it for you. I'm not so sure about it, you know. How did that spell work again?" She asked innocently while giving the others in the compartment a questioning look. Of course she knew the incantation and everything since she'd just used the spell on her own cheek a few moments ago but Nancy hated rude people. Duh!

"Likewise!" Natka replied, also smiling at Shaylee.

"Oh, that would be lovely!" Natka replied, grinning at the offer of the sweet. She had always been a big lover of chocolate, and especially the frogs - ever since her mother had first given her one for Easter back when she was seven, Natka had been collecting the cards. She had quite a few stacked up at home by now.

"Yeah, the pressure was pretty bad... but you can get used to it," Natka answered, he mind spinning back for a moment to the day of the competition - the best day of her summer, in fact - before returning to the conversation at hand.

"It is going to be rather strange without the seventh years, although I can't say I knew any of them well. As for my subjects... Oh, I'm not entirely sure yet, I guess I'll try to take as many as I can, I don't particularly want to drop anything, although the homework does sort of suck. What about you, do you have any subject preferences?" Natka babbled to Lizzie, feeling overjoyed at having her friend to talk to again.

"Hi! I'm Natka, third-year Ravvie," Natka introduced herself to Marcus, who just entered the compartment, sending a friendly smile his way.

Emiliano noticed Piper, totally rising into some sort of anger, or either sadness; deep sadness. Then she spoke, he listened but quite didn't understood. He was confused, his whole brain was making lots of weird thougts at that minute. What is happening? Would someone actually tell me? Those, were actually his mixed-up questions inside his mind.

"I admit. Karma and I...had something going on last year. But this term is different, I am different. And this new me...is really glad to have you here. You may or not know the magnitude of that feeling, but I tell you...It's inmensely great to have a...girl like you. Don't go." He said, as he got hold of one of her hands with both of his, then went to sit next to her, quite much giving her those pleading eyes.

"Here you go." she handed Natika a chocolate frog. "I really should cut down on the candy, but i can't help it! Me+ candy= eternal happiness!" she joked. She joined in Lizzie and Natika's conversation about classes. "Ooo I can't wait for classes! COMC, potions, DADA, and ofcourse Arithmancy! That's my favorite." she told them. Demetria turned her head to the door of the compartment as a boy walked in. "Hello, there. I'm Demetria." she gave him a friendly smile and a wave.

Piper nodded as Emiliano spoke, and her eyes stayed on her jean encased legs, she knew that he and Karma were an item, and she had thought that they still were, until the train ride home last term. And then.. everything had changed..

She remained quiet and still and Emiliano spoke more, and she finally raised her sad violet eyes up to meet his pleading ones. She looked down at their intertwined hands, and she could feel a warmth spreading through her. "Em, you are right, I don't know the magnitude of your feelings toward me. But the last thing I want to do is come between you and Karma." Her fingers tightened on his. "I won't go, but you have to know, that I am not keeping you here, no matter how I feel about you, I want you to be happy, and if that is with Karma, then... well..it's with Karma.." Piper bit her lower lip as she looked down.

As a boy named marcus walked into the compartment, Shaylee smiled at him and said, Hello! Im Shaylee. She smiled at him and gave him a friendly wave.

Natasha grinned at the thought. When she was little was probably when she had the mots fun, well, apart from when she started going to Hogwarts of course. It was just that her house was pretty lonely.

"I'm glad you feel better," Natasha replied, smiling. "And stop apologizing, please?" She asked Tammy. "Do you want to go and find a compartment?" Natasha would just talk to Melanie at school, she just felt like being with Tam at the moment.

Emiliano needed to speak to Karma right away, but staying with Piper was just his priority at the time. He was confused about both girls, what he felt for them, but somehow his heart was now all focused on Piper.

"Karma and I only need to speak. It shall be a long chat, I should say...but things shall be cleared after that talk we have." He told her, letting out a long and stressed breath out.

"Melanie." she offered, wincing as her cat scratched Nancy. Ouuuuch. she thought, making a mental note not to mess with the feline...or even try to pet it. " I'm a second year Hufflepuff." she added proudly, giving her a happy grin. Wow...she was meeting a lot of new people today. Melanie glanced around the compartment, pulling her legs in farther so she didn't take up to much room. She didn't take up that much space anyway, being smaller built and short as well. Hmph. For once in her life that was coming in handy.

Melanie watched her seal her cut with interest making a mental note to try it soon when no one was looking...she didn't need a repeat when she'd accidentally made bark fly from her wand, when it was supposed to be arrows. NUh-uh.

Melanie watched the other girl play with Jake's spider, her eyes watchful in case it did decided to bite her, despite Jake's reassurances. Afterall, just because a spider wasn't poisonous didn't mean it wouldn't hurt if it decided to bite her. It seemed okay though, and Haley looked like she was enjoying herself...

Gryffindor maybe? She did act pretty brave.


"Yep...I'm sure I can think of something though if you gave me some time...." she answered. Her mind was too occupied to think of it now though, just too many exciting things going on at once and her anticipation at being so close to Hogwarts and being able to sit down at her house table in a an hour or sop was unbearable.

Melanie bit her lip so not to laugh as he told her his middle name. He must have had some really kind parents... "I guess not." she replied, giving him a small smile.

In response to Varius's question Momo hissed, an d promptly stalked off to find an empty quiet compartment to rest in. Geez, didn't these humans know the meaning off silence?! Why did the dumb ones have to get the pose able thumbs?! he thought, haughtily prancing off through the door as Varius opened it to leave, going in the opposite direction.

"Sorry...I guess he's in a bad mood..." she said apologetically watching her cat depart from the compartment. Hopefully he wouldn't give whoever moved the student's luggage a bad time...

Melanie glanced around to address Haley again. "Maybe later you can pet him then... I suppose he doesn't feel like getting attention today or something." she said, frowning slightly. Apparently Jake's little spider could behave much batter than Momo did. And he was a monster!!! Well in her opinion at least...Maybe she'd have to give the creature a try another day.

Melanie glanced up as Varius announced that he was leaving. Usig her noew nickname...she still wasn't quite sure what tot think of it...What if she smelled bad one day? Then would she be like "sMELawful" or "sMELnasty". Hmm oh well...she was good with personal hygiene and all that jazz anyway so no need to worry right?

Ohhh wait...Varius...Pfffttt she really had to stop being so forgetful.

"Yep you too!" she replied happily. "Bye then." Melanie said, giving him a short wave, before letting her hand drop back down to rest on her knee.

Melanie looked up as she recognized a familiar face entering the compartment. the tall boy from the Diagon Alley...the one, to be precise she'd sorta accidentally walked into. She opened her mouth to greet im, but as the train suddenly hit a rather rough spot on the track, Calrk went flying into the compartment, hitting the floor hard and...

Passing out. "I think he just blacked out..." she informed anyone who hadn't happened to notice, stating the obvious.

Sighing, Melanie pulled herself out of her refined position curled up in the seat of the train, plopping down on the ground to see if her was okay. He didn't look dead and that was definitely a good thing. Yep still breathing, but his nose was all icky and bloody. Eww.

Not having an idea what in the world to do she looked up at the others int he compartment, most especially Jake because, well he was just smart and Nancy because she was the oldest student in the compartment and surely she knew something that could help...hopefully anyway.

Melanie could have cheered as Nancy came over to awaken him, she gave her a soft smile, returning her confused look with one much like it, before turning her attention back to the fallen second year.

Okaaaay. Not exactly the the way she would have chosen to wake him up, but it was most definitely effective anyway. Even if he was going to be in a bit of pain when he woke up...

Melanie smiled happily as Clark came back, muttering words that didn't exactly make any sense. for the first time she gave his nose a second glance, where he was holding it, crying out in pain. She was sure Nancy's blow's hadn't helped that much, but they'd been necessary in waking him in the first place. Melanie watching him curiously... she'd never seen anyone break a bone anymore... Sure she'd seen people from her class come to school after a long weekend with a cast on, but she'd never actually been there when it happened. It wasn't quite the thrill she'd expected...in fact it was sorta painful to watch. She didn't like seeing other people hurt, most definitely people she knew.

Melanie frowned as he demanded help, poking her tongue out. "You don't need to be so rude about it. She just woke you up, you know. You were unconscious." she informed him, trying not to sound rude or snappy herself. "I can't fix a broken nose...but I bet I can get the blood of your face..." she answered, though she knew the question had been directed at Nancy. She was itching to try magic again and they were allowed to on the train right? Sides' it was for a good purpose and she knew just he spell. Melanie slipped her wand out of her jeans pocket, having not changed into her robes yet and pointed it at Clark's face, trying to direct it away form his nose so she didn't cause him even mere pain then he already had to endure. "Aguamenti." she said, slightly surprised she'd remembered the incantation after all this time, she concentrated on making water come from the tip of her wand....

And sure enough form the spout of her wand water came flowing out, crystal clear, perhaps a bit to powerful...but at least it had worked. Melanie looked up at Jake for approval (after all he had taught her the spell) a proud look on her face, as she tucked her wand back into the pocket of her jeans.

The blood dripped from Clark's face as it was hit by the water, contrasting against his dark complexion, and working the way she had desired it to. Still yucky though. Melanie shivered slightly at the sight, turning away slightly, not wanting to watch the spell's progress.

Melanie gave Natasha a rather pouty look. She didn't like being laughed at...Especially when she wasn't trying to be funny. Oh well though...At least she looked like she agreed. Meh.

"See ya." Melanie replied as her friend was dragged off by someone whom must have been a cousin, for how similar they looked. Melanie put on a concerned face as she realized how solemn they looked, giving her a small, encouraging smile as she left.

Melanie held back a smirk as Nancy refused to help after the way he'd spoken to her, pretending like she didn't know what the spell he'd asked her to do when she'd only performed it mere seconds ago. someone did need to fix his nose though, before it fell clear off his face....or something like that.

Melanie glanced around looking questioningly around at the occupants of the compartment, wondering if any of the others knew how to fix a broken nose, with or without magic...if not he may need to go to the hospital wing and there was no way she wanted to spend the welcoming feast there with him. no offense to him or anything...she just wanted to get acquainted with the people she'd lost touch with over the summer.

The girl stood up, not sure whether to offer him a hand or not as she looked at his twisted foot. "Anyone know how to fix broken bones...or heal wounds? That may work too." she asked, glancing around the compartment for help, her eyes lingering hopefully on Nancy for the briefest moment. Then, feeling out of place she slipped back into her seat, sighing hopelessly. "I can't do anything else." she said plaintively.

Sneeze walked around the train, not finding a seat. He took his pack, tired of walking. It was weird not having Rian here, her being his real connection to people at Hogwarts. He was really an outcast, sorta.

Malflda settled down next to James Longbottom,whom she had never met before."Hi,I'm Malfalda.Malfalda Marlowe.And you are?"she asked proudly,extending a hand

Piper sighed a bit, and she removed her hand from Emiliano's. She was struck by how empty she felt now that she was no longer attached to him. She could see he was getting stressed, and she hated to see him this way. "I think perhaps you should go talk to her. Get things worked out?" She suggested as she reached up to her bag and pulled out a notebook of her own.

Piper couldn't write songs, but she could write poetry and stories, and she also tried her hand at drawing. She pulled out a pencil and flipped to a page where she was drawing Emiliano's eyes. "I'll be fine.. and I guess I will see you at Hogwarts sometime?" She asked, she was trying so hard to be strong, so hard. But it wasn't working at the moment. She felt like everything was falling apart at the moment. She turned her attention back to her drawing, she stared blankly at the portrayal of his eyes for a moment before starting to sketch in his face, and then hers next to his. I'm not going to cry, I'm not going to cry.. I'm not going to cry..She kept telling herself as she took a deep breath.

Plymouth had always been one to be able to entertain himself. He'd been riding along, alone, for the longest time. Just as predicted. Currently, Plymouth was breathing hot air onto the window of his compartment to fog it up, then he'd write his name in the fog. Over and over. Over and over.

Well.

The back of the train had certainly been an adventure.

At least Anna had her first two duties as Head Girl under her belt. It'd been surprisingly easy, too. She'd been a little nervous...reluctant, even...but she'd stood her ground and both parties had come out smelling like a rose. Smiling to herself, Anna made her way to the front of the train, where word of mouth had reported things were a lot less hectic.

Anna needed less hectic right now.

By habit, she peered into each and every compartment as she passed. So far, so good. No lap sitting or fighting on this section of the train. Anna smiled when she peered into one of the last few compartments. Plymouth Morgan was sitting all by himself, blowing hot air onto the window to fog it up. Anna laughed lightly, then stepped inside. "Having fun?" she asked, taking a seat right next to him. She leaned over and placed her index finger onto the window, drawing a smilie face in the fog. The last time she'd seen Plymouth, he hadn't been doing well at all. Maybe he was feeling at least a little better now. "How ya feeling?"

Plymouth fogged the window up one more time and this time wrote Anna's name in big loopy letters under the smiley face. "I'll live," Plymouth shrugged her question off. He turned to face her, the one and only, always lovely, Anna. "How are YOU though? Merlin, you always look so pretty. It's baffling."

Anna turned her eyes back to the window and watched as Plymouth wrote her name in the fog. The best thing about Plymouth was that he always thought of others and their happiness, even during his not-so-great moments. Anna sighed softly and turned back to Plym. She studied his facial expression for a moment, wishing that she could just see him smile, then sighed once again. He sort of brushed off her question, but then again, she couldn't blame him. Not many people want to dwell on the dark moments. She'd had to at least ask how he was doing, though.

"I'm doing well...considering. I've already had to address one PDA incident and another fight. I think maybe a memo went around this summer that said, 'Anna Greingoth's Head Girl! Be on your worst behavior'!" She playfully rolled her eyes, then said, "No, seriously. I'm doing just fine, and thank you for the compliment. Tell me, Plym. Have you done something a bit different to your appearance over the summer? Whatever it is, I like it. You're growing up on me, Plym."
