Lucas was starting to panic when he saw the Librarian speak from behind the desk. He took a huge sigh of relief. "There's a boy on this floor besides the tapestry who needs attention. He's not feeling good." He said to her hastily. He wasn't sure she'd gotten him or not but this was as short he could make it. |

Before she could give a suggestion, however, she had to stop short to address the young Gryffindor. Quote:
Well, obviously this was a job for Caroline but it wouldn't hurt to quickly assess the boy herself while sending someone to retrieve Caroline. "Why don't you lead the way?" She offered as she came to stand by the boy. "Can either of you alert Caroline to this?" She directed the question/statements towards her fellow staff member and William. "Come now, young man. We'll figure out what seems to be the problem." |

"Yes ma'am. I'll take you to the place." He said to Madam Kohan as he started to walk with a fast pace. "He is currently with a girl there. She is looking after him. He's besides the tapestry on the same floor and I couldn't thing of anywhere else to go but here since it was the closest place from it." He added and then suddenly realised that he hadn't even said thank you to her. How rude of me. He thought to himself and turned back to her. "It's really nice of you ma'am. To leave your Library for the boy. I'm really thankful." He said in the most apologetic voice he could muster. |
Iris walked into the library, amazing place - so many books! She walked over to the front desk "Hello, Miss. Please can you help me, You'll know what book for me to get so I won't need to spend hours searching for the book I need." Iris said in her politest voice, After all - First Impression's should be Good Impressions! 'I don't even know what book I need though.' Iris stood patiently , waithing. |
Not knowing what to do while he was wondering around, Mat decided that his next activity was counting each cracks that was on the floor. That had to keep him busy from searching for the missing chocolate frogs that he so far hadn't been able to recover. His little game had lead him toward the library which so far he didn't knew he was standing in front of someone desk. All that was matter to him is that he had so far twenty thousand two hundred and eighty two crack and still counting. |
Dropping wearily onto her stool, Madame Kohan propped her chin on one hand and surveyed the library. It seemed relatively quiet...perhaps, she could chance a quick rest in her office before things became busy again. Quote:

sorry!! I'm back now! lol Quote:
Paris dusted her jeans off as she picked herself up. "Yes I'm alright. Just didn't expect that book to be that heavy is all," she smiled as she pointed her wand at the book and it levitated in front of her. "Thank you Madam Kohan for the book." she told her. She wanted to know everything there as to know about Da Vinci. She smiled at the librarian and went off into a cozy corner of the library to read her book. |
Angela lifted an impressed brow as the Slytherin spoke of her recent inventions. "My, my, you must manage to keep very busy." She imagined that she still managed to keep up with her schoolwork, or so she hoped. "Well, that will be quite the petition, but perhaps they'll allow it. Good luck on that." She commented with a slight smile. With a light chuckle, she nodded. "Of course. Hope you find what you're looking for." Once she had waved goodbye to the girl, Madame Kohan stepped back behind the desk, her gaze falling on the box of books that Professor Truebridge had brought by. Idly, she selected a few and set them on her desk. History of Quidditch...A Healer's Art...How to Get the Stain Out of Anything - Guaranteed!...A colorfully decorated book caught her eye and she lifted it out of the box. The Mermish was its simple title. Now this was something new. She didn't believe they had a book on purely mermaids and mermen. Setting it off to one side, along with several other books, Madame Kohan stepped from behind the desk again, planning to make a quick round through the library to ensure that the students were finding everything satisfactorily. She also needed to check in on Raven. |
Cy really was in awe by now, the curious first year had really sparked an interest as he’d heard Bunbury and some other Professors babbling something about merpeople around the corner on the seventh floor. He now found himself in the library, which was odd, because Cy wasn’t a big reader. He had a new theory though. And it was that he believed that merpeople lived in the lake. So it was time to investigate. He’d obviously watched too many mystery show’s as a lad. Finding Madame Kohan, Cy’s mischievous eyes landed on hers. “Ah, ma’am, you have any books about merpeople lying’ around here?” He looked behind himself for perhaps a fishtank. The only thing missing from this scene was a magnifying class in the clutches of the young Aussie. |
Now how was it possible that she had just returned to the library and was on the verge of searching through that book did a young student approach and ask for that very book? With a slow rise of her head, Madame Kohan smiled slightly. "Lying around? I suppose..one could call it that." She finally said with a laugh. "I was going to look at it myself but I suppose that you can look at it for a while." With that, she handed it to him. "Careful now, it's a bit heavy." OOC: I've PMed it to you ;) |
Lying around? What did she mean by that? Cy raised an eye as she grabbed the book. IT WAS GIGANTIC! Giving the Librarian a bit of a faded smile, he nodded. “Ah, thanks, I’ll just be a bit…” the Aussie assured her with his trademark salute. Taking the book, it fell towards the ground as his arms caught it. “Wow, too right it is.” Laughing, he made a go for the tables to read this thing over. |
Having just left the Potions lab, Anna stepped quietly into the library and headed immediately for the front desk. "Good day, Madam Kohan," she greeted. She'd always really liked the friendly librarian, and she'd definitely miss her once she graduated. "I hope you're doing well today, ma'am. I was just in the Potions lab and Professor Kazimeriz suggested coming here for a bit of research on merpeople, Mermish, and the such. Would you happen to have a good book I could try?" Oh, no! Cy was in here, as well. Great. She shot him a smirk, then tried to refocus her attention on the librarian. Why did that kid have to end up everywhere she did? It was almost as if he had this weird built-in radar that let him know just where she was at all times. That was it! It had to be! He'd been out to annoy her into insanity since the term began! Sigh. She'd be graduated soon, though. It'd actually be kind of nice to mend fences with the kid before then. |
Cam decided to follow Anna out of the Potions Lab and decided to well, because he was just soooo excited and impatient at the same time, ran straight down to the 4th floor, making sure not to make any ruckus. Librarians did NOT like noises near or in the library. That'll get you a smack in the head. Yup. He walked as quiet as possibly (see, he wasn't much of a quiet person) and glanced at Cy. Hmm. A huge book the boy got. Cam... never REALLY expected the Hufflepuff to read. He just... didn't look like the type?? He looked at the librarian and walked towards the front desk. Hmhmhmhm. Peace and quiet. It was all so boring, well for him. He liked noise. He liked chaos. "Excuuuuuuse me ma'am," he started off, trying to sound so poliiiite looking at Anna next, who said the words for him, "mmm mind if I can get the same book she's getting?" |
Torin headed into the library and spotted both Anna and Cam at the desk asking for the same book. Raising his brow, he wondered what it was that they were both so interested in getting. "Can I have the same book as they are getting?" He asked the librarian with a smile as he pointed at Cam and Anna. |

As the girl spoke of the potions lab and Professor Kazimeriz, Madame Kohan nodded slowly. "I believe I can help you..." Quote:

OOC: You've all been PM'ed. ;) |
Cam stared at Torin, the Huffie Reese was going out with. Oh wait. Didn't they broke up?? Ah, the man was lucky alright. But... THE QUESTION WAS, how did the guy know what book they were getting?! He hadn't even seen him in the same room, UGH, the guy must be stalking them. CREEPY STALKER he was for sure, and he took a step closer to Anna because he was getting freaked out. Could the guy have been an even bigger stalker than he was? NO--that was NOT possible. He gave the guy a loooong long stare before turning his attention back to the librarian. "Hmm?" He turned around to where the librarian was pointing at. Cy? It COULDN'T have been Cy, RIGHT? HoooolyGUACAMOLE, the kid was ahead of 'em. "Thaaankeeyouu miss!" And he headed off to to the young Aussie. |
Aislynn went to the front desk. "Excuse me, but could I please get a book on merpeople?" she drummed her fingers on the counter. "Actually any and all books on them, from their history to their language. Anything would be most helpful." She gave a sweet warm smile. |
Oh, lovely. Great. Peachy. Spifftabulous. So if she wanted this book badly enough, she'd have to share it with Andrus. That kid was going to be the death of her, no doubt. At least Cam, Torin, and possibly a few others would be sharing, as well. Maybe Cy wouldn't be too obnoxious to her with the other boys around. She smiled politely at the librarian, appreciative of the help she gave. "Thank you very much, Madam. I'll go join Cy now," she said. She nodded sharply, then turned and headed in the kid's direction. |
As Selena approached the front desk and asked: "Good day, Madame Kohan. Could I -," she saw Anna, Aislynn and Cameron all asking for the needed book. Her cheeks suddenly changed to a shade more red, and she added: "get the same books as these students have asked for, please? Thank you very much." |
Reese wandered into the Library and went straight to the front desk. "Good evening, Madame Kohan," she greeted with a smile. "I would like a book on merpeople." She began to rock back and forth as she looked towards some of the other people at the front desk. Where they getting the same book as her? Hmmm. |
The students at Hogwarts were very intelligent indeed. Ah, well, perhaps they could put two and two together better than she, considering that they were around the school more often than she. To everyone who came up to the desk at present, she pointed towards where a group of students had just departed. "Follow that group and you'll find the book you're looking for. Just please try to work together." OOC: PM'ed ^_^ |
Reese turned in the area that Madame Kohan pointed towards. "Okay," she said. "Thanks." She gave the Librarian a smile then headed off towards the little group. |
Okay, Grace was very late with the research group. She just knew it. She had run at full gallop to the library and now she was panting like a horse. Really. She chuckled at the thought 'Maybe I should have chosen a horse at Transfiguration.' Yeah, that'd suit better probably. She waited for some minutes for her breath to come, which didn't seem likely. Still panting slightly, she approached to the Librarian Madam and said "I'm in the flooding research group and wanted to ask if you can give me some Merpeople books." Her heartbeats got faster again, along with a redder face every moment. Grace shouldn't want anything from anyone, that showed. |
