The driver and snack lady sit up front in the driver's cab, but there are plenty of other compartments up here. Prefects have their very own!

"But, like you said, I would think traveling to space would be pretty cool," she said. "Awww. Well, maybe one day you can get a job where you can travel to space."

Reese nodded her head and gave Jack a little smile when he questioned her about his laugh. "I do think you're laugh is lovely. The snorting and everything- and, yeah, I'll just be quiet now," she told him, the closed her mouth.

"Then, tryout for Chaser. I would come to the game and cheer you on," Reese said. She looked at Jack when he said she should try-out for the team. Haha- no. She loved Quidditch, but truthfully, she sucked at playing. She could do little games of it in the backyard or something, but when it came to playing it on a house team, she would be a sorry excuse for a player. "It would be fun playing against someone you knew- but, I'm sorry. I'm not the type of person who plays Quidditch on the house team. I wasn't good at tryouts, when I did try out. I guess, it's just no my thing," she told him, "My hobby is more of playing music. I think I'd choose music over playing Quidditch, if I had the choice. I mean- I'm not, like, dissing Quidditch or anything, because I love the sport, but I just don't think I'd make a good player."

Finally shutting up at the whole Quidditch thing, Reese turned back over to Wesley, who was literally scared out of her mind. Why else would someone stutter? Unless, they were cold or something. To be truthful, it was kind of chilly in the compartment, maybe she should have been smart like Jack and brought a blanket with her. "So, Wesley-" She was about to ask the girl if she was cold or something, but Jack spoke up and asked if she was excited for school. Letting them chat, she leaned back in her seat.

Wesley paused for a minute, thinking, "I'm happy just to be coming to Hogwarts." She smiled happily, placing her hands in her lap. And then, because she hadn't said so earlier, added, "I think you'll be a great Chaser."

Secretly, deep deep down, Wesley hoped she might be in Slytherin or Gryffindor, because even though she wasn't very brave or cunning, she thought that since Reese and Jack were in those houses, they must be very nice houses to be in.

Jack shrugged. Excited about OWLs? Not necessarily. "Well, I'm excited about PASSING them, if I can, cause that's a pretty cool achievement, ya know? I'm confident I'll do good on Astronomy and Herbology, but other than that...kind of nervous. I'll have to do a LOT of studying," he said with a sigh. He already studied more than he needed to, according to his siblings, but he was just paranoid about doing badly on tests. "If you ever need a tutor, you can call on me," he added with a grin. He didn't want ANYONE to fail their OWLs, that just wouldn't be cool.

"You don't know what NASA is?" he asked, his eyes widening in surprise. Well, he really shouldn't have been THAT surprised--not a lot of magical folk knew what that was. He was pretty sure it was a strictly muggle thing he had learned from his great grandpa, who had found out about the program while vacationing in Florida. And thus started an obsession in his great-grandson. "Well, it's this muggle program in America where they send people into outer space--they do a lot more than that, but that's just the general gist," he explained. No need to tell her that he had at least 25 books on the subject, half of which were in his trunk right now. He didn't want to scare her away with his slight craze about space.

Jack looked over at Wesley as she asked what type of music Reese liked, and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah, what kind of music?" he asked. He hoped she said rock or something along those lines. Pop, he could probably handle--not so much on the rap. OOOOH, he did like dance music though. That was always fun.

"Oh, thanks," Jack said, smiling politely at Wesley's comment about his chasing skills. "Don't worry about the sorting--everyone is always nervous but no matter what house you're in, you'll make a ton of friends," he told her. Not that he could speak from personal experience or anything. He was doing a very good job of keeping his bottomfeeder status in the social ladder a secret, and he intended to keep it as long as possible, thank you very much.

Excited about passing them? That was a smart answer. Well, it was WAY better than saying you were afraid of the OWLs. "It would be a big achievement if you passed them," she said, nodding her head slightly. She really did hope she passed her OWLs. It would be really upsetting if she didn't. "Oh, so, you're good in Herbology, too? Hmm. You might just end up being my tutor is some these classes. See, I'm not good in Herbology either...I kill plants. As sad as it seems, it's very true," she added.

Blushing slightly, Reese shook her head. She had no earthly idea was NASA was. She can admit she has heard the name before, but never really questioned on what it was. It must have something to with space, since that was what Jack was rambling on and on about. "Oh, really? So, like you said early, muggle people visit the moon and stuff through NASA? Like, people who work for this NASA thing, they travel up to the moon?" She asked, trying to get interested in this whole outer space stuff.

Reese looked at Wesley when she asked what type of music she liked. "Oh, well. I'm the person who likes Rock music and Pop music," she explained, "I'm actually in a band with a few of my friends: Miles Parker, Lima Whigmeister, Whitney Ashford, and Vannie Corbette. Our band name is Lima and the Lemurs." She could go on about how they had a world tour last summer and how she was Lima's right-hand woman, which meant she also got to sing some of the songs, but if she kept talking about her band, it might seem like she was bragging and stuff.

Miranda squeezed through the crowded hall of the train, peeking into each compartment looking for any familiar face. Not that she'd made any close friendships her first year, but she'd grown a lot over the summer from the tiny girl she had been. Seeing a seat in a compartment near the front, she poked her head in.

"Anyone mind if I squeeze in there? Don't fancy standing the whole ride..."

"Truee....but then we wouldn't have got this compartment on our own." She nodded, in a matter-of-fact tone, before giggling. "You found me anyway so quit complaining." She stuck her tongue out at him, before smiling. Sighing the found his hand and slipped hers into it.

"Yup....then Dominic...is still the hufflepuff male one," She said, with caution, she didn't know how Miles would react to that. "And Anna is the Gryffindor Female...but shes Head Girl too....and Clifford is Head Boy" She nodded, she didn't really know who the other Prefects were. But Miles could find out that later right?
"Thank You." She smiled, as he pinned it onto her uniform. Yey now everyone could know that she was a prefect. "I'd look like a plonker though." She shook her head, still smiling.

He was about to start up a completely different conversation when he noticed it. Springing from his seat, he practically screamed, "WHADDAHELLISTHATHING!? Are eight legs even legal!" He pushed as far away from the... THING as much as possible.

A blank look appeared on Jake's face as he looked up at Varius, and then around to the other students in the compartment. "What's a 'pimp'?" he asked, confusion etched into every feature on his face.

And then... mass freakout. No... wait. Just Varius... but it seeeeeemed like a mass freakout the way that Varius freaked out. "It's... Charlie..." Jake explained, feeling a tad hurt. Charlie was tiny, he wouldn't hurt a fl- okay... maybe a fly. "He's a tarantula," he went on, confused as to why people didn't like spiders. Jake was afraid of alot, but spiders wasn't one of those things.

John's driving now since he's 16, so I spent a lot of time in the back of his car, to keep him (unwanted) company.

Looking curiously at Charlie and then back to the girl, Jake really did shrug both shoulders. "You know, I have no idea... I never asked, see? I don't think so, but then, I never made him angry before... So don't make him angry and he'll be okay," Jake explained. "He's fine when he's up here, I promise."

Nodding solemnly, Jake realised it was a shame that this girl didn't know how much a promise from him meant. Also... nobody really knew how in tune Jake was with animals... it was a kind of talent he was good with. Like, he didn't need to learn anything, it was all instinct. In History of Magic when it was just about thinking with your own mind, Jake was pretty okay. In Herbology, it was practical, which calmed Jake, as well as in Potions. When it came to wandwork, Jake was forever failing.

No, instinct was good.

Hayley smiled at Varius, "Hi," she giggled as she called Jake Jakeywakey...and a pimp...pimp...that was such a muggle word. What did it MEAN? Aww! Varius obviously did not like spiders...but she hoped his reaction hadn't scared Jake's little Charlie...

"I'll take your word for it," Hayley replied to Jake's promise that Charlie wouldn't hurt her...maybe..."Hey, do you think that maybe he would let me hold him." ZomG! Did I just ask if I could hold a SPIDER?!...oh well, not gonna take it back, besides...Jake DID promise it wouldn't hurt me...

Uuugh, he still couldn't believe that Lima had gone. It had been a sad day for everyone .. especially Miles. "I'm not complaining!" He gasped, squeezing her a little, just for fun.

"Head boy and girl?" Wooooah, you must be SUPAH clever to be in that position. So obviously, Anna and Cliff were even mooore goody two shoes than Vannie. Hehe. "That's cool. Well, atleast you got a badge." Miles had tried his best last year to overtake Clifford and Evie on the point board, but that had deemed difficult since they were in the thousands.

Once Miles had placed the badge on, Vannie looked much more adult, and also athourative. Rawr. "You look lovely." He smiled at her.

Once Olena, Pyralis and Lasca had left, Natka had indeed taken out her book, just as she'd planned. But she was only a third of a way through the second chapter of her Transfiguration textbook when she realised she'd been reading the same sentence four times already. Sighing, she'd decided to take a walk down the train and see if she could find anyone she knew.

Apparently, luck was following her around, because after passing numerous students she didn't recognise, she heard the much familiar voice of Lizzie, her Gryffindor friend, coming from a nearby compartment. Natka grinned to herself; she hadn't seen Lizzie the whoel summer, and she'd missed the energetic young witch during that time; being with Lizzie meant you were never bored.

Opening the compartment door, the young Ravenclaw grinned at her friend.

"Mind if I join you?" she asked, entering without waiting for a reply and going over to hug her friend.

Melanie realized Jake knew the boy she'd invited into the compartment...after all he was in their year...and their house as well. She just had never talked to him. Again with the living under a rock. Siiiigh.

"Welcome." Melanie replied, smiling slightly as he entered the compartment. Woooow...they were getting full. "Hey!...What's your name?" she asked, half-heartedly, her mind still somewhere else. "Mine's Melanie." she informed him. "But I have a few nicknames... I'm too lazy to list them out." Melanie added, leaning back in her seat. "And that's Momo." She said, feeling the need to introduced her cat as well, pointing up at the sleeping feline.

Certainly her friends were already inside the train so she started looking for them. After passing through the back of the train to the front of it she finally heard something familiar.
Ana followed the sound and there it was, Melanie and Cadence, she ran to them and with her arms open she grabbed them from behind and hugged them.

The summer was really cool but it is equally great to be back!

"Hiiiiii !!!" she said extremely excited for everything. Back to Hogwarts, see her friends again, magic, oh and she was curious to see the firsties.

"How was summer?" she asked Lanie and Cadence.

Certainly her friends were already inside the train so she started looking for them. After passing through the back of the train to the front of it she finally heard something familiar.
Ana followed the sound and there it was, Melanie and Cadence, she ran to them and with her arms open she grabbed them from behind and hugged them.

The summer was really cool but it is equally great to be back!

"Hiiiiii !!!" she said extremely excited for everything. Back to Hogwarts, see her friends again, magic, oh and she was curious to see the firsties.

"How was summer?" she asked Lanie and Cadence.

And then... more people. Jake raised a quizzical eyebrow at Melanie, before shrugging again. There was plenty of space in the compartment, and Jake was sure the company would occupy everyone so he could sit and read his book.

Finally time to set the foot in Hogwarts train. Alice stood there in the platform, seeing the train in awe. Surely it was going tobe a different experience, she had no doubt about it. She slowly stepped inside the front of the train, after she dumped her laguages in the laguage car.

She blinked twice before realized there was no familiar for her. Well ofcourse she had not met many people, but just one or two in Diagon Alley, that's all. She never realized that she was staning in the path, blocking the way.

Theo had sat down in an empty compartment. He didn't like the busyness of the others. The first years getting excited, and the others talking to friends. Friends that Theo didn't really have. He had Eddie. But Eddie was a bat, and couldn't talk.

He took an oatmeal and raisin cookie out of his trunk and began to break it up slightly. Things were easier to eat, smaller. He took a raisin out and held it in his palm. The little black bat swooped down from the boy's shoulders, and stole it away.

Theo giggled to himself. Silly Eddie. He sighed. He'd have to find something to entertain himself with. He had books. Maybe he should read something.

Alice got distracted by the little bat when she was about to enter one nearly empty compartment except one boy. "Arg!!" She almost jumped a bit, scared of the bird's sudden flight. He looked down at the boy who looked like a owner of the bat. "Is that yours?" she asked, with wide eyes.

Theo jumped as a girl screamed. Oh no, what had happened? He looked up, to see the girl in his compartment. HIS. She hadn't even asked to come in.

He nodded, "His name is Eddie. He is a fruit bat."

Nancy, still in search for a compartment to sit in, made her way through the train, always very carefully placing one foot in front of the other as to not lose balance. Jeez! Had it always been that difficult? Or was she being especially clumsy this year? And the fact that Chistery was meowing loudly into her ear wasn't exactly helping either. "Shut up!" She hissed at her black and white cat, already regretting her prior decision to take him along and not simply leave him in his cage with her luggage.

Still engrossed in thought about how much easier it would have been if she hadn't had the extra weight of Chistery in her arms to balance Nancy automatically continued to look into every compartment she passed to see if there was anybody in there she could sit with. That was the moment her blue eyes fell on a boy whose hair was a quite unusual color. And the boy even turned out to be somebody she knew. It turned out to be... "Jake?!" Staring at him, and especially his hair, Nancy went to stand in the compartment door with a smirk plastered across her face. "Uhm...what happened to your hair?!"

"Oh..hi..Eddie," Alice fumbled with words, still in bit of shock. Her dark brown eyes seeing the boy, waiting for his words to sit in the compartment as if he reserved the whole compartment. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked, unable to control her tongue for the first time. Oh..right..since when you came out of your shyness Alice!

Glad the boy was smiled. Atleast the boy seemed not rude. She took a seat just opposite to him, pulled up her robes properly so that it could cover all her body, smiled, "Nice to meet you Theo," relaxed a bit, "I'm Alice Winchester, new to Hogwarts, " she stretched out her hand before wiped it off on her robes.

Theo frowned. He didn't understand, "But only first years are new to Hogwarts." He didn't understand that people could transfer schools. He nodded, "He only eats the raisins out of my cookie."

Alice saw him frowned, might be in confusion. But it was the time she had to explain certain things. "Well..I was in Beauxbatons back in France, " she waved her hand as she spoke, "After my parents gone, I had to move here in London." she was trying to hide her sadness deliberately. It was not fair to make him uneasy by all her personal loss. She cleared her for now choked throat, "So..practically I'm new to Hogwarts but in third year. There are some exceptions in the rules." she said, looked at his face, hoping that he would understand.

"I see. Then gimme some raisins," she stretched out her hand, excited.
